You will see all the opinions of people like you who buy the products of The Farmhouse (Coffee Shop) around Kansas area.
Nowadays the firm receives a rating of 4.4 out of 5 and the rating is based on 1231 reviews.
As you can read, it reaches an feddbacks average is really high, and it's founded on a large number of scores, so we may be pretty sure that the score is quite faithful. If people have bothered to value when they are happy with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to give tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Coffee Shop is classified in the category of American restaurant.
If this isn’t on you list already it needs to be. We had brunch here on Sunday and it was amazing. Giant common rolls and the complete farm to table experience. They do recommend reservations for faster seating but you can get away without it if you are early.
The staff was friendly. Great beer selection. We came during the week for lunch so we didn't need a reservation but made one anyways just in case. No parking, just street or paid lots in the area but never been an issue for us.
I was just visiting here for business but I ordered the chicken and it was delicious and healthy, this seems like it would be a great place to go on a date.
One of the best restaurants in the KC area for brunch. Fresh fare, friendly staff (usually), and outstanding preparation make this a can't miss spot in the River market.
Service was great. The food was OK. I don't usually compare local restaurants, but West Side Local also sources everything local and it offers a much more extensive menu if you are dining in a group with dietary restrictions or preferences. Lastly the pricing is similar.
Excellent
Absolutely the BEST restaurant in town! No kidding. The food is truly farm fresh, plentiful, exquisitely prepared, and the service is exceptional. A great dining experience!
Wonderful food and great set up. Arrive early or make reservations though. A good place to visit for brunch after city market.
Had the lunch special of barbacoa beef with grits. The best grits I've ever had. The beef was flavorful. Best lunch in a long time.
The food was amazing, the service however was the total opposite at first. It took us 20 minutes to get a drink order in. The nice hostess came and refilled our water glasses several times apologizing for the wait. My friend had been before and reassured me the food was worth it so we waited it out. Once we were over that hurdle though the drinks and food came quickly and we didn't have a long wait for our waiter again. Not sure if he had troubles with another table, hopefully was just a one off thing.
Came here on fathers day with my 3 sons to eat (3,6,8). Was told there should be a wait do too "34 menus open" 20 mins into the wait I watched 2 other partys sat down once they walked up to the counter. Did not stay I felt very disrespected and embarrassed
Food is good but service takes forever. 35 minutes ordering until food is delivered. Time to hire more kitchen staff!
Great place to eat in Rivermarket. Had the hangar steak for dinner. It was a great meal and outdoor patio on 3rd street was nice place to sit and have an evening meal.
There was a wait to get in but it was worth it!! I had chicken fried steak, eggs and potatoes. My son had the regular pancakes and a side of bacon.. delicious!!
Tasty locally grown food. I had the Eggs Benedict. It was perfect. And serving it on challah bread was a surprising twist. Great idea!
Fresh, quality ingredients with unique spins put on traditional dishes. You will not be disappointed with any menu selection.
Quiet clowdy day and the gf and I decided to give it try. THE ABSOLUTE BEST BURGER we've EVER had. Service is polite with a casual contemporary style. Age groups ranged and the artwork and scenery we pleasant to look at. Will definitely be back
Great Bloody Mary's. Good food. Very nice staff.
Like the environment. Good food. And I may just be reading the environment, but they seem LGBT friendly which is awesome.
Great food and service, so fresh!
This will be a place I come back to on tradition every time I'm in town. Everything was very well crafted and of course delicious! Get there early to get a seat!
Gourmet food. Been here a couple times. Can't go wrong with anything off the menu. Great place to take a date for brunch.
Amazing food! So happy we stopped in.
I was here for brunch, as soon as we entered we managed to get a table even though the place was pretty busy. The server seemed a little inexperienced but she was really nice and helpful. My first dish choice wasn't available due to the fact that they use daily-picked fresh ingredients, but the server recommended me a client favorite, and I couldn't be more satisfied with it! The food was great as always and don't even get me started on the cinnamon rolls, just fantastic. Great armosphere for a family brunch or a date.
