This Coffee Shop is included in the category of Brunch restaurant.
Luis was so helpful! I left a folder behind and called to see if they could locate it. The young lady on the phone said she would call me if they located it. I mentioned we had just left and I was positive I left it there and I was sure they threw it out. She said she'd have someone check and call me. I walked back because I wanted to make sure they went through garbage before more time passed. I walked in and saw Luis. He went to look in garbage can and found my folder!! Thank you so much Luis! I appreciate your help! Now about the food... Food was decent. Large portions. Our waiter was friendly and checked in with us often. This part was pleasant and I would consider eating here again.
Good breakfast place with a nice selection of options. Tried the cinnamon roll french toast and wow was it good. Also they have some good gluten free and vegetarian options. We had a large group and service was great, kitchen delivered food fast which is a must for breakfast.
Good food and service but the coffee want that great.
Nice food, friendly staff
Good food n service!
Lots of room, good service, busy place even on a Friday morning.
Great coffee! Very professional staff! Great portion sizes
A five egg omelette is awesome.
Super friendly and knowledgeable service
As always the yolk did not disappoint!!! Excellent customer service!!! .. nice menu selection and great tasting food!!... this place is a must-try!!!!
Always great food and a great experience.
I had a great breakfast for what I thought was a great price and was offered coffee under the impression that it was included with my breakfast. I was only told that it was not included after it came time to pay. Make sure to tell your customers if something is included. Aside from that everything else at this location was very enjoyable, especially the restaurant atmosphere. The manager took off the cost of the coffee to make up for the confusion. Thank you. This was back in 2014, but I was going through some papers and just found the receipt now.
Very friendly staff. Quick service, we didn't have a wait (Sunday morning 930). We both ordered the biscuits and gravy meal. It was great and filling. Coffee was nice and fresh. Very cute decor, clean. They were busy and the wait staff hustled, but you didn't feel as if you were rushed to eat and get out.
IHop? Not close! Walking into a blissful morning! Being greeted seated by a happy to serve waiter/waitress only kicks off what is sure to be a journey through a well blended atmosphere of what seems new but yet familiar. Food to get your tatse buds dancing. From the familiar breakfast foods to the well thought out and delicious health conscious 'Kale Scrambler' (I highly recommend trying). A moment you'll never forget.
Yum! Excellent breakfast
Great food and menu choices. Fast service as well.
Lovely place with loads of options. The banana bread french toast was really nice. Try it.
This place is wonderful! The food portions are generous and the flavors are fantastic. Everything came out hot and fresh. Our waitress was super sweet and gave great recommendations of what to try. The chicken and waffle was awesome! I will definitely be back!
Good service and great food. Portions are large enough for two.
Good is just ok. Nothing extraordinary but good.
Hamburger was ok.
Above market prices for somewhat above average food. Atmosphere is fun, staff is friendly. It's probably more 4 stars than 5 as nothing I ate blew my socks off, but was satisfied nonetheless.
My wife and I came here for breakfast for her birthday. All we talked about was how amazing the food was! Service was also spot on, but the food is will leave to speechless and insanely full. Highly reccomend!!
Great avacado toast and coffee.
My sister raved about the place. So we get there place the order & waited for over an hour to get the food and over easy eggs were cooked but cold. I asked for a side of sausage gravy & they bring like a shot glass size. Then the bill! Sorry way too expensive.
Visiting Chicago for my first time, and this has been our go-to spot for at least 3 breakfast meals! Great service & prices are on-par with what is expected. Food is delicious! Big restaurant but yet feels cozy. Definitely will come back here next time.
Service was great, one of the most delicious breakfasts I have ever had! I highly recommend the Avacado Toast!!
I’ve attended the establishment two times now and I will continue to come back as long as I am in Chicago. The food is unbeatable in the surrounding neighborhoods and the service is high quality. I’ve gotten a classic egg and hashbrown breakfast as well as a sweet French toast covered in fruit. Both dishes were delicious! They have other locations in the city, so if you are thinking of a breakfast place to go, choose Yolk!
Very good. Yummy. Great waitress.
The food and service was great for the value.
Kind of noisy, waitstaff only moderately attentive. Large amounts of delicious breakfast and brunch food though. $12-15.
Yolk has a twist on traditional breakfast favorites. I ordered corned beef hash with eggs and coffee. Server and staff were friendly, my food was okay. I don't know that I would return, but I would recommend Yolk as a viable option.
