The place is great. Had a home style feel to it. The wait Staff was kind and very professional. Prices may seem like a lot on the menu, but you will not be disappointed on the portion sizes nor of the fact that the food is pretty much hand made. My only grip was that the food seemed a little bland. I will definitely go back and take some friends with me.

Food was great. I had a 10-15 minute wait because they were switching from breakfast to lunch. However, the food was good so it was worth the wait. I had the Machine Shed Burger and the Apple Dumpling with icecream for dessert. The staff were friendly as well. The feel of the place reminded me of Cracker Barrel.

the beef brisket was cooked to Perfection it was so soft tender moist and smoked for 18 hours I couldn't have asked for a better dinner than coming here on a Friday night the atmosphere and environment was amazing the service here was outstanding five star service. Breezy was are server. She did a fantastic job. I will definitely be back and I'm bringing my family and friends to try it.

We are at the Machine Shed for the first time today in Davenport. The food was good and the atmosphere was nice. When the waiter brought our bill I see for a measly 8 or 10 ounce glass of tea and Pepsi was $3.29 each. Shame on you for stealing from your patrons Machine Shed. We would really like to try the breakfast but don't want to buy a pound of coffee only to get a cup of it. Very disappointed in the prices therefore only worthy of 2 stars.

Food is phenomenal. I am not partial to the atmosphere but it's family orientated. Mayne I just prefer modern atmospheres, but the food is unquestionable worth the value. Portions and quality, which is rare.

We came rolling in around 7:30pm with a big group of 30 after a baseball tournament, half of them being crazy ambitious 11 year olds!! Our fantastic waitresses worked together and did such an amazing job. They were quick, accurate, so very polite. They did so well with the kids too!! To top it off the food was absolutely amazing!! A large group like us is never an easy task and they did great with big smiles on their faces. We will definitely be back!!!!!

Amazing food, best I've had in a long time. A lot of food for what you pay for especially bringing the bread and spiced apples before the meal. Not much of a pork person but their trio is tops in my book. Homestyle, country/farmhouse setting and awesome staff all around. It's like Cracker Barrel amped up with creatine and Iowa's farm history. It's definitely a must try if in the Quad Cities.

It's my BIRTHDAY!! Machine Shed is always a treat for me!! I was able to get a table for 12 so we could all visit with each other. The food is great!! They serve family style choice of fried apples, cottage cheese or coleslaw and homemade bread. There was 4 of us with Christmas birthdays. They gave to us free choice between apple dumpling or piece of pie. It was a great time!! I've always said, if you see a full parking lot and a wait time for a table, you know everybody else knows about the great food. Expect a crowd and if you have a large crowd, get reservations!! ENJOY!

Great meal, excellent service. 6 of us were sat in under a 30 minute wait. I had the chicken fried steak which was very good, everyone loved the warm cinnamon apples (family style). Ordered a bread pudding for dessert. It was big enough to split between 3 people.

We always try to stop here as we drive cross country. It has excellent homestyle food. All Tables Served with coleslaw, cottage cheese and or baked apples as a free accompaniment to your meal. Most meals just under $20. Great service. Clean. It is a restaurant dedicated to the American farmer so the menu has things like roast pork loin with mashed potatoes & gravy. In fact they have pork served many different ways. My favorite is the glazed stuffed pork chop. To die for!!! Don't pass this place up!

This was our 2nd time here. We enjoyed it so much the 1st time that we had toake another stop when in the area. I wasn't too impressed with the salad bar, as it was pretty empty for most of our visit there but the French onion soup was amazing!! My SO had a huge burger and said it was delicious as well! It's a nice restaurant with a farmhand setting and nice little gift shop. Totally worth a stop.

Loved it! Tractors, waitresses in bibs and home cooking. Our waitress was superb! Fruit was fresh, food was hot and I never saw the bottom of my tea glass. Prices are in the mid range around $10 a plate. Loved their burgers and fries. Portions are huge!

Another icon slowly sinking toward mediocrity. Our dinners were dry, overcooked, and largely flavorless. The coleslaw was curiously vinegary, rather than sweet and creamy. The service was brusque.

Not one, but two bus loads of people were dropped off but ahead of our entering the building. This caused a 30 minute wait. It also caused us to receive very poor service. The place is designed to be a restaurant, not a banquet hall. If the Machine Shed Restaurant is going to increase their business in this manner, they should build and staff a separate banquet hall. I have visited this restaurant many times over the years. It's literally always the top favorite on my list. I was horribly disappointed on this most recent visit.

My experience was amazing. My waiter Katie was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.!! I highly recommend her to anyone that comes here. She was so nice and sweet. She had conversation with us and made us feel welcome. This restaurant is also highly recommended to anyone. I would come all the way down here which is a 5 hour drive just to go to this restaurant and have Katie as my waiter.

Don't go after 8pm on a Saturday. Stood by the hostess desk, finally had to ask if the dining room was still open. Was seated in an alcove, away from the main dining room and was totally ignored. After about 5 minutes I went to the front desk and asked to order to go. Potato skins and soup. It was fixed quickly and I asked for utensils. I got back to the hotel room and no spoon. Normally I have a wonderful experience but not today. And no compensation was offered.

