Love this place. Tha cachapas are divine: it’s like a moist corn bread cake made from scratch so tasty that it melts in your mom. It is topped with Gouda cheese and sour cream I believe. They can pair it with just about anything. We had it with shredded beef. The plate was very generous!! The arepas are so authentic and a meal on their own. Try any one of them. I have been there three times and my favorite is Rica Arepa. The Venezuelan lemonade called Papelon is a new favorite of my family

The environment is very friendly, the service is good, the food is fresh, delicious, there is a variety of dishes. I recommend the arepa with beef and the cachapa that is like a big hot cake made of banana. There are different combinations I am very sure if you try the food this place you will love it

Well this is my 1st trying Venezuelan Cuisine due to a friend recommending me since it was near my residence and walked here. It was delicious and unique. I had Chicha Venezolana beverage and ordered their authentic sandwich called an Arepa and a Venezuelan Empanada de Pabellon and their version of Leche flan OR (Quesillo). Having tried other Empanada I like theirs as well. Plantains as the dough and fried but not greasy. Fillings have black beans . Do try the Empenda Pabellon with Garlic sauce they provide. The Reina Pepia Arepa sandwich was healthy and delicious. It has chicken, avocado and mayonnaise. If I knew the portions were this big I would have ordered just one entree. Thank goodness I worked out with running on treadmill before I walked here. The flan was good to but didn't taste anything unique. I would still recommend the Venezuelan flan though. I would definitely be coming back for their version of Hamburgers Venezuelan way or Hamburguesas . Do come here! I am planning to come back.

I haven't got a chance to actually taste the food because my 1st time going to this restaurants the waitress wasn't very nice to us as far as giving us a decent table to sit down and even order some food. They try to save me and my fiance at a very very small round table that is barely big enough for one person. There was a bigger Table Available but she did it want to give it to us so needless to say I ended up walking out of this place because they weren't very nice and accommodating. When me and my fiance go out for dinner well do at least 3 to 4 appetizers and then we will order are main course ,so they missed out on some customers about to spend some money in their restaurant. I probably won't go back because of the rudeness that was bestowed upon us and for that reason they lost me as a potential customer.

Delicious Venezuelan dishes. Tons of gluten free and Veg choices... Loved it since the 1st time. Consistently good food and excellent service. Cozy in the winter and in summer they have a really nice outdoor area/patio. I'm here at least once a week now. They are that tasty.

I tried the vegan 2 with cheese- the plantains were easily the best part. Perfectly cooked and delicious. I thought the black beans were a bit too much and somewhat bland. Not the best arepas I've had but pretty good. I wish they had more sauces since the ingredients in the arepa itself weren't seasoned- they had a green salsa & a creamy sauce. Service was good and there is plenty of paid street parking available. The place closes early- at 8 but they were nice enough to allow us to stay past 8.

Great little Venezualan restaurant, which is fairly new, just opened 4 months ago. When we arrived, there was a lively birthday party, and everyone (literally everyone) was singing happy birthday in Spanish. I believe we were the only English only patrons, but the servers all spoke English. Had a blackberry smoothie/ beverage to start, which was refreshing, and not too sweet. I've never had Venezualan food, but it was great! They were out of carne and chorizo, so i tried the pabellon arepa, and the tropical arepa. They were served with a white garlic sauce and a spicy verde sauce. Very flavorful. The patacon was large and delicious. Would definitely get that again. They have outdoor seating for warm weather days. Didn't get an itemized receipt, but i believe i was overcharged...

This place is new and hottttt. A must try the service is friendly and the place is very clean. The location is neighborhood with street parking. The entrance is through their summer patio( looking forward to that). Now to the food; the arepas are Venezuela style as many South America bland Spanish speaking countries have their own version. These are filled with a variety of stuffings. You can be a vegan and eat her or a true carnivore and love it here too. Some items are not on the menu. Like rice. So be sure to ask about their full menu. Their juices are delicious and healthy. New are specialized Flans from a local Flan artisan. So be sure to ask. Some days it’s Coconut flan to a vegan The owners are amazingly passionate about their love of food. Once street cart vendors. Love their vision , passion and the food. Must Visit !!!!

Awesome, fairly priced Venezuelan spot located in the Hermosa neighborhood of Chicago. Definitely has a homey vibe as soon as you walk through the door. Ordered the Pabellón Arepa and it was delicious. Pretty much all the servers and cooks are Venezuelan so you know it’s legit.

Been to one other Venezuelan restaurant but out of the two I feel this one is the best. The server was very polite and offer us food suggestions. The place was clean and has several seating areas including a patio. Downside food was delicious but they would bring one plate at a time. Also parking is available off street.

So everything is beautiful. We went in on a sleepy Saturday, late afternoon. We got an empanada, hamburguesa (mixta - carme-chuleta), y Venezuelan flan. Also, the cafe con leche and a tamarind juice with cream. Everything was amazing. Service and seating were very nice. Staff was very friendly.

The owner greeted us as soon as we walked in and, since we don't know Spanish, walked through the menu with us. The food was great and I really enjoyed the mora (blackberry) juice and patacón! We'd definitely come back here again! The inside is a bit small, but they have outside seating for when the weather is warmer.

Stopped in here for a bite after a long walk down the 606 and exploring the neighborhood at the end of the trail. This was my first time eating at a Venezuelan restaurant and I was thoroughly pleased! We had two different vegan arepas: one with broccoli and mushrooms; the other with plantains, blackbeans and avocado. Sooooo delicious!! And our server was super friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere and vibes in this place all around, too. We will definitely be back!

I'm venezuelan and I know how to cook my home country's food and give it that amazing home flavor so i know what real vemezuelan food taste like so, i have gone to every venezuelan restaurants in Chicago and the only place that you can savor Venezuela is in Rica Arepa. If u have eaten at another venezuelan restaurant and u think is good, u r fooling yourself. I recommend rica arepa 100%
