My dinner would have been 5 star if I would have received my water with my drink and my salad before my meal.. but I didn't. The food was amazing don't get my rating wrong.its just that the service was awful, there were a few, 2, large parties, that night and I guess service all around suffers. In recap...food is great, service is Not. The table next to me waited 15 minutes before asking the bus boy for silverware to eat their desert after the server knew they needed forks for their cheesecake when she brought it to the table!! Really???

This resturant has excellent food but the service could be improved. My daughter, grandson & myself walked in for a quick coffee & danish or such. We were acknowledged. We said we were in a hurry & just needed a little something. Then the phone rang. Instead of answering & putting them on hold, she proceeded to take a very lengthy order ahead of us. This went on for almost 5 min. We left. She might have been new, but proper training could have helped us stay.

The food tasted OK, but it was "meh" enough that the price point seemed absolutely obscene! A tiny little chicken breast for almost 20 dollars (that they advertise as a large chicken breast) and the cesar salad they give you is literally 6 or 7 Romain Lettuce shoots with Cesar dressing drizzled on top. It was literally six LEAVES of Lettuce on a plate spread out to cover the whole thing. Six. Leaves. They give you 4 little broccolis, mashed potatoes and a tiny chicken breast and then charge you almost 20 dollars. Leaving underwhelmed and hungry to say the least.

The best thing about it is its quaint cozy decor and taste of food. So it gets 5 star for the experience. However, on a busy day, the tables are very close together and the comfortability quickly goes down. The food is also way over priced for the portion size.

In a grimy little city like Lewiston I was suprised to find such a great place to eat. They had some amazing vegetarian options I had the Greek Veggie Burger and it was better than your typical heated up frozen Gardenburger they used real veggies and avacado for the patty base. The Polenta Fries were amazing and the service was superb. A true gem in Lewiston.

The food was delicious! The only negatives were the errors on our order, no chicken on my gnocchi and my husband got the wrong soup. That turned out fine because he liked the soup he got and the gnocchi was plenty without the chicken. I recommend the Mystic Cafe.

This is the worst restaurant i’ve been to in a while. They barely had anyone in the restaurant and still took 45 minutes to get us our food. I am extremely disappointed in their menu choices, and the food wasn’t even good. DO NOT GO HERE!

Great food and great atmosphere in a beautiful, historic, brick building in downtown Lewiston. On certain days throughout the month they have open mic night or a live jazz band playing. I was able to enjoy the jazz band on my first visit to Mystic Cafe this past Friday night. The food was fantastic! The Ahi Poke appetizer was amazing, as was the their Scallops entree. The only reason I did not give Mystic Cafe 5 stars is due to the waitress. Having never been, we chose to go to Mystic Cafe for our date night, so we could enjoy the live music over dinner and drinks. However, our waitress seemed to want to get us in and out of there as soon as possible (and from what I could tell, it wasn't from lack of a available tables for other diners). The salads that came with our entrees were placed in front of us before we had time to eat half of our small appetizer. Out entrees came out shortly after. I had just taken my first bite when she was back asking us how everything tasted, though only one of us even had a chance to taste it. Half way through the entree, we were asked if we would like another drink, to which we said "not quite yet". She then asked if we would be having dessert. We said we didn't know and would take a look at the menu. After finishing our meal, she asked if we wanted dessert, which we politely declined. At which time she asked if we were paying with cash or card. At this point, we had only been seated for 40 minutes. We, very directly, asked if we were allowed to sit and enjoy another drink while listening to the band or if we needed to leave. She said we could certainly stay, but it wasn't a pleasant exchange. At this point, we were finally left alone to enjoy the remainder of our date, though it was spent talking and having a laugh about how fast we had to eat. I can't honestly say whether or not I would go back again, especially for a nice night out. Maybe I'll try again some morning when I'm looking for a new place to enjoy some coffee?

I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. It was very rustic and cozy. The food was great as well, especially those cinnamon rolls! My disappointment was with my eggs Benedict. It tasted great, however, my eggs were not poached like they should be, they were cooked through. It was still delicious, but would have been 10x better with the correct eggs. The service was a bit lacking as well, but it might have been because they were rather busy that day.

I had the Skinny Fries which I loved! They were thin and crisp. Too bad other places don't take a lesson on their fries! I'll go back for sure. The breakfast menu looked very good.

Wow. So glad I scrolled down in google maps under breakfast to find this spot. I’m not from here but my family is and I’ve been visiting since I was born. This was the best breakfast I’ve ever had in Lewiston. Got the huevos Benedict and it did not disappoint. I can tell the rest of the menu is on point from what was listed in it. Can’t wait to come back later this week for lunch and have one of the great craft beers and a Sammy. This will be my go to when I’m in town. Also well decorated with a steampunk/rustic/western theme. Staff was great too.