It was just okay because it was so loud in there the food that was presented to me as their special really left a lot to be desired the way it looked the best tasting part of the entire meal was the salad. The chicken breast was so dry and burned and the vegetable medley that was served with it was also burned it was an experience I really don't want to have again but if you're really hungry and don't mind spending $11 pretending you're a Greek god and getting a burnt offering I would set go to the Machine Shed

This place is great with a staff that is very nice and attentive. The food is very tasty and big portions. I had the burger that was a combination of brisket and hamburger along with a fried cheddar cheese appetizer. It was as good as it gets. I wanted to have dessert but there was just no room. The decor kept looking around and an excuse to people watch.

This place was recommended to us on our way back home from Nebraska. We didnt realize they were a breakfast lunch place and we got their close to closing and they were very friendly and sat us down. The server was so nice. The food was great. The portions were huge. It was perfect because we had our leftovers for dinner after our long ride home to Chicago. The theme is similar to Cracker Barrel except smaller. Food is more home cooking style. Chicken soup was Really Good.

Right off of Interstate 80 in Davenport Iowa. If your hungry and can eat a lot, this is your place. Very clean. Great food with big portions. Last time I was there I had biscuits and gravy, two eggs and a side of bacon. If you say you like eggs, they throw in an extra one for free. You won't be sorry you stopped there.

The staff here are a perfect example of true Iowan hospitality. With a beautiful farm town atmosphere and good old home style cooking, the Iowa machine shed holds quite a bit of childhood nostalgia for me. Their gift shop surely holds something for everyone and their desserts are to die for.

The food is usually great. But the catfish I was served on this day was cooked from the frozen state at the start and thus the meat was watery. The mashed potatoes were good and tasty and the cinnamon apples were good but should be served at least warm. The Ham and Bean soup could have been cooked longer some of the beans were grainy.

I stopped by and had lunch at the Shed while I was traveling on I80. The service was great, the menu has a lot of items and the decor is fun. The applesauce is chunky and flavorful. I wasn't expecting it, but loved it. The warm bread basket was probably the best I've ever had. Friend chicken is spectacular. Only negative is the entrance is a gift shop area and can be distracting.

The Machine Shed uses the Cracker Barrel format with the shop at the entrance selling tchotchkes and the family style dining in the back. We went with a large group and our waiter did a good job of keeping us supplied with drinks and bringing the food in a reasonable amount of time.

We have been here before with great food, this time it was the worst meal I think I’ve ever had. Prime rib was raw and I couldn’t chew it. I sent it back and it came back still rubber. Baked Potato was hard. Apple Dumpling tasted freezer burned and even though I asked for it to be warm it was ice cold! Our waitress was very nice though! What a disappointment!!!

That being said we stayed for "dinner" at 1045 am. The atmosphere was awesome. Total farm country feel. I enjoyed shopping at the store too. Service was excellent. We had the country fried steak and Parma crusted pork chops. Both were thick cuts that were extremely tender and flavorful. We also got the apples for one of our fixes and they were done to perfection. Mashed potatoes were also tAsty.

Not sure if they were having a bad day or if it just isn't what it use to be. Took waiter 2 self reminders and 1 reminder from us to bring water. He forgot items from 3 of the 4 meals ordered. Portions have gotten smaller. And what restaurant today doesn't have at least 1 option for turkey sausage/bacon? Even with mistakes I use to feel like management was hands-on and really cared, that seemed to be missing this past weekend. I hope it was just a bad day. This is a great and beloved restaurant!

We order prime rib, juicy & delicious that came with garlic potato, Cole slaw, green beans and 2 types of bread. My guest had 4 PC chicken with cottage cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans and bread. Food excellent, services wonderful & we both had enough left for another meal to take home. Highly recommend the Machine Shed & we will be going back. Thanks Caley for being the best waitress!

After many years of hearing about this place we were excited to finally get a chance. We were seated promptly and then things slowed down, way down. Our waitstaff was slow to arrive and slow to bring our order. The table next to arrived after we did and was served before us. Food was good, experience not so much.

I was excited when I ordered the Fish Fry dinner. Sadly it really wasn't what I expected. The breading on the fish was crispy on the outside , before you got to the fish the breading was pastey and slimy. The fish itself was very fishey smelling and potent taste of fish. I was not impressed at all. My thought was the fish was real close to needing to be thrown away, not fried up and served. Sorry to say it was plain nasty!

No waiting on Wednesday night. Food was good. Portions were a good size. Not as big as other reviews make it seem. Price is a little high tho. Service was good but I did not like having the dirty dishes of everyone in her section sitting next to me. Our dirty dishes stayed on our table longer then I expected.

Easter in Davenport Machine Shed.2:00 reservations Crowded Noisy. Hard to maneuver around to get to buffet. Food on buffet was not great. Running out of food. Some food overdone. Dessert bar almost empty. Expensive for what was on buffet. Waitress was good though. Will not return for a holiday meal.
