REVIEWS OF Coffee Gallery IN Hawaii

Amazing spot for coffee. Also their iced specialty drinks are incredible

Sam B

It has a nice, friendly vibe. I love their sign, which reads, "Any child left unattended will be given a puppy and a shot of espresso."

Mark Reed

Awesome great coffee and staff

Carrie Carhart

Great lanai area to sit, blueberry cream cheese scone was good. They made my drink perfect to order. Friendly staff.

Dana Scoles

Coffee is ok. Always takes 10 minutes in here. Free WiFi is terrible. They had plugs for laptop and they REMOVED them. The Internet also prohibits access to VPN so I can't make a secure connection. Vintage coffee is better.

Greg Hadley

Great spot to grab some local coffee before/ after a day on the water.

Danny Cunningham

Good service and coffee. For those that enjoy local businesses and beans roasted for taste rather than bulk

Jason Dawson

Cool place

Devin Smith

Great chill place, bit of an oasis in a tourist strip (although I love Hale'iwa). Tons of seating, both in a covered screened area and uncovered. Bathroom at the end of the block (not in store but close), ATM in the screened porch area, best coffee I've had in a while. I just had an iced coffee - the Milky Way blend. Great looking pastries.

carlton bauer

From 2005 to 2008, I would have given this place a 5-star rating; however, having returned a couple times since, I see the atmosphere and products have declined in quality. The coffee is usually good, but the other stuff for sale like T-shirts, and mugs are not what they use to be. The store is designed now to herd tourists in a continuous stream. They had a cool web cam so I could peek in from time to time while in the mainland. That's gone. I don't think they even roast their own coffee anymore :( Did they change owners?

Rod Reece

Best coffee place on the North Shore. Food is surprisingly good quality and coffee is on point. This is coming from a coffee snob from Los Angeles; take that as you will.

Ashlea Berrocal

Iced mocha & wakey wakey eggs and bakey scone!

M Liu

Great food & coffee!

Charles Lankau

Really excellent local origin coffees roasted fresh. I had the french-pressed natural yellow caturra. Earthy, smoky, and full of bright chocolate acidity.

Justin Parker

Try the tumeric lavender or other lattes

Kimberly Pasco

Excellent spot on the North shore for refreshment of local coffee and goodies. I ordered the spicy Ginger Tonic today with a side of Hawaiian purple sweet potato and macadamia nut bar. Amazing. Plus they had a spot I could charge my nearly dead phone.

Laura McGrath

Quality product from cold brew to history as well as efficient knowledgeable staff. LOVE IT!

Drew Christ

Affordable and good tasting coffee, with some fun special drinks. I wouldn't get a breakfast burrito, it tastes like a gas station burrito that's been microwaved. That's 5$ I'll never get back...go with the granola instead!

Kathleen Black

Five stars for the adorable coffee shop chicken and delicious pineapple shake. Love it.

中嶋真樹

I have received a latte. I've found well be very good smell of coffee by itself. It is going to be a classic when I visited the North Shore.

LeTosa Anderson

My favorite spot in Haleiwa and treat yourself with the carrot cake. You won't be disappointed.

Ethan J

Acai vending spot very mellow :) nice music and extremely quite

Ursula Smerdel

Taiching

Sean Foster

Best coffee of the trip so far.

Dimah M

The best coffee on the North Shore! Great selection of traditional and unusual flavors and tastes. Great teas as well! There is also a nice patio and free WiFi.

keith isobe

awesome

Rob Zlatanovski

Great coffee at a reasonable price. Wait time can be a little long.

orcan alorcan

It is located in the heart of Old Historic Haleiwa Town, is very clean, has super friendly staff and a beatiful garden. However their coffee is not special, especially for someone who has been spoiled with German, Italian style coffee making... but you should purchase their Kona coffee beans. I absolutely love Hawaiian coffee. There is also free wi-fi and baked goods are delicious.

Milan Thapa

Good stuff, nice vibes

Lena Levin

It’s a great coffee place and a cool space with an outside seating. I liked the coffee float with vanilla ice cream the most

Jacob Barzee

I've never been so happy with a latte. We ordered their Espresso Child and Lavender latte, and they were both to-die-for! It's not something I could easily recreate at home, which I love. The staff was happy and fun to work with. Even though they were packed, our coffee came out quickly. They have a lot of seating, both indoor and outdoor, and the atmosphere is great!

Yasheen Sewnarain

Location and set up looks great. I only got a coconater: coconut flavoured dark chocolate mocha. I like the creativity behind that combination but it just didn't come through. Not bad but not great.

Steve Cross

Great coffee, service, and food. Huge sitting area with open high-speed WiFi is ideal for studying or working remotely, although your time is better spent enjoying the beauty of Hawaii's North Shore. ^_^

Gem Elle

We visited at around 7 PM for a caffeine stop. I had the chai and my hubby had their capuccino. Outdoor seating is the only option at thos coffee shop, which was fine for us. If you need to do work or something on your laptop this may not be the place to go. We found plenty of parking space. They sell cute accessories in the store, and some soaps that I assume are local. The baristas were friendly and we had no issues with the service. The atmosphere was nice although you can't enjoy it for very long because there are no seats inside the store.

