This is my absolute favorite coffee shop and cafe to visit! I choose to come here almost daily and spend time with my friends. I highly recommend it to anyone living in town or just passing through. If you want an amazing coffee or meal, The Fruited Plain is the best place to go!

The coffee is reasonably priced, the atmosphere is a perfect balance between old and new, the coffee and espresso is great and the staff are very knowledgeable. It's the perfect place to get either a great imported beer or a warm latte, or BOTH! Don't be afraid to ask the staff for help either, they know how to recommend something great for whatever your preference.

Has the coffee shop atmosphere, but the building isn't kept up that well and selection is smaller than other places. Every once in a while they have live bands playing in the back that are pretty good, usually really loud but good.

The flatbread pizzas were really good but the service was uninspiring. Had to ask for water pitcher to be refilled twice, didn't get silverware, and it took quite a while to get our food. Kind of the laid back atmosphere you come to expect from the Fruited Plain.

Love this coffee shop. Service is great. The flat bread pizza is delicious! They have coffees, beers, and a seelction of wines. They have other food options as well, but the pizza is the way to go. Cozy atmosphere and plenty of seating. Really charming place for small town Iowa, could call it a "hole in the wall" sort of place.

The food was very tasty and you could tell it had been made from fresh ingredients. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Would recommend the flat bread. The artichoke dip was good as well and I loved the option of crackers and bread. A load of farm fresh eggs was also brought in while we were eating. It just added to the atmosphere of small town cafe.

I went for their spaghetti and meatball special on Wednesday with a friend and we both liked it! There was more than enough on the plate to finish and the atmosphere couldn’t have been much better. I was happy with the price especially considering the amount of good food.

Good folks here making tasty espresso and purveying bottled/canned beers as well as wines. The storefront is quite cozy and warm with cool maps and a globe to play with. There's a corner for small kids to be with some toys and the like. On occasion they have live music and an area to sit outside.