Always busy place for all-day breakfast and lunch. They do a good job and special orders are not a problem. Very friendly and attentive service.
Good breakfast, nice service, and cost was reasonable for Chicago
Delicious food. I especially liked the crepes.
Nice place. Food was good. Husband had chicken and waffles and he liked it. Pancakes were fluffy and sweet. Ee enjoyed our visit.
The best breakfast in town.
We stopped here on our way out of town back to Iowa. It was quite busy but the service was phenomenal and the food was out-of-this-world. I hold a special place in my heart for good breakfast food and not everyone can do it right, but Yolk certainly does. Reasonable prices, fantastic portions for your dollar, and friendly service from beginning to end. Can't wait to come back on our next visit to Chicago!
I was so disappointed with the way the waitress treated my boss and her kids. It totally felt like she was annoyed she had to wait on us. Everytime she came to the table she would give an attitude, she even huffed and puffed when we asked for a substitution to one of our meals. The food a Yolk is ALWAYS good, the ambiance is cute, clean and welcoming. I love Yolk, but I was very disappointed in our service this time around.
Love this place. Always get breakfast at one if these when in town.
Are you hungry and want to get served before 40 minutes? Go somewhere else. Do you like a nice greeting at the door by the hostess? Well.... run, run and run because they don't give a s...... Food is mediocre at best and I really don't understand why so many good reviews!!! Never coming back and I will not recommend to anyone.
Had an unbelievably good ribeye steak with eggs over easy and an upgrade to berries. The steak was juicy and perfectly cooked, the eggs cooked perfectly inside and out, and the berries must have been hand picked they were so sweet. I’m not usually this high on breakfast places because everyone knows how hard it is to find a good steak and eggs these days but Yolk delivered big time.
Fast seating on a Sunday noon, great attentive service. Large servings, good food. Noisy. May be better on a weekday or earlier.
The best pancakes I've ever had, and they weren't even the best part of the meal. I got the El Torero Scrambler with grits and not only was the flavor amazing, I felt it really nourished my body :) A welcome change while traveling. My husband and I both came away satisfied - definitely a good amount of food for the price. The coffee was incredible as well, and our server Tarvis was top notch! He was extremely friendly and professional and made our breakfast a truly great experience. Go here. Now. Stop looking around for a great breakfast spot because this can't be beat!
Food was high quality. Wait staff was very attentive. Great ambiance and would make a great meeting place to enjoy conversations. Would definitely be back. Wish there was a location in Central Texas.
Very nice restaurant for breakfast. Good menu and good value. Good service. Would recommend this restaurant. We will return.
Good spot. Great food & service I always find street parking (a plus).
My Chili taste was like out of a can bought in Walmart. Service very slow and it took endless till were served. I won't come back. One star because the waitress was very friendly
Loved this place! Our server was great! He answered any questions we had about the menu. He made certain we were given coffee right away and our cups were always being warmed up or refilled either by our server or another throughout our meal. I was even offered a to go cup when we were leaving. Our food was fantastic! I will most definitely return to this restaurant and will recommend it to others!!
Great food!!! Sunday brunches might have a bot of a wait but it's worth the wait
Awesome breakfast fare
SIMPLY AWESOME """
Good food good service.
Decent place for breakfast. Service is great too. Opens early. I liked their omlettes.
Just your usual brunch place with everything you might want for brunch.
Service is almost always fast and friendly. There is usually a wait. Food is decent, nothing fancy but fine for diner style food.
Great selection. Fresh food. Odd seasonings trying to be a little too different maybe? Service could be better or more attentive even when not busy.
After a trip to Yolk on Wells, we quit going to look for any other breakfast places. Excellent service by everyone, but, Gloria did our table and from then on we asked for her because of her exceptionally caring attitude. After our days there, she felt like part of the family. Oh, the food! Great big portions, endless coffee, and reasonable big city downtown prices. We steered other hotel guests there. Great place, exceptional staff.
Fantastic place for breakfast/brunch!
The food was definitely worth the wait. Will be back. Service was smooth, friendly and efficient.
