This Coffee Shop is classified in the category of Restaurant.
Love this place!!! I have to come every time I'm in NOLA. This drink is my fave. The ambiance is amazing. You listen to jazz while you sip on your drink.
Absolutely the worst place in Bourbon st. Will never return. Rude manager and staff. There was a young man on the sidewalk outside playing his little guitar and they were so rude to him. He wasn't drinking or being rude. Can't let them ruin my entire experience but it was really bad. Worth walking right on past. Wishing we wouldn't have stopped after seeing them be so rude to the young man. Completely uncalled for. For such a popular place this was a complete turn off for me. They were more interested in the outside than the inside. Just my 2 cents.
The beignets were amazing. They taste like funnel cakes or elephant ears. Fast service and a bit busy.
Great food and the warmth of New Orleans. Want to know what New Orleans is this is the place to find out with live music New Orleans style. Great job!!!
First time visiting the states. Stayed in Mississippi and spent the day in new Orleans. Absolutely loved it great food and great atmosphere
Our Beignets were burnt and this was not the first time. Would not get a beignet here, go do the touristy thing and get one at Cafe Du Monde.
Morning walk on Sunday, jazz lofting through the courtyard. Breakfast was just ok, standard American potatoes and eggs were ok. Bloody Mary was just ok. Beignets are really good. Prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is great. Staff were happy and good sources for local info.
Good food and great place
Other than being pooped on by a bird, the patio was wonderful place to enjoy my beignets.
Friendly staff and delicious beignets.
I prefer Cafe Beignet any day over the other guys in town. The beignets are delicious, service is superb, and it is a cute, quaint location full of charm.
The pricing was surprisingly fare. seating stays full it was fairly busy with a lot of energy, kinda grimy where you eat outside although that's most of the French quarter. But to be fair the coffee was great as well as the beignets and the waiters were polite.
I enjoyed the sausage omelet and beignet I ordered for breakfast. The sausage omelet came with a small piece of toast and grits. Didn't care much for the grits but the toast was good when paired with the omelet. Also ordered the White chocolate au lait. The sitting was very cramped up but the food was good.
Their beignets were a little too soft and doughy for my taste. Ordering was quick but you gotta be quicker to get seats as the seats sometimes are all taken are you order. There's live music at ground level (outdoors), and a small second level outdoor dining area that has a better view of the entrance than of the band. As for waiting on the order of beignets, it was a little longer than I expected especially for not having to stand in a line to place the order.
Great beignets and jazz at 8:00AM- what more can you ask for?
Great space - all outdoor in a courtyard. Live music. Beignets are great!
Great drinks. Actually the best on bourbon street. Craft made cocktails, not stingy on the alcohol like the other bars on bourbon that were twice the price. Always great music, worth spending hours here, eating and drinking. By far a better beignet stop than the other more "famous places".
Great beignet 3 for 3.99. Open early and usually has music
Not overrated, in my opinion. Good food, decent drinks, very good music. if you had a large group, you might have a very hard time finding seating, but that's the only down side I can see.
Skip the wait at Cafe Du Monde, this place had the best beignets in town.
A landmark if you have time for the line then make sure you visit. Some places on the internet say they have gluten free....not true. That's the only reason for a 4.
Beignets with coffee are amazing the funny thing is that they actually have a menu with other stuff but because the Beignets and Coffee so popular I didn't have time to look at the menuo
Nothing bad can be said about this place. Great place to stop, relax, take in some jazz, and a bite to eat. Trying a beignet is a must when in New Orleans and this is the place to rake in this delicious treat. Love the atmosphere feels like a peaceful retreat amongst the craziness of Bourbon street.
I like the variety. Nice place food looks delicious.
Still serves local New Orleans cuisine along with jazz music in the back ground.
Awesome beignets, friendly atmospherw and jazz musicians were great!!
The staff is cool, the food is good. The music, on the other hand, could be better. The piano man is alright but the guitar man makes me want to pass out and take a nap.
Line was long but moved fairly quickly. Beignets were good
Exactly what you want, intimate setting, away from the craziness of Boutbon st, excellent beignets and coffee. Great place to start the day in NOLA.
Better beignets than cafe du monde though the coffee isnt as good. They also serve other food which is nice.
Stop here 2 or 3 times a day for Cafe au lait and beignets.
The place is lovely but the pastry and coffee are stale! Horrible morning experience.
Excellent! Food and service great! Did I mention the beignets? Awesome!!!
Almond Croissants are great. I didn't ask to have it warmed, which would have been even better so ask! Music at breakfast was nice.
Delicious beignets and coffee. Service was quick and friendly.
Live music was great, and I had like 7 beignets. Couldn't recommend more highly.
It serves delicious breakfast pastries. It is the national pastry of the state of Louisiana. It is a price efficient and well worth the money.
Sooo the beignets are good. My hubby loves them but I prefer Cafe Du Monde. What I didn't like about this place, is the DIRTY air vent located right above the dessert/serving area. It's soooo dusty and dirty along with the ceiling around it. Health code violation. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in at least a year.
The food was lacking but the atmosphere was great. Lovely on a sunny day.
