This Coffee Shop belongs to the category of Vegan restaurant.
My favorite lunch spot in the city market. All vegan menu with great flavors and great service. Everything is so fresh and made to order.
Amazing food and very friendly staff! Service was so quick! Had the seitan banh mi with chips and salsa, a cup of chili, and a piece of lime and coconut cake. Everything was delicious, loved the spice of the seitan and the avocado mayo was so good too. Salsa was tremendous and super fresh. The cashew dollop on top of the chili was incredible too! Awesome vibes all around
Three Carrots is the best! The food served here is different than the food served at the Fountain Square location. It’s still great though! Parking is downtown parking and can be tricky depending on the time of day. It’s worth it for the food though!
Love this place. Excellent food.
Perfect Location. Excellent Vegan Selections. "Rich Girl Tofu".....Yummy & Filling.
I have visited there location at market place. There vegan cookies are great...
For all the carnivores out there, you'd never know it's vegan! Yum!
Service was quick and friendly, the food is just OK in my opinion. Too much sauce in the barbecue wrap and the cheesecake leaves much to be desired. I do like that there is a vegan spot in the middle of the city in a good location.
Awesome vegan eats. Don't miss it
Best veg restaurant ever!
Very friendly staff that takes the time to help vegans and non vegan patrons. Food was very flavorful.
I loved it! Dessert, breakfast, lunch, they have it all! At the cashier was so sweet! The stuff available was decently affordable. I missed it the first time I came here but I'm glad I found it and finally tried them out! Their vegan food is great! I'll be coming back every time I come to Indy! Even my 4yr old loved it here, and we became friends with the cashier too.
Love the food!
Friendly service, fresh ingredients, GREAT FOOD!!! Their seitan is out of this world... especially the Seitanderloin sandwich. I highly recommend this place.
We usually go to city market on Saturdays for lunch food. The other location has brunch until 2, if you prefer that.
Great vegan spot in the heart of Indy!
I absolutely love this place. Great food and great people. The Tofu Rich Girl is one of my favorite sandwiches ever, and the vegan cheesecakes are incredible.
Great vegan eats!
Anazing food!!! Bahn MI = deliciously spicy
Absolutely the most delicious vegan food!
Always delicious and fresh. Seitan anything is the best. Please take the trojan sandwich to Fountain Square!
Love love love this place . Highly recommend . The food is amazing and the staff is always wonderful.
I love to frequent Three Carrots every time I stop through Indianapolis. Amazing food and friendly, helpful staff help to make this place in easy decision!
Great service! Delicious vegan food!
The sauces are to die for! So flavorful, fresh and vibrant!
Friendly staff and quick service
Delicious food, ready so fast! In such a wonderful market.
Always a good option
The BEST. VEGAN. FOOD.
Delicious & very fresh!!!
Every time I eat here, I am amazed. So far, my favorite item as been the biscuits and gravy. Desserts are pretty awesome here too.
I am not a vegan or vegetarian but this food is good. I was glad I tried it because it is full of flavor. I was pleasantly surprised. I don't eat beef or much pork but I do like my chicken and fish and I think if I could eat here everyday I wouldn't need the chicken or fish anymore.
It is great inspite of the fact it is vegan.
Always delicious vegan food.
Great place for yummy vegan options. My fiancé and I got the seitan bahn mi and the seitan sandwich- so yummy!
Love this place and the staff, food is always made to perfection. Highly recommend going to both locations for an awesome Vegan experience.
The trojan horse is awesome! All vegan all delicious!
Love this place! So many great options for breakfast and lunch! Delicious!
My 1st out of many vegan restaurants. I had the beet burger (which was great. I love beets!) While my friend had the rich girl sandwich (which was gross! Maybe bc i dont like slaw) They have a unique bloody mary drink thats carbonated & flavored w kimchi! Real good! They don't have straws tho so.....hehe!
An oasis of healthy food in a desert of mostly junk food at the City Market. And the food mostly tastes delicious. The Wrap I had was tasty but had too much mayo type sauce in it. The staff is friendly and efficient.