Richard Darling

Really great coffee and relaxing atmosphere

Alex Medeiros

Yummy coffee and tasty pastries!

Jae C

Awesome Strawberry Ice cream sandwich.

Elizabeth Zabell

Our favorite coffee shop on the North Shore! We stayed up in pupukea for a month and drove down to get coffee every day. It was my favorite part of the morning! Not only is the coffee delicious, but so is their food. They had lots of great vegan options for us to enjoy! Definitely stop here if you’d like some great coffee!

Laura Werner

Tasty treats and a fantastic coffee selection.

Chris Wall

Coffee Gallery is the North Shore's most LEGIT coffee shop. The shots are dialed in and the staff is about as friendly as you're going to get at a local coffee shop - it's my go-to and should be yours too. Try the Ginger tonic thing hot and cold. Try the Mocha Freeze and either share it with a friend and go for a run. The atmosphere inside and out is perfect for a quiet cup or spending time with friends. Other nearby coffee shops aren't worth your time. Coffee Gallery is.

Ronaldo Friesen

Great coffee & amazing homemade baked goods! Only the Açai Bowl wasn't what I expected and it came with frozen and not fresh strawberries (even having the probably best granola I had so far which probably was also homemade!)

Sascha Müller

One of the best coffee places in this region! Great coffee and great pastry along with other food choices ... aaand ... the girls working there make you feel very welcome!

Joe Rua

Doors were open but no one in there to wait on me.

Kevin Hudgin

Service is great, wifi is free and they make some wonderful deserts

Bill Tso

Great coffee and amazing ice cream sandwiches

Gary Eckstein

Great service and coffee.

Michelle Reece

Fantastic food and great drinks! Love the comfy atmosphere.

Helen Gansit

The coconater is the BEST!

Y

They have a lot of beans :) i ordered americano and Brito. It’s reasonable and Really good!! The terrace is cozy.

David Stephenson

Good aussie style coffee though ask for double shot

Mike Gies

I don't usually write reviews, but today Coffee Gallery did right by me and I feel compelled to share. My family always comes here when we go to the north shore and we love mocha freezes from this place... It's almost become a ritual. Today, I spilled mine all over myself before getting a single sip. I asked the nice barista if they could make another and she said no problem. They probably could have charged me (and to be honest I would have paid for another, cause they are that good) but they were super friendly and started making another one for me right away. Great customer service and darn good coffee too.

Brian Maze

Nice little coffee shop with good coffee and friendly staff. Nice place to get some work done.

Audrey Bergeron-Morin

Americano was okay, not amazing (not strong enough). Açai was the worst I've ever had - don't order that, it's seriously not worth it. But the place looks good, the space is comfy, the staff is friendly and the terrace is a rare treat.

Alexander Ceus

Dont go to the starbucks go here

Ben Liebhaber

Great coffee, pastries and other goodies. Wish they had more breakfast food though.

Amanda Rock

Great atmosphere, yummy unique latte selections, and variety of foods

Manglen Craig

1st this is go to local style espressos like housemade lavender lattes, salted caramel cafe, or bullet coffee. 2nd the bakery fresh goods like lemon lavender bun or lilikoi custard. So take the tourists and us locals here. Worth it!

Best Cold brew - Van mac nut

Amazing coffee Cool staff Great food Worth the drive

Had a lemon poppy seed morning bun and the Espresso Child (espresso and vanilla ice cream) and could not have been more pleased. The coffee was delicious and the scoop of amazing vanilla ice cream was quite large. Great value and super nice staff! You will love this place if you go!!!

Ryan B

This is definitely your best bet for coffee when you're on the North Shore great atmosphere and a great hang out area.

Andrea Myles

Great coffee and WiFi. Perfect spot to collect your thoughts before heading out for the day

Elena Giron

Delicious delicious delicious!! Everything we’ve tried is best tasted anywhere!

Paul S

Kanai waited on me and she was so amazing and friendly. I will definitely be back when she is working as she made a routine purchase ao much fun!!!

Justin Phillips

The Coffee Gallery is a really cute, cozy shop with great coffee. The pastries we're nice and the cafe has a large patio that was cool enough to enjoy. The wifi was good and the staff was terrific. Great spot to catch a cup of coffee in Haleiwa between shopping.

Dave Newell

I came in near closing and they were very willing to make me coffee, even the decaf that is not usually up and brewing. The were pleasant to speak to and I feel I got great value for the price.

Young Oh Wee

good coffee. friendly staffs. there are ample sitting space available to hide away from the hot sun or chickens running around.

Ene Faletogo

Freshest coffee ever... nokaoi

Ryan Bickmore

I needed some milk for my toddler - the gentleman who helped me was very helpful and nice. Thank you for saving our evening!!!

Daniel Cariveau

It's a great place to get a drink and relax. The outdoor seating keeps bugs out while you enjoy your meal.

