I’m not a coffee drinker but when I’m really tired I’ll get a Mocha although I don’t like them too strong. Read reviews online and Wormhole destiny has some of the best Mocha’s around. I had both an iced and hot version. Excellent customer service, service was even kind enough to let me try to Oat milk to see if I wanted that.

Super great atmosphere and staff. The vanilla latte I got was just not that great. I was excited reading all the reviews, but didn’t live up to my expectations. Also a bit pricey, but I really enjoyed the barista and decor! Super cute hangout or study place, but I would probably try something other than a latte.

Still one of my favorite coffee bars. Always a pleasure to go here. The staff is grumpy, fake, and truely unfriendly as you would expect at any coffee joint. Lol I still have to give five stars. I've ordered enough koopa troopers from here to consider myself a regular. They don't mind if I need to stop in just to charge up, use the potty, and or wifi. A great hop on your travels through the city. Don't miss out ton all the artwork including a replica time machine. The place is riddled with video game and nerdy swag. Grab a "spice must flow" sticker if you get the dune reference. This is just a rebranded dollop coffee shop not locally owned. Expect unique menu items, but dollop's halfwit beans.

Great experience! The staff were friendly and actually got my name right :) They made me the wrong tea, but were very apologetic and offered to re-make it immediately. The decor is very retro and there was a N64 (?) game set up in the back. I sat near the front window with pouring rain outside and it was just a wonderful atmosphere.

So finally visited this amazing coffee place and got to know what the fuss is all about. I must say pretty diferent interiors 80s theme, thats in their bio too. Thing I loved is plenty of seating spcly the couch at the back with old school gaming, thats the thing which I grabbed my attention. Now coming to the coffee, and I can they are darn good at what they are doing. Highly recommend.

This place almost felt like a time warp with old video games, a delorean car, and movie posters all around. It was a pretty spacious place with some tables for studying or being on your computer. Prices were a little high, but I tried the Camp Firewood and loved it. Kind of a Smokey tea espresso coffee with maple in it..not too sweet but a new thing I hadn’t tried before. Definitely recommend!

Coffee was great! Got a Marco Burundi pour over that was delicious. Great vintage pop culture atmoshpere. Went with a party of seven and everyone enjoyed their beverage and/or pastery. The staff was a bit rude andade people feel like idiots when they ordered. When you get to talking to him, they are nicer but first impressions were rough. Besides that, great experience!!

The wormhole was a great deal of fun. If you want a coffee shop that's not than a coffee shop this place is it. The drinks are nice and they have everything from simple coffee and tea to fun specialty mochas'. The service was fast and friendly. The really cool aspect to this place is the environment. The decorations are 70s-80s themed with a delorean overlooking the place. There was also a father/she duo playing Mario 1 on a tube tv while sitting on a couch. I, for one, came to study, which I got a lot finished. Check it out and enjoy yourself.

Very chill atmosphere compared to other similarly hip coffee shops, which I greatly appreciated. The coffee was great and at a better price point than we were used to in the city, not to mention the incredible vegan cake donuts. I've been coming here for 7 years now? Never had a bad cup of coffee or an unkind staff member. I think the owner does a great job. The pastries have changed from time to time (they are brought in afaik) but they have always been excellent. I used to work out of the shop a few mornings per week, but times change and now I find myself buying their beans instead.

Cool themed coffee shop as well, I still give it 5 stars despite some of its somewhat judgmental and aggressive hipster clientele that do not want certain types of people coming here. But that's hardly the businesses fault. The Honey Bear Latte is a must if you visit.

Went there for a non alcoholic drink I saw on their website. When I asked about it the lady at the register looked at me like I spoke a different language. It was really busy when I went and the barista was talking to a single customer / friend the whole time and barely doing thier job. Took at least ten minutes for an iced Americano. Coffee was okay, but they were using a strange blend for thier espresso. Seems overrated based on the decor which didn't appeal to me.

Everyone in here seems to be on a laptop, so outlet space can be a bit of a tricky thing. A good place to do casual work, but a little to busy/hip to get any serious studying done.

This is my go-to "study" place. My only real grievance is that there's no "personal" seating and so you'd have to sit with strangers but I'm mostly with my headphones in trying to do work anyway. One of the coolest places I’ve ever been to. As soon as I stepped foot into this place, I immediately felt like I walked into my own personal 80’s film nerd utopia. Came here on an early Sunday morning and was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was. Plenty of couches and desks to sit in but it gets more filled as the day rolls on. Pretty good drink and pastry item selections. They even have bowls of cereal you can order. Feels like the type of place my teenage, movie nerd self would approve of.

This place is such a gem - it's like going back in time. Their 80s memorabilia is stunning and the baristas here are super friendly. Their Cool but Rude is my absolute favorite drink here. It's just a coffee shop that is fitting with the neighborhood. Prices are about the same as Starbucks, so pretty reasonable. This place is definitely a favorite

For about 6 months I came to this coffee shop at least once a week. I came in one day for an iced coffee. The coffee I got did not taste very good so I asked if perhaps a hot coffee would be better. Instead of customer service I got a lecture from the cashier about how I should "know what I am ordering". After explaining that I did know what I ordered and it simply did not taste very good I was then told that I would not get the large I ordered but instead I would get a small replacement coffee. At this point I was very frustrated but I had work that needed to be done and decided to ignore it. After all of this was finished I left my finished coffee on the front counter and as I was walking out the same cashier decided it was his responsibility to rudely tell me where empty coffee cups go instead of simply taking it to the dishwasher and sink behind him and the counter. This situation is unfortunate because I have not returned to the shop since. I am writing this review well after the fact but as someone who has lived in wicker Park my entire life I felt it necessary to let the wormhole know that they lost a local loyal customer a while back because of rude entitled employees. This neighborhood is one with a rich history and wonderful residents and they should be treated with respect as they are the reason this neighborhood has become what it has and the only reason The Wormhole can exist at all. The only reason I don't leave one star is because I waited too long to leave this review.

