The staff is amazing here! Food is great and could eat the entire menu. Got carrots as a side by accident, but it was the best accident ever! Beer is always rotating and dont overlook their can list.

We were in town for a concert and aren't really familiar with the area. We ended up walking all the way down to roosters after not being able to decide on what to eat. It was so great! The food was locally sourced and so tasty. The sandwich names deserve an A & the sandwich taste deserves and A+. The service was great and the atmosphere was modern but down to earth. We will definitely be back to try everything else!

Amazing food. Mac and cheese ironically fell short for me. Maybe I needed some of the unique toppings. Kettle chips were delicious. I don’t normally eat then because they are too hard. These had perfect crunch. Belly bites and Ruben was fantastic.

Honestly the food here was slightly disappointing for the price. My grilled cheese tasted great, but the brisket was fairly dry and seemed almost like they had cooked it twice. The Mac and cheese was fairly bland as well, but the green beans were fantastic. Not a bad option for a dinner, but there are better options in the area.

Great sandwich shop with some of the best macaroni in the city. It’s actually worth stopping in just to have a bowl of the macaroni. Besides that, their sandwich selection is great, with a personal recommendation to try the Lucy. There’s another one I love, it’s second from the top, a brisket sandwich that I really liked. They have a good beer and wine selection and they actually had one of my favorite wines, Valpolicella. We have been frequenting this restaurant a lot lately and I plan to continue. Experience note, you can’t go wrong with any of the macaroni combinations.

I was craving a grilled cheese so bad and saw they had one on their menu. Went around 8pm and it was not crowded at all. The service was speedy and attentive. The food was absolutely phenomenal and so flavorful. Would recommend the grilled cheese and the mac and cheese! I hope to return soon.

What a phenomenal restaurant and staff! The owner Ross is incredibly down to earth and passionate about Indy, Mass Ave, and of course food. The catered the Bottleworks Ground Breaking Event for me, and I could not be happier. Easy to work with, on time (actually early), and flexible! Plus the food was delicious and they added a wonderful touch with small signs highlighting all of the local vendors used for the food. I highly recommend! Thanks a bunch!

Visited this place during Devour Indy. Wife choose a sandwich with pork belly and I a pork shoulder sandwhich. Both sandwiches could've satisfied either of our hunger. Bread was super tender and meat was amazing. Starter was pork rinds that were freshly made and super addicitive. Sides were mac & cheese and tasty green beens. Dessert was a moist, not overly sweet bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Definately exceeded our expectations.

A hidden gem on Mass Ave! No one in our group had been before, and we all ended up loving our meals. I got the melt sandwich (with a side of giardinara) and roasted carrots and it was delicious. They had a good beer selection and the food came out pretty quickly. I work right around the corner, so I will definitely be back to to try the lunch specials.

Good, wholesome food, which summed up the entire experience. As others have said, the brisket was excellent. Server was informed, friendly, attentive, and quick. We had a lovely time and all 7 in our party cleaned our plates. The only mild disappointment were the charred carrots recommended by our server - nothing was wrong with them, but they didn't quite live up to the hype. Would recommend the green beans or potatoes instead.

One of the best places in Indianapolis!! I tried the Canadian tuxedo, Irish coffee beer, Mac and cheese, and Vikings Blod. I recommend all 4. The atmosp here was nice, location is convenient. Staff was very laid back, courteous, and friendly. I recommend trying this little spot and thank me later.

Rooster's Kitchen is so good! This is comfort food at its finest, and well worth the price. Never have I ever had such decadent macaroni and cheese! There are so many add-ons like a fried egg, broccoli, garlic, bacon, brisket, etc. The grilled cheese with brisket was also to die for, and the side of grilled carrots was perfect. Try the pork rinds as an app. They also have a great beer list, and the people working were so friendly.

Was headed to Yatz to eat, but they stopped serving food at 9....my fault, buuut Rooster's Kitchen was still open and serving food- first thumbs up...Awesome server, nice, good small talk(not to much, nor awkward silence) , I think he knew I was there to get some food in the stomach stat...Food was fantastic, after a 15 hour day in the sun, it filled me up just right...and most importantly, didn't make me feel like a slob afterwards...as in, healthy dish. Definitely have a return customer here!!

Came when it first opened, and was not that impressed. It's billed as a mac and cheese restaurant, but it's my least favorite thing on the menu; lacks flavor that a cheddar mac would have. The brisket and caramelized onions on the other hand are excellent.

Rooster's Kitchen is a real treat. There is only one blue handicap accessible parking spot in front, but if you can find a spot, the rest is easy. Airy & clean feeling, there 8s plenty of space to maneuver wheelchairs, canes, wallets, and rollatirs. The menu is quirky, so check it out on their web page to confirm compatibility. That said, it is some unique artisanal Americana. The mac & cheese is a must! Relax & enjoy a meal full of character in a space of which the same can be said. I know we will be back!

Tony is the best server/tender I have had in years. Hands down, food, beer, service. This place is AMAZING!! If nothing else, stop in... order a beer and have a great conversation. I recommend the Canadian tuxedo and the Viking blod. You will not be disappointed with any random selection of beer and food from the menu. Rooster's Kitchen is Super good. The sample platter of the Rib Tips was just what I needed as an appetizer. My Mac and cheese with pork was also very filling and exactly what I was expecting it to taste like. The beer selection is great, and the waiter was very nice. Overall, I regret not going there more often!

Stopped by to check out the Mac and cheese and ended up taking advantage of the devour indy menu. All the food was good Get the bread pudding! Really enjoyed talking with our server Tony. And the best part for me was that they have Ash and Elm cider. We will be back.

Great service. Good drinks. Nice place overall. The brisket sandwich was very good as was the mac and cheese I created. Brisket to me is smoked and not the same as roast beef. This was roast beef sandwich. So a little misleading, but still messy goodness.

Not bad but wasn't overly impressed. Popcorn with bacon appetizer didn't really have a strong bacon flavor. More like regular popcorn with bacon crumbled on top. I did build your own mac n cheese for my main dish. It was good but nothing I couldn't have easily recreated. Based on how it was hyped, I guess I was expecting to have one of the Top 5 mac n cheese dishes I've ever had. Wife's brisket wasn't anything to write home about either. Too many other places to try before I would consider returning.

Small place, the sandwiches were great, but the Buddha bowl and meat plate were just ok. We had a group of over twenty and the food took way way too long. Don't come in large groups!!! Otherwise I'd recommend it.

The service was great and the atmosphere was inviting. I must have ordered the wrong thing. The turkey and brisket were disappointing. I naively expected Texas brisket, and this meet tasted more like a pot roast. The turkey was also disappointing. Others in our group loved the sandwiches. I loved the vegetables. The green beans were fresh and perfect, the carrots were yummy too.

My meal was amazing. I had braised brisket with green beans and the meat was so tender you practically don't have to chew. The green beans were buttered and not overcooked. The location is cute. It's more of a long hallway than a classic expansive restaurant, but bright and clean. Plenty of metered parking as well as free street parking if you know where to look and don't mind a bit of a walk. The service was great. Our server was prompt, the food came out fast and correct. She even kept engaging with my 1.5 year old as she passed by our table. I know he had a great time, too. Will definitely be making this a regular spot.

This place is great! Kombucha growler fills! Nitro cold brew coffee is wonderful! Everyone was bowled over by lunch, we had their veggie sandwich, a salad, and the brisket, all top notch. I daresay this is my new neighborhood favorite :)
