I'm in Kansas City for work, for a month, sent by my company. Our group stopped in to Cheddar's when we saw it in passing after leaving work. Great food, 92% made from scratch! Very reasonable pricing. We will definitely be going here again!

Love the food. The service is great. Usually a wait every time we go. My only complaint would be the difficulty of placing a to go order.. I was placed on hold for literally 20 minutes before I hung up. I went up there to place my order with the bar and was ignored. So we left. We love the place as long as we dont sit on the bar side or try and place a to go order

Compared to when we ate at the Liberty location, it was like night and day. The salmon, rice & broccoli was perfect... but nothing was at the OP MALL locale. The waitress didn't offer to make it right either. Very disappointed!

Cheddar's is always a really nice place to eat. The service is good. The food is good. The prices are reasonable. They typically have a wait it seems like at peak times, but never anything outrageous. I love the Monte Cristo, but the Buffalo Chicken Wrapper is good too. It's hard to go wrong really. The bathrooms are amazing!

First time going to one of these establishments, which i do recommend this restaurant but I don't feel I will return. the setting is nice, the workers are nice and the food was good. But what made my review a 1 star is that my food wasn't fully cooked. I ordered chicken tenders, got to the last bit of my plate and saw that the chicken was a little pink and not fully cooked. Which I know this can happen, but for me it ruins my experience and I didn't complain to get a free meals but I do want them to ensure their food is complete. Overall this restaurant was nice.

Got here at opening and only 3 tables were filled. after 30 mins of no food...it all showed up ice cold. Had to have it all remade. Ar over an hour new food showed up and my well done steak was ice cold and bloody in the middle. No apologies from waitress and never saw her until we were ready to leave. Very disappointing service and food quality.

Late Tuesday evening. Had to wait about 45 minutes for food after ordering. My steak was severely overcooked to the point of jerky; my cool food was room temperature: my warm food was cold. I told the waiter my food was not good; he laughed as he cleared the table. I had to ask for the Manager twice before he showed. Been here often before with satisfaction. I hope the entire restaurant was having an off night and this is not their service style.

The lighter side 6 oz top sirloin, cooked perfect, great flavor. Baked potatoe hot and loaded. Salad with the fresh bake croissants whoa! 5 stars all around this time, including service!

Comfort food that was perfect for a Sunday night! My waitress was kind & attentive, the food was good. Only thing I would offer is either a bit of gravy for the homestyle mashed potatoes or a dob of butter or the tomato glaze sauce. But the meatloaf rocks!! It was so moist, perfectly done and sliced exactly right (not too thick or thin). If you like broccoli cheese casserole you'll like this one too!

Literally the best restaurant I've ever been too, it is pretty pricey, but worth it, the food is amazing. The decorations are very beautiful, but this is the kind of restaurant to dress up, so no shorts and T-shirts!

Always a good spot to go for food. They have plenty of options for those with gluten allergies and if you look online they have the break down of how to make more entrees gluten free. My go to is always the lemon pepper chicken or the chicken fried chicken. The restrooms are always clean and are that of an upscale dining establishment rather than that of most casual dining locations.

Service is pretty bad here, been here couple times in the past before they changed the menu and management. Food is pretty good , but waiting staff is horrible along with the hostess. They just walk right past you not saying anything. We sat at our table for 20 minutes before the waitress came over. Wasn't busy at all. It was weird how the appetizer we ordered came out with our regular food instead of before. This situation has happened on two separate occasions. It's kind of disappointing, more than likely I wont return to this place.

Took an hour to seat 8 of us even though they were basically empty. Food took a long time and they almost forgot one meal so it came out when everyone else was finishing up. The gentleman who I believe was the manager was rude and very unprofessional to employees and guests. The only reason they get a 3 is because the food was good.

I was sorely disappointed. Food took forever to come out, over an hour. Server kept forgetting to bring out what we ordered. The croissants were raw inside. The salad was soggy, the meatloaf was soggy, the green beans were way overcooked to the point they looked translucent. I sent that back and ordered a medium steak. When that came out I knew immediately before cutting it that it wasn't cooked enough and once I cut in I confirmed that it was rare. I asked for a manager and she didn't ask me for any way to make up for it, just said sorry and left the plate in front of me and walked away. I'd put zero stars but unfortunately that's not an option.

