REVIEWS OF Koko Head Cafe IN Hawaii

I can’t imagine what a joy it must be to work here. To witness joyful smile after smile of a satisfied customer. The two thin older people next to us ordered six dishes and finished every last bite. There are no wrong choices here so don’t fret on what you order. It’s all perfection.

smhottle92 .

There was about a 5 minute wait at 11am. My family was sat quickly and had a server come by with a smile in just a few minutes. Food was great, employees were awesome, we will definitely be back for more.

18Aug19 I had heard so much about this place. No problem with the wait time. No problem with the waitress. She gave great meal advice. My problem was with the meal. I ordered the steak and eggs (fried hard). When my meal arrived, my eggs were over easy. The waitress noticed and took the plate back to redo the eggs. By the time I received my plate back, both my steak and potatoes were cold. The salad left a lot to be desired, very little salad dressing and just dried greens. The steak was tough and dry. The pickled onions was the best thing on the plate. The ginger beer was refreshing. I can say I have been here. I will not come back .

Juliana Sullivan

So good I went two days in a row. The cornflake french toast, elvis sandwhich, and congee were excellent. Service was good. Good atmosphere.

D Cadalora

Great twist on local produce and flavors! It's always packed, so show up early! Breakfast cocktails are yummy along with their specials and regulars. They are famous for their French Toast among other delights!

Jason Cosner

Great place for awesome breakfast....friendly staff.

Sam S

Food was great, service was too! LONG WAIT FOR SEATING, good place to go if you have nothing planned. Cup of coffee is $5 and only one refill. Kind of lame considering the vintage dinner style seats etc..BUT like I said, food was great!!

Andrew P

Amazing breakfast! Friendly service, can't go wrong on the menu whether you're craving sweet or savory. Definitely coming back

Could be better.. Went with my girlfriend, my sister and her husband. Waited 15 minutes for a table outside (no place to sit as benches full), then sat at a booth. Ignored for 5+ minutes, even when busser made 5 trips to the table next to us to clean and server walked by us a few times for other tables. I don't think my bowl was good. The French eggs are not my thing. The pork belly portion was literally less than an ounce of meat. I get they are hipster, popular and a young vibe but count me out. Also- drinks are spendy! $12 for a drink but they are good. Just not enough alcohol to even feel slightly buzzed. Sorry guys, not gonna spend that kind of money ($15 with tax and tip) for less than a shot of booze. My food sucked, but my sister and her gf enjoyed theirs, they go skillets. Mine was cold. Sent it back, literally they brought the same plate back to me that was still cold. Thought they had a top chef chef or something? Me thinks not.. will not return.

Scott

Had to wait to get seated but totally worth the wait! Their version of the loco Moco was awesome

This is my favorite place to go in Oahu. It’s a hole in the wall but completely worth it. If you want something different as in food try the ricotta pancakes. It sounds crazy but one bite into it will make your mouth savor. The French toast are excellent as well. The service is great and efficient. I strongly recommend this local spot. Note: come here early, the restaurant is small and waits can be over an hour.

Cora Marie Zamora

The bibimbap is delicious.

Collin E.

Food selection and quality are on point. The daily specials are amazing. Decent brunch cocktails and overall an amazing experience. Expect a 30-45 minute wait during peak times like sat and sun brunch.

Blaine Mullican

Great service, great food

Darryl Williams

Amazing food and amazing staff. Very helpful!

Colby Henderson

The food was okay, nothing exceptional. There was a long wait, no parking validation available, and the prices are a bit high for the portions. I was definitely hungry after my breakfast here.

Lilian Dizon

Loved the pan Asian fusion dishes! We would def return!

J R Lazar

Nice brunch spot. No cook to order option.

David Hoang

Cool brunch place we randomly came too. Service is great and the skillet I had was excellent. it has a Asia flare to it

Etienne Spangenberg

The high rating is well deserved!! Every plate we sampled was beautiful executed!! HIGHLY recommend this spot for the perfect brunch spot!

michael bessette

Best breakfast place in the area, be prepared to wait for a table.