Cafe Au Lait was lukewarm, not hot. Unforgivable. Beignets were OK. Go here just to fulfill the tourist experience. Better (and cheaper) coffee can be found elsewhere.
Wasn't impressed with the beignets but the fried okra and shrimp were good
Great music and great Beignets
Very fun atmosphere and the beignets were delicious! The coffee I had was fair, it may have been a little burned but since I have only been there once the sample size on coffee is too small to draw any reasonable conclusions! I loved the live band they had, service was quick and all the beignets were made fresh which was wonderful!
THE BEST beignets in Lousiana! Cafe Du Monde has NOTHING on Cafe Beignet. The beignets here are light, fluffy, & sweet with lightly crisped edges. Yummy.
Food is excellent. Wait time is a bit long, due to the popularity, but worth it!
Beignets were gud cajun Hash was very gud eggs grits needed salt n pepper daiquiris were amazing
Been here twice now and I love it!!! The best to eat and sit down place,
Delicious... Beats the free for all at Café du Monde
Great service I would come back
A must see and try in New Orleans. The beignets are the most delicious and oily sweet thing you'll try. But go for it. They are NOLA doughnuts. The cafe au lait (cafe con leche un Spanish or coffee with milk in English, I'm sorry I don't speak French) is delicious. Ordered it cold or hot. The musician that plays there is wonderful.
This is a New Orleans must. The morning line is looooong so catch them at noon or after. The prices are a bit steep but the food and confections are tasty. Please just go there because when you get home everyone is going to ask you if you went. Don't disappoint them.
A tour guide recommended this place. We were a little worried to go on Bourbon street with our kids around noon on a Saturday. But, we were only on the street for one block. We were pleasantly surprised at the location. The beignets were great and the live music was a plus. The price for the beignets was very reasonable.
It's a very upbeat environment with live entertainment good drinks from coffee to alcohol and great pastries and sandwiches. Will recommend as long as you find a seat! Most times is full but its worth trying!
Good food and great atmosphere.
Great place for breakfast. Outdoors, best jazz we heard all week. Our first visit we didn't have to wait, but the day before we left there was, but it moved right along. One has to remember, that in the French Quarter, the better the food, the longer the line. Go early.
My wife and I were visiting New Orleans for a week from Iowa. We had so much fun we decided to review everywhere we went. Good and bad. This is one of the good ones. The pecan waffles were life changing! I had never had a beignet before my wife took me here and they were amazing and I can't wait to go back for more.
Worst grits of your life. Not fully cooked, no flavor. Omelette is ok.
Don't waste your time going here for breakfast. Theirs "scrambled" eggs taste like they came from a carton, they are thoroughly unseasoned so make use of their hot sauce, and aren't very scrambled. The "hash browns" are misnomered and are rather homestyle potatoes. Similarly unseasoned and not very pleasing. The only good thing here were their beignets but weren't outstanding due to the overwhelming amount of powdered sugar on them.
Nice environment, fast service, nice food. Certainly a great place for a meal. I was particularly impressed by their cappuccinos! Very foamy.
Better beignets than Cafe du Monde and better attitude too.
great music good drinks
Beignets and Cafe au Lait were wonderful, sweet courtyard. Very busy. Seems like they could expand a bit.
Quick service, reasonable prices, and good food
Would have give a 5 for delicious beignets but come on $4 for a glass of milk. Shame on you greedy owners.
So light and fluffy but a lot of powdered sugar. The coffee is delicious. They often had live music which was fun. I like that it's not the heavy tourist spot.
Unwelming. Mocha wasnt good, muffuletta was warm on the edges and cold inside, the salad that came with it was a joke, my friends omelette was basically a small pile of eggs with a couple pieces of ham, servers were short with us when they brought out food. I wouldnt recommend, theres so many better places to go.
Unfriendly staff. Got roast beef po boy. Tasted like microwaved frozen old beef. Not a good experience.
Great place to catch your breath in patio atmosphere and soothe your ears from the wildness of Bourbon St. Lots of variations of Jazz from morning to night with tasty hot/cold NOLA food, including delicious Beignets. Loved it. NO. Lover
Amazing! Live jazz, incredible beingets, coffee and service. Love the courtyard and music to chill while enjoying pastries and coffee.
Great Beignets and better vibe. This location can be very crowded early but the performances are worth it.
Really good cranberry orange scone. I'm not usually much for scones, but this one was good. Not dry at all. The rest of their menu looked divine - definitely want to try this place for a real breakfast next time I'm in NO!
Beignets were good, service and music were great.
100% best Beignet in New Orleans. Great live music from local artists. Makes Cafè Du monde look like chumps.
Great food. Love music with great outdoor seating. Unfortunately bottled water only
Such a cute place. We went twice during our time in New Orleans for coffee and a pastry. The art and structure of the cafe is beautiful and it is right in the French Quarter near all the shops. I had a latte that was very good and an apple filled croissant that was AMAZING. I definitely recommend stopping by. It usually looks busy but we never had a problem getting a table.
Marvelous delicious desserts, beautiful live music, cozy atmosphere and friendly personnel. Thank you so much for nice evening at this place. Only one little thing I would like to say about service, when busser-lady was cleaning table near us with a spray, she sprayed on me and my family and our food. It wasn’t very pleasant. Otherwise, we liked everything.