Nice place, I got greek salad with blueberries and kalamata olives. Blueberry dressing was delicious.
No wait, lots of seating. Friendly staff. The food tasted farm fresh! The Cobb salad was an amazing gluten free option that tasted amazing. Clean and well maintained. Had a great atmosphere. Quiet and pleasant.
Love the building and the decor, ordered the steak and it was a little on the cold side but the flavor was good.
Went for breakfast. Tasty and decent portions for fair prices. Nothing special on their menu, though. It was all ordinary breakfast items I can make at home. A little creativity and a few unusual ingredients or combos woud really make a difference. Coffee was great. Seating was a bit tight. I was closer to the guy at the next table than I was to my wife across the table.
Great food in a relaxed atmosphere.
First my food was spicy when they said it wasn’t. They made me feel very uncomfortable for complaining. My daughters meal was undercooked. Potatoes and carrots were hard. Lamb was so raw it was rubbery. Everyone else enjoyed there meals. Salad, appetizers, and desserts were good. Ordered a coffee but never got it. I won’t try it again.
A bit pricey but incredibly delicious. The Chipotle mashed potatoes were to die for and the steaks we had were cooked right and plated beautifully. The drinks were well made as well and service friendly.
I’ve been here several times and I still love the place! The food is great, the atmosphere trendy, and the staff very helpful. I like the farm-to-table and locally sourced concepts. These ideals are faltering a bit, at least in my circle, but I really appreciate dedication to a local-only mentality. Keep it up!!
Very disappointing. The service was very slow, and the food was so-so. I do realize that everything is made from fresh ingredients, but I expected more flavor. I ended up ordering breakfast, and the toast was paper thin, the hasbrowns were just fries (deep fried)- I am not sure how they earned the ratings they did, must've been on different day and maybe with a different menu???
Great service and food!
Amazing food. A bit of a wait but they text you when your table is ready so you can wander around while you wait. Decor is super cute. Service was good. Food was unbelievable. Can't wait to visit again.
Service was nice but ordering was a task because we have dietary restrictions and allergies and we were told things were pre-made/mixed so many of our party were limited to literally just eggs and bacon. Was sad and frustrating that they couldnt enjoy the full experience too. Food was AMAZING though!
They serve the best food ever. The service was amazing and the place was great
Everyone here is so friendly! Farm-to-table eats. Offers outdoor patio, full bar. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner & brunch. Check website for menu details.
Beautiful experience, Loved the atmosphere and decor. I ate the Arrowhead hanger steak and it set the bar. Prices were amazing. Presentation and artistic flavor pairings were superb. You will not be disappointed.
Good service, delicious food.
Love this restaurant and that they change up the menu but please bring back the Lord Kenzo! Also, traffic at City market is out of hand on the weekends. Better to park far away and scooter or streetcar over.
Food was delicious, service was excellent. In my experience when I take my kiddos out to eat by myself service falters. Danny was great, attentive, not pushy and sweet. I appreciate that so much. Can't go wrong at this little gem.
Everyone was so friendly. The hostess was even so kind as to help my elderly mother get completely comfortable in her seat. This was a blessing to us. The food was delicious and the waiter was completely accommodating down to helping make delicious and needed adjustments to our individual tastes.
The food was really good. I had this steak and eggs dish which both were really good. I would definitely go back. Only issues I really had were like price I thought was a little more than it was worth and the menu was a small selection. But everything else was really good!
Farm to table menu w/ vegan options! Staff has always pleasant, owners are very friendly, approachable & on hand to assist. I Love this place!
Nice place in the city market.. great food
Fantastic food! Usually a wait but it is well worth the quality of food that you receive.
Amazing food and drinks! Best brunch place ever. We will be back!
This is a great restaurant they source the freshest and highest quality local ingredients. With your meal have the French press coffee and save room for dessert!
Food was great and staff were graciously accommodating of our large group.
Food was great and it was a big serving a little high for seniors
Had planned to go here for some time and somewhat disappointed in the whole vibe. May try again if in the area.