Camden Mullenaux

Look no further for the best place to grab brunch in Kaimuki. The wait may be long but it is always worth it. I’d recommend the Elvis sandwich (peanut butter, banana, bacon). The service is great too. The servers are not only attentive but also know how to suggest the perfect meal.

Craig Paul

Not for people restricting calories. Known for their pancakes and French Toast.

homan krishna

Amazing twist on some traditional items and some really unique dishes. A must try if you are in Honolulu. There is always usually a wait.l, but it's worth the wait.

JoAnne Sipili

Nice cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. We had the Koko Moco and French Toast and we were definitely not disappointed! Both dishes were very "Ono", the French Toast is a must have item. We went on a weekday just before 8:00am and there was no waiting, but soon after people started pouring in.

Cheryl (Yeoh) Sew Hoy

I was very excited to eat hear after hearing all the good stuff about it from friends, and while it was good, it wasn’t great. It was just above average. Not sure why everyone raved about the special dumplings; it’s nothing special honestly since it was fried and laden with sauce ($13 for 4 dumplings). The breakfast kimchi and cornflakes French toast was pretty delicious but not mind blowing. The staff didn’t seem super friendly or attentive at first. I was also quite surprised to find a cappuccino or latte to cost $5 here. Overall quite expensive and A- food.

diego ng

lots of nice rice dishes!

jordan campbell

Great brunch. Dumplings are great. Koko moko is super tasty. Nice staff. Parking is tough so bring quarters for the meters.

Mike Chan

Service was a bit slow..waiting for our water. The single drip Hawaiian coffee was smooth and flavourful. Must get!! We had the Dumplings all Day Wong. They were deep fried and very crispy. It’s $13 for 5 pcs, pretty expensive I think. My French toast was pretty good: crispy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside.

Luis Felipe Hourani

If they say more than a 15min wait go somewhere else this place is good but not great the cornflake French toast was really good other than that wasnt too amazing definitely wasnt worth the hour we waited.

B Murakawa

Koko Head Cafe is a great breakfast or brunch experience. You'll find dishes that you see anywhere else. Delicious combination of ingredients that make dining here fantastic. They open at 7am and getting here before 8am you'll probably beat the crowd during the weekend. You want a boozy breakfast, they have a good variety of alcohol to satisfy those who enjoy a drink with their meal. Serve is attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Lance Agena

One of the best places for brunch in Kaimuki. Usually, has a long wait on the weekends to get in — for good reason. Everything in the menu is exceptional. While some other restaurants may try to make a higher end version of local cuisine, Koko Head Cafe excels in making good food that appeals to Hawaii’s multicultural tastes. The service is prompt, friendly, and attentive. The chicky and eggs are my fav. And while you’re there, drop a couple dollars for the kitchen’s beer fund (mention it to the wait help).

Daniel Jang

Was not great :/ For $17ish a person, I just expected more

demarcus jackson

Amazing food, staff was awesome. French toast was amazing.

Kelly Ngo

Awesome brunch spot! It’s known to get very busy here...so expect a wait. Parking in this area is HORRIBLE...you can’t even find a spot in the paid parking lot. We were here on a weekday in April for brunch...nothing special and could not find parking at all. Fun, comfy vibe. It’s a little chilly in there with the air con. The food is awesome! Must try/my faves: Elvis’ Revenge - deep fried banana with peanut butter and honey. Koko Moco

Jess G

Koko Head Cafe is for sure popular among locals and tourists. We arrived there at around 8:15am on a weekday, it’s almost filled up. The menu is very special. We ordered “two eggs”, which is a more traditional breakfast with 2 sunny side up eggs, bacon, hush brown, a flat sausage and toast. The sausage is really delicious. We also ordered “koko moco”. It’s a sunny side up egg, beef, garlic rice and tempura pickle. The pickle actually was my favourite. Interesting food but if it has to wait for over half an hour, maybe it doesn’t worth it. Choose your time of visit wisely!

