They were clearly almost done cleaning up and ready to go and the two nice gentlemen that were there made us two glorious complex drinks with a smile and a kind heart. After a terrible experience at Milktooth we found this little gem near Bluebeard (an Indy favorite!). The staff were wonderful, kind, and hard working. We enjoyed their coffee and had a great time sitting out on the patio. If you're in the area, make sure you give Calvin Fletcher's a visit.

Great spot for coffee just down the street. Though to be honest I don't think I've ever tried the coffee. I am super picky with chai tea lattes and they made one of the best I've had. I look forward to trying other items on their drink menu! The place itself has a great atmosphere if you're there to catch up on homework or simply get out of the cold with a warm drink. Lots of local artwork decorate the walls which are for sale if you see something you want to take home. Staff is always very friendly and gets your coffee out as soon as possible. I've had the line get pretty long and it's tough to stay patient! I think it's awesome they donate their tips to local charity work. They just need the option to tip if you pay with a card because I never carry cash on me. Stop by if you are looking to try something new.

I immediately walked up and friendly patron inquired why I seemed nervous. I explained I was looking for a dog friendly coffee place for my morning off and since the outdoor seating didn't seem to have a server I was out of luck. He then offered to watch my dog for me but told me dogs are welcome inside to order and eat. The experience just got better from there. Shelia was informative and helpful in ordering, atmosphere was great and other patrons were extremely laid back and friendly (most importantly accepting and welcoming of my dog). Hidden gem I had not discovered and will 100% be making a return. DISCLAIMLER: this was a Wednesday morning.

This place is awesome. The coffee is fantastic and the price for a quality pour over is a steal. They source their beans locally and are in the process of getting their own roaster. In my opinion, this is the best spot for third wave coffee in Indianapolis. The place has a lot of character and was busy every time I went. There is a lot of space inside to grab a spot and relax or get work done. The staff was friendly and knew their stuff.

I have been here multiple times. Calvin Fletcher is in a great location on Virginia Ave accessible to both Fletcher Place and Fountain square and wonderful atmosphere! The place itself is great. That being said the coffee is terrible. There I said it, it's over-roasted highly acidic (burnt coffee) taste that no amount of cream and sugar can mask. The creamer options aren't great either. I must visit this coffee shop, I only order tea now.

This is the kind of café you want to visit every day, while it's raining, when it's sunny, or just whenever you need a comfortable place to be and have some coffee. Excellent espresso, wide selection of traditional and sweet coffee drinks, bites of food and sweets, plenty of outlets for working—this place has it all. Indianapolis' most perfect café in my opinion and the staff is always helpful and nice. My favorite combination—mocha in a ceramic mug with a doppio on the side. To top it off, they do a ton of community work by donating tips to charity. This place makes me feel warm and fuzzy!

My 4 year old daughter had a day off school. She and I headed downtown to fountain square for some fun. We were walking by Calvin Fletcher'a and my daughter said, "you like coffee and you haven't been here. We should go in." Well, how can I argue with that logic. The coffee shop felt roomy, yet cozy. The staff was so fun to be around. They seemed to really like working there. It is a good location and I really liked the Fletcher Place Blend coffee. Looking forward to another trip here.

Two things I like about this place: 1. It's cheap. A cappuccino costs about half of a cappuccino at Milk tooth. 2. Space. The place is huge for a coffee shop. Stopped in for a dirty chai tea with my sister and it was the absolute best I've ever had. Nothing else even comes close. It was the perfect amount of spice, sweet, and espresso! So gross! Barista put her finger in my pour over. When I questioned her about it, she told me she had washed her hands (the hands I had seen her run through her hair and scratch her mouth) and that they have to stick their finger in ALL pour overs. What?? She offered to let me watch her wash her hands and make me another. No thank you Hepatitis B! I took the coffee, walked out and threw it away. Worth wasting $4 just to get out of there immediately.

After a few years of stopping in CF's from time to time when in Fountain Square, I've never gotten less than excellent service and exceptional beverages, from iced mocha to cappuccino. Good vibe too. Fresh coffee, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere make this my favorite café in Indianapolis. For those interested, they sell bags of coffee in ground and whole bean form. Also, they have a limited, daily supply of breakfast foods, which are rather affordable and tasty, too. Parking is a pain, but that's not their fault. They also have free WiFi for their customers. I have been there at least 22 times, and thankfully, every visit has been pleasant. Enjoy your coffee!

I have been driving by this coffee shop for a long time before finally deciding to make a stop just recently. And I can't believe I didn't try it before then. I ordered one of their best-selling espresso and it was definitely the best date I had. Their baristas really know to brew a good cup. Their place was ultraclean and cozy which is really perfect for a coffee time. Plus, they have the most considerate workers ever. They put the customers needs in top list priority. And now, I dare to say that this is my new go to coffee shop.

This is another coffee shop in Indy that I want to love, but that's missing the mark just a little bit. While the people and environment are pretty awesome, the coffee and food miss the mark a little bit. As is my usual, I decided to go with the standard drip coffee. Yes it's a little boring, but it's usually predictable and reliable. Unfortunately the beans were either over-roasted or over-extracted resulting in a pretty strong but unbalanced cup of coffee. I wish that was all, but the food didn't fare much better. I'm also a fiend for a good breakfast sandwich, and so I was really excited to find one on their menu for under $3.00. My excitement wore of pretty quickly though when they delivered the food, as it was most certainly a microwave breakfast sandwich (from my vast knowledge of breakfast sandwiches I believe it to be of the Jimmy Dean variety). So here's the rub. Both the food and coffee left something to be desired, but for some reason I still plan on going back. There's something about the atmosphere that I really loved. I'm hopeful that they will figure everything else out in time.
