This Coffee Shop is included in the category of Indian restaurant.
Food is OK by American Indian food standard, and delivery is fast enough. however there's simply not enough meat. I ordered $45 and finished all but still feel like not enough meat, and I actually asked them for more meat with less rice. I'm 150lbs and 2 big macs would be good enough for me so you can imagine how little meat was there. finally no napkin at all. 2 stars for the taste but that's it, sorry.
Love this place!! Great food!!
Had lunch there today with my office. First time there. We all had the buffet. All left stuffed. Lots of goodness on the buffet. Restaurant was very clean and staff extra friendly.
Quite literally the best Indian cuisine I have ever had. And I hale from Cleveland, Ohio where they are all over. None as good as this place. Chicken biryani is on point! Garlic naan to die for! I wish I didn't live 5 hours away or if he here every week. It is worth a 5 hour drive, though.
Great food, lunch buffet
Good Indian food for a relaxed dinner. Options were really neat.
Best Indian food in Indy.
Decent buffet. Service poor. There is water pitchers on the table, but the server came with his own pitcher and tried to pour me water, except he didn't use pitcher correctly and poured out of the side and the water went everywhere. Didn't really help clean it up either. The decor is nice though place was empty.
I eat at india garden multiple times a month, when I lived in downtown I would stop by once or twice a week. This is my favorite place and if I ever leave indy I don't think I will be able to find a replacement. The food is fantastic and the service is irreplaceable!
Ordered from grub hub. Best Indian food!! Came hot and delicious. Highly recommended!
India Garden is a terrible place to get delivery from. They give you old rice and no utensils, plates, etc because they know you cannot complain for delivery orders. They don't really care if you call about a problem either. The food has almost no spice in it and it seems to always come cold (it takes a long time from when the food leaves the restaurant until it gets to you so they must give the drivers a lot of orders). Yeah, I'm done with this place.
I always enjoy spicy food, and for a fact that that crew is very friendly nice attracts more customers to get back. highly recommended and very affordable.
A good Indian restaurant but the curry were too thin. I want to give 3.5 but not possible.
Been eating my way around Indy 2yrs now and this is without question the BEST place around. Food: Unbeatable. Absolutely stellar. Whether you're a carnivore, vegetarian, vegan or otherwise, there are delicious options for all. Staff: Their courtesy and friendliness is only outdone by their genuine interest in giving you an ideal dining experience. Price: Very fair. Highly recommend.
Solid Indian buffet. The food was fairly bland, but it has some good spices in it. The fare is authentic and exactly what I am used to from India, just toned down a little for the American palate. The servers were wonderful and always present when they needed to be, as well as very present to be around. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes Indian food.
Pretty good food, friendly service
We loved the food, i had american friends with me from office and the spice level was just perfect
Food is pretty good and so is the lunch buffet menu
Food was very good, service was effecient
Excellent food, great value. The lunch buffet is just $9. Tasty vegetarian, chicken and lamb dishes.
We had dal tadka ,malai kofta ,naan & zeera rice but zeera rice was not that fresh overall was gud
This place is awesome! Great food for a great price especially their Lunch Buffets!
average indian food around indianapolis...try other available options but not this one
Great for lunch buffet.
Vevay rocks! Best Indian food in Indianapolis!
good food ✌
best avoided; and additionally, do not rely on their posted hours
Excellent food, we had onion bahji's for an app, then tandoori shrimp, lamb korma, and a plain naan.
Best place to have some Indian meals but no dum biriyani. Other dishes are okay with spices and aroma. Not over crowded, well maintained and friendly staff.
I placed an online order at around 9:20 and I knew I had enough time to get there by 10 when they close. I arrived at 9:58 and the guy who gave me my order was all pissy that I didn't show up earlier. If you say you're going to be open until 10 then you need to be open until 10. I understand it's late, but I didn't deserve to be treated like that.
The buffet was pretty solid. I liked their Chicken Tikka Masala!
Favorite Indian in the city. Either location is great. Buffet is very nice, but if you know what you like and want it spicy, order directly from menu.
Always good and something different for lunch depending on the day.
The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and the price is fair.
Service was good. Food was great. Definitely recommend it. Awesome!
Great service but the food was just okay. The Tikka Masala was very watery and the chicken a little dry.
Good food. Was empty when we went. The food is spicy so make sure you choose spice level carefully.
Food and service was great
Great lunch buffet.
Absolutely trash. Please don't waste your money. Shame because it's in downtown and convenient but the food is horrible. Will never go back.
Very nice meal!!
I'm not certain why this is one of the most revered Indian restaurants in Indianapolis. They serve various stuffed naans and call them kulcha and parantha. They serve kebabs that have clearly never seen the inside of a tandoor. While the breads were good, everything else was not even mediocre. The palak paneer and keema mattar were so unbelievably bland that I feel sad for all the folks that eat here thinking they're having good food.
