I'm not a huge coffee person but everyone seems to love their coffee. Unfortunately their tea selection is pretty basic. Food wise, everything I've tried has been solid. Not the best ever by certainly not the worst, but I imagine the food isn't the main draw. If you like coffee, give it a go!

Spencer's is more than coffee. It's the very best soups, interesting sandwiches you can't find anywhere else, lots of bacon, and an array of pastries that are reliably tasty. Oh, and beer. The best beers! But obviously it's a coffeehouse, so the coffee better be good. And it is. In addition to the great products they offer, they offer two things that are extremely valuable to our community: (1) a place to meet, discuss, study, see and be seen, feel grounded and surrounded by community, and (2) the very best staff, who treat people well, believe in what they're selling, and make the place warm. Go to Spencer's. Smile. Introduce yourself. Find a place that will give you great coffee and a second home if you need it.

This rating is really from my wife. I don't even like coffee. She really likes the coffee they serve. It's better than Starbucks any day, according to her. They also offer some cookies and other small food options. It's a college kid atmosphere. We usually just get a drink and go. My wife has purchased some of their coffee to make at home as well. It's the best coffee place in Bowling Green, according to her.

Great atmosphere and great coffee. Each time I've gone the coffee has been spot on. I don't add cream or sugar, just drink it straight brewed. They are doing something good with their coffee here. I've tried a different blend each time and have not been disappointed. Staff is great and know what they're doing. Love the tables by the way. The rustic nail company did great job on those for you guys. The chocolate chip cookie was awesome too. I usually go later in the evning while out on date nights so I don't know how busy it gets during the day but at night it is the perfect level of busy for me. Some people hanging out and others come in and go just as quick. I'll keep coming back for more coffee and for sure chocolate chip cookies. Going to have to try the other goods too. Thanks for the awesome coffee yallz!

Really cool vibe right off the town square, some great artwork on the walls. I got a pour over and it was okay. My daughter got a Matcha latte and it came out really sea-weedy which means either low quality tea or it was steeped too hot. Either way, it was a waste of $3.50. If I go back I think I will be a little more particular about what I order. Cashier spoke really highly of their porch blend, but it always makes me a bit suspicious when a pot coffee blend is recommended over a single origin/single cup.

I ran in to grab just coffee when coming through town for the Corvette museum. I'm a bit of a coffee snow, originally from San Francisco but like their light roast so much, when I got back to Texas I ordered three bags of Spencer's beans for home. The place inside was nice, maybe a bit hipster, but would totally hit this place up again if I'm in town.

This place is a wonderful place to go if you need to sit somewhere for a few hours. My husband and I go twice a week after church while we wait for work to start (we work 3rd shift) and the staff are always so wonderful and pleasant. I wish I had caught the name of the waitress there who was absolutely kind and considerate with all of my requests. I definitely suggest it and will continue to go there in the future!

I could write a book of good stories and experiences I've had at Spencer's, but I'll just name a quick few. First, the lattes are great, hot or iced. I get a Cafe Mocha, extra pump with oat milk. Anyway, their pastries, muffins, granola bars, and avocado toast are amazing. They offer popsicles from PopWorks. They also support local artists by selling their wares. I've also spent several a relaxing summer evening with friends during a Beergarden on their back patio.

Such a nice coffee shop! Friendly, inviting and clean atmosphere - with yummy treats & drinks. The dirty iced chia is my favorite but in the picture bellow I tried something a little different. However the best part is that the shop lets you opt into utilizing one of their mug OR bring your own!! Helping our planet out a little bit by reducing single use plastic one cup (or mug) at a time!!

Awesome coffee shop! They offer other menu items, as well, although I've never gotten anything but a warm beverage here. It's generally a little noisy but still a good work environment with free internet. Booth, table and high top seating options. Areas available to charge. Friendly staff. Good place to meet up casually in smaller or larger groups. Small but clean bathrooms. Great location. They have foam art competitions, so that's awesome!

