Awesome. Not a vegan place but all the vegan options were great. I didn't see the heirloom tomatoes paired with any vegan options so I got :em with a side of beets. Good call they were both awesome nice decor and warm friendly cheerful vibe. Wait staff didn't look or act like they would rather be someplace else. Neither did i!.

The atmosphere is very nice and clean. The food here is great — I got the veggie burger with fries, and it’s a strange thing to say, but I loved their ketchup. It wasn’t like how ketchup in stores are. I’d go back there for a bunch of fries to dip into that ketchup. The burger was also great. It was pretty slow service when I went there though, and it wasn’t hardly crowded.

We went here for lunch a couple of times, Parking is a little difficult but I have managed both times. The place is really cool, urban and nice vibe to it. We had bloody marys that were killer! The food was VERY good and the service was good, all in all a very good experience, the only negative is it is a bit pricey for lunch, but for an every once in a while splurge, this is a great space!

The High Tea drink was delicious as was the loaded tots. Had macaroni with sausage for main course, the sausage definitely added something to the dish. If you’re into warm Mimosa’s and cold chilaquiles this is the spot for you!! Food is pretty bland all around. And when you mention the temp of the food being off to a server they will kindly correct you and let you know that it is not wrong. Definitely will never be back. Much better restaurants not too far away

Not impressed at all. The food is too expensive for the quality of the food. Also, what restaurant doesn't have regular mustard? The lemonade was so water down and tasteless. The staff was not friendly.

Excellent flavor combinations and appropriate pricing for farm to table. Will definitely be back to try other dishes! They have a wide variety of craft beer, I noticed, as well as a few commercial brands. You can also order from a specialty cocktail menu and purchase wine by the bottle or glass. The menu is mostly beef, pork, fish, or vegetarian with a couple of vegan options. I was glad to see they pay special attention to gluten and nut allergies, with symbols beside each dish on the menu. Overall my husband and I were very impressed. It's a great place for a date, with small tables, excellent food and alcohol, and large windows showcasing the sunset.

I was impressed with The Westside Local. They accommodated our large party and got a few extra chairs when we had more people than our reservation. They also had no problem seating part of our party while we waited for others to arrive (something that is unheard of in other cities). The food was also great.

Creative menu, you can tell they really care about what they put out. Husband loved the house beer. The food was made well and tasted good, a solid "A" , but it didn't absolutely blow my socks off like some places in KC have. I got the meatloaf. My husband good the Mac and cheese, my dad the jalapeno burger, mom.. a different burger? Creative cocktails. I would probably try it again if the opportunity came up. Took a while to get the food, probably 45 minutes, but it was a Friday so no harm no foul.

Finally decided to check out this great local spot. It was a wonderful and eclectic atmosphere. We had lunch on their outdoor patio on Saturday. Service was great and informative, and the food was delicious. We both had their homemade limeade, which was delicious. I also had their soup special, chicken tortilla. It was just spicy enough and not too cheesy (I don't like the ones that taste more like queso cheese dip). I also had their famous kale salad with the bacon- definitely a must try! Can't wait to check out their Sunday brunch.

The food and drinks here are amazing. I never hesitate to trust a server's suggestion and am always impressed. I'm not complaining, but giving a heads up that the waits can be long. They are almost always busy so don't come on a time crunch, come when you have time to enjoy. fantastic outdoor covered seating for when the weather is nice at large family sized tables make it an ideal group setting. One of my favorite places to get a cocktail or a full meal.

Food was great. Aesthetic of the restaurant was great. When it comes to service though, you will have better luck at your local McDonalds. It took fifteen minutes for us to be greeted and after that our waitress paid zero attention to our table and had an awful attitude the two times she came to our table. On top of that, our waitress was taking pictures of us from the kitchen and spending more time talking in the back than doing her job. As anyone who has been in the restaurant industry for more than two minutes knows, service makes or breaks a dining experience and this experience was god awful. I really wanted to like Westside Local but the service was absolutely unacceptable.

This is a fantastic little eatery, that lies just off the beaten path. The meals our group had were amazing, and the drinks were fantastic. It's small, so you may have trouble getting in, but keep your groups small, and you'll have an easier time. Standouts were the Bison & Pork Bolognese, and the Surf n' Turf. Both which paired nicely with their cocktail "Death."

I highly recommend this place. Parking could be a problem because only street parking is available. So come early!

One of the Best Mac N Cheese’s in Town, but very Expensive for what you receive. Perfectly Crisp Fries. Staff is usually Nice. Service Speed is Average at best. Clean Establishment. When not packed it’s cozy. 3 Stars bc their Burger Quality has gone downhill (the last 3 time they failed to cook a burger Med-Rare after multiple attempts each visit. Just overall presentation is great. Prices are high. I always leave disappointed!