Our family stopped in here for a late lunch on Easter Sunday. The hostess was welcoming and got us seated right away. Place was very clean and the staff super friendly. I had the corned beef hash and it was very tasty. My wife had one of the skillets and she enjoyed her food as well. Kids had plenty of options and enjoyed their pancakes. Would gladly come back to Yolk
Love my pineapple breakfast. So nice thanks. Staff so nice
I had a delicious breakfast here at the bar. Awsome food and staff
Great food, nice staff.
Would like to put 4.5 stars for the menu...would eat here again The menu is part of what makes this place worthy of just more than four stars! There are many options; some standard fare, some innovative, some healthy and some indulgent. Appreciate the ability to customize to accommodate dietary restrictions and also just for preference. Our server was friendly and pretty attentive during Sunday brunch. It’s a casual, cozy place as opposed to many of the “get yourself cleaned up, dressed and presentable to brunch” places the dominate the area. Like the warm feel and relaxed vibe.
Best corned beef hash and eggs I’ve ever had. Corned beef made in house.
Breakfast Mac and cheese.. amazing. Orange strawberry juice... Amazing. Overall... Amazing
Food was amazing. There are virtually no vegan options aside from the veggie skillet but the rest of the food was great. Just leave the vegans at home ;)
Great portions & delicious ☕️
Good food. Busy as usual, but always a smile on the waitresses face and busboys.
Great food and atmosphere.
Great place for breakfast. Good service pleasant atmosphere. Corned beef hash is very good. Their oatmeal as well.
I eat here all the time. The food is great, the portions are large, and the staff are very attentive. I've never left disappointed or hungry. Prices are reasonable, it's usually $15-20 a person including coffee.
Very filling! Tasty, good service, spacious seating. I will be back!
Best Breakfast ever!!!
I got the Farm House and Cinnamon roll French toast and it was so good!! The people were very friendly, the red velvet sweet single was so good also! I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a place to eat great breakfast
Very good breakfast option. Large portions of good quality food. I had the homemade corned beef hash. Not the best I've had but good. However, the blueberry pancakes that came with it were excellent! Not the cheapest breakfast option, but worth the visit.
Good but afterall its breakfast. Outrageously priced.....even for Chicago. Breakfast for 2 ...$33
Good food, although the service was a little bit slow
Service & food was good after they found me after 8-10 minutes
This was my first visit and I enjoyed it! The cinnamon roll french toast is a must try!!
Great customer service, delicious food, nice ambient not bad at all
I give it 1 star since the people were ride here and one guy that works there white guy, with mustache and beard young dude kept on staring at me for no reason. He kept on having a problem with my foot since I have a boot on it. He also kept on stepping my foot no reason at all and never apologized for it. I was with somebody and he only harassed me when she wasn't looking or went to the bathroom. If u don't want to be harass go to yolk at streeterville the people are more friend near navy pier
Went there this morning Was really looking forward to the Meal when I arrived There were only 2 other customers in the establishment I set for 10 minutes in not one employee recognized the fact I with sitting there I was never offered a menu something to drink or anything I ended up getting up and walking out extremely disappointed
Absolutely delicious breakfast food! A HUGE menu, will definitely be returning.
I like the coffee but the iron man eggs were really bad. I was sick all day long!
Surprised that it wasn't more crowded for brunch on Saturday at 10 am, but hey, that's great! I love the skillet choices here, and they do a good job with the kids. Fast and friendly. Great location!
this was a decent breakfast spot. Not terrible, but not mind blowing either.
Great menu, great service
Dining here is a total splurge from my budget's point of view, but if the pricing is within your means (or the company's buying), the delicious fare here as well as the number of solid choices, service and decor make this a good fit for a business or team breakfast or lunch.
Overcrowded, insane waiting time, people are crammed like cattle - you can bump the neighbor customer is literally within an.arms reach. Food is like everywhere else of the interchangeable places.
Great breakfast place with a lot of options. I had the iron man omelette which is made with egg whites and has a bunch of good veggies. The chopped avocado inside the omelette was better than the usual avocado on top of omelettes. I like that instead of toast as a side for the omelette, you can opt for two pancakes instead. Best of sweet and savory breakfast worlds.
Pancakes, Chorizo omelet with potatoes
One of the best brunches I've ever had! I definitely recommend this spot if you want breakfast in the afternoon!
great food! beautiful atmosephere
Solid, simple, reasonably priced (a tad expensive at times) place for breakfast. It is neither up-scale nor a dive. Service is good and the menu has a wide range of... you guessed it... eggs. As long as you're not expecting too much, this place will do the trick for a casual, no-nonsense breakfast experience.