Service was terrible. Took over 10 minutes for our waters and received our salads at the same time as our meals. The salads were also the wrong kind. Though, the entrees did come out timely. Had to flag down a host and she immediately asked if we wanted to speak to the manager. The manager was LOVELY. After a meal of everything going wrong, she basically just took us on as her table and we only saw the other guy after she dropped off our check. The manager fixed our ticket and gave us a 20% off discount, which we were very thankful for. She said that the guy was new, but even with that he was extremely rude, impersonal, and inattentive. Overall, everything (from host to manager to food) was great except for our server who ruined our whole experience.

Great service!! Our waitress was very attentive. She had been there 9yrs. She helped us with the menu. I ordered the white fish blackened. My wife ordered the chicken fried steak. Both were above standard. All around I would go back and ask for the same waitress. I will post her name shortly.

Was not very impressed. We came in the evening shortly after 6. We were told when we first arrived it would b a 20-25 minute wait. After 25 minutes we went to check in and the, I guess, manager told us we were way misquoted and it would b 30 more minutes. While we waiting at any given time we could see anywhere from 4 to as many as 11 empty tables. Only one person was clearing tables and most of the staff moved at a very leisure pace. Once we finally got seated we ordered and appetizer and salads my salad came with a long black hair in it. It was barely more than warm in there. I kept my winter coat on the entire time. The main meal was decent but it seemed to be under poor management and I probably will not go back

The food is always very good. The prices are crazy reasonable for the portion size. The atmosphere is very casual and cozy. The main dining area is TV free, but the bar area does have a few TVs.

Cheddar's does what more places should. Skip the endless advertisements about this and that gimmick meal, and just makes great food. I've never had a bad meal here, and the staff are always very friendly and attentive. Wait times can be long here, but it's only because they truly are good at what they do. I've stopped going to other chains like AppleBee's and Olive Garden because they are terrible once you've had Cheddars.

I went with a small group of ladies, worst experience I've had in awhile. The manager "Joe" was unbelievably rude when we mentioned that not one but 5 of our 7 meals were cold and gross. Three of us ordered broccoli and it came out brown. One of our meals was cold when it came out. I will definitely not be going back.

The photo of my "Chicken Alfredo" says it all. Weird noodles, sauce was flavorless and watery with whole cooked baby carrots. It's basically impossible to screw up this dish, so I thought it would be safe... But no. Please, if you value your life, don't order that. But I gave them a 3 star rating because the person I was with enjoyed their food.

Very dissatisfied!. Very dangerous and embarrassing outing ever. I actually was eating in part of a broken plate along with my wife. They did a incident report and reached out to me once and a week later after contacting another related office who started they would call me Monday..no word. They also got our bill mixed up. All of this in front of guest from out of town. I will make my fourth and final reach out to this establishment before attorneys reach out to them. Not only did they not take care of the bill they only offered a small discount and a new order of doing dip. I have read the reviews of this place going down hill. Now I know!

My wife and I visited here for the first time in probably 8 years with our granddaughter who was visiting from out of town. Nothing has changed on the inside that I noticed (that's fine, it's a nice place) and we had almost no wait, which was surprising as we have always had to wait in the past and would gladly do so! Unfortunately, the food quality was nowhere near what it used to be, so that was disappointing and the reason for our "just average" rating, but it's also possible it was just a fluke on this one visit. We'll give it another shot one of these days and update this review accordingly. Don't rely on our 1 visit in 8 years though because historically, it's been great. Please go and try for yourself and let us know what you think!

Rude host. Took over 40min for our appetizers and over a hour for our food. Host didn't follow up with us to let us know what was going on. Everyone else was being treated so much better who had his tables and got their food before us when we were there before them and we spent a lot of money there. We should of just gone to McDonald's. Would of had better service.

X Our meals were delicious, the service is good to very good, prices were very fair, and the restaurant was very clean. My only concern is the wait time before getting seated as this is a very popular restaurant; we only had a 25-minute or less wait, however I noticed when we were seated there was at least 8 or more empty tables in the area we were seated. Personally I think it would be a better idea to have your patrons seated and provided with menus and water etc and explain to them it'll be a few minutes before you can take their order as opposed to having them sit in The limited waiting area and outside the restaurant. It took less than five or six minutes to receive our food after we ordered and given everything is made from scratch at this restaurant which is a big plus, it makes even less sense patrons had to sit in the waiting area and outside.