George King

Food was delicious and the service was quick and polite. Great meal.

Bill Seki

All "Ono"! Great for locals and tourists.

christopher Blas

This place was awesome food drink and service was great. It's a bit of a pain to find parking when busy, but that minor inconvenience is well worth it.

Anastasia Demehin

Hands down - the best (so delicious and creative) breakfast on the island considering we didn’t have a bad meal here. Wow! Try specials, come early in am during the week to avoid long waits.

Oat Gnoix

Pricey and very slow. They charged me for takeout. And parts of the rice was crunchy...

Travis Law

Small place to eat. Start to finish we took over 2 hours. The food was okay, the portions were small. The prices were higher than expected. The service was lacking.

Kevin Rabago

Good food but wait is long - about an hour. I had the breakfast bimbimbap.

Adam P

Great menu. Fast forward like 6 months and they'll have a Michelin star.

Patrick Gibbons

Best French toast ever. Probably not French or toast but definitely the best. The bacon was superfluous. Seriously. I also got a rib skillet. Also wonderful.

Jacqueline Washington

Tucked down an unassuming alleyway, the Koko Head Cafe is a delight. I enjoyed the bibimbap skillet (with a crispy base!), iced coffee (plus a free refill) and the daily special - coffee bread pudding. All the food was wonderful, and the cafe has a lively atmosphere - there's a good vibe with the staff, and that flows into the cafe.I highly recommend if you want to experience a bit of East Asian/Pacific fusion brunch, well away from the usual tourist fare of Waikiki

Aaron Maggied

Cocktails are creative and delicious. And the Korean inspired brunch dishes are top notch. All this mixed with a welcoming beach vibe makes it worth the wait.

Crystal Watanabe

Always yummy and adventurous!

Thach Tran

60 minute wait for party of 8 Sun 8:30 AM (after we were told 45 minutes). Food was good but not worth the wait. At least 15 minutes between the first breakfast served at our table and the last. At least another 15 minutes between the 2 desserts served. Server was nice but slow. Restaurant is loud with kids yelling. Not recomended for parties more than 4.

Rachel Frost

French toast and koko moco!!! Great cocktails

Holger Heine

One of the best breakfast/brunch places in HNL. Original, friendly, excellent

Ceri Copeland

Intimate, casual, excellent service, food was amazing...flavorful and fresh!! Hard to find parking, but definitely worth it!

Valerie Ferguson

This place was amazing! The best food I've ever had in Honolulu!

John B Ward

Funky, delicious, honest, crafty and in the heart of a well established working class neighborhood. Loco Moco was delicious. Find a spot on the street to park if you're driving and look for the modest yellow and white awning over the door. Also, a short walk from the main drag of Waikiki Beach.

Daniel Lelchuk

Great ocean rice. Must have!

angela Klebe

oh my yum brunch. I had the french toast & my mouth was melting. The local coffee was delicious & we even treated ourselves to some of their specialty cocktails. It was all outstanding. highly recommend.

Jaeger Mah

I wasn’t happy with my biscuit & gravy, or with the kimchi scone.. they just tasted kind of boring and bland. On one hand I felt it lacked flavour / portion size.. but on the other hand I really wanted to give it an fare rating. Price = 3, Taste = 3, Vibe = 5, Ingredients = 5.

Noa T

Went here for brunch with a couple friends and noticed their menu pretty much revolves around eggs. As someone who doesn't eat eggs, this was a bit disappointing because their non-egg selection was very limited. We ordered their French toast, a coconut beef stew skillet, and a bibimbap skillet, all were pretty good. All in all, I'm glad I went once but I'm not raring to go again.