Always quality food and experience. Sarah is a wonderful server. Thank you for making our morning even better.
Get there early on Saturdays for a quiet brunch, and pray there aren't screaming toddlers in the back. Food is always amazing, everyone knows how to run the place with a casual ease. Service is always great.
Outstanding spot for dinner. Nice ambience and the service was both friendly and on top of things. Had dinner on a Friday around 730 and it was crowded but not packed. Had a Caesar salad to start which was good but nothing special. Then had entrees. I had the quail which was great and my wife had the duck two ways which was also very nice.
I took my coworker from Florida here because he told me he didn't like Biscuits and Gravy. He's been converted.
Great place for lunch or dinner. I think everything is made from scratch and it shows. Breads, meats, and drinks have all been excellent each time I eat here. Staff is always quick and polite.
Food is always great with a menu that changes so you never get bored. Staff is always nice and we love the queer friendly vibe and gay playlists!
Local Farm sourced food! Happy Hour Burger was good but ordered it medium and it came out well done. Neat atmosphere. Pricey dinner menu 16 oz Rib Eye $50. Okay if you share it.
Great lunch spot! Not too loud, fresh food and friendly folks. What more could you want?
Great brunch excellent atmosphere. Would definitely go back next time I'm in Kansas City
Terrific French press coffee and a filling breakfast hash plate, cozy atmosphere & helpful staff.
While the staff are friendly & you will wait...the food is a C- but that's based off of taste! The portion size & the quality is cooked well but it's lacking depth of flavor! Had to send my steak back twice & then just went without because they couldn't get it right!
Great experience. Excellent farm to table dishes. All eight in our party were very pleased with the various dishes we ordered. Service and atmosphere was top notch. I highly recommend stopping by the Farmhouse!
My new favorite place. Fresh food and great atmosphere
Awesome food. Corned beef hash was absolutely phenomenal.
The food was delicious and the portions were huge!
Great place for locally naturally sourced foods... a little pricey though...
AMAAAAAAAZING!!!!!!! The portions are HUGE and are just about the tastiest meals we've ever had! Definitely go!
Quality food taste good
Amazing food and great service
Food was awesome! I highly recommend the carne asada grilled cheese for lunch. It was so good the best part was the homemade bread that has me there. I don't know about you but I love braids and that is one of the best breads I've ever had for a sandwich.
Pleasant decor with great bar. We stopped by for late coffee and desert. Recommended!
We absolutely loved our experience. We would go back again and again. A great Mother's Day!
Very cool little joint here. Select menu of fresh foods from local farms. Food was great, and the staff was super friendly.
One of the best farm to table spots in Kansas City. Great staff, reasonably priced. Recently stopped in for lunch. Was in and out in 35 min. Below is their BeLT sandwich.
The service was excellent. Danny was really attentive and had good recs. I had the green Chile pork burrito and it was very delicious, better than what I was expecting. Cilantro seasoned eggs? Brilliant. The potatoes that come with it are similar to French fries, and they were perfectly crisp. Unfortunately do not have a photo but the portion size was perfect.
This is a classy and unique restaurant with a creative menu of food choices, each unique and delicious, superb attention to detail. The waitstaff were friendly, kind and aporoachable. The decor and ambiance are lovely, and they feature local artist's work on the walls so there are always new pieces to look at.
So fresh with excellent, knowledgeable service. Enjoyed a great meal and speciality cocktails.
Service was slow..great food
Excellent atmos. The outdoor patio is to the North so, the Sun is perfectly blocked by the building itself. Very pleasant experience!
Wonderful place, and the Saturday manager is the bee's knees!
It's really good, but the cinnamon roll was disappointing. It had a more lemon flavor than cinnamon flavor. The food also took a little too long to arrive. Overall, I recommend this place for a tasty bite and a good atmosphere.
Excellent food, excellent service! Great experience every single time.
