I wondered if the Butter Coffee was similar to a bulletproof coffee drink I tried in Chicago that claims to "boost energy and cognitive function," with a $9 price tag. Using that as my baseline, the Butter Coffee was creamy, not too buttery, and muuuch more affordable at $2.50 for a small 8oz. For those who love cream and use half & half for their coffee, this drink is yours to try.

Amazing quality donuts! Dense, spongy, large, and flavorful. The price was higher than I would normally be comfortable paying for donuts (especially for the specialty ones), but after tasting them I realized the quality is well worth it.

North Lime is a cute, little coffee shop in Old Louisville. Along with coffee, the shop specialises in doughnuts and they are absolutely fantastic. Specials change daily, and after a few months of visiting, I've not had a doughnut that isn't great. As for the coffee, it's always fantastic. All of the staples are there, along with seasonal specials. Serve fantastic teas as well. All-in-all, the shop is just great and cosy. Highly recommend!

Best doughnuts in Louisville. And their cafe au lait is to die for. I had tried the doughnuts at the writing conference Writer's Block last year and fell in love. The design of the building is really cool, makes it seem like I'm in a factory. The food options are so flexible also, I love it! Vegan doughnut? Yes, please. New favorite spot in town.

The Good: —Donuts are sizable and not terribly priced for what they are. —It’s obvious there is carefulness and creativity put into making the donuts. —Nice visuals, if a tad overly hipster The Bad: —Honestly the donuts are just not good. They’re super chewy, sweet but not all that flavorful, and very oily. —Service was unbearably slow, and none of the employees were smiling. It took at least 10 minutes for the cashier to go through 3 people in front of me making simple donut orders. In that time I just stood there and watched workers go about their business lackadaisically with blank stares. Other: —Coffee is from Good Folks. Overall not a great experience and I probably won’t be back.

My boyfriend and I were just stopping by after leaving Nashville headed to New York, we stopped by because of the great reviews and we were pleasantly surprised. I loved the industrial rustic feel and the coffee and donuts were the best we have ever had! We were both shocked on how great the prices were. We would have paid 6$ in Nashville for a donut like that! Had great customer service and made me feel right at home! Definitely coming back in future trips!

I was wondering about the specialty donuts and the coffee when it was "highly recommended" and I would have to admit I really enjoyed the Peanut Butter Cookie Donut. The crunch and flavor was an awesome pick me up, along with my Carmel White Mocca Latte. I will be back and plan to tell others.

We loved North Lime Coffee & Donuts. We had the cinna-monkey, the plain glazed and the chocolate iced. The cinna-monkey is something completely unique I haven't had in my visits to different donut shops around the US. Their plain glazed was nicely done, lightly crispy on the outside with that 'sponge' cake inside that isn't overly dense. And a great price - where some shops are getting to be a bit too pricey at just over a $1 a donut its a great value. We also had the chai tea - regular spice - which I think might have been the most memorable, strangely. It was outstanding, I was thinking about it all day - thick and creamy, almost the consistency of Hot Chocolate. We really liked the atmosphere as well, a really unique building that used to be a boiler room? with really high ceilings. Interesting geographic location, didn't seem to be by much else but being from Indy we aren't really that familiar with the area. I had seen the photos and read the reviews and had this on my list of places to try but in the last two years never was able to fit it into the trip. Really happy we made it a priority this week.

My wife and I had North Lime Coffee and Donuts cater our wedding for our reception, and they did the most amazing job. The donuts tasted so good and looked awesome on our donut tower display. If you can imagine a flavor of donut, they can make it for your special order. We are still eating donuts the next day, and we can't get over how good they are. Kayla at North Lime has exceptional customer service and was a delight to work with. We would definitely recommend anyone and everyone to either visit North Lime to check it out, or choose them to cater your event.

Made our second trip in as many weeks to this shop today. The staff is friendly and the doughnuts are very delicious both times. Have yet to try the coffee but it smells heavenly. The space is still quite busy so wouldn't recommend (yet) if you want a quiet place to sit with your coffee. There is a nice outdoor seating area though that should be perfect in a few weeks. Very happy to see this great new place in Old Louisville!

Customer service was ok. I'm vegan so I purchased two vegan donuts. They were overpriced and oily, taste was just ok. Coffee was nothing for me to get excited about. Went home and made my own to go with my donuts. Overall I wasn't that impressed. This was my first time trying vegan donuts and I hope I can find another place to restore my faith in a tasty vegan donut.

This was our second visit, and just as good (or better) than our first. We got a glazed donut and a filled donut. We also got a plain coffee and a crisa. Everything was delicious. The donuts we got were yeast, but I think they have cake style as well. The place is clean and inviting.

BEST DONUTS EVER. They are pretty big and dense, so watch how many you get. I always get at least one original glazed and then the donut of the month when I go. There is tons of seating, and the menu is pretty extensive. I first had these donuts in Lexington, and when I found out they opened a location in the Ville, I flipped.

Really cool place. Good for work or studying. I've seen several families come here for breakfast and lots of couples come here for a morning breakfast date. They have limited hours though so make sure you know their hours. Their donuts are really good but I think mine was a little bit dry this time.

This is my favorite donut shop in the area. Their donuts are delicious, the staff is nice, and the chai tea latte is always good. I always get the glazed, which is thick and square, and usually one of the daily or monthly donuts. The strawberry jelly filled was great. Today I got the Ana Banana and it was delightful.

Lots of options for caffeinated beverages. Everything I've tried has been good. There is a variety of types of donuts that varies by day. All that I've tried have tasty. Service is friendly and efficient. There are tables and chairs on the first floor, the smaller second floor and outside. Now, if you want a cookie, muffin, scone, etc., they don't have those, just donuts. But they are good donuts, including cake types.

This is place was rlly good, I got the funkfetti donut with the White Tea Latte. The latte wasn’t my favorite at first, but I added some honey and sugar and that improved the flavor. The donut was perfect, the flavor was delicious and the frosting was chocolatey. I would definitely come back. Staff was very friendly and helped us figure out what to order.

Very good use of old factory space. Has a historic feel to it, and adds to coffeehouse vibe. Friendly staff. Overall comparable with Quills, or any Highlands shop. Cool place! My only disappointment was donuts were a lil hard and dry. Also you have to ask for the wifi password. Which in a coffeeshop is the equivalent of locked bathrooms at White Castle.

My friend had brought me products from the establishment previously, but this was my first trip into the store. The inside was very clean and welcoming. The service was great and I had zero questions or complaints. My friend and I sat outside for a long while and had a great time with no issues. Good coffee or bad donuts? That's usually the given choice around town. Not at North Lime Coffee and Donuts! They do both amazingly well. The coffee and espresso drinks are choice and the donuts are filling and delicious with that scratch-made touch. Edit: The Wi-fi issue has been resolved from what I can tell. Their hours mostly on the weekend could still stand to be longer but overall a great place and will now switch my review to 5 stars. Great place, great staff, great coffee, great donuts, and convenient location and parking. The only things keeping me from giving this place a 5-star review is that the locations hours are very limited compared to competitors especially on the weekend and that the WiFi is unreliable. If any of these things change I will edit my review to reflect that.

They have the "cake-iest" gluten free donut I've been able to find! Most gluten free fried donuts are super dense. Theirs aren't. They offer a new one every Thursday! The girl that helped me was so nice! I'll definitely be back another Thursday!
