As you can see it reaches an opinions average is very high, and it is based on a large number of opinions, so we may think that the evaluation is quite reliable. If many people have bothered to value when they are pleased, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to put feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Coffee Shop is classified in the category of American restaurant.
Very Delicious but very pricey!! $72 for a family of 4 for the buffet plus drinks. Nice setting over looking the entire place on the top floor, but pricey. Very nice pleasant staff, the waitress was willing to a me a drink they don't serve on the menu, I like those flavored lemonades, so she made me a cherry lemonade using something from the bar, it was good! Pricey but good
We ordered off the menu after being seated with a great view at the mezzanine floor. Food was very delicious and served fast, though the dip for the sweet potato fries was a bit too sweet for me. The server allowed my sister to get a slab of bacon with her avocado toast and for my dad and I to get hot lemon water.
We really enjoyed our brunch here. Mimosas were a must for us and Harvey's staff made a great drink. They were very polite and checked in on us, but let us enjoy our meal at the same time. It's a great location, allowing some shopping and historical venturing after.
Vintage, classic, historic and delicious! The brunch here was really great. If you have a chance to eat here do it, you won't regret it.
The food is amazing. Hands down the best place to eat, especially for the price and quality of food.
A must visit place for brunch, especially their famous Easter and Mother's Day ones, this is a great spot for special occasions or just delicious ones. Epic location inside Union Station, you can start an awesome day here - fuel up, and walk or streetcar about town. It's as good as it gets for people watching, and the fiod and service stay high quality even in the craziest rushes. If you come when they're serving brown sugar bacon, pile as much on your plate as you can and get out of my way!
One of my favorite places to dine. Love union Station and the feel here at Harvey’s! Food is really good and everyone seems happy working here.
Average food but great atmosphere. Really enjoyed it.
Wonderful place for a casual luncheon with friends. Great food! Offers a stellar Sunday brunch!
Bomb staff, great food, serene atmosphere
Food was delicious, service was quick and the setting was nice. We were there early on a Saturday so there wasn't a wait but when we left there was a long line and Union station was filling up. Recommend going early.
My significant other and I had breakfast, butter not homemade. Check your microwave red potatoes ...mine were cold. Overall price was good for entree , bread and 1 side. OMELLET EXCELLENT AND MADE FRESH TO ORDER!
Great food and staff. My granddaughter loved the mac & cheese.
Update. My latest visit was not very good. Travis the waiter yelled at my group, a wedding party of around 40. Without the intervention of of waitress Lavere, I’m sure we would have exited the restaurant. Each visit can be different,so take this latest update as you will. ———earlier review-The food here is delicious. The service is great. They are attentive, super friendly, and very patient. There are a nice amount of options on the menu. The decor is awesome. Dining in the old ticket area of Union Station. This restaurant is right in the middle of the historic train depot. While eating you can take in all of the historic sights, and imagine that you are trying to grab a quick meal before boarding your train to New York.
I was planning to eat lunch after my child performed in the main hall... but not after the manager YELLED at me and told me I was being rude loud enough for everyone in the hall to hear him... several people around me told me I was not rude at all and his outburst was uncalled for.
They have the best dressing I've ever had at a restaurant. The portions are generous, the customer service is good and it's always clean. My Wife loves the baked fish. I'm not a regular meat eater but I've had the brisket and it was good.
We went for Sunday Brunch and had the buffet, we had a very long wait but the food was excellent !!!
Anniversary brunch. Worth the wait!
No need to explain..100% greatness except them stupid parking robo cops
Try to breakfast quesadilla. It does not disappoint.
Great food and super nice
A wonderful place to eat as you people watch.
As always our food was great, prices are reasonable and service fantastic.
The food at Harvey's is good, but it is not mind-blowing. Harvey's serves classic American food. To be completely honest, the flavors are a little lackluster. The food comes lacking seasoning. The service here is also just okay. However, for what it lacks in food, it makes up partially for the experience. It is very neat to sit in the middle of Union Station and watch the trains come in.
Love it had a nice time
Lovely place! There is a nice restaurant and little shops inside. If you park in the lot out front make sure you have cash to pay the meter.
The best place to take Mom on Mother's Day. Nice variety of brunch delights!
Excellent experience.
A hidden gem that I didn't expect. There food is awesome. Simple menu but cooked perfectly. Not crowded but a fun and enjoyable location especially if you get to sit up top and look out on Union station.