Very good beignet, just as good as care du monde and they serve beer and liquor. Good place to get access to a bathroom as well, which is a comodity on Bourbon Street
The beignets were fresh and the cafe au lait was good. The donuts weren't overly powdered. And the shop is quaint. Recommended.
French modern vibe and the coffee was unique and quite delicious
Food was good, took awhile to get, great atmosphere!
Really like the ambiance with the live music and patio seating. Beignets were good and a reasonable price. Ordered platter with fish and shrimp. They forgot to tell us that they were out of fried okra and instead gave us a plate of fries. I’ve had better fish and shrimp in houston. A little crunchy for my liking. Frozen Daiquiri had a really good flavor but just basically tasted like a frozen treat. I’m not sure they add much liquor at all.
It was good for a quick small bite. Mimosas and food weren’t bad, even waiting in line was not painful. I love the atmosphere and the employees were friendly.
Food and service are amazing!!!! They were also very sweet to my kiddo when she wanted a cafe au lait
I went there bright and early and the line was outside the door. Definitely worth the wait. Customer service was great. The place is really small and crowded. Wish there was more room for inside seating. I went in March and it was really cold. We had to seat outside due to there not being enough seats inside. Nonetheless the beignets were so delicious. I ate way too many. This was just for me and my spouse.
Quick service and the beignets are fresh and amazing......
Cant believe how amazing the food was here. We tried a few places and were starting to get dissatisfied with the different food options recommend to us and then we found this place. This was the best food we had so far
One of several Cafe Beignet locations directly in the Quarter, but this one is definitely in the heart of the action. I prefer this one in the evening (if you can find a place to sit/stand), but the Decatur location during the day. Enjoy the tastes and music!!!
One of my favorite places i went to. Small and cute. Loved the pastries
Best place to get beignets in NOLA
Great coffee and live music.
The beignet is fluffier & the outside is softer vs. Cafe du Monde which has more of a light crisp texture on the outside & soft inside...depends how you like it. The coffee here is meh at best (the coffee at cafe du Monde is better).
Live Jazz before noon. This place screams French Quarter. Even better Beignets!!!
In the evening there was a lovely guitarist that played all the songs that seemed to be written with his instrument in mind. The coffee and beignets were good too.
A little crowded but line moved quick. I got a to go order in under 10 minutes. Staff was friendly and ready to serve.
Steamboat willys voice and teumoet are timeless. A true master.
Great little cafe. Best beignets in town for sure plus lots of other delicious items. We went by a couple of time to try different things and each time had a wonderful experience. Great place to take a quick break and enjoy a local favorite.
Wonderful food, music, and service! I will be back.
Old time New Orleans. Feels nice to be outside and eat sweet treats in the awesome street. Total tourist treat.
Very quaint cafe' with great food and friendly people. Walking distance from most anywhere around or in the French quarter.
Better beignets and much shorter lines than that big tourist olace.
First visit they lost my ticket order, and then gave me burnt beignets after I asked about it. Went back, totally redeemed themselves and were very helpful and friendly. Beignets were perfect!
Best beignets in New Orleans hands down. Absolutely delicious!
We didn't eat here, walked in & walked out. But looks like a nice place
Very cosy, and goooood music
The restaurant was very nice. I found out that beignets are just not my thing. I am sure their beignets are awesome as beignets go. I am just not a fan of fried dough with powdered sugar. I took a break from my whole foods plant based lifestyle so I could say I ate a beignet in New Orleans. Not worth it for me. On the bright side, the staff was awesome. The restaurant, while small, was quaint and the guitar player was amazing.
Great atmosphere and the food was good!
The beignets and coffee were great. We sat outside in the courtyard and enjoyed the French ambiance. There were a few guys playing horns out front which was a nice touch.
THE BEST BEIGNETS IN NEW ORLEANS
This was my first time here, so I wanted to try out the beignets. They were good, but so definitely expected more.
The beignets were huge and fresh. Had to wait a little while to get them but the passing parade and the man playing the guitar inside made it worthwhile. PS, the gps will tell you you’ve arrived once you hit the precinct, it’s right before the police station.
Inside the Musical Legends park. Great food ....busy place
The food was very good. Portions were small for the price. They have inside and outside tables. The outside was nice and quiet.
Delightful patio garden and stage. Area is covered, so the weather is hardly a consideration. Bar and cafe make it an easy choice for whatever mood you're in. Staff was friendly and food service was very quick. Only downside is the single stall bathroom can cause a line to form.
Adorable 1950s feel, live music, yummy beignets.
Music and food good. Table service good.
The staff was so friendly for our 3 am run, best time to go! No lines and of course delicious beignets. Who knew they are open 24/7.
It took over 40mins for me to receive my to go order of beignets they were crowded.....but other people got theirs and I ordered before them..... I understand that mistakes happen....I just don't appreciate not being offered and apology for the mistakes....after asking three times about my order..... Extra star for the beignets....they were good!!!....
Not impressed in the slightest. Nowhere clean to sit, expensive sandwiches that were mediocre compared to the other Po-Boys we enjoyed on our trip. I would not recommend stopping here.