Great place to grab some vegan food on the go. Staff are generally friendly, and there are a variety of options to pick from. I liked the dishes with seitan. Service is pretty quick and prices are pretty reasonable. The only thing I wish is that they were not strict with starting most lunch dishes at 11, but that was not really an issue.
The food was delicious. It is hard to believe that it was vegan. This was the first time that I tried seitan. It was very good. I definitely want to check out their other location as well.
The biscuits and gravy are sooo good! And definitely add the seitan bacon. It tastes like sausage, so it’s the perfect addition.
Terrible hours. Great food, but you will never have it since they close so early!
Delicious vegan alternative for lunch.
Excellent!
Great food, prices, and service.
Amazing vegan food! They have the best peanut butter pie!
Visited for the day and hopped over to the market for lunch. Was blown away by this place. They have a huge menu and wonderful food. I had the gyro and it was perfect. Plus, their employees are cute.
Vegan seitan tenderloin sammich. Need I say more?
Indy has evolved. Delicious vegan in a market place! Gyros, I'm very happy with. And with the upgraded kale salad, dry, but healthy
Highly recommended! Every staff member is pleasant and personable, the food is fast, and it leaves you feeling full but with a euphoric energy. From the side to the entree my taste buds are always thankful. I work nearby, and have found the buffalo seitan wrap with a side salad to be the perfect midday meal. I consistently comeback to the office ready for challenges without a slump. I have never regretted a meal from 3-C
Happy omnivore. My vegan wife and I were happy to find this place while passing through Indy. Everything here is vegan and delicious. Well prepared and seasoned. My two boys enjoyed the mac and cheese and pbj sandwich.
Enjoy lunching here because everything is excellent. That it is vegan is a plus.
So good! This stall inside City Market is a vegan oasis. Plenty of seating nearby, great menu, and fun specials. Yum!
Helpful. all vegan menu.
Unique food options.
Super friendly people coupled with fast and amazingly good food! I would highly recommend this place to anyone trying to learn with vegan food is like.
I love it because it's Vegan!! VEGAN STRONG
An Absolute treasure to visit! Food is phenomenal!!!
The BEST restaurant I've tried in Indianapolis. Spectacular dumplings, the chilli is more black bean based (vs tomato) which I loved. Really liked the Seiten Gyro too.
Fantastic ambience in City Market and delicious filling vegan wraps! Perfect meal!
Loved the city market overall and Three Carrots was fantastic for my vegan-loving wife and me. I had the veggie and hummus wrap, which was tasty and filling while she had a massive kale salad that was too big to finish. We'd like to return and sample the rest of the menu.
Three carrots is a must visit for any Vegan living in or visiting Indianapolos
Loved that I can visit family near Indy and have my vegan meals too! I made an order online and had no worries of what to eat while enjoying family! Definitely will visit again! Delish!
Bahn mi was great! It was the end of the day when I visited but the food was tasty and fresh. Sandwich was a little on the small side but it was nice to find a bahn mi place in Indianapolis. Walk around the food stalls and grab a bahn mi to go!
Good food and good prices.
Amazing place. I go here every chance I get. The Seitanderloin is one of my favorites.
The mecca of vegan food in Indy. Creative and tasty dishes that even you're carnivorous friends and family will love!
It gets no better.
IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!! AND I ATE SO MUCH AND I STILL FEEL ENERGIZED AND READY TO GO!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND :)))
DELICIOUS food for reasonable prices, Quick service, Friendly people
Just amazing stuff. Really have to try it to under stand just how great it is. MUST TRY THE SEITAN BLT!
One of the first all vegan restaurants in Indy. My go-to place for food when I'm near the circle. They specialize in veganizing American comfort food using tofu and their own seitan but also have salads and sandwiches without gluten or soy. If you can eat gluten, try their biscuits and gravy!
2 words. Buffalo sauce. On anything
Excellent vegan food, great service, cannot wait to go again!
Simply phenomenal flavor (and nutrition) with little wait.
From Michigan and on a road trip. I've hit several veg/vegan places on this trip and this is easily the best. Tried the pulled seitan sandwich and the buffalo nugs. Both very good, sandwich perhaps slightly better. Will go out of my way to come back whenever in the area.
