Very tasty food and the queso blanco is one of the best you can find in Cedar Falls, but the service is inconsistent and the margaritas are barely blended and super sugary. Also, Thursday night is karaoke night, so if you are trying to have a nice family dinner, I would steer clear of Amigos on Thursdays because it gets incredibly LOUD.

I will not support a business who fires employees for not coming in during a call in when they weren't scheduled in the first place. That is horrible management and discrimination. Also they skim off credit cards receipts never match what i order then i have to fight with the bank to get it resolved. NEVER AGAIN.

I love going to Amigos have always had great service and food, generally go 1-2 times a week. Unfortunately went there last night and was very disappointed with the server we had. Not only did he seem very preoccupied throughout the ordering process when we wanted to order another drink and tried to locate him we learned he had left for the evening. I will still give the place a 5 star and hope that I have a better experience the next time I go.

Food not hot with freshness as of it was already prepared but they do give you a lot of food. The tortillas are definitely not made in the restaurant.... I’m from Texas & this place is a 3 compared to our Latin food ! Also took my leftovers home in a to-go box the restaurant provided me with & they’re definitely not microwavable they have the kind that melts when you heat them up and gives you cancer

What I ordered was not what I got. I ordered a breakfast burrito with potatoes, scrambled eggs and chorizo. It was ground hamburger, no eggs and potatoes that were so undercooked you couldn't eat them. I called and was told that my order was what I ordered. Asked if they would send me what I really ordered. I was told No. That when I came in they would take 10% off my next purchase. Then she proceeded to tell me what chorizo was. My mistake was thinking they were as good as Amigos in Waterloo. They have amazing food! Cedar Falls....NO!

The beans were runny, there were potatoes, and carrots in the beans. The building is falling a part. The candy in the lobby was full of very of colored old candies. They service was good. There was one other table in the restaurant and still our drinks were often empty. The price is normal 6 to 16 dollars. The casino cheese dip was tasty but the chips were stale. We will not go back..

Came at 1:15 PM on a saturday and we waited about 15 minutes just to get our drinks. We then waited another 15 minutes to get our order taken. After we ordered, a family of 3 came in and sat down in the booth next to us. They receieved their food before us and they didn’t even arrive until 30 minutes after we had already been there. We didn’t receieve our food until exactly 2:30 pm. Very disappointed with the service today. Cannot seem to understand why our food took so long when there were only five tables in the store.

I would say this restaurant is more geared towards College age. Their chips and salsa were good, margaritas not so much. Careful in the women's bathroom, tile in front of sink is pulled up and is a definite hazard. Servers were friendly.

This restaurant is really killing it right now. Food is fresh, served fast and tastes amazing. We've had some poor experiences in the past but at this time, nobody does Mexican cuisine with good service and attention to detail better than Amigos.

It was okay, but not for $40 when the chips were stale, salsa didn't have much flavor, steak in the fajitas tasted like a salt block and as did the chicken. The "refried" beans were runny and the rice was kinda old. I wouldn't go to it again personally. And Google recommended this place as kid friendly, I'm not sure about the day time but at night it's not.

First time here. My son had The Panther. It was HUGE. He'll get 3 meals out of it. I had Steak Taco Salad. It was good and had a lot of meat in it. The waitress was nice and came to out table often. The reason for not giving 5 stars was the place is run down. The womens batheroom was a mess with a hole in the wall and wall paper hanging down.

I've been going to Amigos for a few years now, and the food has always been amazing. Some of my favorite dishes are chipotle shrimp and shrimp popeye. My complaint used to be that the drinks were not on par with the food, because they used to make nothing but cheap margaritas. However, they've recently added a whole new cocktail menu, and now I can say I love everything about Amigos. I recommend the Paloma!

The server needs to say something when he's putting a scalding hot plate in front of you. It was in front of me; I didn't know he was setting it down and he didn't say anything, so I took it and burned my finger. No apology from the manager, just indifference. The food was nothing special The wait staff lady was nice. No need to come back here!

The salted rim of the beer glass was a nice touch. The table salsa was lacking kick but I'm a spicy freak. The cheese enchilada was disappointing as I'm pretty sure it was just Monterrey jack cheese, instead of queso fresco which would've been amazing. The seafood enchiladas were tasty and I'll get them again. The restaurant is a bit run down but I have no problem coming back again.

Late to the party. Only discovered Amigos 4 months ago but in that time I've ordered from then over 20 times so that says all you needed to know about my opinion of the flavor. Always delivery which has always been timely so I can't comment on decor or wait service. Love this food.

Beef and chorizo tacos were very good. The service was so-so. Menu had a good selection of items. I took one star off because they play music outside and the speaker is at the main entrance so it gets annoying loud as you enter. I don't know why, but this bothered me.

We are from out of town. This is the celebration restaurant for our family. But this time they didn't perform well. We had lots of problems. The kids foods got delivered last, drinks never came, 3 orders had issues. The answer the manager gave was we were busy. From a customer service point of view, thats a bad answer and not acceptable. They didn't seem to want to own the mistake. The manager did compensate us for the issues but money is not always the answer. A simple ownership of the problem would've sufficed.

Terrible I tripped going up the step that did not have a light so I had to go to the hospitol to see if there was anything wrong with my knee that I had replaced in June.Luckly it was only bruised and Dr said it will be sore for about a week. You need lights or somethi g to show people at night where the steps is not just a note on FLOOR AND WALL that we normally to not look at. I will not be coming back.The employee asked I was ok but NO further action was taken. Iam very upset and may talk to my lawyer.Thank you.

I got the veggie taco salad and it was sooo good. I was expecting just fajita type of veggies but there is broccoli and potatoes in it.... honestly it was soo delicious! Their guac doesnt have tomatoes in it, which I prefer... seriously it's so good! Try the guacamole! We got a pitcher of margaritas and they were very tasty!

Gluten Free options!!! Today, seafood enchilada with corn tortillas, chips & guacamole (made right in their kitchen) and taking home a side of their house hot sauce for my hubby & kids later. Lunch menu is full of choices & very inexpensive.

We came here with a large group; a youth robotics team and parents in town for a tournament. We called ahead for a table and got a reservation, but when we arrived we were told there were no reservations that night because it was karaoke night (Thursday night) - although they did make a space to accommodate us. It turns out that "karaoke night" is one man (the owner maybe?) singing kitschy Mexican songs, followed by a DJ playing loud club music. Note that this isn't a club setting. There's no dance floor - just really loud music to eat to (forget conversation over the meal). The food was good and the portions generous. I got a box for my fajita leftovers - something that's out of character for me - and the burrito grande is HUGE. The place was very popular with the college crowd that night, likely because of B1G1 margaritas.