The breakfast was overpriced and not good at all, way too greasy and small portions. The Service was unfriendly and unmotivated. Even when you are eating inside, erything is served in plastic - dishes, cutlery, coffee cups are plastic, even salt etc. are single packed... One star for the beignets and for the nice appearance of the cafe.
Great beignets and boozy cafe au lait! Liked their beignets better than Cafe du Monde.. great music outside on the patio!
Best beignets ever!!!!!! Worst worker ever! Krystal (not sure on spelling) rude, hateful, & disrespectful to customers and Co-workers!!!
Loved it, enjoyed the Jazz band and it is a lot less crowded and noisy if that is what you want in Bourbon Street
Super cute outdoor decorations and bomb beignets!
The coffee was very tasty and the beignets were fresh. Friendly staff and the place was clean as well. A very comfy little cafe that has live music. It definitely personifies a little corner of New Orleans.
Cafe beignet look like a French cafe inside and had beautiful outdoor courtyard seating under a very large magnolia tree. The muffalata and the scone I had was delicious. It was right next door to the French quarter police station
On Royal: Lovely fare, excellent coffee, but usually with a long line, tiny tables, and not enough of those tables for the number of people seeking that lovely fare. There is often a busking musician outside. The other branches of this establishment are larger, and, from what I've seen from outside, do not have the same issues with size of space which the Royal Street location has. Tasty. Quite a treat... but be prepared to stand in line. My rating should actually be 4.5.
Went there in the evening. There was a man playing tunes on his guitar which is very nice. Had cafe au lait and beignets. The cafe was not busy, which was nice. The beignets were very tasty. We had to clean our own table though but that was ok. Along Royal street there were many little antique shops too but most were close by the time we walked there which was close to 9pm.
Nice atmosphere though crowded. Attractive garden courtyard to have coffee and beignets.
What an amazing experience we had here. Live music set to beautiful surroundings. The food was beyond good and the coffee...I could have had 5 cups if I let myself. I don't think I will go back to New Orleans without coming back here. This place is a must.
Food was delicious and atmosphere was amazing. Minus the rain.
Visited here a few times on our trip to New Orleans. Lovely place, great cocktails.
This is an absolute must for any trip to Bourbon Street. Then outdoor cafe has beer service and you can order beignets and coffee from the Cafe Beignet stand inside. Free live music in the courtyard while you enjoy this classic New Orleans spot. One of the few kid-friendly stops on Bourbon Street.
This Place Was Awesome!! The Young Lady Who Served Us Was Very Nice & Polite. The Beignets Was Hot & Fresh. Tne Frozen Coffee Was Amazing. My Husband Does NOT Like Frozen Coffee. He Tried There's And LOVED It! We Bought Beignets To Go & The Mix To Make Back In IL. We're Going Back Tomorrow Before We Leave.
Music is loud, atmosphere is really nice with mostly outdoor seating. Food is good. They have soy milk as substitute for milk
Great beignets, best of several places we tried. Liked the interior of the shop. Lots of selections
Delicious beignets and live jazz...perfect New Orleans experience
Great outdoors setting with live bands freshly made beignets
Prices were average for bourbon street which is pretty high in general. Food was mediocre at best. To be fair I've never had authentic gumbo, red beans, and jambalaya. The music wasn't the greatest. 3 bottles of water were $9.
The beignets were great. Came out hot. Cofee and service were good as well.
This if the BEST Place!!! I love coming here for coffee and Beignets in the morning, it’s got the smallest lineups, but the best character ;-)
The beignets were good. The coffee was ok. The omelets sucked. No flavor, bread was cold. Not worth the wait in my opinion.
Adorable little place near the heart of the action. Street musician right outside, patrons wending their way in and out. Service was fast. Beignets were fluffy and okay. Could have used a chocolate drizzle.
Still the best beignets after 100 yrs. Fantastic service too...line moves fast.
My favourite place in New Orleans. It's a world away from Bourbon Street. Live jazz, friendly table service and beer on tap.
great food, okay service, very crowded
It was the best breakfast we had in the French Quarter and the best Beignet by far! It has a nice ambiance, good price, and I really liked the veggie omelet. If you go in the morning I would suggest you to GO EARLY. We arrived 8:30 and there was already a line, so THE WAITING TIME CAN BE LONG.
Food is ok, it is a mass produced place, very touristy... Beignets are great, rest is questionable...
Love the beignets! The live music here was awesome too!
So cute they had a guitar player playing in the restaurant . It's an out of the way beignet place I just ran into. They had all kinds of Cajun things to choose from as well. Smells were sweet and spicy.
We arrived with a large group, boy did staff not like that sight. As out of town visitors this was not a good star when met with sighs, we can deal with no credit cards and the historic open air no ac, but the lack of understanding when some of our party needed to look at the menu and asked about options is just not great business. Their product was great I hope it was just an off day for staff.
Recently stayed in New Orleans. Trying to review everything I did there. Darling place. Small, quaint, generally kind staff (for New Orleans). I personally think beignets are overrated, but they were good enough and definitely part of the New Orleans experience. Fun place to get some coffee and sit in their quaint seating.
Can’t go wrong with beignets. Chai was great, too and the live music is cool!