Absolutely loved the taste
Went for the first time amazing !!! Got vegetarian food options and yummy treats. I want to go again wonderful people wonderful food.
In town for business and I always like looking for good vegetarian/vegan places to try. Got the buffalo seitan wrap and it was fantastic. spicy, fresh and cruelty free. Highly recommend.
If you have a family member who is reluctant to try vegetarian food: HAVE NO FEAR. This is not only an incredible vegetarian experience at this and the other location, but an easy "gateway" for those transitioning (or just willing to humor you). Hand your friend a Trojan Horse and they'll swear it is a standard Gyro. From texture to flavor it is dead on and perfectly prepared. The Seitan BLT not only is delicious, but will leave your fingers still lingering with the smell of "bacon" long after you've finished eating. The creations at Three Carrots deserve a wider audience and much more expensive restaurants in the city fail to deliver on anything remotely close per flavor. Go here or to the Fountain Square location and never look back.
My first vegan restaurant!! Everything was delicious!! I had the
Must-eat spot to eat when I visit Indy. City Market is a gorgeous space to relax as well.
Love this place. My favorites include Tim's breakfast bowl, Et Tu Brute Wrap, and Seitan Gyro. Must try the cheesecake. Personally not a fan of the Banh Mi.
Proving that vegan can taste great. Anyone can eat here and enjoy the food. Try the mac and cheese!
Nice people, really bland uninspired food, at least what we had. Maybe their seiten is good, but we ordered two meals to split and they were basically undressed salads with a few slices of tofu without spices. It kind of tasted like if your grandma heard you don't eat animal products and made you a salad from Walmart. It made us a little white-people-consumer mad. We've been eating vegan food around the country on our tour and this was the top rated vegan place in Indy, so we gave it a shot, but it's probably contributing more to people being meat eaters than vegans. Also the environment is like a college campus, like a white upperclassmen daydream toy town center. Includes "no shaving or changing clothes" signs in the bathroom. Keep them homeless out! If you're a vegan visiting Indy, get a motel with a kitchenette and some tempeh or tofu, some spices, and your favorite veggie and you will be happy because you can continue on with your life knowing that animals do not have to be tortured in order for us to enjoy eating.
Best vegan eats in Indy, never lets you down.
Fantastic place to grab some vegan eats! Yummy options.
Wonderful food full of flavor. I had the seitan gyro, which was juicy and delicious. I also had tastes of the chickpea salad sandwich and the grown up PB&J. Everything was fresh and beautifully prepared. I do not always eat full vegan but it is awesome to have these veg dishes that are not the typical cheese or grease pits that is usually called vegetarian. I would also say it is very reasonably priced for quality food. Probably going back tomorrow for my two day stay in the area.
I love everything they have on the menu! --its top notch in presentation, taste, balance and price. Just wish parking to dash in for carry out was easier!! but its worth the parking effort. The Kale salad and the biscuits and gravy with the seitan bacon are my favorite orders!
Had a delicious dinner with friends and family here once. We live out of town but, can't wait until we can go again! Great food, service and, atmosphere! ♡
The food was very good and they had a great vegan selection.
Great food. Best Vegan meal I've had to date.
This place is amazing. Everything is vegan and they have gluten free options as well.
WAY overpriced. I ordered the "cauliflower steak" for dinner and paid $15 for a slice of cauliflower with a side salad. Ridiculous. Oh, and the coffee machine was down and they were out of other stuff. Definitely won't be back.
Love this place. So busy, long lines, but handled well, great customer service, delicious, tasty food. Lots of choices. Missed their breakfast cutoff time (11:00).
Love the pulled seitan and mac and cheese. This place is great!
I got the hummus and veggie wrap and it was so good. I would post a picture of it, but I ate it too fast. If I lived in Indianapolis I would end up going here everyday!
Great place, I highly recommend it. Me and my girlfriend had the buffalo wraps and they were awesome. Very unique taste.
