This Coffee Shop belongs to the category of Coffee shop.
Had the Bumble Buzz latté made with bourbon honey and it was delicious. Not a wide range of bikes to choose from. Mostly just city/commuter bikes. Great vibe. Would be a great place to study or have a business meeting. Also has an outdoor area with tables.
Love this business! Bought my first mountain bike last year, and though I had done a lot of homework, these guys gave me solid advice and helped me narrow down the choices and select a perfect bike for me. Has been the same way with the add-on purchases since then. Everyone I've met there has been knowledgeable and helpful with purchases and maintenance. Never any sales pressure. They definitely seem more interested in long-term customer relationships than quick transactions. I don't even bother looking anywhere else for upgrades and accessories--w/ the exception of my hitch-mounted bike rack they've had everything I've needed. The beautiful building, pleasant work space, and great coffee are just gravy!
I have never experienced anyone this rude! The woman behind the counter needs to correct her attitude. I will no longer support this location. The blondish red hair cashier is very unfriendly. I used to get my bike fixed at this location, I think I'd rather walk. Than to have to deal with her ever again!
The Broomwagon crew is top notch, it's our home-away-from-home. Food, drinks, coffee - stop by for everything you need. And they know more about bikes than me, so I know the wheels won't fall off after I try to fix something.
Great coffee, great beer, good food, cool spot. Great bike shop as well. Service is hard to beat.
This is a small coffee shop that is actually inside of a bike repair place of the same name and company. I don’t own a bicycle but I hear they do fast and awesome work. Something I meant to take a photo of and complete forgot to do was the light fixture in the main dining area - It was made with industrial bulbs and bike chains! One of my favorite lights I've ever seen. The atmosphere at The Broomwagon was lovely. Very cozy and with the sunset starting on the north side of town, it was lit beautifully. No space for a lot of people and when we were there, it was only us and one other couple with a laptop watching last week Game of Thrones episode together in a corner. The outside patio was huge and had lots of seating as well as a sort of outdoor flower garden. My favorite part - possibly of the entire trip, was the giant mural painted on the brick wall of the next door building. A dozen origami birds soared above us was we sipped our milkshakes outside. And the milkshakes were fabulous, but took a long time to make in comparison with other places. Although their food menu Is very limited (about a dozen items total) most of them are ‘hipster’ and involve either kale, quinoa, or both. We came for milkshakes so this didn’t bother us, but we may not be eating dinner there anytime soon.
Food was good. I got the veggie wrap for first try at the place. It was good as expected. I had the kale salad as well. Definitely good there. Can't really mess with kale though. My buddy has tried a few other options. From what I gather they were amazing. Price is as expected for this type of place. Selection is short but very unique. I would definitely go back and recommend if one is wanting something different and health conscious.
My neighbor recommended this place after someone hit my car and drove off. It was raining while I was there, I was kinda sad but the muffin and coffee were great. Service was impeccable, didn't do a lot to cheer me up though but that's not their job. A lot of people walked in and out. I think they were maybe looking for someone that was trying to meet them at a different time. My friend and I imagined it as an old timey cowboy saloon which wasn't hard to do at all, a definite plus. And you know what I always say "If it's good enough for Corey McCall it's good enough for me. "
Broomwagon is awesome! Different brands if bikes than anywhere else in town, great coffee, and super great vibe.
Great customer service. Warm and inviting atmosphere. Reasonable prices!
Long wait at noon for a sandwich shop but worth it.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff, both in the bike shop and the cafe. Great prices on labor, around average for parts. Standard prices on craft beers, 4 rotating taps as well as cans and bottles available. Awesome place, have a beer while you wait on your bike. Or coffee, whatever works for ya.
Fabulous coffee and great atmosphere. Awesome breakfast/lunch offerings, too!
Great customer service and great rates. They thoroughly guided me through the process of converting my bike to a fixed gear, explained to me everything I needed, and helped me make decisions where necessary. I had them do the labor on the project. Dropped off my bike around 10 am and picked it up at 2 pm. Can't beat Broomwagon!
Bumble Buzz coffee was so awesome while waiting on great service for my mountain bike..
Stopped in for a quick lunch and pour over coffee. Both were great!
Everything about Broomwagon Bikes + Coffee is spectacular, from their food to their coffee, beer, and especially their customer service. I came to this store at a random recommendation of someone I met on the streets of Lexington when asking about moving to the city. Adam was patient with me, a new rider, and helped me select the perfect bike for my needs. From the moment my bike arrived to future visits they have impressed with their knowledge and skill--I would recommend this place to anyone interested in coffee, beer, and especially cycling!
