It's a nice bar and well situated if you're in merchandise mart. Good service and drinks. It's an odd recommendation, but be sure to check out the bathroom - it's super unique.

This restaurant is inside The Mart. It's a cozy little restaurant. The tables have comfy arm chairs and it has a great view. The menu isn't huge, but there are some great items. We had the crab cake sandwiches and they were so good. Super yummy place.

The BAD: -A mess of seating -Happy Hour is only 4-6, not until 7pm as advertised -Kitchen closes at 7pm -1 TV -Slow service The GOOD: -Excellent View -Great decor The management was kind of a mess, the bar was almost full and a few booths were open. Bartender pointed me to management to get a booth and the 2 managers were chatting with each other, dressed down and generally sort of unapproachable. Finally got their attention and was seated in a nice window spot with a view of the river - that was great! This place was advertised as a “great place to watch the game,” but there is just 1 projector screen with like stadium seating in front of it and not a great place to relax. There are NO TVs in the bar area or by the booths so we couldn’t even watch the games. You have to press a button to order drinks, the server took 20 minutes to take our order and another 15 to bring our beverages, all while we are trying to the advantage of the 6pm happy hour deadline. We were asked if we wanted food, said yes but wanted a round or 2 before ordering. At 7:15 we pressed the button to put in a food order and were told the kitchen is closed!! Couldn’t our server have warned us of that?? Very disappointing.

This place is awesome! Not only have I been here for my coffee on one early morning but I have also stopped in for lunch and drinks during happy hour! Let me tell you, the food was delicious, however calamari was my favorite! I stopped in for drinks as well during happy hour and I was very happy with the service I was given. My bartender Angel Rangel exceeded my expectations and gave me the best service at Marshall’s landing! Defenitly recommend this place to family and friends!

Unfortunately, I work in the same building and we go to Marshals landing often for happy hours or quick drinks after work hours (for convince sake) . Worst service everytime. It takes forever to get your drink or to get your server's attention. And most of the time, your waiter will forget some or other item that you ordered. I often see people seated by the huge staircase working or eating/drinking outside food. One day I grabbed a coffee during my break and found a seat to relax and watch some news on big TV. Literally in 1 min, a waiter asked me to leave because I can't have outside food there and the seats are for their customers only. Fair enough - I apologized and left to sit on the stairs (which I like it better). I looked around and there were other people including the one that took my seat consuming outside food, but no one was asked to leave. May be they just don't like brown skin people. I don't see any other reason why I got kicked out.

Their marketing person should be fired! Marshall's Landing is a lounge / eating space at the Merchandise Mart. I walked past and noticed the coffee shop, totally missing that they also have food. They need better signage letting people know about the restaurant portion of the area. Right now there is tiny lettering on one of the concrete posts - Coffee, Bar, Grill. They should reverse the order and make the lettering way more readable. The one star is for the bad marketing. The space is ok and I'll update once I have had a chance to order off the menu Long story short, I got something else to eat and came back to work while I ate. A person nicely approached me and explained they didn't allow outside food (makes sense!) Then she gave me the menu but I had already purchased food someplace else. She also said I could sit and work in the space once I was done eating. And as a comment to the management's response - they should get marketing involved ASAP. It looks like a coffee shop, not a restaurant. And if it says, Coffee, Bar and Chill, that's even worse! There's no indication that it's a restaurant.

One of the best after work spots in the area. Concrete and hanging plants with gorgeous river views. A tad pricey, drink specials aren't great. Appetizers are good, inventive, but not super substantial or affordable. A winner as a spot to pair a laptop with a cold beer.

There's so much to love about this place that it pains me to take off 3 stars but I've been coming here for 2 hours every week to get work done between shifts I just can't take it anymore. The goods: Fantastic food and drinks at reasonable prices. Comfortable setup and ideal location if you want a place to get a drink and a bite to eat. The bads: Service can be really slow and the noise level gets loud. Bring your headphones if you want to get some work done. The really bad: This place is just a mess when it comes to the setup. There's virtually no signage to tell you that its a private dining establishment and everyone walks up thinking its a public space. I witness countless people being approached during my weekly 2 hour stint here being told they need to take their outside food somewhere else because its not allowed. I would go nuts if I was a server here repeating the same thing throughout my shift. Lately, there's been private events which results in security walking through the place kicking everyone out at a moments notice just as they got settled in to get some work done. On the one hand, good for them that they're doing so well but maybe they need to change the configuration so people don't assume they can plop down and get work done. Or maybe, just close off the back part of the restaurant and have the event there. Also, and this is more to the management of the overall Merchandise Mart: Marshalls should NOT be allowed to kick people off the steps when they have a private event. If i'm not mistaken, those are a public space right? I mean, is the mayor holding the all these private events? Bottom line: come for the food or a drink but don't get fooled into thinking all those couches and lounges are for you to get some work done. Or, just be ready to be booted at a moments notice cuz the mayor and his security detail are having ANOTHER private event in the space.

I've never had a drink nor a bite here, but would come here often to play the piano. As a facility with a beautiful, 9' concert grand Yamaha piano (mostly in tune), I only fixed the piano bench once (someone had broken it, but I brought my tools so I didn't have to sit at an awkward angle). Unfortunately, management decided they needed more seating out in the barren concrete lobby area, and thus moved the piano into their back room and it can only be played by visiting professionals, or by none at all. It's a shame because it was a lovely way to break up the monotony of the Mart, and entertain the passerby visitors. Alas, with no piano to play, Marshall's does not merit many stars.

Swanky place to grab drinks after work with co-workers or to meet up with college buddies once and a while for a beer and a view. Cool atmosphere and ample room to hang out. Little pricey but you can settle for one cocktail here before leapfrogging to the next destination.

Love this space. Versatile for work, social or just grabbing a coffee or drink. The place is designed to have multiple zones for whatever you plan to do. The stairs are great for casual meetings. The library table next to the bar is perfect for working. The individual sofa “pods” gives some privacy for phone calls in a crowded space. Booth tables also available for sit down dinners. Use the call button on the table to get waitress/ waiter attention.

An ingenious spot in the merchandise Mart for many purposes. Great for party Is or a classroom business meeting. On the other hand a good spot for coffee and lounging. Also a full menu and a complete food menu. It spectacularly ties the main entrance with the second floor

Really amazing lattes, and nice staff and standard $4 for a large. If you're in the Mart, definitely give this place a shot! Nice roasted espresso taste, not bitter and super smooth. Also has a nice coworking space with a good view for people and teams that want to go there and work. There is has a bar as well but never been there. I make coffee at home but whenever I'm in a rush this will be my go to place!

Attended a corporate event there after hours...very well done. Food was great, atmosphere was great for conversation. Staff was friendly and helpful as well. Event was for ~100 people with sit-down dinner and did not feel cramped or crowded at all.

Great service, fun and relaxed happy hour atmostphere. The food was surprisingly good, however the wine menu was a disappointment. $10-12+ a glass for a not so stellar glass. My friends enjoyed their beers and cocktails. I hate that so many places treat wine as an afterthought.

Average hipster espresso bar with a cool lounge area to imbibe your java. Crispy bacon in the egg sandwich worth the 8 minute wait- 5 stars. Making a latte when I for a cappuccino with"barely any milk"- 1 star. But they're not alone, most coffee bars don't get how to make a real cappuccino. You'll wait for your coffee bc they're understaffed. Prices are steep ($4 for a DoRite donut) although I suppose inside the merchandise Mart that should be expected...