This place has gone downhill from when I first went. The floors were filthy, my fiance went to sit in a chair and there was salsa smeared on it with a dirty napkin laying by it, my menu was super sticky, and the service was pretty poor, especially the hostesses up front who once asked how many of us, left us standing there awkwardly while they sat two other people and then just stood there. I heard the new manager talking to the table next to us, saying he transferred there and has only been there for 3 weeks so far, and I'm really hoping his goal is to turn it around, but by the way it looked and him walking around, it wasn't getting done.

DO NOT eat here! Sent our food back twice because it was cooked that poorly. The salmon was fishy tasting both times and unseasoned - even though the cooks sent it back to us telling us it WAS blackened. The steak was the worst cut of meat both times, grossly under seasoned and tasted like I boiled it in a dirty pan. I still have the oily film in the roof of my mouth 2 hours later. The reason it is 2 stars and not 1 is because of the staff. The bartender squared us away, she was AMAZING!!! And the manager came over and took great care of us, was highly apologetic and comped the entire meal. I dont blame either of them. But there seems to be a serious problem in this kitchen. We appreciate the stellar service of the bartender and manager but we will not be eating here ever again. Worst restaurant food in Kansas City hands down.

seriously the worst experience ive ever had a Cheddars highly disappointed. It was bad from the start. Waiter didnt know he had our table so 15 mins went by with no drink order. Finally ordered drinks and croissants which are our favorite. Ordered 3 soups,salad,and country fried chicken with loaded mashed and sweet baby carrots. Croissants came out hard as a rock. The potatoes were cold and not loaded and the carrots were shriveled up cold nasty chicken was cold sent both back got carrots back even more shriveled and no chicken. Asked a manager about the soups and salad. My salad came. Ten minutes later one soup came out stone cold. still no chicken. Another ten minutes 1 soup comes out. Still missing 2 soups and chicken dinner. We finally said we are done and we left no food and had to go somewhere else for dinner. Not happy at all and they weren't busy. We wont be back PS we were there for almost 2 hrs

I love the blackened salmon and shrimp. The main course was great, but the sides are okay. Sweet baby carrots are overly cooked, the coleslaw was like a dessert more sweet than savory. The house salad is great good portion Cheddars has the lightest, airy croissants drizzled in honey butter. We also got the ribs that where drenched in more grease than barbecue sauce. Becoming less of my favorite restaurant with every return. Also the chocolates cake with ice cream is huge! But a bit dry in my opinion. I've becoming here for over 7 years now.

On Saturday, May 25, we went to the Cheddars at 11865 W 95th St, Overland Park, KS (around 4:00 pm). We had TERRIBLE service. Our waiter was also the bartender and his attention was split several ways. As a result, the service was slow. We he brought my wife's salad, there was no fork. He explained that the dishwasher was falling behind. So my wife started to pick at her salad using her fingers. She didn't get a fork until 10 minutes later. When it came time to leave we had to hunt down our waiter to get our check, then hunt him down again to get the "to-go" drink we had requested. We've been at this restaurant before and the service was fine. I suspect that this restaurant's management is trying to save money by going very short on it's server staff. I doubt we'll go back.

First of all when I walked in the music was so loud you couldn't even hear what the hostess was saying! I said I cannot hear you because of the loud music and told him I was not staying because of the loud music, all he said was "yes it is loud" The worst part of this was my husband went into the restroom and there was Urine all over the floor in front of the stool and unfortunately the urine got all over his shorts! So needless to say we will never go there again!

The food was good, the menu for allergies is very strange. While eating the fish I had ordered, I found a long hair that had been baked into it. I lost my appetite at that moment. They offered to make another plate. I declined. They gave me my meal for free.

Great food. Fair price I would give a 5 star but the waiter/bartender (this is not on him) , shift ended great guy....but no one picked up where he left off I mean I had to track a manager down just to get a check. Management was friendly but very busy and seemed like she had more on her hands that just me. Response to take car of a customer was less important and being traffic cop ,because her employees had no go or drive. Big difference in the A.M. shift and the P.M. shift.