Good quality, though my barista was a bit condescending when asked for the wifi password...
Super Quaint coffee shop with a bicycle Shop inside, very impressed, best grill cheese ever!!!
Terrible customer service. Ordered a pour over and was told it is 5 dollars, I've been to many a coffee shop and have never seen a 5 dollar pour over. So I order a brewed coffee, and watch as the barista pours it, and then steams it to heat it up, and it's still cold. I told him it was cold, and he says "well normally we don't brew any more coffee after 6, I can steam it some more." The hours say you are open until 9 right? You are a coffee shop correct? So you charge me anyway for cold coffee you know isn't fresh, and then you won't make a new pot. Sorry to be rude, but pathetic. Worst coffee shop experience I have ever had. And the barista couldn't have cared less. Bummer I had high expectations for this place.
If various experiences and establishments and venues about Lexington made up a pie chart of reasons why this difficult-for-an-overly-energetic-mountsin-man could bear to accept a dream job and uproot a Red River Mountain life to move to the chaotic traffic air conditioned sirens blazing city of Lexington Kentucky... I would eat that pot pie here. I've made friends, learned to play polo, met a future WRFL Deejay, borrowed an amazing science fiction novel ( Paprika ), and bought a location specific World Polo Championship Lexington frameset here. The owners care deeply about the ethical development of the area... I'm not crying! You're crying! Seriously. All the stars.
Food is great. The place looks fantastic! Good service every time.
Amazing place to work with great coffee and a wide variety of food to keep you going for long hours. They are finishing a new outside area that looks pretty cool, perfect to enjoy the summer sun. The servers are very nice. Definitely will go again
Great cup of coffee with friendly service. Combo bike repair and coffee shop.
Just about all of the shops in town cater to the spandex wearing, roadie crowd. As I am a member of this crowd, I don’t toss stones at them for doing this. Unfortunately, this is not how 90% of the cycling population rides. Broom Wagon caters to the vast, forgotten majority of cyclist. There prices are low, there work is good and, and there expertise is solid. Lexington has needed a shop like this for a long time.
Awful, I asked a clerk/ bike tech for a tire bead jack (it stretchs stubborn tires onto rims) and explained what was and even the name of a company made them.( "kool tool" ) he kept doubling and tripling down on his original answer that "no such tool exists" instead of simply checking to see if he could order it for me. I also had a brake adjustment that within 2 weeks the brake pad was rubbing the tire and I also noticed the rear axle was loose when I first got the bike back. I can't say with 100% certainty that the axle wasn't loose when I took it in, but the tire rubbing I strongly suspect they were "hanging parts" to squeeze money out of me. In fairness, I have had 2 good experiences at this shop but 3 bad experiences, the third was when a clerk wouldn't even make time for me and just told me to come back later. He didn't even ask are care what I needed.
After having a not so awesome experience and not even getting service at another coffee joint, I was more than tickled to stumble upon this joint! Staff was super friendly, drinks were awesome with indoor/outdoor seating! Food, coffee, tea, beer, and bike shop?! Plus super neat decor with hand carved wood items and bike gear crafts. They had a group of local musicians in the patio area who were just having fun with some impromptu folksy music. Did I mention most of their drink specials have items from their garden? Best of ALL, they are dog friendly!
The staff is very friendly and blondish red head behind the counter is awesome!
Very active in the vibrant Lexington cycling community! They were integral in the recovery of my stolen bicycle. These folks will treat you right and make you feel at home in Lexington and their bicycle/coffee shop. Don’t forget to try their food, they have an excellent selection of sandwiches and wraps, including delectable vegan/veggie options.
This was a wonderful Tuesday morning retreat. Stop for a bite to eat and got the breakfast wrap. It was divine. I can't believe how much every thing just melted in my mouth. The pricing was great and the relaxed vibes of the staff and interior design flow was a nice touch. Sat and enjoyed pleasant conversations while I ate my breakfast. Definitely coming back.
I can have a beer, play pokemon, and get bike parts all in one place! Wubba lubba dub dub!
Really nice little shop! Went there for some coffee and I was really impressed with the quality and selection of coffee/espresso drinks. Service was very polite and helpful. I will definitely to come back to try their food!
Great place for coffee, conversations and working.
