Called them same day for a surprise delivery and they were incredibly awesome about everything! As someone who has worked in the same industry, I always get excited about great service- nevermind the product. I don’t live downtown but my fiancé works in Fountain Square. They were doing a tattoo event wherein some of the profits went towards veterans so I wanted to surprise them with a little boost through their busy day. Circle City Sweets not only accomated me on short notice, but all the guys raved about everything they received! Decidedly so I’m going to have to do my least favorite thing and drive downtown to check them out in person. Thanks CCS for everything!

I was very disappointed at how the associate handled my request. I called in literally 20 minutes before arriving, to place an order for a King Cake, at which he told me that the King Cakes weren’t made readily available until later in the season. When I asked how long it would take to be ready if I ordered it, he told me tomorrow. However, once I got there he said the earliest I could get it would be Monday. I told him I was confused because I’d just called and was told that it could be ready tomorrow. He said when I called “earlier”, he said that, but at this moment he couldn’t do it.... Needless to say I am irritated that he was flustered and seemed a little bothered by my inquiry, not to mention that I JUST called 20 minutes ago when I was at Meridian & Georgia St. Most of my time getting there was spent trying to find parking. That was poor & dismissive customer service. (I wanted the cake for my birthday as I watched the Saints/Rams game on Sunday, not MONDAY.) Taylor’s Bakery came thru!

Work brought in a big tray of stuff from here. The brownie thing was pretty good, but the cookies were terrible. I'm sorry, but some were burnt (still sitting in the break-room, cause they're not edible and that is saying a lot for my work place). Biases aside, the cookies just did not stack up to the hype.

The Carmel Farmer's Market has a gem when the sweets arrive. Circle City Sweets offers tempting treats from apricot squares to great grain bread, from tasty sugar cookies to decadent brownies. When Cindy brings her tent to the market, she also looks for fresh ingredients for her focaccia bread or her delicious soups. Get there early, for she often runs out (good for her!) of her items.

I visit the booth at the Carmel Farmers Market each Saturday. As someone who has spent significant amounts of time in France, I know a good croissant and I'm always looking for the same in the US. I can confidenly say these are the best croissants/pain au chocolat this side of the Atlantic! Service is very friendly as well!

Best Croissant and Pain Au Chocolat in Indy and the surrounding area. Several coffee shops carry their pastries and they have booth in the City Market, as well as a few farmers markets. Simply amazing.

I ordered a chocolate cake for my significant other's birthday. It was lopsided, which I could have overlooked as long as it tasted good. But no, it didn't. The cake itself, was a dark chocolate and was actually pretty good. Very moist. The filling was OK, but the frosting was horrible! Absolutely HORRIBLE. It was as if they'd poured cocoa powder directly onto lard and smeared it on the cake. Very unhappy, it was definitely not worth the price.