Chico

This is by far the best breakfast place in the world for me I've been going here for a couple of years and it never ceases to amaze me the staff is very friendly to food is on point kitchen staff is energetic. They have lovely specials which they explain to you at the beginning of service. The vibe is amazing definitely a must go if you're ever in Hawaii this is a true local spot that I highly recommend to all they have never disappointed me I will always come back again and again and again thank you Koko Head Cafe for making my mornings wonderful

Dean Adit Prapanca

The brunch menus are great. Just great.

lanikai352

Just awesome! Just be prepared to wait a little to be seated, totally worth it.

khmersoulz

Went on a tuesday for brunch, full house, but managed to be seated faily quickly. Service was very kind and comforting. Ordered the steak and eggs omelette. I came to the conclusion that, despite what I thought, I had never actually consumed steak in an omlette. It changed my life. Koko moco was cool too, not too salty and overdone . 5/3 Michelin stars.

veronica pedroza

Everything was so good! I wish I had more stomach space to order and eat more because everything sounded amazing

Ryan B

We had heard about how delicious Koko head cafe was from a friend and were not disappointed! The wait wasn’t too long, we got sat and staff took good care of us. We ordered the corn flake French toast and it was fantastic! Probably going to go back before we leave the island.

Slade Neeley

Good food, friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere! I am not very good at posting photos, mostly because I am too excited not to dive into the food. Today's fare was no exception. We (Mrs and I) sat at the counter and when the fried hash browns hit the window, I couldn't wait to try them. The hash browns did not disappoint. So memorable. Really enjoyed my frittata special (it had butternut squash, goat cheese, onion, and other tasty items). Service was friendly and kept my beverage full. Staff seemed to genuinely enjoy being there (which is good for being at work). I promise to post pictures next time. I will be back

Ram Azriel Braza

Great food, but expensive. Plus parking is not free and make sure you pay the parking fee because the Honolulu Parking Service is always checking the lot. If you don’t mind spending between $16-$25 on a meal for one person, then this is the spot for you.

Saumya Gumidyala

This spot nails all my breakfast dreams. I arrived early enough to nab a seat at the counter- one of the great benefits of dining solo. The bartender and I pow wow'd about my meal and pulled the local sitting next to me into the conversation. Got lucky and my dining neighbor and decided to combine forces and taste off each other's plates. Those dumplings...gah! Heaven. I'm not a pancake person, but these were fantastic and it was nice to have a bit of sweet as a complement to all my savory dishes. There's really no going wrong here. I just love how they kill it with balance of flavors and are clearly aware of how layering textures can take a dish to the next level. Will be back next time I'm in Honolulu.

Anthony Ramos

Great dishes by Chef Lee Ann Wong. Their version of Loco Moco, & Corn Flake French Toast was our favorites.

Cheryl Smith

I've always wanted to try this place, and I'm so glad I did!!

Liz Smith

Great food, quality ingredients, good service.

kyle connors

We saw this place on the food network and it didn’t disappoint. Delicious food and drinks. The staff was nice even though it was super busy. Be ready to wait for an hour or more. But totally worth it in the end. We got alittle bit of everything. The dumplings were delicious and the breakfast bruschetta I could eat everyday.

Amu Rosen

Loco moco & Bibimbap delicious

Andrew Martinek

Great food and service!

yt89451

Koa pancake house not koko head cafe. Food very good. Somewhat fast foodish but good entree ideas.

Chaz Bradley

Best breakfast I've ever had! Amazing unique dishes with a nice vibe and staff. Went 3 times in a week!

Patricia Uribe

Egg Handwitch..and amazingly delicious!

Julia A. Melzer

I’d give this place ten stars. Every option on the menu seemed to be amazing. My egg handmich was our of this world. Perfect breakfast option. We got there a little after it opened and it got super packed fast so I would plan accordingly when going for a taste. Overall a MUST visit!

Harrison Nichols

Get the loco Moco and bibimbap

Robyn Knott

Food was good but wasn't enough. The portions are way too small and not only I but a few of my co workers still felt hungry when we were finish with our meal so basically make the plates bigger with bigger portions. Mahalo

Xin Zhang

Very interesting and unique breakfast place. If you come to this place, try the bibimbap. It is very flavourful and satisfied. We came on a Saturday and it was about an half hour wait.