I had numerous samplings of everything and here's my take.... If you want to go somewhere where multiple people can satisfy their cravings and you can chat without being pushed out the door, then come here. If not, there are many places that make better chilaquiles ( not their strong suit) and better biscuits and gravy. Sidenote- Staff is very likeable, drinks are very yummy and they could afford to have more hot sauce.
Excellent food and service! Brenna and her team gave top notch service for our expanding dinner party. Beautiful inside and great downtown location.
Superb, excellent service thanks to the good staff they have on hand, thank you you guys.
I went to Black Sheep last week and wasn't impressed with the food. Came here for a redemption lunch and wasn't disappointed. I had the Philly sandwich special. I could have eaten two of them. So tasty. One thing about both locations, service is impeccable. Kudos.
The gluten free blueberry pancake was huge and delicious. Was soo excited about a safe place to eat GF, also ordered a skillet. Also fabulous! But had to wobble out. Lots of food. Highly recommend and when we are in town, we will come back!
Had dinner with a friend and accidentally left my credit card..came back Sunday to pick it up and had brunch with my family. It was amazing! Definitely will return!
Never been here before.Went to see Nicole Cawfield's art show on First Friday. Great around experience. Good food, great mixed drinks, and the staff top notch!Dog friendly as well is a big plus !! Will definitely be back!
Excellent food and service, but make sure you get here early on a weekend because there will be a line to get in!
The food and service were excellent. We have been hearing about the Farmhouse for quite some time, and always with great reviews, so we were not disappointed.
Nice atmosphere and food was great
Homemade from scratch peach cobbler. Get some !
Best brunch in KC by a long shot.
Charming and rustic. Service was friendly and prompt. Daily specials available. Food was delicious! I will definitely be back!
This place was fantastic. The food was put of this world delicious. The drinks were also great. The wait staff was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Kansas City.
I went here a couple weeks ago on a Wednesday. Which just so happened to be Burger night. Boy was I in for a surprise. We got there before Happy Hour ended and I got a Tank 7 at a very reasonable price. Then they told explained the menu to us. Essentially there were 3 burger options. Between our group of 4 we got all three. I think mine was the best. I got the Pork Belly. It came with, what I'm pretty sure was, a plum jam. Also the item comes with fries and a beer as well so quite a good deal on a great burger. My Fiance works near here and goes often and says the food is always top notch. Stop in (especially on a Wednesday) you will not be disappointed.
This place is awesome! The carrot cake French toast, corned beef hash (I'm normally not big on that), and chicken fried steak are so scrumptious!
One of the best breakfast/brunch places in the city. I have never had anything here I did not really enjoy.
Excellent fish and chips and tasty brew. Service was a bit slow, during peak business.
The food was delicious and our server Danny was outstanding and really added to the experience . I will definitely return to The Farmhouse.
Dont do carry out orders over the phone? But can come in and order from the bar. Makes zero sense. Guess lazy much?
Delicious food and lovely environment, friendly customer service.
Server so obnoxious and condescending that we ended up leaving. Told us to go to Denny's. Will sooner go there than go back to Farmhouse. Spoke with manager via phone who did seem incredibly concerned, but with this many places to eat in KC we will pass on this one.
The food and service was good. I ordered the steak for lunch, the serving sizes we're smaller than I expected on that particular dish, but overall the food tasted pretty good. My friends look like they had pretty good portions on their food. Apparently there hamburger buns were really well made. The steak was well-cooked, a little on the rare side. The atmosphere was good, and it allowed for fun conversation.
Great atmosphere and food!
Good food for meat lovers. Not for all pockets, but look for the special of the day.
Avoid this place prices are expensive for the quality of food . The server was very nice and did try to make things right. We went in for lunch just before 1100 we were told that we would have to wait to be seated till after 1100. and our order couldn’t be taken in till after 1100 I ordered an appetizer of cheese curds and a cheeseburger with an ice tea to drink. The best part of the meal was the tea, the cheese curds had about a 1/4 of an inch in undrained oil in the bottom of the bowl even the server said that it was gross. The cheeseburger was very undercooked to the point of bleeding, the fries were very oil soaked and soggy. The manager did give me a 10 percent discount for the food quality. With the discount my lunch bill was 27.00 There are much better places to eat in this area so avoid this one
Local Farm Fresh ingredients A must visit!
