Ugh. Baristas/workers are so stuck up. Haven’t always been, but definitely are nowadays. Pretentious & unwelcoming. For a place that boasts to “be kind”, I find this weird & very off putting. Drip coffee is not good. Pour overs are, however. Avocado toast is bland & definitely needs to be seasoned more. It is inconsistent whenever I order it. The only things this place has going for it are the cocktails & that a lot of their ingredients are “house made”.
Such a good coffee stop in Peoria! Love the open space and quality drinks. They craft creative drinks, I had the orange blossom latte iced and loved it! They also offer cocktails but I didn't have a chance to try them.
Great coffee, wonderful avacado toast, and a funky sleek modern interior that makes it the perfect spot to relax. Plus they have free filtered water and a quiet little patio are to use as well. This is a great coffee shop to hang out in.
Coolest place in Peoria! The coffee is great, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is open, relaxed, and full of natural lighting. They also serve cocktails, beer, and small plates. Perfect place to get some work done, hang out, or read
Coffee was good served fast and fresh, service was good, the only issue was the provided Wi-Fi doesnt work with everyone on it, may possibly look into upgrading?
Five stars because it is so beautiful, has great coffee, and has plenty of staff during busy hours. I will say don't go here looking for a deal, the coffee is EXPENSIVE!! That is all caps for a reason. I get lattes with Almond milk so I'm used to that, but this is easily $1 more than other fancy coffee shops, and $2-3 more than Starbucks. Worth the money, but just be aware.
Love the vibe here and they have great natural light inside.
Drinks creativity should have it's own section... 6 out of 5 stars
Excellent single origin coffee & unique lattes.
Quick friendly service. Brews have been great each visit. Place was packed yet quick service.
Always enjoy my coffee and the atmosphere at Zion. However, the staff could be a much friendlier than they are!
The only café I go to when I need to get my job done. Doing work here is so relaxing. Oh did I say the coffee is amazing? That's probably more important.
i am not the target audience of this place and they have been nothing but warm & welcoming every time i have come in! they take care to know who you are when you come in frequently. i love their nitro and the fact that you can get a lot of dishes veganized! i definitely recommend the toast with 309cultures kimchi on it. also shout out to banu!! she tries really hard to make zion a place for everyone and really cares deeply for the business. very rarely do you see owners/runners put in as much effort to get to know everyone as she does.
Avacatoe toasted is very good. They do not use coffee cups for their Latte. It gets cold faster and presents like it a juice glass. Not impressed
We are so excited to have stumbled on this coffee shop on our visit to Peoria. The vibe is amazing, the coffee is delicious. Very modern, bright and clean! The avocado toast with egg was delicious!
Zion Coffee will forever be my favorite stop when traveling eastward. The coffee never fails to be amazing, the place never disappoints in terms of style or decor. People that can maintain such an aesthetically pleasing, and yet such a warm, welcoming, environment are people I need in my life. The baristas are not always overtly friendly, which as a barista myself, I understand because they are often busy. However, I really appreciated the last time I was there, the barista engaged me in conversation even while she was busy making drinks. That means so much, especially since I know how difficult that is!
Good atmosphere, good seating, service is friendly, probably a good place to study. But just head to Starbucks if you want good coffee.
Good coffee, kind of a cold/modern atmosphere
Awesome stylish, modern, upbeat atmosphere! Start your day out full of enthusiasm after dropping in for a morning coffee.
I absolutely love Zion. It is the best coffee in Peoria.
Fabulous coffee and lovely baristas <3
Great espresso drinks, delicious pastries and small plates.
@zioncoffeeco has great drinks and great events in a clean tranquil spot! Come enjoy it.
I’ve tried Zion a few times because I have friends who like it and the building is lovely but the staff is almost always rude, short, and seem to think very highly of themselves. It’s hard to get them to customize anything and the drinks aren’t anything special. The breads and such I’ve had were very good. Just wish the staff was more friendly and accommodating like at other locally owned shops!
Wow. This place is just so beautiful. I love the look of the inside. The coffee is amazing and very reasonably priced and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I will be back.
Great atmosphere. Great coffee. Very reasonably priced.
Amazing coffee Very clean Friendly staff Great place to have coffee in Peoria downtown
Great atmosphere, with large windows and so much light. Service is always good, and coffee /drinks are excellent.
This is my favorite coffee in Peoria. The lattes are fantastic and the baristas are generally pleasant. My only gripe is that I attempted (twice) to message the business on Facebook to ask about their coffee beans as I was interested in purchasing some, but I was left on read both times.