An original Delorean on the ceiling, working original nintendo on a 50’s tv on a cozy couched corner, a Boba Fett styled espresso machine.... I mean, come on! What else do you need!—- cool!.

This is what A+ game looks like: - Creativity designed decor: homage to old school films like Back to the Future - Probably the friendliest, happiest, and quirkiest team - The specialty lattes are actually balanced with the right flavor profile and balance without losing the essence of a latte. Most places stick a bunch of random ingredients together that sound good on paper but betray their coffee essence and taste horrid. See how it's done here - get the Honey Bear or the curry latte.

The lattes are fantastic. - Details - Coffee (4) : I've only had lattes here, but they were fantastic. Venue (3): The decor is cool if you like geek things. There are some tables to do work at. There are some couches to sit at. It's slightly cramped. Price (2): Pretty standard coffee prices. Coffee habits are expensive, haha. Service (2): The staff seemed pretty normal. They bring the coffee to the table when it's ready and shout your name so you know it's done. No complaints. Crowd (3): Seemed like normal every day people. Location (4): I'm not super familiar with the area since I"m out of town, but I found myself running into this place multiple times while doing other things, so I get the feeling it's in a good are. What's good? - The lattes are great. I personally like the decor. What could use improvement? - The place seemed a little cramped. Personal space was adequate, but there are definitely places with a bit more. I always felt in the way of people while waiting for my coffee, table space was mostly shared and looked a little cramped. Might help to utilize some of the space in the front somehow? Bring the counter up and put tables in the back? Put a place for waiting people to sit? I don't know.

They serve fantastic coffee from halfwit. My personal favorite is their triforce blend which makes a great espresso. The interior of the shop is great and I love bringing friends for any occasion. However, I have had a few bad experiences with slow an unenthusiastic baristas who were making simple orders out of order. Still I am a big fan of the location and the beans they use.

This place was the first shop in the city that familiarized me with Halfwit Coffee and it is amazing. The decor inside is nerd cool. The lighting isn't too harsh and the front windows give you some natural light too. The ginger curry latte, the Cool But Rude, is my favorite drink here and it's good both hot and iced!

This coffee shop is super cool, the late 80s early 90s movie theme is very cool. They even have a DeLorean in the back. This place is very unique and has a ton of personality. The chai tea latte I had was great, as well as my ham and cheese croissant. They offer Wifi and some lounge seats where you can chill and get some work done.

This place has plenty of character, and at least a few unique options for coffee drinks. I had the 'Cool But Rude' and it delivered a pleasantly memorable coffee experience with strong hints of ginger and curry sauce. Health concerns aside, the overall taste was better with whole milk versus skim milk. It's also worthy to note that the decor inside the place was fantastic for any vintage 1980's fan. From the DeLorean from Back to the Future to the original Game Boy to an original Apple computer, there are plenty of bits of eye candy. Overall, I'd certainly recommend trying this place at least once.

This was one of the best restaurants I've been to. The food is amazing, the ambiance is quaint and unique, and the outdoor patio seating is just beautiful. The entire place is very romantic and very ideal for a date night. The service is great. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Aside from that, they're also open late for full meals, which is a good idea. I started off with the tuna tartare. It had the perfect kick of spiciness to it but lemony and delicious at the same time. I had the scallops which were cooked to perfection. The entree I ordered was the lamb with mashed potatoes. For dessert, I ordered the coconut cheesecake and it was divine. Light and hearty at the same time. It was the perfect end to the meal. I will definitely come back here soon to try the other menus.

The barista was incredibly rude to the couple in front of us, so much so that the people left without ordering. After witnessing that poor treatment, we were hesitant to shpport the business... but we thought we'd still give it a go. So, we approached the counter, and the barista was, again, unprofessional and brusque-no time or effort made to help a new customer order. The barista was snotty, dismissive, with an elitist attitude. Really disappointing. Maybe losing 4 customers in a row within 3 minutes would send a message to management that their staff could use some training on manners and patience.

I usually order either Chi Tea or Cafe Latte on soy milk since they don't offer neither coconut nor almond milk (at least the few times I visited). I once had a barista make my Chi Tea with the Pacific 7 Grain non-dairy milk, but unfortunately the beverage tasted horrible. Every hot cup of latte comes with a unique work of art on top. I agree with previous reviewer, the staff is hit or miss. If you plan on sitting and getting some work done or just catching up with a friend try to get here off-peak hours as this place gets packed. Often hard to find a seat for more than two people. They offer bar, couch, and chair sitting. The noise level was good for conversation and the atmosphere was nice. Free Wifi. Definitely check this place out!

This place was SUPER COOL inside. They have a ton of 80s/90s décor that is totally awesome. I got the Honey Bear and it was very tasty and was complimented with cute latte art. They also have an old Nintendo Entertainment System on an CRT TV to play games on which I thought was pretty neat. I highly recommend this place, they're open pretty late, till 9 I believe, which is nice. The area also has some pretty cute stores/ bookstores to visit!

I adore this place. I make a point of visiting every time I'm in Wicker Park and now that I'm thinking of moving into the area, I'm getting ready to spend aaaalllll my money on these awesome lattes. The vibe here is chill and geeky-- very instagram-worthy. Great place for a casual first date, quick and delicious coffee, and/or a photo-op with some 80s era posters.

Nice, quiet spot. Feels like you're in your friend's basement in 1986, in a good way. The coffee is top notch and the staff is helpful and friendly. Will be visiting again.