Small venue farm to table. Great atmosphere, surrounded by local art. Great service and even better food. Priced Right.
Great food and staff! We ordered breakfast & split a cinnamon roll... Which was huge and delicious! Will be going back for sure.
Love the seasonal menu here.
It was fantastic. Very quaint loved my steak salad. Affordably priced. We will visit again when we are in KC.
Huge let down. The internet really hyped this place up as the best brunch in Kansas City and we were really disappointed. The menu is very small and expensive. For a brunch place you would think there would be bottomless mimosas. I have the “Green Chilli” burrito- it was good but where is the green chili? They have this weird cream pepper sauce on top, kind of a sad excuse for “green chilli”. My fiancé had the biscuits and gravy and she said that it tastes like the color grey looks, and I agree. Huge let down, absolutely not the best brunch place in KC....
I love brunch at the farmhouse. All the food is amazing, but i can never pass up the corned beef and hash- so good!! French pressed coffee also a nice addition. If you don't have a reservation, put your name in and enjoy the local farmers market while you wait for your table on Saturday or Sunday mornings.
Good food, good service and good atmoshers
Great classic dishes served for dinner with farm fresh ingredients. They also serve a fantastic brunch!
A group of friends and I came here for dinner on my birthday. We just walked in and luckily didn't have to wait, we were kindly greeted and seated at a large table. Our drinks came quickly and were very good. I tried two different cocktails out of my usual realm and was pleasantly surprised. When our food came it was DELICIOUS. My husband said it best. It was "last meal ever" good. And to top it off they treated us to a champagne toast for my birthday (my best friend is pregnant and they got her sparkling ginger ale, how thoughtful!). I look forward to going back for brunch.
One of my favorite places in Kansas City, great brunch, fresh ingredients and great service. Definitely a place we recommend to friends and family when they visit.
Stopped in here on a Saturday am for brunch and it was everything I’d hoped it would be. I would recommend making reservations because after 10:30 there was a line at the door. I tried the Stuffed French Toast and it was excellent, and the Frittata that was served with seasoned potatoes and a salad. I would recommend both!
This place is amazing
Excellent place. Food was great. Service was very good
Always love what they have here. It's a surprise every time!
I've eaten at a lot of restaurants in Kansas City, and if I could give this place 6 stars, I would. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the food is almost an emotional experience. Make reservations or expect to wait. You literally cannot go wrong with anything on this menu.
Excellent food, great svcs, and very speedy
Waited last saturday morning to get a table and while there were many many empty tables we watched for a half an hour we never did get seated and just left as it appeared they did not have adequate staff and we could neither get coffee or a mimosa at the bar. Nice location needing a change.
Nice staff. Yummy coffee. Okay food. Dirty bathroom. Dirty dish. Ambiance and decor is confused and not enjoyable. Over priced- if it was super delicious It’d be fine. I’ve been here twice and pretty much done tryin.
This place is gorgeous. The food is delicious. I love supporting our local farmers and this restaurant does that to it's core. Oh and if anyone can ID this thing let me know so I know too. Thanks!
Great food and atmosphere. My wife and I had the kid's with us and even they loved it.
Yummy selection of fresh locally sourced food, served by courteous knowledgeable people. The old brick building with plank floors is charming, but chatter of enthusiastic diners reverberated off the hard surfaces which made it difficult to visit at a normal conversational level. The desserts are to die for! Chocolate lovers must try the flourless chocolate cake. Simply sinful. Parking at the city market area lots is free on the weekend, or take the trolley that goes right past this place.
The coffee is amazing, I would go there for the coffee alone. The food is also good, but the menu can be limited and leave you wanting more options. I tried a few different things and liked them, but didn't wow me compared to other cheaper places. I give 4 stars for the coffee, it's worth the visit.