Great service, fabulous coffee, and yummy food!
Food is great, staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great for studying or causal chit chat. Prices are kind of high but well worth it for the value of care that us been put into this place. I will be back for sure!
Amazing. This place feels like home.
Great atmosphere, open space, and a creative-but-still-familiar menu make for a great place to work on classwork, spend an afternoon reading, or catch up with friends. The staff is also wonderfully polite! On top of all that, they have great gifts for a coffee or tea lover like cool mugs and fancy French presses. Definitely a great local business.
Always a great place to grab a nice coffee.
Drinks, food, atmosphere, conversation - all fantastic.
Nice and clean look. I couldn't find the menu online ahead of time and we couldn't view it until we got up to order. I did not like this as I like to contemplate my options. I added the menu here for others.
Excellent chai latte! One of the best I've ever had! The location is very cute and trendy.
Definitely a cool atmosphere. The staff was friendly. They just missed one key aspect of a good coffee shop. The coffee is disgusting
this place is so inviting and the people that work here are so welcoming. it’s a great space to hang out, get work done, and relax. can’t wait for more locations!
Amazing food, great coffee. Try the chia pudding!
Amazing staff and wonderful choices
This was our first coffee experience with Zion & it was good. Our "pour over" 12 oz mug was excellent-robust, hot & full of caffeine! We at first wondered why there were three baristas behind the counter, but soon figured it out as there was a steady flow of clientele. The acoustics were a little hard for my hearing aids to digest, but that is my problem & should not reflect on the quality of the coffee experience. We will stop in again.
Not a fan of the avacado toast. Good hot chocolate and atmosphere. A bit expensive
Received, but did not order the huge serving of attitude by the ladies at the counter who did not anticipate the needs of a person using a cane, ordering 2 coffees to go. Lids? Get them yourself around the counter. A carrier? Gahhh, eye roll, sets carrier on counter. Could you push the coffees a little closer to me so I can put them in the carrier and do your job for you? Stares daggers.
I can not express enough appreciation and satisfaction from Zion!
Friendly staff, awesome coffee, great bright space, perfect place to catch up with someone over a cup of coffee or read a good book
Amazing place with delicious coffee!! Will definitely go back. Gotta try some of the pastries next time.
Instagram in real life, only for the fake .
Great looking place & free WiFi. Coffee is good, not great and refills for regular are overpriced. Brioche and ricotta was really good. Front staff need to be more welcoming. This is a first impression from a first timer. Will probably try other spots before I'd settle here
Good coffee. Probably my favorite atmosphere in Peoria. The outdoor patio is really nice to sit in when the weather allows it.
Perfect modern coffee bar! I had the opportunity to visit Zion Coffee Bar twice recently and both times was very impressed. Zion is a perfect representation of a what a modern coffee shop can be and should aspire to. Both times I visited Zion it was very busy. However, I didn't feel that it deterred from my experience. The atmosphere is very crisp, clean, and fresh here. Many people around me were on the computers working and I feel that Zion's atmosphere would be very encouraging for generating new ideas. The openness of the shop is what I enjoyed most though. The coffee bar is directly located in the middle and the roaster is feet away from behind glass walls. I was very impressed by the overall presentation. Zion Coffee Bar's overall look though only enhances the fact that they know what they're doing when it comes to coffee. I ordered a vanilla latte and it was very delicious. The latte was presented in a glass similar to a high ball glass, which made for an impressive display. The latte was very delicious too! I even decided to purchase a 4oz bag of coffee, which I have used twice now, and was also equally impressive. Zion Coffee Bar is a gem of coffee shops and shows what the future of coffee can be.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Zion Coffee Bar. It's a one of a kind coffee shop, especially for the Peoria area. Love going here and working, internet speeds are FAST. The drinks are amazing. They have seasonal drinks, that are all delicious. They have great healthy food, with a very trendy, hip, influence. They have alcoholic drinks and have house cocktails. Best of all, the owners are amazing and have a real touch with the community. Zion coffee is bringing the heat to the Peoria area, and we're lucky to have them!