Very friendly staff and great casual dining experience. Thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast fare, especially the corned beef hash.
Delicious food, delivered quickly & BYOB was a plus!
Red velvet French toast is a winner
Love the veggie skillets at Yolk :) could do better with Chai Latte.
So good, so clean
Nice spot to grab a breakfast bite. The atmosphere is nondescript, feels a little bland. It's essentially a diner with a mark-up. Great food though, with servings enough to share, if you go with a friend. Kind staff.
Long wait on the weekends, but worth it. Friendly service, great food, nice decor!
Great service, good food, and the kitchen is fast and clean!
I've been to a couple locations. The food is consistently good quality and flavor. Service is relatively slow but the employees are nice.
Best breakfast I've ever had and really good coffee
Great food and service
Very good breakfast food. I've never had lunch. Good coffee, great biscuits and gravy and awesome egg scrambles. Always very clean. Friendly staff.
Great food, great service. Even when busy, you get fantastic service.
Delicious and filling. We will definitely return
Amazing breakfast! Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is upbeat. I loved it!
I had their pancake special on Wednesday and it was Awesome!!! It was strawberry cheesecake stuffed pancakes topped with fresh strawberries and some type of strawberry get it syrup. Couldn't finish it. Awesome!!!
Can never go wrong with breakfast here
Average breakfast at best. Orange juice is not freshly squeezed but store bought by the gallon. They don't have hash browns but have cubed potatoes that you can find in your grocery store freezer. Biscuits and gravy had barely any gravy. I'm not sure why this place is still popular. It used to be very good but has definitely gone downhill. Our waitress was nice though.
Yolk is great. The employees are awesome, and the food is phenomenal. We actually went 2 days in a row during a 4 day stay in Chicago. Try the potato pancakes. Yummy.
The manager is amazing here and the service is always spot on!
Had bad service. Food was cold. Not impressed
Here are the good things about this place: The fact you can put your name on the list before you get there and you can see the wait time. The fact you can get a coffee or a bakery item as a walk in or while you wait for your table. It's cute inside. The staff, although seemed busy were veryv nice. The things I didn't enjoy: The coffee... Just yuck. I like strong coffee. This was more like tar. The food... I love crepes, especially savory ones. I ordered the West Coast Crepe with scrambled eggs, smashed avocado, and mushroom... The crepe batter was too sweet and the interior was an amalgamation of super soft indiscernable ingredients which would be expected, however they had no taste. Not seasoned at all. It just tasted gross .My aunt ordered the same thing and said the same thing. The cheesy grits were just that. Cheese in grits with no other seasoning. No salt. Nothing. Plain. The wait for our food was long and although it was a Sunday, other tables were getting their food much faster than the 4 people who ordered at my table. Probably won't be back.
Place was super cute, but the food was quite bland! Ordered the avocado toast and the corned beef hash and thought that both lacked some flavor. Corned beef in particular seemed pretty dry. They also never brought me the pancakes I ordered but at least the waiter was super nice about it and gave me the drinks for free.
Great service and the food was delicious!!! Gloria was our server and always made sure our cup was full with hot coffee! This was our first time here. We don’t live close to this location but anytime we visit the city, I want to stop in again.
Great spot, huge menu & portions. Staff lo ely, highly recommended
Great service. Great food.
Great well worth the money good service
My husband and I absolutely loved this place. The food was amazing, the potato pancakes are to die for. They have a really good hot sauce here, it was probably some of the best hot sauce I have had in my short stay in Chicago. The wait staff was friendly, and very attentive. A+++ for this place. If you need a hearty, filling breakfast, this is where you should go.
Great Service, Good food. Clean and Relaxing
Second time visiting this chain brunch place in Chicago. The wait is relatively shorter than other popular brunch places in the area and the food is good.
Very kind staff, very good food
Amazing food and the "single portions" make the huge menu much easier to absorb. Great service and despite it being SUPER busy, our wait wasn't too bad. Even if we did wait, food would have been well worth it.
I always get the Santa Fe frittata with no bacon (I don’t eat meat)with tortillas and extra potatoes ! They never disappoint !! I love them!
Large selection of brunch food. Good and polite service.
