I was SO impressed with this little cafe at the Botanical Garden Center. Healthy and fresh options. Cauliflower soup was creamy and delicious and the fresh peach salad was a perfect summer lunch! The service was slow but it was worth the wait.

Wonderful place to eat in a phenomenal location - especially on a winter day. The hours are unique, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, so plan ahead for that. The menu changes every month to reflect seasonality and local ingredients, so it is always a uniquely delicious experience every time I am there. Save room for dessert!!

Took my mom here for an early mother’s day lunch. Had the beef veggie soup and Tarragon Chicken Salad. The soup was good no doubt ,but the salad was superb. Presentation was on point as well. Had a French 75 cocktail and it was yummy. Service was great. Definitely will go back.

This restaurant used to be top-notch. You used have to wait in line to get a table . The last two times, it has been very easy to get a table, and I can see why. I ate here twice within a two-week period Both meals were visually appealing , but I ended up with nausea and upset stomach all afternoon after both meals. I wanted to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt as I have been eating here for years. But, even though I had different meals at each visit, the seasonings apparently are used on every dish they made. The food Did not taste good, and as I said, created intense discomfort for several hours after eating. They used too much garlic and the other seasonings were not recognizable. I will not be going back.

Our daughter's mother-in-law hosted a beautiful rehearsal dinner at Trellis in early September 2017. From the FAB FOOD to the gorgeous setting - everyone loved it! We had beautiful weather to sit both in and outdoors which made the venue seem ultra flexible! Small venue, hip vibe. You are going to want to have an event here soon!!!

Came here due to Restaurant Week advertising. Seating was easy, service was okay; the waitress didn't know about the Restaurant Week menu until it was inquired. The setting was beautiful and professional. I liked that they had a different menu each month, as it would give you a reason to return to try out the new dishes. You could sit outside and see the aquatic plants or inside with cozy lighting. Food was great! I left satisfied.

The food and service is sooooooo good!!!!!! I had to take a second dessert to go. Amazing outdoor patio over looking the outdoor ponds with the city skyline in the background. It seriously doesn’t get better than this. But... then it did. My server was a...maz....amazing!! This is definitely going to be on my list of must dos when I visit Des Moines. Note: it’s a bit confusing getting here but totally worth the navigating.

The food was absolutely delicious. I had the beef bourguinogn. The kids menu is appropriate and approved by a picky eater. I definitely recommend this place for a relaxing lunch.

The restaurant has a cafe bar and tables. When my husband and I walked in for lunch we stood at the counter where the menu was and the cashier told us to take a seat and they would take our order. We sat and another customer came in and hey took their order right away. We were very frustrated and wondering why they did this. We continued to wait about 10 more minutes before we were fed up (no pun intended) and left! We took our business elsewhere!