Wonderful! Very clean with a cute seating areas, inside and out. Staff is wonderful, as are the Beingets! A great stop for a early morning coffee or lunch.
The location and atmosphere were great, but the food left much to be desired. The jambalaya did not look appetizing and didn’t taste great either. We will return but will try something else.
Get in the line and enjoy the treats and atmosphere here. My first trip to New Orleans and it started and ended here with Beignets and clouds of powdered sugar. They also have a nice selection of sandwiches and other sweet treats.
Was recommended to go to this place by a friend. Also known for it's beignets because of Food Network's Alton Brown. Definitely my favourite beignets in the French Quarter. Cute little patio to enjoy breakfast on.
Great food, view, and music
Super slow service but the best biegnets in town.
Music is good. Food and drinks slightly high priced
Cafe Beignet! It is so lovely. The ambiance reminds me of a classic movie scene in Paris. There was a saxophone player, delicious drinks and the best beignet's I've ever tasted (very well priced too!). The staff were friendly and the wait time was pretty good considering how busy the restaurant was (line was long, but we didn't wait for more than 20 minutes for food).
Very friendly service and awesome spot to listen to live jazz bands while having a drink or eating beignets
Good prices and free live jazz, but the Beignets were a bit too doughy. Otherwise a nice place to sit in the evening.
Great place . With life music food and beignets. We had beers outside in the outdoor patio. Was so vibrant and fun. Unfortunately we didn’t have table service and after while drinking we didn’t care to get up and self service anymore. We still going back there twice in our trip. Lot of fun memories.
Publicita is better that food ir ser ice Goid coffe though
Food n staff are average so probably 3 is fair, but they have nice place and live music so lets give them 4. U can hang out there in heart of bourbon st, have some food n drink and take a rest to boost rest of day. Chairs is not that much comfortable for long seat !!!
The Beignets at this place were reasonably priced but they did not taste authentic. Not bad, but I'm not sure if I would return.
A quaint place with a variety of baked goods. Of course, I had the beignet - they make them fresh to order. It was fluffy and chewy and not too sweet. It wasn't greasy either! I'm personally not the biggest fan of beignets but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate it. You definitely have to try it if you're in NOLA just to say you did!
Great music and quant local atmosphere for such a small place.
Experience was cool. My family had a good time as well. Next time I do it it will not be in the French Quarter. Really just too crowded down there to go for this, but if already down in there it's a good go to
They have the BEST beignets. THEY are light and fluffy. The shop is very cute. The food itself is amazing as well. It is much more quaint than the overly bustling Cafe Du Monde. That made me love it even more. I ordered the Roast Beef Po'Boy and it was AMAZING! My husband got the gumbo which was just as wonderful. Definitely worth a try.
Wonderful southern breakfast and sweet tea..and just like Alton Brown said..The best beignets anywhere.
I didn't get to try their beignets but their coffee was fantastic, the best I've had in the city so far. In the afternoon they had live jazz on the back patio which was beautiful and the musicians were excellent. I would definitely go back.
Nice spot for local coffee/breakfast... Better than others
The Beignets were excellent! The service was friendly and efficient, wonderful location! We totally enjoyed ourselves and the food!
Love the live jazz and outdoor seating/courtyard. Bartender was great.
The best royal croissant ive had in a while
Loved this place! Small but cute, it was a much calmer environment than the other beignet shops we visited, and a short walk from Chateau LeMoyne
Not impressed.. the wait was too long for not so great food
I lot of hype, but the coffee was great!
A local shop owner recommended this for the best beignets in NOLA and they were really good!
Always packed but line moves quickly.
Love this place. Staff are great. Food tastes great. This is small location on Royal st. It feels more homey than the other 2 locations.
Good beignets and live jazz in the morning.
The iced latte was ok, it was clean but the cashier was kinda rude... the music was lovely. I'd come back for the music definitely.
Delicious French dessert/dinner/after dinner/before dinner treat!
We had just finished dinner and were walking back to our hotel when we heard someone singing and playing a saxophone. It drew all of us over and we sat down to listen. The staff were totally cool, and I ordered quite a bit for my large crew and they delivered flawlessly. The beignet's were tasty, and the coffee was great! Love this little Cafe, it reminds me of France, and the atmosphere was very nice and inviting. We will swing by again, with it being so close to everything. Thanks!
The po boy was horrible, not worth the money. The beignet was over cooked but i made it work.
Great breakfast food, especially the Beignets! Must go early because it is a constant flow of people coming in. We went twice during our stay. Small location but has a nice outdoor courtyard with someone singing.
It was good . Nothing to write home about . Just a huge fat funnel cake.
Was amazing! Plus had a ton of other food options and great flavored coffee!!
Love this place! The location on Bourbon street specifically because we went to another location and didn't have the same experience. Drinks were great! Went there 2 times over the few days in town. Food is good although we went back tor the music and drinks. The live music just moved my soul. Great ambiance, great service, great band each time. The singer was the same but the rest of the band members changed. Music was still good. Bathrooms not very clean but everything else was great!
This was extraordinary, the music, ambiance, food especially the beignet with coffee for dessert
Great food... the line was long but moved fast. Business is small, with limited seating....
