Definitely middle of the road for coffee. Tried the chicken salad sandwich it was fresh and tasty. The neighborhood is nice with a good vibe. Juice bar next door and great place to grab a bike or walk.

Ordered the tree hugger it was yyuuugggeeee and delicious. Made to order. Topped it with their home made salsa has a kick but just a hint enough for the kids to enjoy. The coffee is great. Had a chocolate pie and a cheesecake both great. The music was enjoyable local musician plays at my daughters school. Over all a great experience definitely recommend.

Great local place. A touch cold inside, but coffee was fresh and they didn't seem to mind me hanging out for a couple of hours to get some work finished. Although I didn't get a chance to eat, everything coming from the kitchen smelled amazing.

The club sandwich is large and delicious and great price imo. The coffee specials are great price! I had the Samoan and it was delicious! All coffee specials come with two shots o' espresso and the 20 oz is only 5 bucks! I love the coffee shop and all the art inside!

Would have given a 0 if possible. Asked for a latte light foam. Made the exact opposite, all foam. When I asked if he could re-make it, the guy (owner) said no. I was surprised, so I asked for my money back. He opens the drawer and throws a 5 in my face. Funny thing is I had tipped him more than that. He then proceeded to tell me to get out and not come back. No wonder people dont shop local. No standards for customer service. Back to Starbucks.

Love the atmosphere, in fact, if i could sleep on a cot in the kitchen, i would. Great coffee. The guy even knows my order now. My only complaint, if i could make one, is that they dont have many gluten-free menu options but they aren't offended when i bring my own food in so, its not a problem. Their live music is amazing (most of the time).

Amazing Barrista and the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie is the best! The art they also showcase or put on consignment is so different than what you would see in Wichita traditionally. The vibe here is very mellow and relaxed. I enjoy coming here now and then and relaxing with friends or with my wife.

This is a fine, cute coffee shop in the Riverside part of Wichita. That fact coupled with the otherwise dearth of options gives this place an immediate four stars. The decent, but not incredible craft only girds up the four stars. But there is five star service, and that's always appreciated. I hope places like this thrive and keep the local economy rolling.

Arrived at R Coffeehouse before 10pm on a Friday planning to pick up a brownie or two and enjoy them with my date there or at home, only to be told they were closing. It was 9:52 when we got back in our car to leave, which is 1 hour before Google puts them at closing on a Friday night, and 2 hours before their own website puts them at closing. Very disappointed for personal reasons (the brownie was meant to be a celebratory nightcap), and extremely put off by the situation. We chose to go here rather than someplace else due to the advertised closing time of other dessert places, and will certainly not be choosing to do so again.

Stopped in for my first time to try their breakfast yesterday, we were greeted with live music and a friendly staff. I was very impressed by the Tree Hugger and Frida that we ordered. They have a great selection of local art for sale decorating their walls, and we even got a chance to meet with one of the artist. Great place, great atmosphere, great food!

A very nice place to hang out and catch up with friends, or stop by and watch a local perform. Off the beaten path and very a "hidden gem" type shop. The tables are large, making it very easy to do school work or any type of work that needs a lot of space.

This place used to have great food and coffee, but the food options last week were pretty awful, and my latte tasted like gas station coffee. The only thing that was halfway good was the pie, which I think they buy from another company. We spent $30 on just 2 sandwiches, one latte, and two pieces of pie. I probably won't go back.

Very cute and quaint Place. Went in for some poetry reading. Menu is extremely limited, and about 90% of it was not available. They ran out of most of their food and only two people were on staff. Kind of odd, probably won't go back.

One of the best coffee shops in Wichita! The coffee is always fresh (and hot). Has a great neighborhood feel. Sitting outside at one of the tables is a good spot to people-watch during the warm months. Local musicians frequently fill any time of day (and night) with a variety of tunes. They even sell some merchandise in their shop related to the community, and often have local art on display.

I just love R Coffeehouse! I go here when I am feeling Nostalgic and want a California corner experience right in the middle of Wichita. Its my peaceful place. Lots of wonderful musicians come here to play songs...the artists are alive and well..and the service is on point! Love the food...good vibes...and atmosphere! Love that the healthy option of songbird is right there ready and waiting. I love that there are a few other shops and choices in the area as well to give it that small town with in a town feel. I love the fact that our modeling group meets here once a month and gets to experience a little piece of Heaven on earth...

Great coffee house (literally)! I don't go here often, but when I do the experience is great. From meeting random new people, to the spontaneous live music which is really just like jam sessions, to just coming here to enjoy coffee, lunch, PIE and get some work done on the laptop or read a book. Very community driven, counter culture kind of coffee shop. I got the sense that it might be easy to not fit in (not as friendly as I expected) but that could have been me projecting. My Mayan mocha was pretty good. I bought some atole (meso American, corn based version of hot chocolate that's kind of like cream of wheat) there which was more expensive than I anticipated and wasn't very good when I made it (but hey, I tried it).

You come here for the people, not the coffee. Every time I visit, the coffee shop is packed with customers, both inside and out, conversing and having a great time. The coffee is delicious. It's PT's coffee from Topeka which is another great coffee shop that roasts their own coffee beans. The music is also very enjoyable. Jazz is the primary music selection, although there are nights for indie music as well. Great people, great coffee!

This place has good food on the weekends. We went looking for a strong, good cup of coffee. We ordered reg. coffee and then had an extra shot put in. My daughter ordered a waffle and received 1, for 7$. I think maybe 2 would have been more appropriate. However, they did offer vegan food so that was a plus.

One of my favorite places in Wichita. I have so many memories here. They have the coolest live performances on the regular, the best staff ever, and they serve up some of the best breakfast dishes. It's a short walk to The Keeper of the Plains and a shorter walk to the park from here. I spent entire days wandering around the area while sipping some hot tea from R. Seriously a great place. 5/5. 10/10. Two thumbs up.

R Coffeehouse is the hub for arts in Wichita. They have great coffee drinks, a menu of panini and cold sandwiches, seasonal soups and salads, and hot breakfasts on weekends. But wait, there's more! There's local art and craft items, and some fantastic musicians coming to play there. I've heard the best Latin, jazz, folk, ... a bit of everything. Music is usually going on weekends both day and evening hours. Casual and clean. Oh, and deserts.

Coffee has good flavor, but also smooth, and amazingly priced. Very friendly environment. Unique pastries that are all pretty excellent. The cheese cake is bomb. I wish they had a few more outlets. Hard to find a place to charge when busy. The big stools with the backs are hard to stay in, very slippery. Maybe need one of those giant bar things for you to put your feet on. Though completely worth giving it a try. One of my favorite places in the city.
