Coffee was great. Breakfast sandwich was good, I knocked one star off because the eggs on the sammy were slightly rubbery, and the bun could have used a bit more flavor. But there were tons of items on the menu that looked great, and I'll definitely head back to try more.

Friendly and well trained staff, big menu, simple bright modern atmosphere, good collection of familiar and predictable (in the right way) beverages and treats. My espresso mix was right on and we all enjoyed a cinnamon roll. Tho one weird guy wasn't a fan of the icing we other three enjoyed it a lot. Didn't see much of a rewards program or app but these smaller caffeine spots often make up for lack of a mobile app with enticing sitting areas and they pay their taxes! (looking at you Starbucks)

I've been coming to Aroma since I was 17 and 10 years later, I still come because it is my favorite cafe in town. I love it when it's quiet because I can get a lot done. The only thing I don't really care for are the chairs. They are not the most comfortable but the environment makes up for it! :) Also, if you're hungry, please try the Sienna Turkey Wrap. It's delish!

I love this cafe. I don't drink coffee but I am told it is great, instead I appreciate that they have can soda and red bull. The drinks are not why I go to Aroma, the staff and food is. The staff is absolutely fabulous. The food is excellent, especially their quesadilla. I generally try their daily special which I have always found to be delightful. A great place to sit and eat, drink coffee (or soda or tea), and visit with a friend.

When I worked downtown this is where I went most often to get coffee. The atmosphere is very inviting. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are willing to make alterations to just about anything on the menu including food. If you have a sweet tooth and also like espresso, try a Frescante. It's a coffee smoothie and you can add all kinds of different flavors.

Waited in line for 15 mins along with 2 other people of color and the bartista on hand could not be bothered to move or attend to us customers. That is until a white customers came in the door. At that moment he got off his a**, took customers orders and was able to attend to the entire line in under the anointing of time I had been waiting at the register. Whatever the bias, service that blatantly ignores paying customers is bad service.

Aroma can be overlooked with all the choice places in town, but their wrap/ salad lunch combo is a great deal, and they have unique teas. The baristas hold their own against the snobbier shops in town, too.

Of all the small cafes in downtown Champaign, this one feels the coziest and has the best staff. It's somewhat pet friendly, a good spot to work on certain days, and the patio space shared with other small businesses makes it highly appealing if you like to flit. Generous portion sizes and the large tea cups are a plus.

Awesome local coffee house. Best homemade soups! And pastries. Can't wait to go back. I'm not into soup, but they offered such wonderfully unusual cconcoctions that I had to try one. It had cactus in its description. It did NOT disappoint! Nice little place, friendly atmosphere. All ages had come in and out in the short time I was enjoying an espresso masterpiece. They have board games and an outdoor eating area. It's small and has limited parking but they've made great use of the small space. Its worth it. Inventive paint and design scheme, good music - but nothing over the top, screaming "We're woke" or "Coffee Snobs without Jobs," or "Your seventh shot of espresso is free.*" *Redeemable only ONCE per day, people. WHY are you STILL at work? Don't you sleep? ever? Go home already - your coffee jitters are giving coffee jitters to my coffee jitters." Truth be told, I've never come across the cafe with, "It's called espresso, NOT ex-presso," snobbery except once at a DC Starpunks, and in that case, I actually think it was just a one-time bad day for the barista. So. Either way, good stuff. Keep it up, Aroma Cafe. Looking forward to returning.

The coffee and food were pretty good, and not too bad of a price for what I got (7$ for a 16oz latte and a scone.) My only issue was the space itself, the area is small and crowded and our table was very sticky—to the point that I had trouble pulling my cup off. I would recommend Aroma, just get it to go.

Good food, great coffee! It's a nice space and they have a back patio that is lovely in the summer. Parking can be difficult sometimes (meter parking Mon-Sat; $0.75 an hour), but overall a good place to hang with friends and, during the day, do homework.

I had an EXCELLENT experience with Aroma Cafe right from the get go. The baristas too extra care to get to know me - and it was my first time there. I asked her to recommend me a drink, told her my preferences and no thank yous, and she made me this delicious Hazelnut Toast Crunch Latte! I also had their lunch special for the day, which was definitely made fresh and in a timely manner, despite the rush. If you're passing through, Cafe hopping, or new to the Champaign area, make Aroma Cafe a priority to visit!

Like many of the shops on this stretch of Neil, Aroma has seating outdoor seating both in front and back of their store. Nothing really to write home about here, but a very cute shop. They have day old treats that are 50% off on top of their fresh case that might be worthwhile to check out.

I used to come here very often, great coffee and food. Not sure what's up with the local stores in Champaign, but they always get worse. The coffee is absolutely terrible now. Food and pastries are still good as they were, but the staff and coffee are not :(

Loved the atmosphere, it's super cozy and a lovely spot for post dinner coffees and chatting. My only complaint is that the barista charged me for three drinks instead of the two I ordered, and the only one that was correct was the drip brew coffee. I wish he would have remade my small latte so that it was correct, because now I've paid for 3 drinks plus tip to drink the wrong drink. At first I was worried I'd "stolen" someone else's drink, but the barista informed me it was in fact mine. Normally I'm not too picky, but there were maybe 5 people in the store, and I was the only one waiting on drinks. I'll probably choose another coffee shop next time.

Friendly service and reasonable prices. The food is good the the coffee/Chai options are great. They could do with a better vegan selection, especially with the non-savory menu, since it's only packaged cookies, which isn't great for a Cafe. But still recommended, for the drinks and pleasant atmosphere.

I got a Ruben sandwich for late lunch yesterday and it made me sick to my stomach just one bite and I was on the toilet the rest of the day. The hot chocolate is fabulous the first time I went to there and the cookies pasteris but stay away from the meat it was green and old they didn't want to give me my money back and tried to say I did something to it Rong. I been in food service for year's and was born and raised down south I know when meat is old and green. I already have stomach cancer and it takes me a while to get an appetite but that just caused me to get over another hump toward my struggle to getting healthy enough for kemo and surgery.

The place is really peaceful and gives a bit of an oriental feel. They have posters from all around the world representing various cultures, religions etc, which makes the cafe feel very open to all. Grad students usually go here to work while sipping coffee. Also really popular for lovebirds to have some quite and romantic time together.

I LOVE Aroma. This was the first coffee shop I found when I came to Champaign, and continues to be a go to when I want a great drink and beautiful seat on their back patio. Besides the dark memory of the sexy toast days a few years ago, the people here are always the friendliest and the environment is laid back and inviting. I don't usually go with coffee here, but it's solid. The iced teas are always tasty with a perfectly portioned flavor shot.