A very nice place, with a wonderful atmosphere. Well appointed decor, and wonderful staff. The food is buffet at lunch, I have not had dinner there, yet. The food is hot, tasty, and always well stocked. Reasonably priced for lunch, and you get a mostly professional crowd, government types, lawyers, and business men at lunch. Nice place to eat.
The food was good. Not the best Indian buffet I've had, but pretty good. The lunch buffet was only $9.80 which is pretty good for anyone downtown trying to get a relatively inexpensive, yet good lunch
This is one of our favorite places to eat. The decor is outstanding, the service is excellant and the food is extraordinary.
Breakfast buffet is delicious!
Ok but food could be better
India Garden has excellent food and service! We booked the day before New Years Eve for a large party on NYE. We had approximately 20 people and the service and food couldn't have been better. Everyone was delighted with their food and how timely it all came out - with no wrong orders either. Great restaurant! We plan to make it an annual event.
I love the lamb krahi from here. I randomly crave it, but only the way India Garden makes it.
Excellent lunch buffet and dinner menu. Location is elegant and clean, and the staff is attentive and efficient. Food is well prepared and delicious. Prices are very reasonable.
Have visited this restaurant many times. Great food. Great service!
Food is pretty good. The mango lassi is really good. All staff seems to be friendly except for our waiter.
Great masala. Service was attentive, polite and helpful. They did place us next to the only other occupied table which was a little annoying.
Good food and value for lunch
The food was ok. Very sweet, not very authentic. Very friendly staff. Nice environment.
The buffet is fantastic! We enjoyed everything we tried. The all you can eat lunch buffet is also quite a bargain for being in downtown Indianapolis.
I don't typically get a chance to go in person, but I do order from them frequently on Grubhub. I particularly recommend the samosas and lamb curry.
Service is not courteous ! They can use some Customer interaction trading .
Amazing food!
Classic North Indian buffet. This used to be my weekly spot when I was in Indianapolis. Good quality food and the workers at the restaurant are hard-working and friendly.
Great place for a reasonably priced group lunch. The food is always fresh and delicious, and there's a great mix of the usual and a few new items. Friendly service and tasty eats!
Really good food, attentive staff, surprisingly nice furnishings for the reasonable prices. We had both veg and non veg thalis, both more than we could eat, with many different tastes, plus rice and a generous amount of naan.
efficient joint for people who eat lunch.
Best buffet in the city. $8.99 will get you the very best Indian food in Indianapolis. The food is delicious - absolutely the BEST Chicken Tika Masala - and the staff is attentive and polite. You can't go wrong, if you're a fan of Indian cuisine. Been coming here for years now.
Great food everytime we go!! They are very accommodating and make vegetarian food with no onion no garlic. Pankaj also does a great job with managing huge orders. The staff is very professional. We have been going for years.
First time eating Indian food It was good nice and clean place. Great price
I had a great experience here while with a few friends. The staff was very friendly and attentive. First impression walking into the restaurant was "Omg this is going to be an expensive meal". They have cloth napkins, candles on the tables and nice dishware. Turns out it's reasonably priced. The food was delicious! The naan was INCREDIBLY good. I cannot wait to come back.
Good indian food, not the most sanitary place though
I ordered a panneer dish for delivery. It was one of the spiciest dishes I have ever had. Usually, restaurants specify what level of spice you want. If there is no indication, it should not be made very spicey. I could not finish half of it. Dissapointed.
The food was great but the sweets were way too sweet
Definitely a downtown lunchtime hotspot. All you can eat lunch buffet for under $10? Amaaaaaaaazing.
Good but expected more flavors can be better for Indian food as Indian cuisine is all about flavors. Service and ambience are good expected some Indian music in background.
Descent food. No frills.
If you wanna eat fake briyani come here It’s like showing a cat for people who doesn’t know tiger
Got the vegetarian as well as the nonvegetarian platters to share with the family. Everything was great and tasted awesome at a great price too!
Good Ambience, fine food . Their lunch buffet is priced at around $9 pretty reasonable for all the options you get .Rating is a Star less as I feel they can reduce the quantity of greasiness their food has .
I ordered tandori chicken . Taste is not good and not fresh .
Sweet people clean I always get curry chicken level 7 and Nana bread with three sauces amazing going back here in a couple weeks for my anniversary
Weekday lunch buffet is affordable and has large variety of tasty dishes.
Good Indian food and decent selection. Not the best Indian food I've ever had but consistent and clean environment. I'm a regular.