How does food go from farm to fork? Does the produce skip the truck ride to the produce house to the truck ride to the kitchen to the cook? Does the beef skip the feed lot to the kill floor to the butcher to the distributor to the chef? Farm to fork is a lying advertising gimmick. Do not get fooled. The product is not any fresher then another place. They are not special because their menu has this claim.
Delicious brunch! I enjoyed the chicken fried steak and had grits instead of potato hash with mine. Excellent choice!
Beautiful atmosphere! My hubby and i went for our anniversary. They have great local foods that they purchase from local farmers! The service however needed to be better. It was a Friday night downtown and they only had 3 waiters and took us over 15 minutes to be officially greeted and our drink orders to be taken. Given that, the food and atmosphere we so nice that we will go again!
Very unique urban dining experience. Coffee served in a press, longer it sets stronger it gets. Menu items are good with a variety to choose from. Wait staff is attentive. Food comes out pretty quick even on a Saturday morning with quite the crowd. Full of regulars, this is the third time I have dined here. Eggs are always iffy. Not sure why. I had the biscuits and gravy. They are good not great. Other menu items to include the chicken fried steak came out excellent. This may be a restaurant where you have to try a few things before you will be completely satisfied.
Delicious breakfast Nd a nice atmosphere
Brunch here was the best experience! If I could give it 6 stars, I would. Great food, great staff, and even more fantastic ambiance. The mimosas were spectacular. Most definitely be here as often as you can. It does tend to get busy so make sure to make a reservation. Order everything and create your own buffet of delicious food.
This was an actual culinary experience for me. They do a weekly new plate every Thursday and it is definitely worth trying out!
Excellent, upscale and unique farm to table dishes. All eight in our party we're very pleased with each of the various dishes we ordered. The service and atmosphere are top tier. I can't say enough praise. Give the Farmhouse a try; you won't be disappointed!
Good food and atmosphere and our server (Nick) was great!
I had lunch here, and the farm-to-table food they served was truly delicious - just as if the produce had just been picked from the fields. I will certainly return.
The food is great here, especially the breakfast! They bring coffee in a French press and it's really fun. The cocktails are good too (but not for breakfast, probably).
Good food, but really slow service
Very unique urban dining experience. Coffee served in a press, longer it sets stronger it gets. Menu items are good with a variety to choose from. Wait staff is attentive. Food comes out pretty quick even on a Saturday morning with quite the crowd. Full of regulars, this is the third time I have dined here. Eggs are always iffy. Not sure why. I had the biscuits and gravy. They are good not great. Other menu items to include the chicken fried steak came out excellent. This may be a restaurant where you have to try a few things before you will be completely satisfied.
Some of the best food I have had at a restaurant in a while! The food was so fresh. All from local farms! Delicious! Wait staff was excellent. Highly recommend The Farmhouse
This place has a superb farm to table menu with great service. Their lunchtime burgers are amazing and reasonably priced. I asked the head chef about them and he gave credit to the great fresh beef, which you can taste in every bite.
I died when I ate the pumpkin spice french toast. died. so good.
It doesn't get much better than the Farmhouse in terms of a great meal in the River Market area. My one piece of advice would be to be sure to make a reservation as trying to pop in for a table during peak hours (breakfast or brunch) might require a lengthy wait for a table. The menu changes regularly but the coffee and bloody mary is always delicious!
Food was really good. Service was slow but they were nice.
Bar was kinda weak. Not a large selection of drinks and the Bartender wasn't not very knowledgeable about different alcoholic drinks but atmosphere was fun and inviting.
Great atmosphere. Food was great too.
The food is excellent but expensive. Overpriced. But Brunch is worth it.
Several times there. NEVER DISAPPOINTED!
Lovely food with farm to table flare.
This place is a gem. Honestly the best breakfast I have had in recent memory. I would wait for an hour for a taste of this food. I will be coming back again and again. Complements to the chef, everything my party had was perfect and tasted spectacular. Service was on point and the place was packed.
We waited over 30 mins to get our breakfast. Our waiter was polite but never acknowledged the fact that our food was really late getting to us just pretended it was normal. Don't think we will be back.