Love this place. Oodles of history, good food, with reasonable pricing. Correcting another reviewer: tables are CLEAN, not small (40 top?) and the staff functions at a high level. That "reviewer"(?) wasn't at this restaurant.
Very few places use "Wolfermans English Muffins" THIS is a must have w/ Eggs Benedict here! Ordered an Irish Coffee & Eggs Benedict........mmmmmmMMMMM Makes me want order another round of all that goodness RIGHT NOW. Staff was ALL on point, very hospital and attentive!
Great customer service!
Great quality food, good service, fair prices. Well priced buffet with a wide range of brunch foods. Special mention to the best bacon that's ever entered my mouth. It's so good it will motivate you to go on a low carb diet so you can eat more bacon at Harvey's without any significant detriment to your health. The atmosphere is historic and truly special. It's rare I give a restaurant an extra star for location and atmosphere but Harvey's earns it. Look at the pictures!
Can't beat the Sunday brunch!
This is an excellent place for brunch on Sundays! Great place to spot Chiefs and Royals players, too. Just be nice and let them enjoy their visit
Interesting seatin, great for people watching. The food is good just what you would expect from an upscale version of the iconic downtown ladies who do lunch themed Harvey's. It doesn't hurt that it is in Kansas City's Gateway to Prosperity Union Station.
Great atmosphere. Beautiful Union Station. Breakfast was great and reasonably priced.
We ordered lunch and was given a 20 minute wait. 20 minutes later we were asked what did we order? The order had not been placed, we requested a refund. By that time 30 minute lunch was over and still no food
Nice atmosphere, good food. Good service.
Best buffet I've ever eaten at
Great location in Union Station. Food and service are good.
We went for Saturday breakfast around 9. The food was hot and the portions were the perfect size. The only thing that would have knocked this rating up to five stars would have been if our server didnt seem like she hated life and all of those who came into contact with her.
I was recently at Harvey’s in union station. I have ordered food from there for my son everyday. When placing my order, I ordered a kids chicken tenders. The lady asked me if it was for me or a child. I told her it was for a kid. I came and picked up the food and went back to work to have lunch with my son (since school is out) Today when I went to pick up our order I was met by a man holding my food and Interrogating me about who the food is for. He basically called me a liar asking where my son was (he was next door) he also rudely told me to bring my son next time I come. I will never return to this establishment
Good food. Love the vibe. Frazzled staff because of grouchy customers
Awesome view of the Maker Faire going on and delicious buffet to eat. It was wonderful and if anything there was to much yummy stuff to even try it all.
I should of stayed home and opened a can of best choice soup... horrible horrible!!!!! It was like they just opened up a can of the best choice steak soup and dumped it into a fancy bowl.... it wasn’t even warm just room temperature.
The buffet just isn't worth it. Food is cold more often than it should be. The buffet food quality isn't that great either. Fried chicken was bad even for a buffet. Salad and dessert items were the best tasting part of the whole operation. Coffee was really good though. I recommend people either order off the menu or just go somewhere else because the price isn't justified anymore.
Nice place to chill
Excellent Sunday brunch. Service during the week day us great.
The looks & atmosphere are both great, I wish I would have ordered off menu, in sure it would have been hot & fresh. The Buffett food, just wasn't anything special. I eat small meals so paying 25 bucks for a plate of food I couldn't take home just isn't where I want to spend my money.
Food is always great. They seem to be under staffed which they address by not seating more customers than they can handle, despite having open tables. Once seated service is fine.
My wife had the crab Benedict and I had the salmon. Both had a perfectly runny egg and were very tasty. They were setting up the Sunday buffet and it looked to be a very good upscale buffet. Definitely not the cheapest meal in town, but for those that appreciate quality food, it’s a very good value.
Went for brunch buffet nothing major wrong it's really like a 3.5 star. Service was nice atmosphere is like being in a fish bowl. Fix choices were excellent but needed seasoning. The Apple crisp which is one of my favorite deserts was just to sweet.
Great food with a great setting
Food was great but service was lacking
Great breakfast. Excellent service. Nice to have an early spot downtown for breakfast
Surprisingly good. Nice spread of different selections for the Sunday brunch buffet. Would recommend coming earlier for the buffet when food is still hot and fresh. Ala carte salmon came looking like it was going to be all dried out and overcooked.. But it wasn't.. Nice crust on the outside but still tender and juicy inside.. Just like the accompanying potatoes. Soup of the day was tasty.. The fresh fruit substitute for the asparagus while mostly comprised of cantaloupe and honeydew.. The melon chunks were for most part ripe and sweet.. So kudos to Harvey's..