Only the tandoori roti was good. Mixed vegetables was a disaster. It was just oddly and boiled cut carrots , potatoes and broccoli with minimal flavors. Chicken sahi korma was tasteless. Raita was again horrible
Tried vegetarian items on lunch buffet - all items were fresh and well prepared ; spices were flavorful and well balanced; spices were not overpowering Typically the chutney ( relishes) are an ignored item by some restaurant- green chutney was good and paired well with the pakoras ( fritters) / veg bhaji Main course items of Navratan Korma (NK), Rajma ( kidney beans), Aloo Baingan and Palak Paneer were good. Could not help 2nd servings of NK & Rajma. Good selection of desserts. I tried the Carrot (Gaajar ) Halwa. A tad bit too sweet for my taste.
If you are looking for Indian food near monument circle in Indianapolis then this is the best place. Ambience is good. They serve traditional North Indian food with drinks. Not so crowded, spacious and easily accessible. Overall good experience with this restaurant.
I love this place it's a buffet clean to the point and really nice delicious food
Not authentic Indian food. It is how majority of the "Indian" restaurants have become in America, trying to adjust their food according to the "American" crowds taste(sweet, not spicy and dull) and in the process they are no longer serving Indian food. Owner has not taken any steps to make his food Indian. Infact the food has got more and more sugar added to it since my last review. You don't feel like eating dessert by end of the meal cause you are already high on sugar.
Loved it. Great place to eat. Waiters are nice.
Love this place! They have so many varietes of food for a decent price. Their samosas are awesome, i always get samosas for starters. Ive tried the malai kofta, paneer masala, matar paneer and palak paneer. My favorite is definitely palak paneer but the paneer masala is a close second. They cater the spice levels according to your likes! They have a lunch buffet I am yet to try but this is my go to place for Indian food. They have locations in broad ripple and downtown indy which is nice.
The food is OK especially if you are looking for Indian food that is not spicy at all. Their lunch buffet was composed of vegetarian and non -vegeterian selections. And they are affordable.
Love the chicken palak. The off menu cauliflower appetizer they have is also really good. If they don’t offer it when you come in you should ask about it.
Food tasted great, but when delivered was luke warm and didn't have utensils. Mint chutney for the samosas was watered down and had no flavor, but the tamarind sauce was good!
Love this place! The chicken tikka masala is amazeballs!
I got food yesterday through Grubhub .food was nasty rice has fungus Navratan korma wasn’t good I called the staff was rude behavior never ever order again
Niice food served with Indian warmth and hospitality. :-)
Been here more than thrice. They have better Indian food than any other Indian restaurant in the downtown area. I love their dal makhni and chicken Tikka with garlic naan. The soothing music and the decorations enhances the ambience. The staff here is courteous.
Love the lunch buffet. Perfect for lunch for one or as a group if you work downtown.
Had lunch buffet here. Except Naan, most of the items were stale. No taste as well.
Being from India i can say this is authentic North Indian food. Good vibe and polite staff. I really liked this place.
Good and well priced lunch buffet. About$10 with a drink. Recently they're changing the assortment of dishes, so you can get something a bit different each visit. I could wish for more vegetables in the choices.
Tasty Indian food
The worst indian food I have ever had (and I've had a lot of indian food)
The food is always great, as is the service. The space is large, moreso than it looks from the outside. There are a good number of table configurations to choose from. The ambience is nothing special, but it's pleasant. This place is firmly in the top three Indian restaurants in Indy. No need to take my word for it; they are a staple in Nuvo's "Best of," awards annually.
Always enjoy the food at India Garden
Food is good, tandoori is little salty, Nan’s are excellent. Chicken and lamb curry is less flavorful... overall it’s good restaurant to try.
like most Indian restaurants, they do a lunch buffet and then menu ordering at dinner. Good and authentic food in a nice setting.
Great restaurant in downtown Indy with amazing lunch buffet and ambience. The buffet has plenty of options, is fresh and tasty and the meat is all-halal. Its also very affordable at just $9. For the price, you can’t beat it. I highly recommend this restaurant for affordable and authentic Indian/Pakistani food.
Great Food and Great People! I have been going here for close to 15 years and have never had anything but a great experience.
Best restaurant around !!! Love this place :))
Got rice mixed with chilly powder when Biriyani was ordered. The servers did not even bother to refill water. Just avoid this place.
This place is always very clean, and the staff are courteous and attentive.
The food was delicious and the guys were polite and down to earth gentlemen.
Very good food. Affordable. Much bigger inside than you would expect from the street.
Great food and very clean. Lamb curry is great, and also keema nann.
If you want real Indian food, don’t come here:)
Food is not up to the mark. All the veg items taste the same. Only things we liked were mango milk shake and mango lassi.
Not a big fan of the lunch buffet but the dinner courses were very good. This place always provides great ambiance and service as well.
Excellent food at CHEAPEST price
Oh my goodness this treasure is so worth getting out in the snow to dine inside! The lunch buffet was everything I needed! The only thing that could have made this meal better was parking, but they can't control the city meters. Definitely plan out parking when you come and give yourself time to enjoy the buffet. A lunch hour doesn't do it justice!
