Good coffee. Nice atmosphere. Got the "Waffle Scrambler" which was a waffle with eggs, cheese and bacon. Not separate, all together. Who came up with this idea? I was hungry enough that I ate it.

Charolette's is a neat little place! The outdoor seating was adorable and had adequate shade for the July heat. The wait time for a family of five's food was minimal yet it tasted amazing! I highly suggest the mango chicken wrap or an acai bowl. They have several options for different dietary needs and are affordable for any budget. We will definitely back to try more of their unique and tasty menu!

This place is fantastic! I went here with a friend recently and it was wonderful. The atmosphere is charming and comfortable and the service was very friendly. I had a cranberry white chocolate scone (amazing by the way) that hit the spot. Definitely going to make this a regular stop when I visit Dubuque!

I try something new to eat every time I go and everything is fantastic from the Peanut Butter Banana Toast to the Breakfast Burrito to the Waffle Scramble... you cannot go wrong with what you choose. I also highly recommend trying the Bullet Proof Coffee. So delicious!!!

Sandwiches were good, coffee was ok. The free water had some weird flavor added. The person taking our order mis-entered my wife's order. When the server brought her the wrong sandwich, he showed her a printout of the order as "proof" that she was, in fact, mistaken about her order.

Went today and waited 15 mins in line before even ordering. Heard the family seated behind the line asking where their food was and comment on the length of the wait. Couldn't believe they would staff only one person in a coffee shop in the morning. Eventually a second worker comes out carrying her cell phone in her hand. Not sure if she was on break (wouldn't make sense for a coffee shop to have employees take morning breaks) or in the bathroom on her phone. Wasn't happy with the experience either way. Took half an hour from walking in to leaving to get one coffee.

When I visited (8-31-19) they had just reopened from a fire in 2018. The upstairs "loft" is a great mixture of updated, well kept old-style design. I was very impressed with the atmosphere and their espresso had lots of flavor. I will definitely be back!

THE BEST scone ever Visiting in-laws in Dubuque for Thanksgiving and came across this local coffee house. What a pleasant surprise. excellent dark roast coffee (per my other half who enjoys dark roast black.)....THE BEST scone I've ever had in my life (it was apricot)...and a SUPER CREATIVE food menu. I highly recommend stopping by and trying the toast guacamole bacon and kiwi dish (other half had that) and I had the waffle topped with eggs and bacon. DELICIOUS. Vanilla Chai Latte tasted mostly like a sweet vanilla drink and nothing like chai. Staff was friendly. Food came fast. Refills on coffee are $0.99. To recap: Great coffee and really creative, yummy food. Within walking distance from shops all around downtown Dubuque. Definitely recommend.

I really wanted to love this place, but it just falls short. Everything is a dollar or more over typical prices for the area, the service is slow, and they never have anything ready in the morning, so it's useless as a morning coffee stop. If you're looking for a fancier coffee shop to sit at during the day, it might be decent, but I'm at the point that I finally just walked out of the store without even getting coffee because they don't seem to understand what people are expecting out of a coffee shop.

Lovely coffee shop located in the heart of downtown Dubuque. It fits perfectly amongst other newly renovated downtown attractions. The owner is very friendly and can whip up savory baked goods and a mean brew. The interior is beautifully decorated. I would be a regular if I lived closer. I stop here every time I'm in the area. Another thing I should note is that they have vacation rentals location above the coffee house making this an ideal location to start your day if you happen to be staying in one.
