I love Ann Sathers. Delicious comfort foods, Swedish dishes, and good breakfasts. Service is usually very good except for at odd hours. Whenever my girlfriend and I go here, we order a dish and split it. The staff here are always really good about splitting our meal onto 2 plates and giving us more sides. Breakfast foods are always the thing to get here. Also, when you order a side of cinnamon rolls, you get very healthy portions of 2 cinnamon rolls. Almost enough for a full meal! And they are so good. Always get the cinnamon rolls at Ann Sathers or you are wasting your time.

Um, Cinnamon rolls anyone? It's the weekend. You're hung over and wanting food. You're craving a little grease (maybe some bacon, cheese and eggs). You decide to hit up Ann Sather. You may have to wait a little while on the weekends (get there early) but the food's worth it. With three egg omelettes made just about any way, potatoes and bacon....delish. But the best part are the two heaping, sugary, sickening sweet, so-bad-for-you cinnamon rolls. There's not a bun like it anywhere. The only bad thing I have to say is that their coffee kinda stinks. I can live through it for the rest of the meal. Sooooooooooooo worth it. ....and hangover cured.

Great atmosphere. Noticed all the 11 staff members I could see were good looking men with fantastic posture and an even better attitude. I don't normally notice things like that but it felt almost theatrical and magical. Made me love this neighborhood more than I already do. Also, BYOB. And you get a ton of food for a reasonable price. But the food seems to play second fiddle to how warm and happy this place is. You get the jist. Give them your money!

Cinnamon rolls! All I can say is CINNAMON ROLLS! And swedish pancakes, oh and cheddar, bacon potato pancakes! Every thing is delicious. We went for brunch on a Saturday and had almost no wait. I can't believe how much food they give you! For most things you get a dish and two sides. Cinnamon rolls count as 1 side. Its a great place to take family. Definitely going back

We won't go there again, and I don't recommend it for anything other than maybe pancakes or other sweets.

Ann Sathers on Broadway has good food. I'm not a huge breakfast eater but their turkey lunch is outstanding. The cinnamon roll is a must try. Prices are mid range. Family friendly.

My housemate and I switched over to the Broadway location after a not-so-good time at the Clark location. The server was on point. He kept our glasses filled, checked in numerous times and made sure everything was 'fantastical'. The location doesn't a big inside seating area but it makes up for it with patio seating. As always the food is on point. Kudos to the cook and the entire staff.

By far the best breakfast cafe in Boystown - maybe even all of Chicago. If the line out the door doesn't prove it, then the freshly made cinnamon rolls slathered with icing probably will. Be aware that the Sunday morning churchgoer rush makes for a long wait, but believe me when I say it's worth it.

Taken here for breakfast by our niece in Chicago who lives close by and comes here often. It was a Saturday morning and it was very busy, but we were seated and served promptly. Our server, Rick, was very pleasant and helpful.. Swedish foods being a speciality, I ordered the Swedish pancakes with lingonberries and they were very good. Another person ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese wrap and enjoyed it, although she was not able to finish it.

Definitely want to watch showing up when it's busy though. Sunday is a very busy day there, for example, so you might be waiting for a table.

It's 1 or 2 sides depending on your selection. And they are known for their cinnamon rolls which are amazingly delicious. Plus 2 of those amazing rolls count as only 1 side.

Ok, so first off the staff at Ann Sather is always amazing. Even when it's crowded servers give you plenty of time and space while still not neglecting their tables. I've never been disappointed with food here, nor have i left hungry. The crab cakes benedict is a solid twist on the classic benedict, though I would ask for the hollandaise on the side. If you're a juice person make sure you ask if they have any non menu blends currently. Pro tip, if you don't know what sides to get, do the cinnamon rolls. Not only are they large but you get two and they taste like actual heaven.

The cinnamon rolls are iconic. Egg dishes are served with two sides, and if you choose the cinnamon rolls as one side you get two of them—plan on sharing! Portions are ample; an Ann Sather breakfast holds me until dinner. Waitstaff are attentive, kept my coffee filled. Wish they had more than one restroom, though, as it’s awkward hovering outside waiting your turn.

I may be a bit biased but I think Ann Sather has the best cinnamon rolls that have ever touched your tongue. You can choose them as one of the sides that are included with most of your breakfast meals or enjoy one with your lunch since it is already included with you meal. If you really want to take it a step further have the fantasy French toast made with two cinnamon rolls cut in half, dipped in French toast batter before being grilled a golden brown then add some mascarpone between the layers top that with granola, berries and a dusting of powdered sugar. After the first bite you'll know exactly why it has been recommended by Rachael Rae. Cinnamon rolls aren't the only thing with raving about, a great selection of omelets and breakfast wraps that can be customized if you choose or create your own. Try the Swedish sampler for a taste of Sweden on a plate right here in Chicago. You get Swedish pancake, meatball and potato sausage but that's not all, you also get an egg cooked any style and your choice of fresh fruit or hash browns. Although I usually have good things to say about Ann Sather's (other than the absurd price for an XL orange juice, which by the way, I can buy a whole container at Jewel down the street for much cheaper), today I was astonished at the unprofessional behavior I witnessed from the manager, Mike. I ordered my usual this morning a little before noon and as my girlfriend and I were eating our food, we heard him start to yell at his staff because they were "messing around while they were slammed". Keep in mind, it wasn't even that busy at this point-- packed yeah, but everyone was already eating. I never had a problem with the staff, they're always happy to work and go out of their way to make the customers happy. But Mike clearly does not care about his workers and only cares about the money he makes. I will be reporting him to Tom in regards to this incident, and will be eating breakfast elsewhere!

Sub-par food. Worst version of corned beef hash I have ever had, tasted like canned corned beef mush. Coffe is weak and tastes too close to Maxwell House. Over priced. Tables are tiny..20×24, no room for more than 1 plate and a drink each, yet every breakfast meal comes with 2 additional sides on separate dishes. Dont waste your money, you are better off at IHOP.

I ordered a cinamon roll as a side (and a side cinamon roll is really two rolls--which, when they're brought out to you, makes you feel like a 10 year old on Christmas). Now I am deeply disappointed that I ordered potatoes as my second side, because a second side cinamon roll would have netted me four of those bad boys! Four! What was I thinking?! Those cinamon rolls are utterly amazing. They are magnificent, large rolls of heavenly, cinamony, icing-drenched, artery clogging perfection. Must drive 4.5 hours to get back here for another experience with breakfast perfection... And this time, two sides of cinnamon rolls! Oh Ann Sather Cafe, what have you done to me?

Okay breakfast, nothing special. My son loves cinnamon rolls but did not like the cream cheese base to it. What my husband and I got was okay but not great. Service was very slow.
