You have all the reviews of people who used the products and services of Day\'s Espresso & Coffee (Coffee Shop) in Kentucky.
Now this firm has a score of 4.5 over 5 and that rating has been calculated on 212 reviews.
You must have seen that the average of ratings is virtually the best, and it's founded on a very large number of scores, so we can think that the assessment is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to set reviews when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Coffee Shop corresponds to the category of Coffee shop.
Whenever you go to Highland Mornings, stop here while you wait. Delicious coffee with cool rotating artwork. After coffee and then breakfast, hop next door to Tattoo Salvation for a more permanent art piece.
Well done location for a date or studying windows. Coffee of the day (Cafe Au Laite) had a good taste that was smooth as well as not overpowering. Their iced lattes (Carmel) seemed sweeter than necessary. Could be the syrup used. Good pricing for your value though! Be wary of parking during busy hours.
Ice coffee was disgusting, And it cost more than Starbucks or Heine Brother's coffee. I was really looking forward to change of scenery. At least I know I'm paying for quality when I'm at Starbucks or Heine Brother's.
This is my favorite study place in Louisville, great vibe, friendly people, and great coffee. I'll spend 5+ hours here sometimes reading/writing.
I wish they had better recycling options but it's always been a family favorite. Best steamers on bardstown
Had a Caramel Latte... Delicious! It was more crowded than usual but great atmosphere!
They could need up their tea selection, but they're a really nice coffee house and the staff is always friendly.
Good coffee, nice staff, always a great place to grab a drink from.
Day's is one of my staples when I am visiting Louisville. I have been coming here for at least 7 years, and I have loved it every single time. The atmosphere is calm and inviting. There are board games and other activities available to customers while relaxing with a nice flavored iced coffee. The espresso drinks and Italian sodas are also pretty much amazing. They also sell biscotti, cookies, and other dessert-type things that they get from a local African cookie place called Kizito, which is only a block northwest from the coffee shop. Every member of the staff is friendly and helpful and the baristas definitely know their coffee- and espresso-brewing techniques. Try the iced hazelnut coffee with some soymilk!
Very nice local feeling coffee shop. Lots of regulars around, and the coffee was delicious. Great spot.
The shop is just like when I had open it an looking to speak with the company soon TM owner.
The best, doesnt feel like it's all about capitalizing on community.
Best of the best coffee shops in Louisville on Bardstown road. Forget Heineken Bros... bitter brew, please that is not coffee. Starbrokes? Burnt coffee. Pshaw! Skip it. Might as well go to McDonald's for Coffee or Dunking Dougnuts. Want a real Caffè Latte or Capuccino done right? Go where real Barista's do coffee justice.
Best Coffee in Louisville!
Awesome little shop.
The coffee drinks are good and parking on Bardstown road isn't the best, but it isn't awful either. The staff is friendly but indifferent, and there is usually enough seating. If you want a decent cup of coffee, this a good place to go, since it is convenient and the prices aren't that expensive.
Fun coffee shoppe. Happy I stopped in. Great staff , friendly and fun to chat with. Coffee is good too , so that helps . On my list to revisit next time through louville.
This is an excellent and incredibly quaint coffee shop; they provide fresh food that is made to order and their employees are friendly and well-mannered. Day's Espresso is a hidden gem in The Highlands and provides as an quiet space for students, enthusiasts, and everyone in between.
Day's Espresso is a great spot for me to work quietly. There are booths instead of just tables and chairs and it makes the place seem more like a restaurant than a coffee shop.
The atmosphere is great! I really enjoy the large windows and chill music in the background. My wife and I walked here from Cherokee Park to warm up. I really liked the flavor of my wife’s vanilla latte. I ordered a French press with the Peru coffee and did not enjoy my drink. The flavor was weak and burnt. It’s possible I didn’t pick the best origin/roast. I will visit again and try more coffee. There is a lot to like about Day’s! The coffee just wasn’t something I would pay for again.
Coffee is pricey but the staff is super friendly and it’s literally across the street from my house, so I can’t complain too much when coffee is that convenient!
Obsessed with Big Trains!!
Great expresso and snacks. Nice layout with plenty of seating and little nooks to study in.