Great food and great service. Little pricey but was worth every penny!
Wonderful dinning experience inside Union Station.
Excellent food but don't go there and expect to be served in under 40 minutes.
Fantastic breakfast food!
The quality of food and atmosphere of this place in incredible, very inexpensive and the service is outstanding, have a very good variety of food, would definitely recommend eating here.
Love , love, love this place. Excellent food and service.
Very unique dining experience. We ate the brunch and the veriety and the quality of the food was exceptionally great. Service was good and the surrounding of Union Station was great. I highly recommend this place when in Kanas City.
Amazing food with great prices!
Good basic food. Had breakfast. Egg was perfectly cooked.
Great place to eat. Food servings and service is very good. Love this place.
We enjoyed the area and decided to stop here. It was definitely a great choice.
The last 2 visits the staff have been bordering on rude and seem not to care. The food is still good, but be aware you may be treated poorly to get it. Edit: I decided to go back and try one last time as I do enjoy the food. This time I was sat quickly but then waited for at least 5 mins before leaving as no one had spoken to me since I sat down. I wouldn’t go to Harvey’s expecting good service. If you can stomach being treated poorly then you may give it a try. Dropping my review from 2 stars to 1. For what the buffet costs, you need to do better Harvey’s.
Average at best. The menu sounds great, quality of food, not so much. Everything looked like it sat under a warmer for a long time. Definitely not worth the price and disappointing with the ambiance of Union Station. Service was not overly spectacular either. My husband thinks 3 stars is 2 too many.
Horrible service. Busy holiday Saturday and they are only seating half of their tables at most due to under staffing. Those lucky enough to get a table are wiaitng 45+ minutes for their food. Bad management
Fancy, yummy. Cool
Good food and the prices aren't too bad
Prompt service. Very clean. Wonderful food! Reasonable prices.
Great spinach salad, not overly sweet. The salmon was awesome too.
Wonderful staff! The wait was relatively short considering the business of the terminal and the time of day. A little pricy ($80 for 3 people), but we did get lunch and desert each. The view inside the terminal is authentic and makes for a very cozy dining atmosphere. I would definitely recommend!
Very nice staff and great food.
Excellent chicken & avocado club sandwich and sweet potato fries.
Wonderful Sunday brunch, reservations suggested.
Great food. Great atmosphere.
Check out the Harvey’s express if you’re on the go and need a quick bite. The view of union station inside is beautiful. Lots of excellent seating choices.
Absolutely love this place for a long time but sevice seems to be getting worse and this is the 3rd time our food was served cold. Hope they can work on a few things too keep a good place .
Great Ruben. Using short rib is a great twist
Being in Union Station which in itself is very great, Harvey's has great menu options and a staff that is very nice.
We enjoyed all the sites and the people watching at Harvey's in Union Station. They have a very nice luncheon menu and wine selections to choose from. A great place to kick back and relax when you visit Union Station.
I called to make a reservation and I was over talked the whole conversation and was told they were booked and he hung up on me. We have have always have had great service. But his lack of customer service makes me reconsider even going to Union Station.
Had lunch here on Saturday after seeing some exhibits. The KC classic was great, could litterally taste the smoky goodness before it reached my mouth. My wife had the crabcakes which tasted fresh and moist, which is rare when you are this far from an ocean. Overall, a great meal! Have had Sunday brunch buffet here before too, also awesome!
Maybe their food is better in the afternoon but avoid this restaurant for breakfast. Their coffee was watery, the poached eggs were over cooked and hard, and the service was slow. The mimosas were passable, which is why they got this second star, but but for the price I was expecting much more.
Excellent food and great atmosphere! Obviously, the architecture of Union Station contributes to that atmosphere but the furniture, staff, and restaurant design also play a large part. We went to their brunch buffet and really enjoyed it. Very wide selection of items and all were of high quality. The service was quick and attentive. We will absolutely come again when we're in the area.
Beautiful place.
Can't be beat brunch. Good location. Good food. Ask to he up stairs. Good view
Our server was incredibly unfriendly, which made our experience uncomfortable.
Food was great and staff was friendly
Shrimp Tacos and Chicken Quesadilla! Accompanied by fantastic service by our waitress Randi.
Delicious chicken and waffles! My son has a pancake which he loved and my husband got the challah French toast. Everything was yummy. We were a little too early for the breakfast buffet which we honestly didn't know about until we got there, but it looks amazing! Next time!