Cindy Kortuem

Overrated and disappointing service and meal. First impression was good as the place was lively and full of customers and high energy staff. Unfortunately it just did not live up to the hype. Even with a good ratio of staff to customer and initial friendliness, our waitress was inattentive so it felt like we were waiting forever to order or to ask her for something. At one point I finally had to get up to go talk to her because my son’s pancakes were getting cold and the maple syrup we asked for was not coming at all. Seriously, maple syrup should not take over 5 minutes. I was wondering if it was some kind of special syrup that needed heating in the kitchen, but it wasn’t. The response I received was that it was organic. Wha?! The highlight of the meal was the dumpling special. It was tasty but served with the sauce already on top. The lowlight was the $6 Ocean rice side dish which came a good 5 minutes earlier than the dumplings. It’s served in a mini cast iron skillet which looked cool but created a burnt rice crust with flavourless seaweed on top. No seasoning detected at all. I would have liked to add salt but again, service was way too slow.

mama hi-life

Expensive but why? The food is well known for being top quality but honestly... We spent over $150 and my kids and I were still hungry because breakfast wasn't quite what we were expecting. I dont remember everything we had- that may say something- but the eggs are cooked with cream which makes them very.... Wet. My husband's noodle bowl seemed a little flavorless. The steak I had was just meat, again with a lack of seasoning or anything to give it depth. The only thing we really liked was the sour beer, it's so good and pairs well with the local mixed fruit bowl the kids ordered (and disliked). So all in all, the atmosphere is great, service is great- but I don't think it's for we with lesser palates lol.

Dave Lefkow

Brunch done right! You won’t regret going there. Everything is so great.

Stephen H

Great service. Tasty food.

Randy Jones

Great place. Clean and friendly. Will be back.

David Han

By far one of the busiest places I went to on my trip. It was a Saturday so there was a long wait. But the staff was very nice and we were able to change up from waiting to ordering to go in which it only took 20 minutes to get out food. Between me and my friends, we got the poi biscuit and gravy, elvis' revenge, the don buri chen. The poi biscuit and gravy was a unique flare to a classic dish with a strong poi flavor. Elvis' revenge hit you hard with the peanut butter and everything inside came together perfectly. Lastly, the don buri chen, which I think is one of their most popular plates, was a great, balanced mixture of everything there is to love about Japanese fusion. Be sure to come check this place out!

Garrett McLean

Don't miss the dumplings of the day. Awesome breakfast. Definitely coming back

Eric Rolph

Gonna keep this short. This is the best brunch I've had on island. Lots of options and they come out in little skillets. Will definitely be coming back!

Johnny Lam

Wow. Excellent skillets, their breakfast bibimbap really hit the spot. Coffee was excellent and service was fast and attentive. My wife had the special scramble and ate all if it. Highly recommend stopping by for breakfast.

Jerm Ray

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Everything u had was delicious! The corn flake french toast is my favorite. We went on a Sunday morning and beat the morning Rush right before 9 am.

Victor Sandoval

Food is real good many choices have to try the corn flake French toast also this place is top chef Ann wong owns it.

Clinton Alessandro

Extremely unique flavors and fantastic drinks. A little on the pricey side but worth the experience. Definitely recommend it.

Enid Munoz

This restaurant usually has a wait on the weekends and it's worth it. Their menu consists of island spins on classic dishes. Their ingredients are fresh and the food feels healthy. I recommend checking out their chalk board for special dishes and asking about their dumplings. Expect to pay around $70 for two, including tip.

Paul Clifton Jr.

Wow, this is a great place to eat! Awesome food and great service! It came highly recommended and I was not disappointed!

David Lucey

Very good, modernized take on Asian food. Excellent service and friendly staff.

Aikane De la Hay

Overpriced food

Syd Leung

Asian French Hawaiian fusion brunch & lunch. Delicious 5 spice pork.