Quiet little cafe with a large patio space which is right next to the police precinct. Beignets are one of the items they sell. There are omelettes and other baked goods available. Take a number and they will bring your purchased items to you.
There in June pretty hot as seating is outside with about half in the shade. Jazz trio and great vibes with the great food.
Classic New Orleans style food and entertainment. The Jambalaya was terrific. The music was good. Just an overall good place. The prices were a little high and the line to order your food took a bit but well worth the wait.
Go right here if you want a beignet in a decent atmosphere. This little place doesn't seem to fit, but in the end it does. Cocktails are available at the bar right next to the cafe.
Great breakfast with live music in a court yard.
Went for breakfast -Mediocre. Looks good, but food just OK. Tables sticky, service a little slow. May be better for lunch or dinner.
Tasty beignets, great iced tea, good price, cute space, garden seating, friendly cats.
Worth the line and it moves very quickly. I grab them to go so as not to hunt for a table. Buy two orders of the beignets. They're even great cold.
Best Beignets I had while in NOLA.
The beignet was good but there was a roach in the restaurant so that was a major turn off. Other than the roach hovering over the muffins, it was nice. There was a guy playing music on his sax and he was really talented. The bathroom smelled bad too actually. But that BEIGNET tho.. so good.
For the area the price is great. The food isn’t terrible, but I could cook it at home in 5 minutes. The portions were small for it being a “Southern Breakfast”. The servers were very nice and attentive they get all the stars. If you want authentic food I would suggest try a more local spot. If you want to get something affordable in the area, their beignets are awesome!
The beignet’s were great. Not an enormous amount of powdered sugar and the beignets came out super hot! Iced mocha wasn’t too sweet. Relaxing atmosphere. Friendly staff. Really enjoyed our experience here!!
The Jumbalaya was amazing and the music was even better. If you want a calmer spot where you can appreciate good music, this is where you go.
Good live music while enjoying coffee and beignets
Great food, lovely service
Great alternative to the better known beignet spots in the city. I thought the beignet was actually better, got a free coffee with a voucher from the hotel (which was really good), and no shoe shine scammers which was nice. This place also sells other food items which looked good, and take credit cards.
Nice little cafe with a limited menu but tremendously delicious breakfast. We absolutely will recommend to our friends! Thank you to the staff at Cafe Beignets
The beignets were great. The coffee ( cafe mocha) was equivalent to hotel coffee with hot chocolate mix. Nothing special. I ordered the Crawfish omelet and my wife ordered the veggie omelet. We both felt like they were okay. Again nothing special. The staff didn't seem to have a handle on who ordered what and looked lost most of the time. Yelling out " who ordered ..?" The place felt cozy. But the line runs through the middle of where everyone sits (unless outside). Which can make for a cramped eating experience. If they rerouted the line to one side that might help the over all congestion. One last thing. The air vent that's over there counter area where they put your coffee and have food displayed leaks and is pretty filthy. I would definitely stop in for a beignet to go. But nothing more.
I couldn’t taste the chicory in the plain coffee, so I recommend trying another place for this specific item. Excellent service. (February 2019)
This was the second place we went to taste beignets and my daughter and I were so pleased. The beignets were we excellent. Even after tasting beignets in three more locations, these are our favorites! The service was great, the coffee was dark and satisfying, and the beignets were the very best. Tops on my list!
Delicious and we went on a Thursday night
This place isn't all its cracked up to! No flavor at all! Not worth my time!
Good food! Liked the music at night and looking out into the street as we ate.
This is the place you cannot miss when in New Orleans. Watch these beautiful pastries being made right in front of you. Smell the aroma, taste the flavor compliment with a fine cup of coffee and how better could you ever start your day!
This was pretty good! The lemonade was gross but the beignets we're good and the crossiant was delicious! It was really crowded!
Visited the original location as well as the one on Bourbon Street. Really good breakfast and we actually liked the beignets from here better than the ones from Cafe DuMonde....
We went for Beignet hopping in NoLa but this is the best place so far. Plus their Bourbon location saved us from starving as all the resto that we went to grab dinner was packed or have waiting to be seated time of 20 to 30 mins.
All the employees were stoned af and slow. Place was disgusting. It was more expensive than cafe du monde, but not as good. There was live music though and the area was neat.
Love the food. Small plates.
Had beignet! Good but if are diabetic, watch your sugar.
Another rare place in New Orleans that got our repeat business. Love the food, and there's live music often. For my money, the Beignets are just as good, if not better, then the famed Cafe Du Monde. It really was a great example of the New Orleans experience, and I'll be going back next time I'm there.
Live Jazz!! We had a wonderful time here, we ate shrimp platters & beignets. It was our first stop, very relaxing.
Don't get me wrong, very cool place and the staff was friendly. But, it took 50 minutes for us to get two omelettes and we had to ask -three- times. The cook told me "The mushroom omelette takes a while". Again, 50 minutes for two omelettes. There were multiple groups of people that ordered their food, ate, and left *well* after we sat down and ordered.