First time eating any kind of avocado toast and now I'm spoiled!! Tried something similar in Nashville the other day, it was not good! Highly recommend it. Still trying to find coffee I like, everything I've tried has been way too sweet. Apple turnover was not as great as I wanted it to be, but in general it's a great downtown, local business and college town vibe. I'll be trying more of the food to see what else is as good as that toast!

Better than average coffee and pretty good sandwiches. Prices are somewhat steep for the food in regards to portion, but not by enough to make me second guess my purchase. I think the coffee may be brewed hotter than it really needs to be which required me to wait for an extended period of time for me to be able to drink it without burning my mouth. You could always add some cool/cold milk to it, but if you like it black, make sure you have ample time to allow it to cool.

Neighborhood coffee bar with a limited offering of food. Great place for small group meetings or a place to hang downtown. Decaf made to order. A variety of flavored syrups. They've expanded to an adjoining space because this site is so well received. Streetside and around the fountain parking can be tight at times.

I love this place. I go every morning within the first hour they open and order the same thing and I am never disappointed. The quality is amazing, the people are so friendly, and the ambiance is the best in town. It does get quite busy with a college crowd but it's a great place to go and enjoy the beauty that is downtown Bowling Green. Spencer's Coffee House is the best in the city.

Very cozy little place in a historic building on the old City square. Small but excellent food menu with very good coffees and beverages. Plenty of seating with charging options for portable devices and strong WiFi. It can get loud but still a studious atmosphere with comfy outdoor seating when weather permits.

The staff , coffee, and atmosphere are definitly top tier . I travel the country for work and am an avocado toast aficionado. The avo toast at Spencer’s is bar none the best I’ve experienced . This trip they put pears on it, I couldn’t have been more surprised and delighted. So if you down for good eats, great coffee, fantastic staff and an overall great experience , this is the place!

Spencer's is amazing. Located in the heart of downtown BG. This place is wonderful for everyone local and not. The coffee is yummy as well as the food. You can grab a savory dish or a sweet treat. It is a great place to study, work, go on a date, hangout with friend, just about anything. The staff is always friendly and sure does know how to make delicious coffee. Spencer's also supports local businesses like popworks to name one. They also just added a new little space to their already amazing coffee shop which offers more seating. Spencer's keep it up y'all are great!!

The staff is absolutely incredible. The coffee is seriously better than anywhere else around. However, it will be wonderful when they catch up with the exponentially growing cruelty free consciousness and start offering more vegan options on their menu. There are next to none right now.

Excellent pasta salad (spiral noodles, feta cheese, and creamy dressing). Sometimes there's too many large chunks of pepper, but they're easy to pick out. Employees are not only knowledgeable, but quick to help you with any questions. Occasionally there's no tables free inside so be prepared to sit outside or order to-go.

I of course went to a coffee shop to get hot chocolate, but was delicious! Unlike Starbucks it didn't have the taste of coffee. I went during fall, so the square had lights up and it was beautiful. Great Location! I would definitely go again! Try Spencer's!!

Located in the downtown district directly on the square this once hidden jewel of Bowling Green is now the crown jewel. Adored by locals and visitors alike its diverse customer base is always welcomed by a friendly staff into an amazing atmosphere. The menu, which seems simple, is taken to a level of deliciousness most bistros and larger restaurants would envy. Your tongue will beat your brains out. And then there's the coffee prepared by the talented baristas. You'll never want to visit the big Seattle- based chain again!

Great food-great coffee--- but unfortunately you can't find a table to sit down to eat it! All the tables are taken up by single people nursing their single drink- and working on their laptops. I saw lots of customers lining up and then leave because it was obvious no one was going to be vacating their tables anytime soon. Hopefully Spencer's will realize that that $3 drink sale that ties up a table for hours on end--may be costing them the $35 lunch sales. I know I won't be recommending for anything except carry out.