Lucky for us, this place was right next door to the breakfast spot that we had to wait for. We strolled in here to grab some coffee and wait it out. This place has by far the best mocha! This will be on my radar next time I am in town!
Been coming here since I first started to drink coffee as a kid, some of the best espresso drinks in town and a great place to come as a student with its large booths where you can really spread out and study
nice quiet cafe, coffee was good, internet was broken
A little pricey as some are. $6.48 for an xl (20oz) Sugar free caramel latte with skim milk. And it was delicious. I added some of my own Stevia I carry with me. Cute and quiet little place. Polite staff and clean store. Plenty of space to bring your laptops and do work or school.
Coffee is good but this place is way too pretentious for me
Coffee is okay and the staff is friendly.
Heine Brother's is just better.
Day's is my second favorite coffee shop in Louisville. The store has a cozy, inviting atmosphere, as well as friendly and helpful staff. The drinks are solidly good, and to my knowledge, this may be the only place in town that can readily supply you with a butterscotch latte.
Neighborhood coffee shop
Decent coffee, great atmosphere
Wonderful staff, great coffee and atmosphere! One of my faves.
My favourite coffeehouse in Louisville! Best place to get a quiet cup and play some Scrabble. Always nice and low-key and the staff are friendly too!!!
Barista was arrogant and lacked personality
Good place to do work.
Great place with excellent atmosphere!
Great Coffee next to St James and highland Morning what else could you ask for?
Amazing drink choices, definitely one of the best coffee shops in the Highlands.
My favorite place to study and get work done. The WiFi is a bit slow if you need to load videos. Ask for the student discount if it applies!
Days is amazing. The staff is always friendly, the space is really cool and laid back, and they have fantastic coffee and other drinks. It's also a great place to study! Love this place
It was my first time in the shop this morning. Ordered a French press and was told to pick my blend. Never having been in the store before, I didn't really know the process of ordering. Then when I went back to the counter and ordered a French press to go, was told, not very friendly, that it was in house only and then when I apologized and said ok, sorry I've never been here before, was told that it says it right on the sign . Coffee was good, service was rude . I'll try a new shop next time im in town .
Nice homey place to sip&study. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and a large variety of herbal teas mixed with the intelligent and competent staff make this place a go-to daily.
Great atmosphere. Good coffee. My favorite place in town.
Great service
Great coffee and friendly people
The atmosphere is gorgeous but the espresso is very overpriced. I got two white chocolate peppermint mocha (16oz) and was charged just over $12. I am able to get the same drinks at 24 oz for $10 at another coffee place. The drinks were burnt with a nasty after taste. When I let the barista know that they may want to check the machine, since it was burning the coffee, she obviously didn't care. We will not be going back.
Have you seen an old TV show called "Friends"? Well, I feel this coffee shop has somewhat similar atmosphere as the "Central Perk". Premium location, relaxed and friendly. For me, it is a harbor where I can get some coffee, socialize, study, read, or have a date. Always quality time spent with people or by myself here.
Day's Coffee is authentic Highlands atmosphere plus outstanding espresso and coffee. The best of Louisville.
i love day's! it's my favorite coffee shop to work at. baristas are always friendly, and the coffee is great. i love the music selection, too.
Prices are what you'd expect. Staff is friendly.
Good coffee and great (iced) tea options.
Nothing bad on this menu. Great cookie bars also.
Nice place to hang out and get work done. The set up is perfect for students looking for a place to finish a paper.
Great drinks, very friendly staff, and I love the booths because you can have a quiet conversation with friends. If you want a decadent drink like a frappucino try The Train! This has also been known as a gay-friendly spot in the neighborhood for a long time, and after they were recently vandalized it's more important than ever to show some support.
Local, welcoming, and fabulous. Need I say more?
We had our favorite cortidata coffee first time in Louisville.
Did not like the espresso drinks here at all.