Delicious our visit to NOLA and my first stop have heard about all my life. Wonderful
If you find yourself in the French Quarter and wanting to try the world famous Beignet, then you must come here. A cool spot cafe in the middle of all the people-watching action. Lots of drinks and other dessert options are there. My only regret is that we got there before they were closing and just enough time to grab the tasty bag of Beignet - but that just gives me another reason to visit for the next time. A must go spot.
Some of the best food I've ever had. Nice moves, Ethan. Keep up the good work!
Order at the counter seat yourself and stick to what they are known for..Beignet taste oh so good!!!
Their beignet's are literally amazing - don't waste your time anywhere else
This is my go to place for coffee and beignets every time I come to Nola. The place is quaint and homey though it does sometimes get a bit tight but it's a great place to it back and people watch while sipping your excellent coffee. Beignets come out hot and ready to eat like little squares of doughy goodness. Soft and pillowy definitely taste better than the ones at Cafe du monde and you don't have to put up with a ridiculous line for subpar product. It's a gem and treat every time we come for visit.
I could give this place a 5 if o did not have to wait for in the queue for 20 minuets or did not have to wait in the queue for the only restroom for more than 20 minuets. That being said, it had a good vibe and I had good coffee and beignet there with my friends and girlfriend. I just do not see what makes this place special and different!
Amazing location! Delicious deserts! Super child friendly. Customer service was amazing and super accommodating! Did I mention live jazz! Make sure to hit this amazing local spot on bourbon st next time you visit NOLA!
The lines are shorter than several other beignet shops with arguably comparable beignets. The other food was unimpressive, especially for the tourist-marked up prices. But the courtyard is nice, especially with live jazz. So maybe just go for the fried dough and atmosphere
Beautiful place to chill and step out of the chaos of the French Quarter for a few. Bloody Mary's were delicious and the Beignets were to die for! We loved it!
All I can say is: don't wear black. You'll get white sugar all over yourself. Haha. Delicious.
I really like it here. The scene is just right, the beignets are fantastic as are their hash browns. Cool place to bring your out of town friends
A splendid treat is to be had in this little cafe situated in the French corridor. The atmosphere/ambience is every bit New Orleans. Only draw back would be the actual beignets themselves left me desiring a little something more. They reminded me of a zepoli from a carnival.
Tasty sandwich, great red beans and rice. Best beignet in New Orleans. Lively atmosphere.
This cafe has a wonder breakfast. We were staying at a local hotel and decided to walk down to this cafe. We had Cajun hash browns and beignets and they were wonderful! The atmosphere was made perfect when a few jazz musicians started playing. It was great. Make a stop here.
Yummy beignets and great live music
People say Cafe Du Monde has the better beignets but the atmosphere and flavor were all around better here. Avoid the crowds and hit up one of their locations instead. You won't be disappointed.
The line was long but they moved pretty quickly. About a 15 minute wait to order and then maybe another 9 before I got my three orders of beignets. Which were delicious!
Just a couple doors down from our hotel we were glad to walk in the morning and get a hot beignet and coffee here. We loved the statues that greet you at the entrance and the overall jazz feel. This is truly a part of the NOLA experience.
Amazing beignets got an order of 3 for a good price. One was large and a bit raw still inside. Replaced with a whole new fresh order!
Classic, if you love croissants and coffee do not skip this place. Casual eating.. just walk up, order, and grab a table. No wait, no worries.
Best beignets! Hands down over cafe du monde. Bigger and fresher too!!
Excellent food and service with a nice atmosphere.
I had the cabin hashbrowns. They were really good as were the included scrabbled eggs. I got an order of beignets. I wish you could order just one, but I have the others to colleagues later. (They were really good as well, but I didn't need to eat three of them.) It would be nice if you could get just one. Overall I was most happy with the service.
Absolutely love this place. The food is great and the beignet is amazing. Their beignet is much better compare to Cafe Du Mont. The place is casuall but charming for a delicious breakfast/ lunch , and the price is very reasonable. Absolutely we will be back here
I just loved cafe beignets!
Good Beignet but.... I got a sandwich with French bread and it was hard as rock. I made the best of it and through the rest out
Their beignets and coffee is amazing!
I wasnt a fan of the beignets, but the location and the atmosphere is pretty cool
Tourist trap for fried dough with lots of sugar. No air conditioning. Everything is sticky. Quick service. Cash only.
Great place. Can see jazz performances during the daytime. Love their beignet.
Outstanding local cafe that offers an outstanding breakfast at a reasonable price. I personally think they’re Beignets are the best in New Orleans.
Inexpensive drinks, decent food, good music. Worth a midday visit
Cute space, friendly enough staff but obviously running on fumes. Food came rather fast considering the long line! Coffee was decent but definitely not craft.
Cute local spot for beignets. It was a bit crammed but good little spot. Super cute.
I ordered beignets and a blended cafe au lait. They paired together phenomenally! The two cashiers I encountered there were very polite and informative. Be sure to grab plenty of napkins, those beignets were bathing in powered sugar, as to be expected. Let's just say the powered all over my dress and face were beyond worth it! I enjoyed this location multiple times on my trip. Iced cappuccinos, cafe au laits, and beignets were the go-to for me. And they serve breakfast all day!
Loved the atmosphere and the coffee and beignets were excellent. MAKE IT A STOP WHEN YOU VISIT NOLA
Busy but a great place for a quick bite
LOVE those beignets!! The servers and afternoon manager were very hospitable. Maybe you can open a store in Atlanta, Ga!!