Ate here for lunch while visiting Union Station. The food was just ok; I was expecting much more based on their website. The website makes it seem more upscale and higher quality. We sat on the top level and had a nice view of the station. The atmosphere is nice and makes you feel like you are back in time, waiting on your train. However, our waiter was not a bundle of joy, but not terrible either. I ordered the pick two, half club car and the chili. The portion was very small, and I could tell them moment they set my plate down that my chili was cold, not even lukewarm. They did heat it up for me. Also every time our waiter brought us anything we asked for he would set it in the middle of the table instead of setting by the person who ordered...that is always weird and lazy to me. The menu is also very basic- nothing special. Overall our food wasn't terrible, just did not meet my expectations.
the suday brunch was the best ive ever had.
Seemed expensive but, portions were great!
Such a wonderful historical gem! Amazing food here! You have to visit here and eat here if you're in Kansas City, especially for breakfast! Oh and order the pancakes, you'll thank me later
Great atmosphere located inside and center of K.C. Union Station. Good food, great price and service was excellent. Enjoyed out visit and lunch there.
The menu here is mostly basic American diner fare with a few modern twists thrown in. Although there are a couple of intriguing options, the flavours of our meals fell flat. That made the somewhat elevated prices smart a bit more. Also, while or server was very nice there must have been a mix up somewhere along the line as our food came out after that of a couple tables who'd arrived after us. The atmosphere itself is really what we found special about Harvey's. The setting, open to the bustle of the station hall, is almost magical. We'll try it again someday and hope things come together. I would recommend it to others, while noting it has some shortcomings.
I had two meals from Harveys. The prices are reasonable. My club was a really good sandwich, loaded with meat, and very flavorful. However, my mac and cheese meal was flavorless. I actually had to add salt and more cheese when I got home so it would have some flavor. And the chicken was also unseasoned. I would have given them by stars if my mac and cheese head come out good.
Sunday brunch buffet is killer! I especially enjoy the prime rib. Coffee is fresh from Parisi (who has a location across the foyer).
If you are in Union Station, Harvey's is a must stop!
Great brunch... better atmosphere.
Order came out wrong several times. I have food allergies that I relayed to the staff. Still the order was had allergens in it. Got horribly sick afterwards. The food staff and waiters are completely incompetent. The food tastes like crappy diner fare. I’ll never go back. And recommend no one else goes. NOT WORTH IT.
We stopped here as part of our Union Station exoerience and were really disappointed. The service was okay, but our server never stopped by to see how we were doing. If he had, I would have told him he forgot my bacon. I also would have told him the cinnamon roll pancakes were dry and tasteless. They pretty much tasted like straight Bisquick with a tiny amount of powdered sugar glaze. Super disappointed. My husband's eggs Benedict was salty to the point of being almost inedible. We won't be back.
Pro tip: Take the free light rail to Union Station to avoid pricey parking. This is in the top one or two places for breakfast in Kansas City. The buffet is enormous if you have the appetite to make it worth your while. The service was excellent and I can see myself coming back many times. Get a seat on the second floor to enjoy a very unique view of the station. A great place to take visitors to the city or for a special occasion.
The buffet is legitimately great. Haven't been to a buffet like that since Vegas. I arrived before the buffet opened which caused some confusion, but the management went way out of their way to make me feel welcome. My kids were a disaster, spilling coffee and breaking a plate, but the staff took everything in stride showing solid professionalism. I'm not sure who he was but he was dressed as a chef, carried a plate up the stairs for my 7 year old daughter, I mean how nice and classy is that? Mini waffle bar, liquid chocolate to drizzle over ample desserts, prime rib, candied ham, smoked salmon, shrimp, vegetables and fruit galore, all the standard breakfast options were there too. Seriously it was closer to made to order than buffet quality. It could have been because I was there at ten, but then I guess that's the best time to go? PS left my Wife's thermos there, and the staff remembered me and got it very quickly!
Great food! Enjoy the breakfast very much before Chicago bound trains.
Apparently too inconvenient of us to ask to be seated in the top tier. Ended up across the street instead.
Went for the Sunday brunch buffet. Everything I tried was delicious and service was great. One slightly over-social chef but overall a great experience.
Oh.my.gosh you guys.... That Sunday buffet is
Seeing the dinosaurs moving and making noise was cool. The kids found it intresting.
I like taking my potential clients for lunch at Harvey's because the lunch menu has something for everyone and the atmosphere is impressive. I can count on the food being delicious consistently. I'm a reuben lover, and the reuben sandwich at Harvey's is the best.