Finally a true 5 star review here in Indy! We had been living in Indy for over a year and Three Carrots is the only restaurant we ate that deserves a full 5.0/5.0! By all means, do not get us wrong, there are some other great restaurants we have visited, but this is by far the best. Just as a reference, we have eaten at 8/10 of Indy's "Top 10" best restaurants and honestly, the food quality and taste of Three Carrots blew all of those out of the water (yes beating out that $150/plate restaurant we ate at!) For vegans especially, Three Carrots is definitely the place to go. Everything on the menu is vegan, so there was no worry about cheese or butter in this or that. The oil and salt levels were also very manageable. We really do care about our health and try to eat a low fat, low sodium diet. This has been particularly hard in Indiana as most of the restaurants we have tried only think of too much salt and oil as "flavoring" rather than herbs and spices. Three Carrots perfectly balanced herbs, spices, and minerals all together in a brilliant display of tongue tantalizing treats. We first got there at 10:45 am and ordered two breakfast dishes, Biscuits and Gravy, as well as Tim's Breakfast Bowl. The biscuits were moist and the rosemary seasoning perfectly complemented the very peppery gravy. The bowl was absolutely fantastic with a nice balance of savory and spicy. We then ordered lunch. The first sandwich was the Seitanderloin. Modeled after the infamous, unhealthy Indiana tenderloins, this Seitan version was absolutely divine. We unfortunately forgot to hold the mustard (not a condiment either of us likes much), but were able to save the sandwich by removing that piece of bread. The chef was also very accommodating when we asked to substituted roasted red peppers instead of pickles on the sandwich (you would be surprised how many restaurants refuse simple requests like that). The breading on the seitan was not too salty, dry, or oily and we didn't feel that gross coating in our throats from too much fat like many breaded "meats." We got a cup of the Seitan and Dumplings soup which we loved and ordered another bowl of it. We also ordered the Seitan Banh Mi. We both loved this sandwich as well. The marinated seitan is definitely the star of this dish as it just bursts with flavor with each chew. It also has a bit of a kick (spice) as jalapenos come on the sandwich and really add some heat which balances nicely with the mayo. Lastly, we ordered the Tofu Kitchen Sink sandwich. This was hands down our favorite entrée of the day. Ignoring the fact that the Tofu was perfectly seasoned (a very rare thing, even in famous San Francisco cafes), the basil pesto and garlic aioli were to die for. Those two sauces made every bite fresh and airy while the tofu was savory and grounded. A superb balance of flavors it is indeed. We ordered a cup of the chili along with this and it was good as well. If we had to pick a "least" favorite item, it would be the chili. Not because it was bad at all, but just different. We really like tomato based chili with a lot of heat. This chili was more bean based with a very warm, earthy flavor. Not sure if it is cinnamon or nutmeg, but something like those were the main spice and just threw us off. Nevertheless, we ate every bit! For décor and service, there is not much to say as Three Carrots resides in the downtown Indy "Market District" building where you just order and pick up your food to eat in the building. With that said, it is still a very cool vibe watching all the people walk in and order from the different food stands. And the chef and cashier were as nice as ever. They talked with us about the food and never hesitated to make sure we enjoyed every bit. As we make our transition out of Indiana in the coming months, I can surely say that if we had to pick one restaurant to visit when we come back to Indy for Gen Con, it would certainly be Three Carrots.
Love their food and dessert ❤️❤️
The seitan bahn mi is amazing! So many great things at the market, so glad I stumbled on Three Carrots.
Good food. Nasty service.
This place has awesome vegan food and desserts, the seitan options are excellent. I highly recommend it.
Awesome creative dishes daily. Great staff. I'm not vegan and I love this place. Shut up and go.
I came in for my first time a few weeks ago on a work trip and lived this place! The market is awesome because if you have a friend who for some reason doesn't want amazing vegan food, they can go elsewhere and you get to order here and still eat together! I order the bahn-mi sandwich and was blown away! It was delicious. Everything tasted very fresh. I had the soup of the day on the side (I think dumpling) and it was heavy and l flavorful. I can''t wait for my next Indy layover!