We were placed quickly..but service was very poor..ordered appetizers and drinks.. appetizers came 30 min after ordering..then when appetizer was completed..waitress left plates on the table...it was discovered that water was on the floor under the table..had to ask several times for a towel or napkin..drinks finally came right before dinner was served. Thought they forgot..Just really poor service.☹☹☹ Had to ask for silverware for everyone at the table. I could go on, but why bother.

We waited over an hour for a seat for our party of 12, just for them to split us into 2 separate booths across the aisle from one another. Service sucked. Waited over 30 minutes for drinks from the bar before our whole party was even there. Some in our party ordered croissants before their meal, that never came out, their food came out and they told us it would be 45 more minutes for the croissants. The music was super loud, so the server had a few of us write our orders down, and they were still wrong. I pointed out that the sides on my plate were wrong, and the server tried to argue...i was like lady...i wrote it down for you! My boyfriends steak was ordered med well and came out med rare. He never got the steak sauce he asked for, so actually ended up not eating at all because his sides tasted so bland they could have blended them and put them in a Gerber baby food jar. Anyways...the point is, DONT GO! Save your time and money.

The food was excellent except for the green beans which were half onions. The server we had named Joshua was Excellent.

Normally one of our favorite places. Not a fan of changed menu. Changed prices. Not all entrees come w 2 sides anymore. They will always have the best spinach dip around, but not sure if we would return for anything else on the menu.

Eh. It's ok there. I had a chicken pot pie that was pretty good. As for my side I asked for sweet baby carrots that were no kidding had to have been 2 weeks old. They were completely wrinkled and had a taffy consistency. Yuck!

After hearing people tell me I should eat here, my husband and I decided to try it. The food was a little above average but it certainly wasn't anything spectacular. I had the salmon and found it to be good. The menu was comprised of mostly fried food. There weren't too many options to choose from that didn't scream "heart attack". I probably won't be back based on that alone. It seemed to be geared towards people that don't really care what they eat.

Table we had was poorly cleaned, chair had liquid on it, hostis was showen, still present when we left. The menu we were given was not very clean. The place was out of limonade at 5:00 p.m. on a Friday nite. Service needed improvement as did the temp of the food.

Waitress was rude. Threw plates, slammed down drinks (after waiting 15min to get), slammed down sauce bottle and etc. 8oz steak was 6oz. Meats not cooked to order. Steak didn't taste like steak and ribeye tasted worse than liver. Doesn't include issues with veggies. I was so excited to go that my other two family members went. Wichita's was so awesome I couldn't imagine anything less. We did get another waitress who was polite after food served. Just sad...spent over $70 for three awful meals and 3/4 time bad service. Suggest eat at own risk...better chance at spinning the bottle.

Nice decor including a large fish tank you can watch while you are waiting for a table. Most meals come with a delicious, sweet croissant. Prices are very reasonable. There is a large variety of foods and side dishes. Service is good and friendly.

Now if i pick up after my family and stack the dirty plates and silverware put it close to the edge of the table, And it sits there for 20 min while im still waiting for my dessert. (No team work system when 2 other servers are standing behind my booth visiting and others walk by with nothing in their hands...) Hubby finally gets his dessert and the entire thing looked like it sat under a heat lamp the whole time(whip cream was melted) soggy and not very good. Still havent got mine was td it would be another min. I still had not gotten a refill on my soda. Another 5 to 10 min later still no dessert. We had to stop our server and ask her for our bill and cancel our 2nd dessert... Then wait another 5-10 min for that to come out to pay for our meal. My hubby said "hopefully they close soon so we can get going" It also grossed me out was when we got out meal another sever dropped a dressing by us and it splattered all over the floor and wall. He said "that sucks" and continued on" he never cleaned it up. A female server did... while we was waiting for out check. Food was decent but ive never had such horrible service before. Everything was fine up until we got our main dish then we were gotten about. I seen people who sat after us leave before us. We were there for 2 hours! Not including our short 10 min wait to be seated(totally fine) I honestly do not recomend eating here.

Wow where do I start. First the place is dirty table & chairs were sticky floor had food under our table. Food is just tossed on the plate no rhyme or reason. We we're served our food but didn't have napkins or silverware. Asked waitress to bring them she never did asked another server and he brought them. Baby screaming in the background somewhere really made my experience that much better.
