Great beignets and service, but the order pickup location should be separate from the pay location... It was awkward trying to order and having someone look over my shoulder waiting for their food while I was paying... Was also awkward having to do that same thing to someone else when they were trying to pay. There also needs to be a better option to get the flies out of the dining area... but that wasnt too big of an issue. 4/5 stars!

Delicious and quick service. The beignets are mouth watering...just make sure you dont forget the napkins cause the powdered sugar is crazy heavy. I REALLY like the Frozen Cafe Au Lait. It had me stopping there every day twice a day for three days during the Lagniappe Dog Show in Kenner LA. Will definitely be back to this Cafe every time I am back in NO or Kenner.

A quieter outpost compared to the famed French Quarter location. Ample parking in the back, no lines, locals only, giant display of merchandise, and the same beignets quality. It is a great dessert option if you are in the area, or about to get on a flight.

These beignets... thick, fluffy, not overly sweet at the base, and submerged in powdered sugar for you to pile on as little or as much as you'd like. It's a nice little environment (with Wi-Fi) to relax and get some work done. If you've never had a real southern-style beignet, Cafe Du Monde is the place to start!

Love stopping at Cafe Du Monde! This is a satellite of the original Cafe Du Monde still in operation in the French Quarter. I like this location because you still get the same great coffee and beingets without having to go so far. Another bonus is there is no wait time due to tourism like you get down in the French Quarter.

This is not the original Cafe du Monde but it is a much more pleasant experience than fighting the crowds of tourists in the French Quarter. The service is fast and friendly and there is even a drive through window. The beignets are perfect as is the CDM coffee. Although cafe au lait is the featured coffee, there are other coffee options and also milk/chocolate milk options. There is a decent sized parking lot and also souvenirs available for purchase. Highly recommend for residents and tourists.

I had to try the beignets as it was my first time in New Orleans. They were served fresh ( you could see the bakers preparing them) and they were as tasty as I was expecting. The coffee (iced cafe au lait) was good and balanced but not something exciting. I would certainly recommend the place to everyone around the airport who needs some relaxing time enjoying a simple yet delicious desert with coffee. I would certainly visit the place again at the first chance .

Love coming here when in town. ✓ Quality of cafe au lait. ✓ Quality of beignets (check out that liberal layer of fluffy, powdery sugar!). ✓ Quality of service. ✓ Avoid the crowd. ✓ Clean place, attentive staff. Limited parking up front, more in the rear. I would choose this over the OG if I get to avoid the crowd and enjoy a stress-free morning cup.

Only reason to fall one star short is because of no wait staff. You do have to order and pick up at the counter. However, those behind the counter are very courteous. The coffee and beignets are as excellent as the original location. Try this spot in Kenner when passing through or no time to get to the French Quarter. You will go away happy.

I love this place! Also, I know the local secret & essentially never wait for a table. It's a must visit when I'm in New Orleans. Nobody does cafe au lait or beignets better. Order for two: 1 Cafe au lait, 1 OJ, 2 Waters, 2 orders of beignets. Eat, pay, tip well, STACK YOUR PLATES FOR EASE OF BUSSING and run so another person can enjoy. This is not a lounge around place.

When it comes to experiencing the things that are truly unique about Louisiana and New Orleans, this is definitely one of those things. Now, this is not the original location with all the history and ambiance of being in the French Quarter area of the city, however this gives you one of the parts about our area and that is the flavor. What's better, is that you can get this without all the traffic, noise and smells... that can come with the original location. If you have the time, it is worth going to the French Quarter location and really getting a feel for the whole experience but for those that have and just want to savor the flavor without the unsightly aspects, it's nice to be able to do so.

Maybe we went at a bad time but the cafe was disappointingly dirty and not enticing in any way. My family insisted we try out Cafe Du Monde as we were passing through New Orleans. They hyped it up so much that we were a bit disappointed when we walked in. The main fryer's vent had gone out so the cafe was filled with smoke/steam and felt like 90 degrees inside at 9am. Everything was sticky and dusty and to me the food was just ok. Maybe the surroundings ruined it for me but I could live without.

Same great flavors of downtown New Orleans, only without the hassle of the crowds to fight through. Delicious coffee, and the beignets were a perfect portion for one (3 pieces per order). Lots of powdered sugar - and it will get everywhere. Be prepared to have it all over you.

They need to explain the menu items to the staff. It's nearly impossible to get anyone there to make a large iced black coffee. I always get a blank stare from the employees at the drive thru. If it's on the menu, they should know how to prepare it!

Holy moly the coffee was strong and the beignets were just what the doctor tells me to avoid. My drink was like 6 shots of espresso, with ice, and coffee beans were thrown into a blender. Not in texture or consistency but strength. May just be my Starbucks replacement. If only they had a smoked bacon cheddar... (wink)

*NM DONUT KWEEN ADVENTURES* I dropped by the Kenner location of Cafe Du Monde for 3 reasons... 1. It was steps away from my Kenner hotel 2. I knew I couldn't get to the original French Quarter location until the following day 3. I needed a BEIGNET in my life urgently! I was super excited to walk in and see the hustle & bustle going on around me. I didnt care that the line looked a mile long. In reality there were about 15 people in front of me. Not so bad.... i was willing to wait it out for just one bite of deliciousness. While in line i scoped out the place. I loved seeing all the bright colored mugs for sale along with the Cafe Du Monde coffee and beignet mix. *Note to self: buy beignet mix at Original Location*. There were tables filled with grown ups and kiddos enjoying their fresh made fluffy puffs of yumminess! Lucky for me the line sped on by and before I knew it... it was my turn! 2 orders of beignets to go and 1 order to eat immediately and a large cafe au lait. Oohhh i couldn't wait to take a bite! Ya'all know i don't like coffee but how could I break up a match made in heaven! Cafe au Lait & Beignets!!!!! I took a seat, snapped some shots and then bit into this beautiful creation! It was just as delicious as the first time id had Cafe Du Monde in 2000 and again in 2011. Yummy!!! Happy Servers! Perfect Service! Good coffee!! Beautifully made Beignets! I couldn't be selfish lol so i took some back to the hotel and my duckie loved them!!! Kudos to Cafe Du Monde for the yummiest beignets!

Had a great breakfast here the other day. We walked in mid-morning and had our pick of tables. They made the beignets fresh to order and the cafe au lait was a nice complement. I have been to the location in the French Quarter and preferred my experience here, both for the lack of crowds and the amazing freshness of the food.

If you are in the New Orleans area this is one of the places that you have to check out. It is classic it is timeless and you will want to go back. The beignets which come in an order of 3 are so good and quite tasty. They have quite a variety and you can grab some hot chocolate or some chocolate milk to go along with them. Good prices only make your options even better.