Amazing restaurant! The atmosphere is some of the best in Lewiston, and you can't ask for quicker or better service. The food is incredibly delicious, especially the quesadilla, the caesar salad, and the polenta fries. Definitely a must stop if you are in town.

The setting is rustic and beautiful, the space is mainly original with a very country vintage vibe with touches of modern amenities. The food was excellent with some healthy options including the beet salad and lamb burger. While there we also took a minute to have a shot of espresso (perfectly pulled bold shots) in the cafe and chat with the baristas. The staff was very friendly and inviting. I will definitely be stopping back into the Mystic cafe the next time I am in Lewiston.

I went there with my boyfriend for dinner, the menu was small, and that's fine, but it just seemed rather pricy to me. I'm not exactly wealthy and there wasn't a lot of cheap options one meal being upwards of $30. I got something for around $9 as an "appetizer" that still seemed to be rather large and it was VERY flavorful but I would like to see some more cheaper options on the dinner menu. The boyfriend got something a little more pricy but in turn a bit bigger, the Mustard noodles or something to that, he really liked it and I tried some of it too but being someone who buys the cheapest of foods and generally has really low quality stuff it just tasted strange to me. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it a lot as well, but I suppose my taste buds aren't used to that level of complex flavors. I somewhat felt guilty in the establishment due to being low income I felt like I wasn't allowed in there because the food was extremely fancy and so where the atmosphere. It might not be important but I did however overhear two of the employees talking about how the store doesn't have a liquor license so it is only strictly beer and wine.

Food and service excellent. Hours of operation good. Live music on a regular weekly basis. On open mic night weekly. Owners commonly on site (own many local restaurants - presence ensures continuing quality service). Disabled access and parking good. Most tables are tall tables to high bar style tables. There are a few accessible tables but all placed directly in front of band area. Back quiet area has only high tables. If you are disabled with standard table height needed, better bring your ear plugs and don't count on casual dinner conversation. Four stars only because of specific desires of disabled access tables while music playing being available in quiet areas.

So if I'm being honest I really have enjoyed their food in the past until today. This afternoon my family and I went for lunch. My sister ordered the Italian sliders. Which looked great. When my sister went to take a bite it EXPLODED. Splashing HOT GREASE ALL OVER HER CHEST AND FACE BEARLY MISSING HER EYES. When we asked to see the manager, the manager came out. And after we told her what had happened she LAUGHED. I'm not kidding she LAUGHED. I have never been treated like this before. I am absolutely astounded that an establishment would act in such an inappropriate and condescending. The messed up thing is what if it had happened to a child?. This is not the end of this subject. I'm just getting started. ZERO STARS

Went for coffee and breakfast. Breakfast was excellent, although a bit overpriced on numerous items. We got caramel macchiato that were well made but so ridiculously sweet that we both had to chase them with water. Tasted great otherwise, I'd just suggest ordering with half syrup. Also, peppered bacon was awesome.

On a Tuesday night i ordered the pan-seared scallops and my spouse ordered pan-seared Halibut. Both proteins were cooked perfectly. The Risotto was properly prepared. I have not had a meal that good since Sacramento. It was as good as anything i have eaten in Sactown.

We had our choice to sit at a table or booth. I ordered coffee and avocado toast, yummy. Had to ask for more coffee every time, my friend had to remind the waiter for her requested almond milk and s spoon to stir her tea. Even though that happened I would go back, my food was very tasty!

Yes as the comment below states I am en ex employee who yes was disgruntled with the way they terminated myself and another. Them knowing that I was starting over once again on my own with nothing and no family for support putting myself through school to try and give myself a better life than working for, I guess you could say shady people the rest of my life. Losing my job when I did meant the textbooks I needed for fall semester won’t be able to be purchased and the cost of tuition I cannot afford to pay in full. This is not a bad place to eat and for restaurants it’s one of the cleaner ones I have worked in. But I think I was more furious with the fact they stooped down to the level of calling the police claiming “$79 In senior discount abuse” which means missing not sure how many days of school to fight that because I won’t just let it go and have that on my record. it’s losing that many days of learning and education and days of class that I need in order to graduate. That is my problem with this place!

I had the eggs benedict and it was good. I usually sub bacon for ham and the combination of the peppery bacon that they use and hollandaise was nice. My only criticism is the service, it was very slow, I was with a group of three and we watched our food sit in a warming area for 5-10 minutes before it was brought to use.