Great food for the price and very clean.
Right off the bat the service was phenomenal. They paid attention to us but there was no hovering. Perfect balance. The food was absolutely fantastic. The waiter's recommendation of wine pairing with the food was spot on. Great prices for your money. Will certainly return again.
Delicious food, huge portions! I ordered the vegetarian thali, which I thought was just a small sampler - but it ended up being 8 courses! For $15 and absolutely delicious! What a great surprise :)
Lunch buffet is legit. The selection is rather small, but it's very good food at a very reasonable price.
Had their lunch buffet on a weekday. The food was alright but not spicy hot the way I like Indian food to be. They had a cold pickle that had some heat, but that doesn't make a meal.
Great food and service
Love this place! Lunch buffet is affordable, food is always hot & fresh, and the atmosphere makes for a great lunch out. Best Indian food in Indy!
Was not happy with the food at all no spice and real blend the chicken Tikka masala taste dirty
The food is delicious, if you're looking for Indian food you should go here
Amazing ambience and price.
Oh my word!!! I have always wanted to try Indian cuisine, but was a bit fearful because most pictures do not make it look very appealing
Good Indian food at Indy downtown
What an excellent dinner! The mango lassi is super tasty, but I kind of wish I had waited to have it for dessert! Everything we ordered was excellent, but I was experiencing some order-envy over my husband's lamb madras. This is definitely our new go-to Indian place from now on.
Wonderful staff, pleasant atmosphere, and delicious food. The fare was so authentic and very flavorful in terms of spice and seasonings. Bring your appetite and a large crew to indulge in the cuisine of India Garden!
The lunch buffet is wonderful! The food is delicious, the wait staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is something to be desired. It's so relaxing and makes the experience much better.
Possibly the worst south Asian place I've tried so far.
POOR. I don't know if any of these good reviews are of the same restaurant. I came here with my friends on Friday night and the food was very subpar. The chicken was very overcooked and tasted like dog chews. I asked for my dish to be spicier and it was not spicy whatsoever. The portion sizes were very low. There were 3 of us at the table, and instead of giving us separate bowls of rice they gave use a slightly larger bowl but not enough for 3 people. When we asked them for extra rice, they charge us an extra $3 on our check. Moreover, there were flies around the restaurant. We will NOT be returning to this place.
Visiting India Garden awakens such fond nostalgic memories of 40 years ago .working in Off Broadway theater on the lower east side of Manhattan, each night our technical crew feasted on this type of cuisine... I'm so honored to relive and re-experience a most splendid time of my life..each and every chance I embark upon the establishment of "India Garden" As Bob Hope would say...Thanks for the memories!!
The worst Indian food I ever had in a buffet
Lunch Time Buffet excellent I recommend this place if you like Indian cuisine. You can't beat the price.
Really good food. A great selection. Staff is always nice and there is never a wait.
What's not to love? The lunch buffet is small but packs a lot in a small space. You get vegetarian, chicken, lamb, or beef. You get salad, hummus, two types of bread, and often there is fruit. The service is good, but be prepared for a busy lunch crowd. A lot of people conduct business there at lunch so it can be loud.
This restaurant serves the best Indian food. The staff members are so nice and attend to your every need as best they can (which is always more than enough). I would highly recommend this restaurant to any couple, family, friends or even explorer!
Fantastic food at reasonable prices. Great location right around the corner from Mass Ave for the start to a fun night out. Staff are friendly and attentive.
Good food made by good ppl
This place is really nice and clean but I felt like the food options for the buffet were minimal. I mean, it's only like a $10 buffet but I did expect more options.
Mmmm a delicious large buffet.
I've been eating at this restaurant at various locations for over 25 years. I love this place!
Always so good. Go with the buffet.
One of the best
I tried to order delivery from them but ended up waiting for more than an hour and a half before calling the restaurant only to find out that they closed for the day. The no-showed my delivery and couldn't bother to call me to tell me that they we're going to give me my food. Luckily, I ordered through Grub-hub, so I was able to get a refund but buyer beware if you order from them directly.
Our server took care of us and remembered our orders without writing them down. 2 locations. And either is good. I've enjoyed their food everytime. And they make sure the spice level is correct.
Love this place. Lunch buffet has good vegetarian options.
Food is terrible !
The food was good and didn't break the bank which is hard to come by downtown
Horrible order in person last time and didn’t get things like I asked after telling multiple time and this time placed order to be delivered by grub hub and the restaurant didn’t give me half my order and I had also call the restaurant to make sure the knew exactly what I wanted and still not even close!!!!!. If I could I’d give 0 stars!!
Best Americanized Indian food.!!
Good place for food
Beautiful setting serves gourmet Indian food