This place is dope. Everyone is cool, the food is great, and the bicycle work is quality and cheap.
Good place for coffee but the beer selection definitely needs some improvement.
I'm not just a student, im the Dean! And the Janitor!
Good food and atmosphere
Good place to get bike work done, or do some studying.
It's another very good place to buy or fix your bicycle there. It's also a very good place to get something to eat and drink while your bike is getting fixed
Two "old and in the way" folks were looking for a nearby coffee shop to sit down and have a cup of joe. Google pointed us to BroomWagon so we stopped by. The café turned out to be a hidden gem. We ordered our coffee, loved the atmosphere and decided to try a couple of menu items. The service and the food were great. We plan on making a return visit.
Great food and drinks, laid back and unique atmosphere, and friendly staff!
Laid back and comfortable, tasty food and good beer. Oh ya, and bikes. Dog friendly with occasional live music.
Great coffee, friendly
Employees are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Would highly recommend.
That grilled cheese is ridiculous. Love this spot.
A one-stop shop - new bikes, cycling gear and accessories, coffee and espresso, delicious hot food, cold beers, dope atmosphere.
The Broomwagon has the best customer service anywhere.
An excellent environment for someone interested in cycling! Very welcoming and knowledgeable people behind the counter ready to provide answers to any questions you may have. I am glad I stopped in to have them take a look at my bike.
The red head lady at the counter is extremely rude!
Just not impressed, over priced hipster place.
Great local shop operated by caring and knowledgeable folks who want to help you get the best out of your bike. The laid-back atmosphere and nice selection of grub, beer, and smoothies makes it a place you want to go back to not just for bike repairs!
Nice little coffee shop, that also sells bikes and bike parts, and alcohol. They have several local fermented beverages, as well as some good beer on tap. there was a nice bluegrass jam going on outside and it was a very relaxed environment. the staff was very friendly.
If you're going to have breakfast/brunch/lunch at a coffee shop, this is the one to go to. The sandwiches are delicious, healthy, and filling. They come with a side as well - chips, kale salad, or quinoa salad - and range from $6 - $9. The cafe/bike shop has a calm, friendly, and productive environment.
Really refreshing smoothies; not only was it rejuvenating, it was so tasty! Bike shop and cafe are both reasonably priced. Personel are attentive and helpful. Highly recommended for the serious and relaxed cyclist.
I was very interested to check out this new place. We are bikers so my wife and I headed there for lunch. We thought it was a cute place but, I went with the dream of a juicy hot dog or a fresh hamburger with a Coke & fries! Boy was I disappointed. Look, I understand, people who like to eat healthy and I certainly don't care what anyone chooses to eat, but those people are a minority. Just a fact. Why would you want to alienate the vast majority of your potential customers by not having some fan favorites available? Let's just say my wife thought it was ok and I'm still picking branches and sticks out of my teeth. Let me know when they get some real food on the menu, because I won't be back until they do.
Excellent.
Delicious coffee, beer, and snacks. Good people. Outdoor fire pit! And full service bike shop. Dig it!
Food and service were great, and it's a bike shop.
Great food and service
Cool atmosphere and great food. Excellent veggie options available!
Good food, but $1 for a coffee refill when purchasing a meal is not cool.
Amazing cold brew and delicious, well-priced sandwiches. Nice, helpful staff and overall great vibe. They have wifi as well which is a plus. Highly recommend for coffee, food, beer or getting your bike fixed if you are in need of that.
Best smoothie ever!!
Took my bike there for service on a Sunday and it was ready Monday afternoon as the mechanic was due to come in that day. I really appreciated the detailed notes left on my receipt re: what they found and the work performed. I would definitely return. Thanks for the great service!
James was so helpful and knowledgeable. This place is so local.
Great place! Go there and spend all your money! They have good hours for people who work during the day, coffee, beer, food, bikes, indoor bike parking, live music at times, and you can watch the experienced mechanics work on your bike. If you desire anything more than that it's probably not legal.
I've tried two of their specials, a lavender hot chocolate and something else (sorry I forget!) And they were both really good. It is connected to a bike shop and located on the corner.
Great place for hanging out. They have cafe drinks, food, and also a few taps. Trivia on Fridays. On the bike side they are very knowledgeable and willing to help.
Delicious food and friendly staff
Great atmosphere but don’t expect fast service or to be served soon.
Grilled Cheese and Puerto Rican style beans. Also, bike shop is cool. Always great coffee. Always great staff!