Daniel Seto

The food here is always good. The service, however, is spotty. Today, our server was attentive but another table was invisible because the servers were chatting instead of tending to their customers. The table in question had a mother and baby so I feel for them.

R E

Best steak and eggs I've ever had!! Great service, too! The cocktails are a bit pricey but delicious all the same. This is a great place for brunch

Derek L

Great little joint! Came here for breakfast. Best ahi poke omelette ever!

Sam Bartleman

Phenomenal cafe. Food was fantastic, the kimchi scone makes for a great appetizer or a snack for later. Service was prompt and friendly, prices reasonable, and we had no wait since we sat at the bar. Highly recommend the Udon and Bibimbap.

jman c2

Amazing food and great service! Our young server (20 something) totally channeled Mitch Hedberg in voice and demeanor...

Lance Mock

Excellent food. Everything we've tried has been very good. So good been back 2 days in a row so we could try different dishes.

Anthony Valenti

Okay if you haven’t decided to eat here based off reviews I don’t know how this one is going to help anymore… but, you have to try this place. Wife and I tried it 2 weekends ago after climbing Koko Head for sunrise and it absolutely blew us away. My wife had the French toast and I had breakfast bibimbap and ohmygawdddd it was amazing. So good, in fact, this last weekend we drove all the way from Ewa Beach to eat there. The wait can be a bit long at times, we waited an hour, but it was still worth it. The coffee is amazing, the staff is all extremely helpful, and the whole brunch experience really is perfect. I can’t rave enough about this place!! Best brunch on the island BY FAR!!

B L

Very good local restaurant. Wait wasn’t too long for breakfast. Fast service and amazing dishes.

Stephanie May

Food was incredible, friendly staff, great place to grab a bite and hang out. Pretty small inside so be ready to wait a bit when it's busy, but worth it once you get in. Local options were really tasty. Parking is pretty limited, and metered around the shops.

Kelly Blystone

Was fantastic! Delicious food great service.

Tristan Hammett

The wait was very long, however the food was great. They had a mouth watering waffle that I’ll never forget and will go back again for it!

Chase Matthews

Good food, but it is super popular so be prepared to wait for a table.

刘源

Not far from Diamond Head. We went there after a hike. At lunch time where was a line waiting outside. We had brunch at the Cottage in San Diego and hoped to find the same level food. Although the dishes we ordered here were not as impressive as at the Cottage, overall the food w as tasty and enjoyable. The waitress was nice and helpful.

c wong

Really solid delicious food! We even saw Lee Anne there working her butt off close around the holidays close to New Years. Got there around 10:30 and was seated for a table for 4 like 50 minutes later, not bad at all! Everything I tried was just so yummy and comforting and very filling. We started with the kimchi bacon cheddar scones which were so nice and savory yet moist! The dumplings were so flavorful Vietnamese inspired so you could really taste the aromatics and acidity-perfectly balanced and authentic Vietnamese flavors which tasted light even though DF. I loved my bibimbap and my husband loved his donburi, another stand out at the table was the eggs with Parmesan sauce where you dip some toasted bread. Didn't really try the chicky one but for all those other things I tried, I loved. I could have used more pungent kimchi and more hot sauce but still delicious with crispy rice on the bottom of the skillet just how I like it. We also came here with empty bellies too so managed to finish everything

Stephanie Pena

Fantastic food & Amazing service Highly recommend * 30's

Lexie Niemoeller

Yummmmm... there was a bit of a wait for brunch, but the food was excellent. Get the French toast. Get two orders. Best French toast I've ever had.

Aaron Sanchez

Fantastic food and drinks, combined with efficient service. I had to force myself to make an entree selection, because I wanted to order everything on the menu.... recommend coming here in the afternoon, less waiting time.

J Belon

This place has no shortage of amazing food here! I highly recommend the breakfast bipbimbop, especially if you like shitake mushrooms. My BFF swears by the Elvis though, because she loves peanut butter.

Stacey Quandt

The noise level is high for a small restaurant that has open tables. The kampachi and eggs special was OK. The ocean rice elevated the meal. The mauna Kea cocktail is good. The doughnuts and coffee looks small but is very filling.