Very good food and nice staff would definitely recommend
I'm a bougie closet foodie, so my Yolk experience was less than righteous. As a matter of fact, Yolk food, service, atmosphere are all mediocre. They serve food and the place is clean. Really only slightly better than a Waffle House in the South. And Yolk is only better because it's cleaner.
The flame - great burger if that's what you are looking for
Great food options and large portions. Food is good and service was great the 2 days we went in a row. It should be noted that there were only about 10 other tables of people while we were there so it was not busy. We've been to the Streeterville location in the past and it's been packed.
We frequent Yolk, and visit all of their locations. Generally the people are great and the food is exactly what you expect. This is a solid dining venue with consistent food and no surprises, good or bad. The server was good, as always, and everyone at the table enjoyed their food. Prices run a bit high over all, but are consistent with similar establishments. We had an uncharacteristic failure on an egg order. Our person ordered scrambled but what we received was a bit of a mess. I guess it was scrambled, but looked more like yellow rice than like any other form of scrambled eggs. Overall worth it.
Good cinnamon roll French toast and great bacon.
The worst service ever. They kept us waiting for almost an hour and let us know there was an inspection in the kitchen and asked to keep waiting for a few more minutes... Don't even try to go there.
I enjoyed the food, and the space. The wait for the food was a bit long, but it was worth it. It is a tad noisy and chaotic.
Very good breakfast place. Everything we had was delicious and our server was excellent!
I've wanted to come to yolk for a while and finally did this past weekend. The service was okay but the restaurant was practically empty so it should have been better. I got the Nutella crepes and of the three crepes, one had no filling the other two had so little I could barely find it. We also got a sample of their holiday French toast which was extremely dry and unflavorful for being chocolate peppermint. The coffee was good though. Oh well. We won't be back.
Wow! Yolk has definitely changed for the worst. It used to be one of my favorite places, but portions have gotten too small and the taste has gone downhill. I know understand the wait at Wildberry. Yolk does not compare.
Really good brunch place. It has obvious chain branding and touches, but still serve a real brunch that is well made with local ingredients. Had a party of 6 at 10am on Saturday and despite being busy they got us right in.
Food is always delicious!
While visiting Chicago for the weekend...we found Yolk. We were so impressed with the food and service that we returned for 2 visits. I only gave 4 stars since one dish had egg shells in it. The server and manager responded right away. I would go back and would still recommend Yolk!
Great food and service.
If you want delicious breakfast this is the place.
Very delicious food and friendly staff!
YOLK is number for a great consist breakfast. I have been to 4 of there locations in downtown and loop. The egg are cooked as ordered. The service is always good. You may find better, but you will never be disappointed at Yolk.
Best Brunch place in the city! Service is very quick. We ordered California omelette it was super filling with mushrooms, avocado, and it comes with potatoes, toast or pan cakes. Super healthy, worth the price. Highly recommend this place for brunch.
Fantastic breakfast. A go-to place for us when in the city.
Great brunch place, never disappoints. Good coffee as well.
I honestly thought there is no way to mess up breakfast, however, this place did. I guess I've been to Yolk before in a different location but it must have been so bad I blocked it out of my memory and made the mistake in going again. Food was bland, coffee was sour (how do you make coffee sour?), and service was ok. My sister asked for Chalua hot sauce and they gave us a bottle that had barely any left and then we asked for more and somehow they ran out of it completely? Interesting. Anyway. Would not recommend it.
Service was good and so was the food, it seemed a little out of the downtown hustle and away from the crowd.
AESOME!!! I enjoyed a lovely brunch with my 3 children. I had the South of the Border Benny which was wonderful. My daughter had the French Cinnamon Roll and it was the family favorite.
We shared a pretty nice breakfast as a family. They had a wide selection of dishes and it was so hard to choose the right one! I went with the eggs on the Baskets and gravy. This is known as the farmers meal for the breakfast. My brother got the steak and eggs. As well we ordered and eggs Benedict and another egg plate. I will see that the food is pretty well but the only downside was the noise level of the restaurant. It was pretty noisy in there and we were sat next to the dish collection bin. Overall pretty good food and service but the noise was obnoxious.
Service was great and food was on point as always!
Absolutely delicious!! Sausage, bacon, cheese grits, waffles, eggs... all great! My husband had red velvet French toast and it was amazing!!
Nice place good food