Rad place with nice people.
One of Lexington's hidden gems!!! I adore this place. Whether you are a foodie or a bicyclist, it has something for everyone. I LOVE the coffee (and I'm not a coffee person) and the grilled cheese is amazing. Delicious pickled zucchini salad, smoothies from real fruit and everything they do has a creative/inventive spin. The menu is limited (about 10 items total including all of the sides) but what they do, they do remarkably well. It's a small place with big wow factor regarding food. Might make me think about taking up bicycling at some point! Service is equally great. While it is out of my way to stop by on my way to work, the occasional times that I do, I just call a few minutes before arrival and most mornings Cheryl is there and has my order ready to go. She's awesome!
Always love coming here. Great people, great food, super great hot sauces, and an awesome beer selection.. this place makes me happy!
Great place! Get some delicious food while they fix your bike A Lexington gem for sure
Great bike shop and you can drink a gourmet cafe latte while you shop
Very good food and mood, but I have yet to meet a broom or a wagon. We did bike here, and there is coffee, so the important parts are hugely successful.
Got my tire fixed cheap and a great cup of cold brew. Awesome place.
awesome shop! love having the as my shop to go always just another benefit of my hometown
Extremely welcoming and helpful, friendly people! Great food, eclectic mix of offerings, house made hot sauce was so good, coffee was excellent, cute bike shop merch, beautiful outdoor space, definitely visit! Visit Forage, next door, for houseplants too!
I am an old non-tattooed non-hipster drip-coffee roadie, & do not understand those who do not have the sense of self to eat, drink or seek cycling help comfortably in a combo cafe/bike shop that is not in the "roadie" part of town (is there any shop in Lexington that is?) My wife (not a cyclist) is more comfortable here than in Starbucks. The omelettes on the weekend are esp outstanding and you can load a prepaid card for cash-free convenience. Before a recent accident, I rode to and ate here an avg of twice a week: it is convenient to the Legacy Trail & neighborhoods leading to Bryan Station or Russell Cave are rider-friendly. Typically you are not leaving a bike for an indeterminate period of servicing as at most shops. Highly recommended for cycling veterans, newbies or just hungry people. The cycle stock is necessarily selective for quality, not quantity. Parking can be a challenge but not if you are on two wheels.
Love this place. It is very close to my home on the northside of Lexington and the coffee, food, and staff are fantastic.
Bikes, food, and coffee in one place? Count me in.
Nice combination of bikes and eclectic food choices. Also, local craft beers on tap.
All-in-one type of shop. Bike repair is dependable, food is great, staff are fun to chat with, and the coffee is good. If they still have the "Wafflette", you have to order it. Half waffle, half omelette and it is delicious.
I love my visits to Broom Wagon. Not the cheapest place to equip your bike or to eat, but I love the staff, I like the food, and it's a fun place to hang out for some Lexington bike culture. Plus they're open on Sunday.
Good post ride stop from Legacy Trail. Smoothies we're excellent. (Full service bike shop as well.)
Great sandwiches and the new bread is very good. Interesting combination of coffee shop and full service bike shop.
Excellent grilled cheese.
Good coffee
Half café, half bike shop. Best place in town to get coffee, buy bike parts, and feel trendy all at once.
Excellent bike shop with great food and coffee! Very positive experience everytime I stop by... Very helpful staff to fix or upgrade a bike... and the best food ever in the kitchen.
I'm not a hipster, they don't like me - not that they will say it to your face, but I don't enter their establishment any longer; the looks I received told me I was not welcome, and the feeling is decidedly mutual; others seem to enjoy it. Shop elsewhere if you're not hip.
OMGosh!! My daughter and I just ate at the cafe' and had the best lunch! Highly recommend the Jammie Sammie and the BLT!! The fresh salsa and chips were also a tasty side! We will definitely be back!!
This is my favorite cafe/bike shop in Lexington by far. All of the staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is very chill. The Magic Beans coffee blends they use are some of the best coffee I've ever had. My personal favorites are the Banana Oat Protein Smoothie with a Soy base and the bumble buzz latte made with whole milk. In addition, they now also serve CBD coffee and smoothies! The bike portion is also one of the most affordable bike repair and maintenance shops in town.
Great coffee and service! Stopped in for a cup and left with a new bike for my daughter. Knowledgeable and friendly group of people.
I hadn't been here for about six months with my bike but the owner remembered me, remembered my bike. Coffee and food great as well.