Great and different food flavor for an out of town guest. Good local cuisine
This a must try. Food is great and very nice atmosphere. This is inside union station if like trains it a must see also. The service there is top notch.Hats off to the staff!
One of the best Holiday brunches around!
Great lunch experience twice. Very good food and great service. It's not cheap. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could.
The server was very rude right from the beginning. When my husband and I feel that maybe our server is not having a good day we try to make them smile. Being that the restaurant had just opened for lunch we just joked with her about having a bad day already. Her response was to tell us that she would see how the rest if the day went.
Food was what you expect. Price was slightly above average, but that is probably because of the location inside union station. Service was good.
So impressed with Harvey's! Chicken & Waffles was firah! Love that it's inside KC Union Station and can sit on the 2nd level, which gives an sophisticated feel to your dining experience
Brunch Bar was amazing
The price was about what I expected. The food was good. Our server was nice. But it was very slow. My wife ordered a French Dip, and I ordered a Rueben and it took more than 45 minutes to get our sandwiches. They weren't exceedingly busy when we arrived a little after 11:30 am. It wouldn't have been so bad but we had a 1:00 appointment over in Crown Center and in order to get there on time we really didn't have time to enjoy our sandwiches.
Harveys has been hit or miss for me. Today was a hit. Two of us went for breakfast, hoping for the buffet but it didnt start until 10, which wasn't on the website. We were seated after a bit of a wait. My omelet was delicious, the home fries good and the service was excellent. Other times I've been there service eas spotty and the food ok. Would go back again.
Great place for Sunday breakfast. Suggest asking for table on the upper deck for great people watching. Food is delicious & not expensive.
Wonderful place to eat! First time there. We sat on the top level with a beautiful view of our surroundings. Oh, and my fish tacos were wonderful, and everyone said their food was good also. I would go back.
Great food and service in a beautiful historic setting
Food was amazing and our server Jessica was the best!
Union Station is an elegant place, and Harvey's fits in with the ambiance. It's an open to the building restaurant with a loft for people watching. The decor is dark wood with white linens, which fits the old money atmosphere. The food lives up to the decor. I had their oatmeal breakfast, a simple dish of steel cut oats, brown sugar, berry compote, and sweet cream. Simple, but delicious. I am looking forward to eating there again.
They served 21 of us quickly and fully in an hour! Service was amazing, food delicious, and atmosphere perfect! Highly recommend and make reservations! Portions huge for the price...bowl of soup, $6, side ceasar salad, $4.
Breakfast was okay. They sat us upstairs. Service was very slow and they were not busy. Every time we asked for something it took several minutes to get. Not impressed. Will not be returning.
Very good. Had the club. Was quite impressed. Lunch did take a while to get out though so might want to call ahead or get their early
Nice place to grab a bite before seeing the IMAX or sight seeing.
Wonderful atmosphere, great seating esp on top floor, tasty food & good service.
Great customer service
The food is ALWAYS fresh, hot and most of all DELICIOUS!!!!
Buffett was awesome
Visit this classic train station but don’t forget to have lunch at Harvey’s. Our waitress was very nice and patient with us. The food was great and so is the location of the restaurant. You will feel what the peoples of the past felt while sitting at Harvey’s waiting for your train. I highly recommend Harvey’s
Pretty good food at lunchtime, but nothing terribly special. The ambiance is extremely unique and fun.
Sunday brunch is great. There is something for everyone, salmon, fried chicken, carving station, and an impressive dessert spread.
Very fun lunch spot, with outstanding service! The prices are very reasonable for the kind of ambiance and service received, which is hard to find! It feels like a very fancy place, without charging ridiculous fancy restaurant pricing.
Tasty food, good service, nice atmosphere. In a gorgeous building. This is a nice spot to have lunch while you check out Union Station.
The buffet was amazing just what I needed for a Sunday brunch
Best breakfast in a long time! Can’t say enough about the food - quantity, quality and price were far above the normal bar. My wife loved the crispy thick cut bacon and one of the flakiest biscuits she’d had. The owner was so friendly and even followed us into the Great Hall to give us some of the home made deserts from the brunch buffet they were preparing. They are delicious! We’ll be back for brunch some day if the breakfast is any indication!
Great brunch. Beautiful friendly staff.
Great breakfast and wonderful ambiance!
Good service, manager was invested in ensuring customer satisfaction. Little ones loved coloring on the table (paper) while taking in all the excitement going on in union station during the holiday season.
