I have been going to Cafe Cafe since its inception, and have NEVER been disappointed in either the service or the food! Sure it gets really crowded, but the staff are usually right on it, and have a really great system to pump out your coffee/food. The desserts are huge, and I can usually eat on a slice of cake for about 3 days. I love the fact that they hire persons with disabilities. It will always be the place that I go to great salads, soup, coffee, tea, and service when I want something quick and good.

OK now this is a guy reviewing so take that into consideration. The menu is mostly salads which are a good size and have a verity of dressings. Sandwich too but id didn't one. You could go there just for dessert! During lunch it's all women and old people.

The food is good and consistent however going at lunch time resulted in us not being able to get a table to sit down to eat and it was 42 degrees outside. Wound up sitting in the cold. There needs to be some organization so that people can get a table. Seems like people walk in the door and sit down while they wait for their food however people don't get up in time and you wind up with people standing around with trays of food and nowhere to sit. I will never go there again and suggest people avoided during the crowded times

Great place to meet have a pastry or meal with coffee and talk with friends. Nice atmosphere for chatting and catching up. My wife's favorite is the chicken salad with mango dressing and the CHOC-O-LOT cake. My favorite is the chicken salad sandwich on croissant and the CHOC-O-LOT cake. The other deserts are all great too.

They serve reasonable coffee. They can't do anything not on the buttons, so no ristretto or lungo, but not bad nevertheless. And, they will serve in warmed ceramic cups of an appropriate size, which is a big plus. The food selection is good for a cafe. I'd like some variety in the seating - some booths and some sofas and armchairs alongside the wooden chairs and tables, but that's just me.

The food is delicious! The atmosphere is great.... plabut the place is filthy. The door to the kitchen is covered in who knows how many years of filth and the walls are coated in gunk. They clean up dishes off the table quickly but don't even wipe off tables. The floor has food debris everywhere.

Caffe Caffe has (racist staff) I pick up and deliver food orders for Postmates During my pick up from Caffe Caffe on April 25,2019 @11:15am. I entered the establishment with phone in my hand, walk right up to the line at the register, while I was stand in the line with three people ahead of me. I decide to double check the order on the phone; so my head was down for maybe a minute. Once I looked up and I was facing the direction of the small rectangular shaped kitchen window. There was three guys of Caucasian nationality. One of the guys who was the husky built one made a very loud and obvious remark “hey guys there’s a crab in the building” as he stairs at me with a smirk on his face. The entire staff all started to laugh the ladies behind the counter the guys in the kitchen. I asked “am I the crab your referencing to” the husky guy disappeared from the view of the window but, still some the staff were laughing and one of the ladies behind the counter “said I can’t believe he actually did it”. The experience was of something in all my years living in New Orleans and traveling and working the surrounding area I haven’t ever encounter. It was disappointing knowing in still in 2019 there are people who are so heartless, ignorant and evil that they would take the time of their day to give myself or anyone else of a darker skin complexion their entergy and time out of their work day just to feel as superior.

I visit Caffe Caffe every once in a while. I really enjoy their soups and salads. The soups always have a rich broth and they vary depending on the monthly offering. My favorite is the chicken salad. I have enjoyed it on a salad or a sandwich. I also like their shrimp salad. Their desserts are always wonderful. My only complaint is they are quite far from my home so I don't get to eat there often.

Stick with the pastries, ordered an egg salad sandwich and i still cant understand how you can mess that up, eggs were old not fresh In response to the owner i can assure you that MY BATCH that i paid for was NOT FRESH...i dont know why people get so surprised when someone doesnt like a dish just because its popular, news flash not everyone has the same tastebuds... .i also saw your first response that said you would never serve old poultry to customers, that you decided to edit and delete, instead of just apologizing that i experienced a lack luster dish. This place is a noble attempt to emulate la Madeline minus the French influence. Salads and wraps made with fresh ingredients. A little pricey and smallish portions. Ok but nowhere as good or flavorful as La Madeline. Their gumbo tasted more like chicken stew. Still, very respectable service, food and quality. From the looks of this place they may pandor to an older crowd who prefers food a little bit more on the neutral side.
