Love this cottage type atmosphere that takes you back in time with classic swing music playing in the background. It reminds you of your grandparents generation with Grandma type cooking Southern Style (e.g. Kentucky Hot Browns and Quiche are a must try.) Don't forget the dozen or more homemade high meringue pies to choose from for dessert. Take a break from the norm. It is Heavenly.

Feels really cozy, especially in a booth with a little lamp on each table. Have been here several times, really great at night. A decent selection of items. Really enjoyed the meatloaf and the green beans. They bring bread before your meal, and the desserts seem like they're homemade (?) Great selection of desserts as well. One of nicest places in Versailles to have dinner.

Food is ok, Service is ok. Not much room inside dinning area. The tables and chairs they have are all crammed in the room! Bathrooms are decent. I would recommend to eat here if you don't mind close quarters with other tables and chairs! When I eat here I always get it take out only!! Menu is a little on the pricy side. With the lack of room and price of menu I give 3 stars!

It has has limited seating but it is a wonderful place to eat. I had the chicken salad and fruit plate. It was fresh and more than I could eat. Pie was good too. My waitress was friendly and was always there when you need here. I would definitely recommend.

I called on a Friday to ask hours for Saturday as I was bringing a group of people to lunch at this Cafe. They confirmed their hours over the phone but when we arrived (during business hours according to what was posted and also what the person on the phone had said) the Cafe was closed. The "open" sign was off, it was dark and the door was locked. I think either the place has recently went out of business or they are in the habit of closing up for no good reason when they have customers coming into town. We rode almost three hours to dine there and ended up at Ricardo's Grill and Pub. Try there if you are ever in Versailles.

Great quaint a cozy place with super friendly service. I ordered the pot roast with mashed potatoes and broccoli casserole which all came out quickly. Along with the dinner rolls, it left me very full but the intrigue to try the peanut butter pie I just couldn't resist. I ordered it and ate about half and brought the rest back to the hotel for later.

This is a lovely little downtown place with a pretty diverse menu and friendly service. Everyone makes their hot brown a little different I really like this one, the cheese is not over done and it was served with fresh fruit and a salad. All the food was perfectly prepared and fresh.

This quaint cafe is everything a small town Southern restaurant should be. The food was excellent, with generous portions and a great selection. The wait staff was attentive, and the husband and wife owners both introduced themselves to us during our single visit. Even though we were full from our dinner, we couldn't resist the most extensive dessert selection we've ever seen. The mocha crumb cake is fabulous, though you may want to split it with a friend because it's rich. But it's SO GOOD.

Three words: Out. Stan. Ding. Practically perfect in every way conceivable. And that's saying a lot. The atmosphere is gentle country 1960's with rat pack music. Intimate with limited seating. Fast, friendly service with very reasonable prices delivers some of the best traditional American luncheon fare I've ever had. Fresh ingredients, hot upon delivery make for a close- to- perfect dining experience. Don't miss the potato chips. More like, "chips of potato..." I'll never pass through here again without stopping in.

Went with great expectations...crushed however. Service was almost nonexistent. My club was below par with fatty undercooked bacon and bland cheese plus gamey bird meat. My fiance had open roast beef that looked like it had been sitting out in hot sun for a day or two. Really horrible meal...shameful to treat food in such a way!

Fantastic little cafe! Nothing fancy, just good cooking and Southern charm. Service is prompt, food is delicious, atmosphere is welcoming. You can tell the place is well liked because they are packed in a Monday night! But even then we didn't have to wait but five minutes for a table. Definitely recommend!

Just happened to be in Versailles and decided to try a new restaurant which is now my new favorite! Our dinner was fantastic including the most delicious catfish I have ever had. The staff was so inviting from the minute we walked in and our waitress Ashley was so sweet and fun she made us feel right at home and offered great menu suggestions. The menu truly has something for everyone and everything we had tasted like your favorite aunt was cooking your grandma's recipes. The best of homestyle comfort food! It was a staff member's birthday and Earl was presented with a cake and singing in the dining room. Each of the diners was offered a piece of his delicious homemade birthday cake as a part of the celebration! It was truly the icing on the cake and a delightful way to end a wonderful dining experience! Thank you for a great evening! Can't wait to go back and bring friends to Melissa's!

There are times when I just miss my mom and her cooking. I now know where to go during those times. So close to being hers. This was amazing. My sister had the special which was spaghetti with salad or soup. The sauce brought back memories. I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and broccoli casserole. So good. Our friend had the pot roast. In it's truest form this was perfect comfort food.