Its not just good for being vegan food, its' good food period. This place is rightfully picking up steam and expanding to a second location soon. Eat early, eat often at this establishment.
The food here is fantastic, the people working there are friendly, and the location in the marketplace is lovely.
The best vegan food in the city, no matter what you get. Idk what I'd do without three carrots in my life. Can't wait for the brick and mortar location!
Always friendly and always worth it.
Absolutely delicious! You needed to check this place out. Highly recommend the seitan banh mi!
What can I say about this place, Heaven for the vegetarian people.
The Seitan Banh Mi was delicious. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu. This is a great location if you go with friends/relatives who aren't down to try delicious vegan food, because there are plenty of other options in the building.
My favorite restaurant in Indy, hands down. Everything is so delicious and unlike food you can get anywhere else in the area.
I am not a vegetarian and Three Carrots only sells vegetarian items. The great thing about Three Carrots is that all the dishes I have had, have been so amazingly tasty that meat is not needed. The Bahn Mi has been my go to from day one. It has a great range of flavor and a ton of fresh veggies. Add a side salad or soup, and you have a solid meal that will keep you going all day. Recently they added online ordering for pickup. I highly recommend doing that so your order is ready when you get to the market.
Fantastic menu with lovely vegan options. Thank you, you more my vacation worthwhile.
One of the best vegan places even if you aren't vegan there is still something to love about this place. Always ask employees about their recommendations because we know they have least tried it and have come up with the best creations that taste amazing. You would definitely want to try this place out
I was excited to try this place and came away fully satisfied. I tried the Saitan Bahn Mi sandwich with chips and salsa. From the menu to the atmosphere to the food preparation this is a great vegan/veggie themed place to fill your plant-eating belly and not clean out your wallet. I will be spreading the word to the world (with a little help from this thing called the Internet) about this place. Let's spread veganism. It is not that hard to eat an all plant diet. Really, it's all in your head.
Sooooo goooodddd!!!!!
Best juice in Indy!! I know their hours aren't long BUT if you can accomodate your schedule to make it to the market when they're open you wont regret it. Don't waste your money on any other juice in town, no matter how trendy and appealing their name sounds.
Everything is good. Close your eyes and point - get that - it’ll be good! Parking still sucks at City Market but that’s the same for everyone inside there.
Yup... legit vegan in downtown Indianapolis. Got the biscuits and gravy and oh my gawd!!!! So good and filling and totally reasonably priced. I will probably be here several times during this trip.
Hidden gem! Great food!
Nice place with good people. I often come here for the amazing veggie food.
A great place to explore the world of vegan/vegetarian dishes. Because it is in the City Market, you can sample the food without committing to anything actual restaurant. The flavors were incredible!
Being vegan is difficult, but Ian and Co. make it much easier on the stomach. The cuisine is stand alone one of the best food joints I've ever been to (and the includes) before I made the switch to a plant based diet. Thank you!!
Great place, friendly staff.
I had the Bahn Mi, and it was one of the best vegan sandwiches I’ve ever had! It was a perfect combination of flavors, and they put lots of seitan on it. I got it without jalapeños so it wasn’t spicy.
Superior food great and friendly knowledgeable staff yummmm
This was so nasty. I ordered the chickpea sandwich and it was horrible everything was falling out it was watered down. This place gives being vegan a bad a complete waste of money, time, and tastebuds. It was a little pastry place on the way out and i got a macaroon it was old and disgusting, horrible!
A great vegan place. We are clean eaters but not strictly vegan. This was pretty good. The Bahn Mi was delicious. The fries were amazing. The buffalo mac and cheese was ok.
Best. Vegan. Mac n cheese. Ever.
The hummus & veggie wrap was so good. It's served with tortilla chips and salsa. Will return
Excellent, quite a variety. Great cookies and sweet treats too. Check hours. Closed early.
Vegan Heaven!!! Their food is absolutely amazing and I would recommend it to everyone! Cheap and delicious. Me and my girlfriend have this place marked as one of our favorites.
The food is amazing! Great customer service!
Amazing food. Flavors were clear. Food seasoned just right. Selection is excellent. So healthy! Service was excellent and process surprisingly reasonable for the quantity and quality.