복현우

Interesting local brunch restaurant. It was the only Kimchi menu I had in Oahu. Not bad, little expensive. Lively atmosphere.

Kelly

Food was excellent. Staff was nice. Lines can get a little long though if you don't come a little earlier. Coffee was a bit watered down tasting though but not a big deal. Recommended. To try though!

Brian Stafford

Good lord. Seriously good food. A bit pricier but amazing.

James Sitton Jr

Ridiculously good! And our waiter was amazing, thanks for making this a great experience!

Samantha Fernandes

Everything on the menu was amazing, great service, lovely staff. Lee Anne accommodated with moving us from a tiny table to a more comfortable table and was very attentive and engaging with guests. Will definitely dine here again when back in Hawaii!

Nathan Kam

This has been one of my favorite breakfast destinations on Oahu for years. Chef and owner Lee Anne Wong does a phenomenal job with her menu and sourcing of local ingredients. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and you’ll likely want to come and visit again and again. Bon appétit.

David Levy

Excellent brunch and reasonably priced. Super creative dishes that were all great tasting

James Speight

Make sure to check the daily specials. And never leave without getting some dumplings. Super creative people in the kitchen plus super friendly people serving equals happy belly and super satisfied customer. I will be back soon.

Skyler Kanegi

This is more of an “elevated” Hawaiian/Asian cuisine, seafood with influences from those cultures, but it’s going to be fancy, right. The price tag is mostly a result of the fancy, but the food quality is also very good. I ordered the daily fish (mahi) skillet for brunch. They were very nice about replacing my rice with salad (a crisp simple salad with dark greens, oil and pepper), but they got my order wrong because I received the plate, not the skillet. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise because the eggs were fantastic! Normally I hate the heavy oily texture of scrambled eggs, but these eggs were lightly broiled, which made them light and creamy, just like my mom used to make. The fish was soft and flaky, seasoned extremely well, and the sauce had a nice acidity. If I had one complaint, the fish was probably a little overcooked. There were some burnt areas, and the fish was more dry than I would have preferred. I also had the starfruit upside down cake with lychee dressing, and it the right amount of softness without being soggy or overly sweet, very balanced. Overall a fantastic meal, and I’m pleased with the experience as a whole, although I would have expected slightly more for the price tag.

Christine Parker

Every bite was delicious. The pastrami could have used more flavor but the bacon on the French toast more than made up for it. That and the chicky and eggs were great. Would return if we came back to Oahu in the future.

Brittnee Bali

I would go here again. Their food (though a bit pricey) is solid fusion foods. I appreciate the flavors and the quality and service are well done as well. Definitely a hot spit thiugh so go early if you can and the wait can be pretty fast but still expect to wait at least 15 to 45 minutes on faster days. Parking is by coin meter so bring change and park in the big lot a few meters away

Jon Blankemeier

My favorite place to visit for brunch everytime in Hawaii! Lee Anne is a wonderful person and a super host! All the food and drinks here are wonderful!

Bill Horger

Awesome food. Very popular place, so be ready to wait if you get there later in the morning. Their specials are absolutely scrumptious! They change often, so be prepared to listen to your server.

Jason Shaw

Went back a second time, and I still loved it.

Cassie Burks

Food was delicious, ambiance was nice. Get there early or there is a long wait.

Amit Kakde

Great place for some unique brunch options. The place is small and can get busy leading to some wait times. Food is excellent as is the service.

Essale Hymn menoza

A little bit pircey but great food and presentation. Quite a long wait but worth it.

Manu Muresan

Simple cafe serving very tasty breakfast food. Portions aren't the biggest, but they more then make up for it with the unique flavors and quality of the ingredients.

_ outplayed

Waitress was not helpful, food not that tasty long wait for small extra's. Was not at all an enjoyable experience.

