Tasty Yummy - "The Spot" hits the spot. Went on a coffee shop field trip today to the North Peoria/Dunlap area to experience The Spot's land-based locale on the far north side of Knoxville Ave. The decor was clean, neat, and bright - a blend of upscale hotel lobby layered together with some stereotypical coffeehouse kitch that somehow worked together like latte art on espresso. The little shop was full of regulars, buzzing with chatter as meetings commenced over laptops enjoying the free WiFi. The Spot also has a travelling food truck and an active social media presence, so it's good at letting you know what's brewing. Flavor-wise, I've had several of their selections. The Peoria area is fortunate to have a local, vibrant coffee culture - and this fits in comfortably to that scene. While it wasn't so stand-out that I'd make the half-hour one-way trip again, it's definitely a "The Spot to" be if you're a local living in one of the nearby neighborhoods.

I went here for the first time today new to the area, the owner I believe her name was Sara was incredibly nice. They had gluten free baked treats, and the hot chocolate I had was amazing. The Spot was clean and just a wonderful place to sit. Everyone was so kind and I will definitely be going back.

Love his place. The people are always so kind, the atmosphere is cozy but of course busy at times. Their baked goods are AMAZING which it is my understanding that they partner with other local businesses to provide (shootout to Four30 Scones and DonutLove309). They also offer other things such as oatmeal and chocolate milk for the kiddos. They make their syrups from scratch. Their prices are average for a coffee shop and they have a drive thru! So I like to say they have the convenience of a Starbucks but the heart of a neighbor. I love love LOVEEEE their vanilla bean iced coffee, the banana chocolate chip scones and the double chocolate donuts! If you’re in the area and need a little pick-me-up you should do yourself a favor and stop by.

We love the Spot! Their coffee is great as well as their donuts! The family stopped in after an early morning walk. The inside is nice and relaxing. We live in the area and are thinking about making it a morning tradition to come in and grab a coffee and relax. If your not from the area stop by for a local coffee favorite!

NOT Carb friendly.....Nothing sugar free and did not even have heavy whipping cream.... :( went to Starbucks instead and when we left the staff did not even seem bothered.

I enjoy the coffee but the place it’s self is very cliquey. I witnessed 3 people (Family member, friend of worker, and worker off the clock) get their drinks for free but one worker was trying to charge me for an ice water.

I’m visiting Peoria for a road race about 40 minutes south of it, so naturally I had to locate the nearest coffee shops to keep me fueled. This place popped up as being relatively close to me and I thought I’d give it a try. I ordered my red eye and had a small pastry. The service was really great and super fast. The coffee itself is great—definitely superior to all the other coffee shops around, which i believe are a bunch of Starbucks. As for the pastries, I believe they are homemade? They were reasonably sized, so I didn’t feel as if I was indulging, but rather was having a sweet and simple breakfast. If I return to Peroia, I’ll definitely check this place out again. They are gluten and vegan friendly I think.

My favorite local coffee shop. My pup and I love visiting the spot mobile when the weather gets nicer in the spring and summer. You have to try the iced salted caramel latte. You won't be disappointed!

Love the cozy, calm environment at The Spot! Their iced lattes are so good. I love that they aren’t tired to a store front - the trailer is such a neat idea & it’s great having it at the Riverfront Market on Saturdays! My only complaint is my iced coffee is always gone too quickly!

First time here,ordered a small cup of coffee and it was only lukewarm. Went back through drive up with my complaint. Got second cup of coffee, it was hot enough to satisfy me and got an apology and card for free cup. Please make sure your customer s are not served product that is old and cooled off.

Love visiting The Spot every Sunday as my special treat. I’m ordering the maple sugar latte each week until they stop offering this fantastic seasonal flavor. The miel and mocha are also wonderful. I'm at The Spot several times per week. I always order freshly brewed iced tea and it's very good. I usually get a scone or donut and they are always delicious. The Spot has gluten-free treats as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful - they seem genuinely happy to serve you. There are also several electrical outlets and a power strip if you need a charge for your phone or laptop. If you're looking for an alternative to a certain coffee shop chain, stop by and give it a try.