I would go here many times a week if I lived near Peoria. Unique drinks and they roast coffee beans on site. The coffee tastes as if someone cared when they made the drink
Very sleek and modern interior. Affordable drinks with moderate proportions and a great deal of variety. Highly active but casual and professional. Great place for a brief visit or a morning meeting.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, cool location
I come here somewhat often, when I do I plan on it taking a minute for them to best serve me. I’ve read a few bad reviews complaining about how it’s not for normal people, which in turn makes me think the people claiming this see everyone in the establisent as not normal.... this perspective can be felt loud and clear. It’s a very straightforward place the only thing they lack on is giving you a clear cut defined menu. That is of course because you basically make your own here. Coffee isn’t cheap because the way they source it and brew it for you. I’m willing to pay a little more because of that and I’m honest with them everytime I visit about not knowing what I want exactly. I put my trust in the baristas considering it’s their job, and they have never disappointed. Tell them how you feel and what you want and they deliver. As far as the menu goes the only thing I could possibly suggest is they say on it at the counter if you don’t know what you want or even if you do but don’t know how to order it that’s why they are their. You can’t possibly expect them to read your mind or taste buds. The place is clean as a whistle always buzzing with business, which explains some people’s perspective of being looked over. Treat this place as your local bar and they will treat you like a usual from the first to last time you visit!
Awesome place! Might want to look into some sound tiles for the room because it is pretty loud. If there was some sound absorption I would do 5 stars.
Love going to Zion. Great coffee and treats. Nice place. Probably the only place I don't mind pooping at outside of my house.
Nice place with good ambience. Fairly quiet as well.
Super clean and comfortable, Apple-esque atmosphere. If Steve Jobs was alive and in Peoria, he would go here. Service was great.
Americano was a bit more bitter than I liked. Ambiance was great though! I plan to come back and try something else in case I got unlucky
Great service, delicious drinks, clean store
The coffee was very overpriced, not very good, not very hot and took long time to get. I just wanted decaf coffee, but they don't keep that brewed so I had get "pour over" which is just the manual equivalent and took way too long for just a cup of coffee. The atmosphere was nice and service friendly.
Food was so tasty. Fast, efficient, and courteous service. Menu is like a cafe in Indianapolis I loved.
Super trendy place. Friendly staff. Delicious coffee drinks. Also serve mixed drinks and gourmet toast. Toast seems silly, but once you've had it, you'll understand. Quite delicious. Neat location in Peoria. Overall a fun place, and a regular stop whenever we're in town. A bit pricey, but it's quality food/drinks, so you are getting what you pay for.
Nice interior design, creative workspace, and great coffee. All around win.
I can't imagine how anyone could ever give this place less than 5 stars. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the service--it's all way above what Peoria typically has to offer. Try the avocado toast with a poached egg on their fresh-baked sourdough bread--with any of their coffees. Eat and sip slowly, enjoy the tasteful music, the light, the crisp-cozy decor...you'll see what I mean.
This is always a great place to go and have a cup of coffee. Plenty of parking around there.
High quality coffee served by a friendly staff in a beautifully designed shop. I recommend the nitro cold brew and the avocado toast!
Any coffee shop where I see a roaster upfront and sleek espresso machine; that you still hand temper the shots is a plus in my books. This gem of a hip coffee shop is in the heart of downtown. You can take some well deserved time off to enjoy a fabulous cup of coffee or tea with decadent pastries. I love the vibe and the staff is very welcoming to boot. If you drive they have reserved parking across the way to park. Take the time to visit as I am sure it won't be your last.
Beautiful atmosphere. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They even offer alcoholic beverages, which I was not aware of of!
Great place and atmosphere
THIS PLACE!!! I don't have pics, but HERE is where you want to be!! The products, the people, the service, the atmosphere!!! Neighborhood GEM! HIGHLY Recommended! (Will update with pics) -**Thank me Later**
We love this coffee shop!
A great place for coffee and a meeting.
I drove half an hour just to try this place out because I have heard good things, and I drove half an hour just to be disappointed. The employees were snobby and stuck up, and kept giving me dirty looks the entire time I was there. The coffee was honestly, bland and sad. The immediate vibe I got when I walked in here, was that it was a place for stuck - up hipsters -- I was right. I would personally never come here again. It's neither worth my time nor money to be treated that way again.
By far the worst coffee I've ever had! Very pretentious staff. Too many hipster kids. Requirements to be in here are to own an Apple product, have air pods, skinny jeans, a beanie, full beard, button up shirt from the 70s, or athleisure wear. Also doesn't hurt if you know how to play the banjo. .. but just clawhammer style.
Good iced latte, but it was a bit pricey. More expensive than a venti iced latte from Starbucks and a lot smaller. The atmosphere of the place reminded me of a hospital hallway.
