Bar food, but then it's a bar. For me, an important attribute is the are dog friendly. They even have water bowls for there canines. Back to the food. A wide variety of well prepared dishes. I looked the Ruben. My brother had a chicken sandwich. Both fresh and delish. Me and the big dog will be back.

The food was great, the service sucked. The employees were more interested in drinking shots with their friends than providing good service. I had to wave our waitress down from her drinking perch to get our bill, then our friend had to take the bill to the register because she was back drinking shots with her friends. If I was in charge they would be gone. The cook who handled the dog and then went back to work without washing his hands would be gone also. Never going back!!!! To bad cause the food was fabulous!!

It's amazing the quality of the food that two men at a grill can produce. Had breakfast twice, and it was very nice. Tasty! The service is top notch and friendly. Will be returning.

Excellent food at an affordable price. Awesome service. Great bar and drink selection. It used to be a VFW and attracts a lot of locals. Interesting, fun crowd. My only complaint is that it's way too loud during Hawkeye football games - owner cranks TVs up to 11.

Easily my favorite restaurant in valley junction! Their lunch specials are a great deal, the food is fresh, and the staff is friendly. I wish they were more eco friendly though. They use plastic utensils and plates and I understand not having a dishwasher, but think they could use compostable plates, etc. instead of all single use throw away plastic. My favorite thing on the menu is the prime rib burger with the sautéed mushrooms and onions...always juicy and cooked perfectly. I’m also a huge fan of their Thai wings and the walking taco nachos app. For drinks my go to the house Moscow Mule, but they have an interesting list of non traditional Moscow mule flavors that is great too!

Ok atmosphere, tons of tv to watch any sporting event or festivities you could require to view. Beer is cold, drinks are good, food is decent. Save breakfast for another place, burgers are always great. Jason is a great bartender, all staff does a good job of quick service.

I've never had a bad meal at G Mig's. Nightly dinner specials. Monday nights are build your own burger night and Thursday nights are taco nights. This is one of my favorite place to eat and have a drink. The entire menu is awesome. Breakfast on the weekends too. Great wait staff.

This place is always packed and it's easy to see why. G Mig's is just your average Sports Bar that happens to have incredibly good food. Finding a spot to sit for 2 or more has been a challenge every time we go, but other guests help accommodate. Everyone tries to be polite in the tight quarters and they make it work. I've never had a bad experience and this tends to be the place we hit up when we have some extra time (see above: place is always busy!) to chill. For dinner try the chicken nachos (I took a pic to taunt my nachos loving sister with they are so good!) We are usually there on weekends for brunch. They don't do a special or have any kind of buffet, but with their version of eggs benedict and some orange juice you're pretty well set. The place is close quarters, for sure, and though they tend to seem a bit understaffed I don't know that they could fit another moving body in that place. Staff seems to be doing a complicated dance around furniture, patrons, and each other, but I've never seen a spill. A bustling local pub that does what they do very well. Great place to grab a bite. Word of warning: Parking sucks in Valley Junction! This place is no exception.

Food was ok. I was glad they had Kraft Mac and cheese on the kids menu; I like my child to eat an adult range of foods but I only experiment with that at home... I've had too many restaurant kid meals rejected because the chef tried to fancy it up! Not sure why our food was served with wasteful disposable plates and cutlery - that was disappointing.

The food was tasty, but lukewarm, and the waitress was less than cheerful and unfamiliar with their beer selections. She didn't know which were wheat beers and would have to go ask (ok, please do, but should I have to ask?) And no, it wasn't very busy.

Absolutely great meals and service ! I had Migsie’s Burrito, with Five Farms Bailey’s in Black Coffee... If you haven’t had that before, it’s worth trying. Their Manager Bruce was a friendly guy and look after us well.

This is a really nice little pub in Valley Junction. I stopped by a couple mornings in November to watch Arsenal. They were one of few places open in the morning on Thanksgiving, and were very accommodating. Lots of TVs, and the breakfast looked excellent (I'd sadly already eaten). Will definitely stop back in the future.

This is a great place in valley junction area.. Its great food at a good price and the service is always spot on.. Our bartender server Kerri is the best!! Menu changes every 6 months so it keeps it greasy as in not the same food over and over again... Defintly my favorite place to eat in the valley junction area!!!

I have tried nearly everything (minus fish) on their menu and I have yet to be disappointed. It is so, so, SO good! Fried Chicken night, pasta night and steak nights are my favorite. Even better- the staff. They are truly amazing! Quick, attentive, helpful and fun! I've been going to gmigs for the last four years and will continue to come for many years. Food here is absolutely phenomenal! At first glance I could easily see G Mig's just being a bar with regular bar food. However, menu items are more thought out, complex, and balanced than what you'd normally find at a bar. You can tell that the chef is passionate about his craft just by eating the food. This is where I want to eat every day - last meal worthy.

Food seemed kinda of pricey to me at first but it tasted really good. I got the Iowa pride wrap with the pasta salad and it was delicious. Mine was pork and my friend got the chicken on it and we tried each other’s and were both torn between which was better! I also got the pasta salad for my side and it was delicious

This is a rather small pub, with excellent burgers, and very good service, especially, since we were there during the Hawkeye game. Very clean. They were out of Leinenkugels though, but the ice tea is very good. I would go there again.

Great service, the waitress was extremely busy, but really sweet and helpful. She was so busy, and had been so nice, I couldn't bring myself to interrupt her to complain about the food. But it was awful. My chicken sandwich had been filleted until it was a paper thin slice, then covered in two inches of mushrooms to make it look bigger. The small piece of chicken that was there lacked seasoning and tasted like burnt oil. The menu described their walking taco nachos as traditional nachos made with doritos. The chips were a very cheap generic version that tasted like cardboard. We barely ate anything we ordered. I cannot believe this place has won any awards for it's food. For such a simple menu one might think they'd take more care in their ingredients in preparation. Will not be going back.