I went there in the evening and only had some margaritas and listened to music. The music was chill and I did enjoy the show. The margaritas were pretty sweet. We thought we were drinking sugar water; couldn't taste the alcohol.
41 minutes to get an order of powdered fried dough and im not even talking about the wait in line im talking about 45 minutes waiting after i paid. What a waste of time, i wish i could punch whoever told me to come here.
The jazz band that was there was absolutely amazing. A breath of fresh air compared to all the chaos on the rest of the street. Had the red beans and those were also delicious.
I got tasty beignets and coffee there. Nice little store with some seats and the waiter and waitresses were really nice and fast in their job.
This is on a great corner of the area. It's open to the outside and is a great place for a quick bite. A player piano entertains during the day and there is live music at night. Order at the counter.
Excellent food. Good coffee...
When you think of New Orleans and beignets, lots of folks will recommend Cafe du Monde, but for me and mine, we say that Cafe Beignet is the place to go. The portion sizes are huge and the service is fast, even if they're usually busy. Delicious, and a good value for your money.
Excellent Excellent Excellent place to eat and listen to live music!! Food very very good!!
Music was great. The beignet were superb
Even better than Café du Monde... Seriously! Café Beignet makes their beignets to order so they come to you hot, delicious and creamy. They're not just sitting under a heat lamp getting soggy. Coffee is also delicious!
They take credit card! I’d been to cafe du monde ages ago and forgot it was a cash only spot. I made the trek over to Cafe Beignet and we just ordered some water and a set of 3 beignets. Very light and fluffy with a crispy exterior, not too doughy or mushy. Pretty much the perfect beignet.
Me and my friends were just here. I told my friend I was gonna use the bathroom and then we would order a drink after. As I reached the restroom, a staff stopped me from using it and said “there is a public bathroom upstairs”. And I told her “I’m getting a drink here” and then she repeated 4 times that there is a public bathroom upstairs and stopped me from using the bathroom. Then I asked her if I’m getting a drink I will be able to use the bathroom. She rolled her eyes up and just left me without talking to me. I found this extremely rude and we just left. I was gonna sit down and get a drink but without even asking your staff treated me with tremendous rudeness. It reflects poorly on the cafe and it’s definitely not a place I would recommend anyone to go to to be treated this way.
The best beignet you can get. Delicious. Nice place, clean and busy. Need to go there before 9 am
Amazing ambiance. Outdoors seating, live music. Very good food.
The atmosphere was really cool and of course the beignets were great!
Very good prices and beignets. Lines moves very fast.
Small size compare to other location but has a courtyard! It is very nice and beautiful. Also this location offers a lot more pastry items.
Well everyone should eat Beignets here to learn how great Cafe du Monde is.
Beignets we're tasty and crisp, but one of our dozen came up doughy in the middle. Sandwiches were good, but not the best in the quarter. Rating four stars for a good selection of quality eats. A true Jack of all trades. There's a fair variety of stuff on the menu here. The live music adds to the experience.
I loved the outdoor atmosphere and live music as we waited for our to-go order. The beignets were hot and delicious.
I loved it and the service was great
Great sandwiches, amazing beignets, awesome desserts, and a nice assortment of coffee beverages. I honestly think these may be the best beignets we have had. Thanks to the helpful employees as well!
They we're great.
Love the beignets here! Every time I come to New Orleans this place is a must. The coffee is pretty good too!
As expected, the beignets were terrific, made even more enjoyable by the outdoor seating and live jazz music on a Sunday morning
Biegnet all the things! Loved the iced coffee au laut!
Absolutely brilliant live music washed down with a nice pint bud light.
Nice place to come a grab a coffee (iced if it's as hot as when we went!) and listen to some jazz on the patio whilst tucking into some beignets.
Simply incredible! Nothing more needs to be said...
Sit down and enjoy jazz with some good food and drink. Nice and relaxing.
Cute cafe with relaxing live music, food was good too.
The food was probably the best from here than anywhere else in my whole trip. It's a cute little shop and their coffee is so smooth. Their Beignets are the best in New Orleans.
It was a great place to get a little bit more than just Beignets and coffee. They accommodated us with getting just a side of bacon. And the patio they have outside is lovely place to sit in the morning.
Cafe Beignet was great but I would have to admit that Du Mondes had the superior beignets. Both were amazing though. You won't be sorry if you try either!
Always fun to visit. Food and coffee is good. Normally they have a live band playing jazz. It can get pretty busy and no seats available. But it’s fun just to stand at the gate and watch the show.
Best beignets in New Orleans unlike the other tourist packed location just a couple blocks away with that being said the coffee is also top notch. Once I found this hidden gem it was the best way to start the day with delicious coffee and beignets.
This place is alright. They charge about 4$ for 3 beignets when you can go to Cafe du Monde and get the same number for about 3$. On top of that, the beignets and cafe au lait aren't as good.
Been here a couple of times now. The food is ok, but the spot is awesome. Cajun Bloody Mary is great if you're into that and you can come here for breakfast or dinner! Great spot, good drinks and ok food
