Unplanned stop for lunch that was very pleasant and quite delicious. I got a Chicken Santa Fe Salad wirh a Sugar Free Frozen Caramel coffee and my wife got Hummus. Borh were quite delucious, alrhough I preferred mine over hers! Will definitely be back for more. Rhey serve breakfast ( which we live to eat out) and lunch. Coffee is excellent also! Must try!

Located in the Pontchartrain Square Shopping center, Coffee Rani has good food at reasonable prices. I always thought it was only a coffee shop, but was pleased to learn it has an extensive menu. After trying it last week, I enjoyed it so much that I came back the next day and several more times since. On my first visit, I dined in. I was not a fan of the way the dining area was set up. While there were some booths, many of the tables were set very close together. I dislike restaurants that do that because it makes having private conversations difficult. Some of the tables also were right next to the area where people ordered or waited in line. Sitting there when there was a line would be a tad awkward. Despite my issues with the dining area, the food has always been very good. The salads are the best I've had on the Northshore. Portions are large enough for a meal, and the ingredients have always been fresh and of high quality. On my first visit, I stayed in my comfort zone and ordered a club salad. On later visits, I decided to trust their salad making expertise and I ordered the Jamacian Jerk salad. Who would have ever imagined a chicken salad with olives, grapes and apples could be so good? I sure didn't, but it was great. I guess the point that I am trying to make is that, the food here is very good. Even if you aren't sure about the listed ingredients, trust that they know what they're doing. In closing, go to Coffee Rani and you'll enjoy it. Order to-go, and you'll enjoy it even more.

The grilled chicken Cesar salad is what I have always ordered. The passed 3 times going here the salads have gotten smaller.and the use to give you a whole piece of grilled chicken. Now I had to search for it. They cut it up now which they didn't do before. I guess that's how they great away with not giving you a whole piece of grilled chicken.

Very loud and busy, was seated at a horrible table. I came in with a party of 5 with my infant daughter in my hands and they didn't even ask if I needed a high chair, I had to get it myself, I felt like cattle, no service really, and the food is expensive and not that impressive. The presentation was nice, I guess. This is basically a hipster trap for the affluent people of Covington.

I only order two items here, only because they are my favorites. First one is Pesto Crusted Chicken Breast (no pasta or salad). Second item is Coffee Rani Wedding Cake, usually order 2 pieces, it is the best wedding cake I have ever tasted! I've never had a bad meal here, but if you do they will always replace it. They have wonderful food, anything that you order, you will enjoy!

Few months ago, a friend of mine brought me here ( right next to K mart in mandeville) and we had a great lunch, also got military discount on my meal. I kept going back to this restaurant and told my military friends about their military discount and all. But they changed their mind left and right saying if you are not in uniform, we are not going to give you the military discount even though we show them our government ID. So one day they feel like thanking the military and the other day they don't? Just remove the whole thing saying " we do not do military discount." Instead.

What a great experience. I worked with Taylor at the Mandeville location to order food for my Mom's birthday party. She was so helpful, and patient. I even called an hour before pickup time to add a party size salad to my order, Taylor's words were no problem we can do it, the salad looked and tasted amazing. Everyone at the party raved over how good the food was. I highly recommend Coffee Rani to eat and to use them for catering. Awesome experience!

I was really looking forward to Cafe Rani since it has a stellar reputation. The service was friendly and prompt, and I really liked the airy, warehouse ambience. I got the chicken quesadillas and I found them to be kind of bland, without enough cheese. There was a flavorful peach (I think) dipping sauce. Personally, however, I would not have been paired this sauce with this quesadilla. I certainly appreciate the creativity though, and I was NOT expecting them to come with a pound of cheese and ranch dressing, just to be clear. I would like to go back to Cafe Rani and try a salad.

Wonderful fresh and creative menu never disappoints. It’s one of our favorites for dine in or carry out, any meal of the day. I remember a few years back when I came in with a friend, and she inquired about a sauce because she has food allergies... They offered to ask the kitchen how her allergy could be accommodated so she could order the dish, and instead of just omitting, the chef suggested a creative substitution he whipped up on the fly for her. I’m always impressed with the way they go above and beyond. It’s like 5 star service and skill, in a cafe.

To start off, I ordered over the phone and when I got there I stood in front of the sign that said "TOGO pickup" for about 10 minutes before someone helped me even though there were two employees at each register doing nothing. My order was 2 pieces of chocolate cake and one piece of wedding cake. The part I hated most was the portion for the price. the wedding cake costed more than the chocolate cake yet the piece of wedding cake was half the size of the pieces of chocolate cake. It was the most under portioned, overpriced slice of cake you could ever hope for (not).

After eating I decided to go up and get one, and when I asked for something she told me to be more specific because she didn’t know what I was talking about. Just not very nice. I’m a waitress so I understand busy lunches but sometimes you have to fake it.

Even though the place was almost totally empty, several tables and all of the booths had dirty plates on them. Rude service as well. When I asked our server for butter for our toast she pointed to a setup across the room and said, " it's over there." We won't be going back.

I gave 4 stars only bc of its parking availability is out of this world frustrating. It's everyone's go to place for lunch particularly and it's a fight just to get a spot to park . Very face paced, crowded but not overwhelming for me .Food is delish , staff is welcoming and fairly priced I believe . They have two locations and both are booming in business . I've never had a bad experience, nice place overall !

Excellent lunch spot. You cannot go wrong with any of the salads. They are wonderful and fresh. The selection of desserts is also top notch. We have been many times and have never had a bad meal there.