Rick Thomas

Disappointing... my friend and I both had less than stellar meals...my Koko Moko burger was charred on the outside (burnt actually) the sunnyside egg was tough and not runny, my friends skillet dish was super salty. Prices are too high for what you receive.

John Kim

morning congee, yummy. didn’t do the cheese though. love congee on damp days.

Jennifer Reid

Mmmm, you won't be disappointed here! I had an amazing veggie bibimbap that has hands down been my best meal on Oahu so far. I am going to be dreaming of this when I am back home for sure!

Spencer Barclay

Food was great. I really liked the biscuit sampler. People were friendly. Facilities are fair. I thought there would be more seating.

Cynthia Pyun

Everything is onolicious. Really hard to beat, and so much food!

Ashish Tyagi

Fresh food and very friendly staff

Rob Rsl

Awesome place. Pleasant atmosphere, super friendly staff. Great food and drinks.

Future Series

Great fusions of your favorite foods. The dumplings may sound a bit far fetched at first but give them a try. I haven't had a bad one yet.

Michael Sato

This place is a foodie's delight! Delicious food in a casual setting. I've never been too impressed by restaurants described as "Asian fusion" however Koko Head Cafe gets it right. I had the Don Buri Chen and split the Cornflake French Toast with my friends. It was the perfect balance of sweet and savory.

Food was hit or miss; the Japanese chicken and pickles were delicious, but the rice and eggs were somewhat flavorless. Coffee was severely dilute as well. Kids plate was perfect. Overall not worth 73 dollars for 3 adults and a child.

the French toast here is like no other place. I am still dreaming about it! the icecream with it was a nice touch! the whole dish melted in my mouth.

I have no qualms about this place, the good was very good. The staff was super friendly. The space is comfortable but I needed to subtract a star because at the end of the day as decent and good as the food was it wasn't superb especially for the price. The flavors are there and all but it's hard to swallow the high prices on most of the dishes.

Nice people, and the food was very imaginative. However, we thought the prices were geared for the tourist and not a local family going out to eat a regular breakfast. Expensive.

Another place that is a must whenever we go home. Chef Lee Anne Wong holds no punches at her brunch spot...her staff is amazing and the food OMG the food... its a brunch spot and normally its just the 2 of us that are going there but we order enough food to feed 4-5 people every time (its like we're making up for lost time being off island hahaha) and we have NEVER been disappointed... Make sure if you are going on a weekend you either go early or don't mind waiting..the line forms pretty early and its not a big restaurant so you will wait... But I promise the food, drinks, and staff are totally worth it.

Elvis' revenge and breakfast congee were TO DIE FOR!! And we are still dreaming about the chili lime mac nut bread.

Aiden is Awesome!! Food is a super fresh& flavorful. HotSauces are hottt!! Staff is friendly. Restaurant is small, clean with nice atmosphere, right in the heart of Kaimuki, for brunch all day. Recommend.

Great place to have breakfast, staff are very knowledgeable about the menu

Ben Thomas

Good food, but pricey for what it is. Expect to pay about 100$ for family of 4. Kind of suprising when you're not getting any premium meats.

We've been wanting to try this place, but each time, the wait was so long. We tried it today, wait was 30 minutes. It was all worth it! Food was outstandingly flavorful! Service was great! A bit $$ for the portions, but I think the flavors were right on point. I loved it!! Also seeing a celebrity chef cook your food was so AWESOME!!

Renee Bureau

Cute little place with great drinks and amazing food. I went for brunch and it was delicious.

The Breakfast Congee was delish and filling! Everything so ono!

We were expecting the wait, so the 20 minutes we ended up waiting was painless, if not a bit hot in the sun. As visitors to Oahu, I asked the waitress for recommendations and was not disappointed. The special curry dumplings were amazing and my breakfast bimbimbop was great. I really wanted to try more off the menu but these two were perfectly filling. Coming back here on my next trip to Honolulu.

Great quality, but the quantity is ridiculous. For, I think $14, you'd expect bigger pancakes than this. Needless to say, I didn't leave full.