A third of the entrees on the menu weren't available because "our ovens are down." Wouldn't have been so bad if they hadn't waited to tell us until after we were seated, drinking and had both decided on one of those "not available" entrees for dinner.

This was different from most other places I've been. We were seated immediately outside, (which had propane heaters to counterbalance cooler temperatures), and were started with drink orders fairly quickly. The chips and corn queso appetizer was great; those chips are freshly made and some of the best! All of our food was delicious, and the parmesan and garlic fries were crispy and had a lot of flavor. The family ordered a bowl of mac and cheese to share, which was incredible! The food took a little longer than expected to come, but that's really the only complaint. The wait staff was fun, and wanted to make guests comfortable. Overall a very good restaurant!

This place had potential but we were left disappointed. The jalapeno jam burger had no jalapeno heat and no jam sweet. The lemonade needed more fizz. The antipasti board was almost all far too sweet. The meatloaf was great. Slight tweaks to everything could have made this all fantastic.

Co-worker and i went for lunch (Im a meat eater, she is halal) and they had plenty of options for both of us. She got the veggie burger, the waitress recommended getting the patty cooked extra crispy and my co-worker said that made a ton of difference. I had the pork belly sandwhich, pork was so juicy, it was running down my hand. (Btw the mac and cheese is BOMB)

Had a birthday brunch there with 3 friends. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Gets a little noisy, so we asked to move and our was handled easily and quickly. We all agreed our omelettes were tasty with very fresh ingredients. We weren't rushed out even though they were busy. This restaurant and bar is a hidden gem in KC’s Westside neighborhood! Lovely food, great friendly service, and a very cool vibe. Street parking is available although it can be tight during mealtimes. Prices are somewhat high but the food is great. They use local sources and promote local alcohol like boulevard beer. They have three dining or drinking options: inside, in the bar, or outside on the patio (which is covered). The hummus is great and the cauliflower soup and kale salad were delicious. Check it out!

Been multiple times - as always the food was supurb (for real, get some fries), but service seemed unprofessional Had four different people serving us, none of which introduced themselves. Specials were announced somewhat after the fact. Ordered a blended cocktail, told after the fact they were out of straws and had no way to drink it. Which - if you're out of straws, totally cool, it happens. But then they offered a metal straw? So is this someone's like personal metal straw that I'm being offered?? Or are they restaurants?? Which if they are, cool fine why didn't you just being it out in the first place?? Just overall a weird experience.

Every time we come here we are never disappointed. The food is wonderful, the cocktails unique and tasty. Wine selection is not large but pairs lovely with the menu. Can’t get enough of that cheese board! Atmosphere is transitional, casual enough to stop in on a whim, yet nice enough to entertain business colleagues or an evening out with a significant other. It is our go-to place!

OK, service was a bit slow and the atmosphere is trendy with a very unique drink list. I will not judge the food because for me the spices and herbs just weren't a flavor profile and that I liked. I think it was a lot of fennel. Had the charcuterie board with local fair. Hard boiled eggs were good, flat bread was interesting and uniquely flavored. Picked carrots, grapes were not my favorite. Interesting local cheese selections and a Page which was our overall favorite. Saw other dishes going by and the plates are full. You'll get a good serving.

Couldn't tell of they we're understaffed, or our gal was just having a bad night, but we weren't in a big rush so it didn't impact us too much! On nice weather days, I love their patio/beer garden. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! The neighborhood is super cute, so if you make dinner reservations, show up early so you can walk around and visit the shops before they close! It is a smaller restaurant, so dinner reservations are recommended, but they do have a wait list! This location is also a short drive from West Bottoms where there are a few places to grab a drink and shop at as well!

Delicious, local, perfect I am mad at every single fry I have had in my life that wasn't like these fries. Perfection. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, salty, heaven. We had the Sleepless in Seattle and the League of Their Own beverages. Expertly crafted and a delight to behold. Can't believe we stumbled upon here, just looking for a place close to our B&B. Wow. 5 stars. Absolutely coming back. Wow KC!

This is one of my favorite spots in KC. The atmosphere is lovely - always good music and interesting artwork displayed. The cocktails are fantastic! Food is not only delicious, but being locally sourced is a huge plus for me. The only con is that it's so popular it's sometimes difficult to get in without a reservation - not a huge problem if you remember to make one!

Westside Local is a favorite of mine. Last night I had the pork chop which was good but a but dry. The mashed sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts really complemented the chop. My friend had the striped bass which he said was good. The noodles that came with it were spicy but excellent. Overall a very good meal. The place was busy so service was slow. Will keep going back.
