I was in town for some training and saw this place. I was there before they opened so i thought I'd wait in the parking lot. The next person that showed up was a younger man who was doing his best to look all thuggish and staring me down in my vehicle. He wandered around the building for a bit and then another car pulled in and unlocked the business. The first guy went in and I decided to stay and give it a shot. After all, not every one has a sunny personality. However, the next car that showed up had a very unkept male get out, I was hoping he was a customer and not staff. I watched him walk towards the business blowing snot out of his nose, he didn't have a hanky, tissue, or anything. As he was blowing his snot I would assume some got on his hands based on how he wiped his hands on his pants. Now I had to stay to see if he was a customer or staff. I watched him walk into the business and then behind the counter where he began his duties....without hand washing. That was it for me, I left without trying the food.

Great place if you have some time to spend. The food was really good and the atmosphere is fun. The waitress was really awesome. It did take a while after we ordered to get our food but it was fresh and the burger patties seemed to be homemade so I wasnt upset. We went for my mother in laws birthday and it was a great experience.

Great food and friendly service. The onion rings are homemade and delicious. Burgers are made in house. A good selection of food, something for everyone. Strawberry rhubarb pie a la mode completed a great meal. 2nd time got a bow-tie with bacon bits and cheddar cheese, pickles, tomato, onion with mayo and sweet potato fries to go. Ate at Fort Boise Park because I had my puppy with me. Great food!! And great service too.

Delicious, mouth-watering dishes! Very filling, with large portions (I have leftovers every time). The menu is a bit limited, but the options are so good you'll find yourself ordering your same favorites every time. I recommend the burger, fry and pie. Seat yourself dining with VERY friendly staff. It can be rather drafty in the winter, so if you get cold easily bring a jacket or hope to be seated by the pellet stove if it is running.

I have been here 5 times in the past couple of years. I love it here. It is on the spendy side. But it is great food. I even tried the Hemi Challenge. It's a HUGE burger, a bunch of tots, and a shake. And you only have an hour to eat it all.

The menu has something for everyone. Bring your appetite - you won't leave hungry. The tater tots rocked! Milkshake was delicious! Pie selection was wonderful. Prices were reasonable and well worth it. The restaurant was clean and well organized. The decor was in line with the converted garage theme. Loved it! Our 15 year old son is a gear head muscle car enthusiast - he borrowed my phone to take pictures. He was in heaven. The employees were exceptionally friendly and talkative. There isn't much in Notus, Idaho to visit but add Garage Cafe to your list if you are in the area.

Good food, homemade items, and PIE !! Small, with smaller kitchen . So when super busy, some things are a bit lacking. But is still good if you are not in a big hurry or picky about protocol. Waitresses seem happy to be there and to serve. Breakfast is awesome and portions large.

Food is meh..... nothing special. Can be very greasy at times....however service is horribly slow and inconsistent. Been this way last 3 times we have been there. Other tables which sat later served food and drinks first and out of order. Portions are good if you want a gut bomb. Price is about average.

During a pass through on our way to Yellowstone from Washington, I looked at places in the area to eat at and saw this cute Cafe. Let's just say the entire family was not Disappointed. We had the country fried steak, a spicy burgers with tots and my son had the chocolate chip pancakes. All of them were great. Loved the decor too!

Cool place to stop in for a bite. It was a functional garage way back in it hay day. Now it has been converted in to a cafe with great food in little Notus. When you walk in the front door you walk in to what would be the reception/waiting area of the garage. The main seating area to the left of the front door is what would have been the garage area. It has the look and feel(still) of an old garage. Love it. Classic signs on the wall make this a must see.

Went for prime rib, awful. Meat was super fatty. Sour cream for our baked potato came in a to-go container. When we opened it, it was rotten. I have never smelled anything as bad as the sour cream was.

Just ate for the second time at the Garage Cafe. Wow, big servings, and the food is delicious! The omelettes have 6 eggs in them! I like veggies in my omelette, so I got the vegetarian and then had them add bacon and changed to cheddar cheese. It was very tasty! I also had a peanut butter pancake with it, and it was good too! We will definitely be back!

This is one of those "hole in the wall" locations that is really good. The "Garage Cafe" is an old converted gas station garage that is nicely put together. The food was really good, service was good, and overall a pleasant lunch.

We went there on Friday night March 2nd, 2018. Our first time there. It is a cool place and pretty good hamburger joint, but when it comes to the Friday night special, they need some serious help. If you are going to charge 16.95 for prime rib, it it better knock your socks off if you ever want to sell another one. The salad could be much better and a more generous helping. Salads should be cold and have more items included. The prime rib needed to be properly cut and trimmed up and not cooked like a burger. It was really hard to cut it into bits, because the cutlery was so dull. Sharpen them up or buy some good utensils. Higher quality utensils will actually look cleaner when they are out in public. The atmosphere was great and the place has a cool menu and theme about the garage. People were nice and friendly.

Five of went together. We ordered three hamburgers, and two breakfasts. The food was wonderful. Two in our party are going back together for the food. He said he planned on going back until he had eaten the whole menu. Food was that good. Three of us won't be back for a long time. Wish we could, but sadly Portland is to far to drive for a great burger and sweet potatoes Fry's for lunch.

I had the power breakfast- biscuits and gravy. It was amazingly different. Not your usual boring sausage gravy. My husband had the Harley omelet. The ham actually tasted fresh out of the oven and seasoned sweet and no so salty. We really enjoyed the conversation with the waitress as well. We highly recommend these guys!

The place was super cute and I loved the feel of it but I had some serious issues.. #1 The bathroom floor was so sticky that I'm home now and my shoes are still sticking to the floor. #2 I ordered a taco salad. The taco meat was not seasoned AT ALL. It wasnt even salted. It had a sliver of onion on it that tasted almost like vinegar. Is that rotten? Idk.. Then after not having any taco flavoring at all in my TACO salad, I go to put it in a to go box and discover there is some kind of sauce underneath the crunchy taco shell, taste it, and it taste like taco!!! So mind blowing.. the shell was so perfectly cooked and had such promise only to be filled with unseasoned hamburger.. I really wanted to like this place but i dont see myself going back =(

I flew to Boise from California to visit my father now who lives in Middleton. I told him that I wanted to eat local food and he said he knew the perfect place. As soon as we pulled up I just loved the look of the old gas station. When you walk in and all the old car memorabilia and license plates and other shenanigans is very cool. The staff was super friendly and welcomed us like family. The menu had plenty of great American choices to choose from. I had the burgers and onion rings they were to die for. I definitely will recommend this place to anyone who goes to visit as well as make it a regular stop to my future visits.

Heard good things but Wow really BAD, gravy was paste sausage was hocky puck egg over easy NOT hard as a Rock side hash browns crispy very greasy nasty taste. Nothing homemade cept for the biscuit. SO DISAPPINTED......... Wow really not very nice. I was on the farm 26 hauled potatoes I know fresh and I know old grease two very different taste. Take your digs somewhere else. Bad business.