I would be happy to discuss it further but I'm not sure what there is to discuss. You passed on the opportunity to apologize when I said something to you - you want to apologize now? You want to give us a refund? You want to pay for our breakfast that you ruined? If you want to discuss those things I'll be happy to call you. And by the way the contrast between the treatment we got from you versus the treatment we got over at Highland Morning was like night and day. They couldn't have been more friendly and more accommodating - great service great breakfast and great attitude - the complete opposite of what we got from you. So if you want to talk about those things I'll be happy to discuss it with you further. I've been to Day's many times over the years and have generally had a pretty good experience there except the owner/ manager has never been friendly and today was just downright rude I'm giving this guy a reasonable amount of business over the years and actually had a client meeting schedule there for next week but I'll be moving that meeting to Heine Brothers or Starbucks or Safai. I really don't ask for much but as a paying customer I'm not going to tolerate rudeness. Bad Karma here I would recommend going somewhere else.
Awesome customer service and amazing coffee.
Great mocha!! I like them sweet so I had to put some simple syrup in mine. The chocolate is marvelous and they have friendly service.
Great coffee and location
One of my favorite places to hang out, and have a great cup of java! Always super nice people to wait on you, and a friendly atmosphere!
I have been frequenting Day's Espresso for years and have not had a problem until now. During all of the years I have been frequenting day's, I have noticed the lack of staff of color. Recently, my friend, a woman of color, applied to be a barista. When she showed up for her interview, it was over within 3 minutes. 3 minutes is not a respectable amount of time to accurately assess anyone's competence or compatibility. After speaking with my friend about the few questions she was asked, they were very much unrelated to her ability to do the job well, and did not have the tone of someone being seriously considered for the position. I suspect the brevity and tone of her consideration is highly related to her race. Day's Espresso needs to be much more conscious of the role they play in maintaining systems of inequality, and consider things like representation and discrimination. Until I see a change in this regard, I will be taking my money elsewhere and will be urging others to do the same.
While studying for my PT licensure board exam, I took it upon myself to visit every coffee shop within 25 minutes of my house in order to continuously change my environment, as I would be expected to recall the knowledge in a new environment as well (very nerdish, I know, but it worked and I passed). Anyway, doing this gave me a great opportunity to compare all of the best coffee shops in the general Louisville area, and this one ended up being my favorite (although there were some that did come close). The ambiance, service, variety, space, and of course, the coffee, were all on point. If I gave them a grade, it would be an A+ and I can't wait to come back.
Nice atmosphere, good coffee great place to hang out and relax
This is by far my favorite place to sit and write. Best lattes, best Chai lattes, great tea selection. Awesome people, the best atmosphere. I would not change a thing.
I am a frequent visitor here and absolutely love the people at the atmosphere. It if a great place to meet with friends and injury a great cup of coffee and laughs.
Good good good good
This is my go to coffee shop. Queer friendly and good coffee!
Quaint place for delicious coffee and conversation or perhaps read a book. The only downside is parking, which is sparse, but you can usually find a spot close enough at off-times.
Best coffee shop in town
Great atmosphere and delicious coffee!!
The frozen smoothie chocolate malt/espresso is the most amazing thing ever invented. Clean, neat little coffee shop in the Highlands. Friendly staff.
Just an all around good place for coffee or tea.
Not the best coffee in town, the syrups taste cheap and the chai latte was in a pitcher in the fridge and watered down. Will not return. Many better choices in the city.
Nice baristas; cozy, yet open and modern setting. Perfect for a Cappuccino, etc, any time.
Neighborhood favorite
yummy coffee
The atmosphere and baristas were great! The iced chai latte was small, overpriced and lacking in flavor or anything to make it unique. They do, however, have free WiFi and comfy couches.
Nice staff, nice place to have a cup of joe...
This is a great coffee shop. Not only does it have great coffee and espresso drinks. It has a vast and delicious tea selection. They serve sharable french press coffee and full pots of tea. Days is a great space to meet with friends, study, or or do some work. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I couldn't ask for a better suited coffee shop to take care of some work while enjoying a pot of tea.
Nice people great service highly recommend
The owners here really make the place welcoming. Definitely one of my favorite local coffee shops to grab a quick coffee while waiting for brunch or relax for a while! Love this place!
atmosphere is gorgeous
This place beats Starbucks or Heine brothers by a million times. I love how quaint and nice it is here. The teas are a great affordable price, the hot drinks are reasonable too. The baristas are so sweet ☺. I love this gem very much.