Not accessible for people with visual disabilities. Tiny menu and no help offered when brought to their attention.
The seitan gyro is amazing. Highly recommended.
Deliousous. Loved the ceased salad and the buffalo wrap. It was awesome to get a vegan meal with large portions. Will definitely be back.
You've got plenty to choose from when it comes to quality lunch options at the City Market. This is the one you'll get right 1000% of the time.
My girlfriend and I enjoy Three Carrots' magical vegan sorcery multiple times a week. Not only does the food get better every time but the crew's vibes are always stellar and hospitable.
I never get tired of coming here. I've been coming here occasionally for a few years now, and highly recommend this to any vegans or veg-curious people in Indy! The chef who created these foods is also a really nice guy too, so I'm happy to support nice, local businesses whenever possible. Everything served here is 100% vegan, and there are always muffins and desserts of all varieties lining the counter and in a little fridge off to the side for customers to purchase. I took my meat-and-potatoes family here once and they were all impressed with the creativity and flavor of their respective dishes. I'll say this is one of the best vegan spots in the city. Try it! You won't regret it.
The offering was great, so much to see! The building is kind of cramped and everybody was bumping into each other just trying to get from one end to the other. Some of the servers were quite rude, and some of the guests were as well, but that just seems to be a running trend for Indianapolis :)
Three Carrots always has the BEST food, hands down. They're the proof that vegan food is more than just salads and that it can taste amazing. The seitanderloin sandwich is the best and their mac and cheese is to die for!
Great vegan food! Great for transitioners.
This is always a great place to go for lunch. It has a great selection of food with some amazing dessert options. Plenty of seating. Just watch your elbows while waiting in line as they crammed as much food prep space as possible into the facility.
Fantastic healthy food options!
Great lunch option! Not a vegetarian, but still stopped here -- no regrets. Loved the Seitan Ban Mi.
They gave us 2 dirty plates one with a lot of ketchup on it. I was told the cooks must of had it in their hands when they handled the plate. The other had old greens on the bottom like it was setting on top of a dirty plate. asked them did their kitchen HELP come in today. Then there was blue plastic in the grits I got for my 2 year granddaughter to eat. She Had AREADY a half of it by the time I sew it. The service was friendly and fast. Maybe to fast since the plates where dirty.
This place inside City Market is a fantastic option for vegan food downtown. You order at the front of the stall and your food is made fresh around back. Head upstairs and grab a table, or take your with you to go. Beyond the tasty soups, sandwiches, and other main courses, they also have desserts and cold drinks. And while even omnis can appreciate the well-made food at Three Carrots, the benefit to being in the Market is that, if you're meeting a friend for lunch who wants something different, they can always go to a different stall. Three Carrots sells their seitan to a number of local restaurants, so if you've been eating veggie in Indianapolis for a while, you've probably already tried it. Only one heads-up: while the ethnic offerings (like banh mi and gyros) are very tasty, they don't attempt to be authentic. So if you're particular about that sort of thing, stick to options where you don't mind a little more creativity.
Great vegan food! I tried the delicious vegan gyro and it was sooo delicious!! The customer service was great and very polite...not a very long wait for food either. I would definitely recommend anyone...vegan, veggie or not to try their food!
It was a true case of serendipity and I gave up control and it was fanstastic!! I was at the taproom for a meeting and on my way out bumped into a friend I was trying to recruit to our non profit! She was waiting for her order from 3C so I asked her if I could crash her dinner. I let the guys at 3C pick my dinner and I loved the veg gyro and side salad! Fast and fresh, I will definitely be back to try the other delicious options!
Biscuits and gravy with seitan bacon...nom nom!
An excellent place to grab vegan food, and they do have a bunch of nice options. Definitely recommend the rosemary biscuits with gravy. Tried the tofu nuggets, and it tastes quite good. It's inside the market square and does not have its own seating.
In town from the east coast and stopped by for the vegan options, the seitan gyro was fantastic. Filled me up and a great price too
The best vegan food in downtown Indy. Indianapolis City Market!