I love the environment of quills, heine brothers is the widely popular place, but Day's has - hands down - my favorite flavor of black coffee in Louisville, and a nice atmosphere and good view.
This coffeehouse is my absolute favorite in Louisville! They have the best coffee hands down. The manager/owner is as expedient as he is proficient. He always has the BEST music playing too! I've been a customer here for 15 years- they will always have my business!
Got a 12oz latte at Day's yesterday and it was delicious! Sat outside on the patio while I sipped on it and I very much enjoyed my visit there. Highly recommend!
The personnel were not that friendly, didn't talk or say hi or bye even was not busy. Area were clean but I was surprised compared to other local coffee places. Last time I went there was almost 4 years ago and was so good due to my collage I choose this place to study. This time was unfortunate that seems like they were not happy employee. However, the guy did a great job by making my Cuppochino with webcream on top so I attached the image. Was so awesome.
My favorite coffee shop. The kindest staff ever! Delicious coffee and teas. Great sandwiches for when you're working too long and need a bite. And nice, private-feeling booths in the back to work from. They also support local artists by showcasing and selling their art work. I adore this place. In fact, wrote a majority of my book from their booths!
We loved our cappuccinos and oatmeal cream pie!
Absolute favorite espresso in louisville. They make their own chocolate powder for mochas!
Friendly place with good coffee and a good vibe.
Great inexpensive cafe to grab a quick coffee or tea.
Great service and they make a great mocha.
Went here to get a cappuccino and I couldn't even drink it. The espresso was so bitter it tasted almost medicinal. The customer service was good, though.
I've been going to Highland for more than fifteen years. The employees have always been brilliant and spot on with service! Both beverage and food items have never disappointed, and the clintel interesting to say the least. Keep it weird Highland.
A pleasant experience.
Coffee wasn't the greatest ever but definitely not bad! Atmosphere is great, super chill and I love the vibe. Definitely will be returning in the near future!
This is my go to coffee. A small shop with great service, friendly patrons and a laid back atmosphere. Nothing like sitting in the little window seats watching the people go by.
Cozy neighborhood coffee shop with great nooks for studying.
I love this place friendly staff and amazing coffee
Just had one of the bery best Cafe Au Lait w extra espresso shot I’ve had in Louisville. Starbucks doesn’t even begin to compare.
Most magical and wonderful coffee shop in the land! Watch out for the unicorn droppings and try not slip on any rainbows. Thank you for being the best coffee shop in town! I love the tea and treats as well. Mmm, Smores brownie... Me and the wife love this place!
Great place to hangout, great coffee, great prices.
Yep Yep
Yet another place in Louisville that features local art. Good coffee and snack keep the atmosphere cozy.
Perfect place to come in from the cold and get a hot drink! Very laid back.
Good coffee, warm and quiet interior. There's more going on in a place like Safai and Day's is left perfectly for those who want to get work done.
Great coffee and atmosphere.
Excellent espresso drinks. One thing that sets them apart for me is the low acid dark roast they sometimes have on tap, which is great for those of us who love dark roast but suffer from indigestion because of it.
Pretty good Chai, great atmosphere.
If you need a excellent, awedome coffee, sunday! Until 10pm.... this is the place.
This place is great! Great food, awesome drinks, friendly staff! Such a cute little coffee spot!
They have the best latte in the city of Louisville. Good, friendly service at an agreeable price. I get the 20 oz latte at least once a week!
Love playing board games and drinking coffee here with friends!
I LOVE Day's. I study here as often as possible and LOVE the vibe and environment as well as the service. For a long time, I told everyone to come here bc the Chai Lattes were the "best in the city". However, recently they changed the chai recipe, and it is... well lacking. It is hard to find the Chai taste, and it's much weaker and 'thin'. Coming here to study and ordering a chai has been my favorite thing to do since college (I am in a doctoral program now), but I won't lie- this new chai recipe puts a damper on that, and I can no longer tell people how this is my favorite drink/shop in the city.
Had to wait 25 minutes for a bus so stopped in for a green tea. They have a paper you can read (NY Times & CJ) with a fun music selection.
Good quality coffee beans. The place probably needs free wifi to get more customers.
Delicious!
Great place to relax and enjoy a good iced coffee on a hot day.