Jenna Hammond

My first review: Lovely little coffee place. Both me and my husband had lattes and they were perfect. They were traditional lattes, definitely not Starbucks. Five stars. Since then I have visited a few times. You may still get one of the best lattes of your life, but unfortunately the consistency just isn't there. A few times the lattes have been fantastic and other times they have been subpar. Service is also less then fantastic. They aren't rude, but they're not the most friendly and very likely to forget your quiche in the microwave. Would still recommend.

Toni Thompson

Enjoyed a sign we saw in the Coffee Gallery in Haleiwa, Oahu, but the coffee was atrocious! I would NEVER feed that coffee to anyone, even to an unattended kid... But the sign was funny - it said, "Any child left unattended will be given a shot of espresso and a free dog".

Chelsea R.

Coffee gallery has become my favorite local coffee shop due to their creative house special drinks and always changing and always delicious baked good treats. Their eating areas are also the coziest I've come across in the area/ on the island yet. They also have a generous rewards program. All around this is a must-visit coffee shop for both visitors AND locals!

Triska Lee

Get the granola! Also, great coffee.

David Lunasco

We have been trying different coffee places in the area and we have settled on this one. They have a wide variety and offer multiple different combos of coffee. While my wife loves her Vanilla Latte, I keep trying different ones and while I have enjoyed all of them, I haven't found a favorite as of yet. This is a definite must visit in the morning for some quality coffee.

Dino

Good coffee, over-valued service. Still my favorite North Shore cafe. Good coffee, college-aged baristas. Paying by cash or card is fine. However, recently noticed that, if you pay by credit card, they default the minimum tip to 18%, up to 28%. A constant tipper and never one to withhold a tip where tipping is due, but to set an automatic 18-28% default on a $4-buck cup of drip seemed a rip-off as a reward for depressing a Bunn carafe handle to fill a cup, that the customer then self-busses.

Brett Schenk

Double shot long and a heated morning muffin is a great way to start the day!

Brynne Styles

If you want a "cool tourist" cup of coffee, go here. Just as bad as a chain coffee shop. If you want to recharge your stuff, there is one questionable spot, usually surrounded by others. If you're buying a mug, you better drink in house to get it for free, otherwise get ready to drop 15-20 bucks on a mug you can custom make online for less. To get around in this shop, you have to maneuver around every single person waiting 5 minutes for their coffee. Be careful not to bump into anyone that's trying to stir theirs at the little table to the side. Also, about 5 years ago they used to have a "leave a book, take a book" stand that they no longer have. The new owners must be strict. That was the nicest thing about that place. If you want a "cooler" cup of coffee that actually tastes better, go to Glazer's on the other side of the island. They make cute pictures on top for the same price as here, and have plenty of outlets and good tunes.

Jeff Beebout

Great coffee!

Mike Dixon

The 'not starbucks' place for good coffee and unique pastries. Most important a place to sit outdoors under one of the largest historic trees on Oahu. No music. WiFi. Laid back atmosphere. Hawaii at it best. Mike

Duane Duimstra

Best place to get coffee on the island!

Ms Muda

Fun little coffee shop with lots of options. And souvenirs!

Chuck Morris

Great little shop packed full of tasty coffees and other treats. I found two unique coffee mugs of high quality that are now my favorites. Not only a nice way to enjoy my cuppa Joe, but a pleasant memory of Hawaii send North Shore.

MarSea Ann

Most delightful coffee shop ... And the baked goods offered are made onsite and are INCREDIBLY delicious!! A handful are even VEGAN & or glutten free. A HAVE TO on your spots to check out on da North Shore~Haleiwa.

Ratings Are Important

Yum! Fresh, homemade, lovely pastries (didn't actually try the coffee :) )

Katarina Kocses

Lovely place, great coffee and iced matcha. They have a nice backyard and an airconditioned room to sit with your laptop.

Stopped for an ice coffee mocha and found out that they also had some glutten free pastries. It made my wife very happy!!!

Sare Jones

Didn't try the coffee but loved all the goodies. There acai bowl was delicious and the glorious morning muffin is amazing. Definitely stopping by again.

Bo van den Brink

Very good coffee!

Kyle Smith

There internet doesn't seem to work here which is disappointing since they advertise it on their building. Been here twice had the same problem. Other customers where having the same problem. Spoke to the barista and apparently there was nothing they could do. The coffee is good so if you want to just grab and go I would recommend this place. Just don't try to study or work here.

Beth L

The coffee float and baked goods are delicioso!

K Meadows

I've been coming here for years. A great place to come and relax...

andrea sigala

Very friendly and tasty.

Jay Marie

Most amazing coconut mocha I've ever had. Been coming here for years!!!

Michael Baker

Great mocha freeze & "espresso child". Good flavors, & really hit the spot.

mle lee

My 5 Star went to 4 to now 1 STAR. Been a fan for well over 10 years since Ward warehouse days & followed them to the North Shore. Hate to write bad reviews on places I used to love... They no longer sell flavored coffees in the store & is now a special order. They started using unfriendly materials to package their products & the prices went up. No longer will I make this long journey to the north shore just for their coffee. There is other coffee out there that is just as good that you can get a better price for (+ gas & milage). & customer service was not that friendly. :-( double whammy.

Brian Stafford

Great coffee, got a bag of the North shore blend. Tremendous.

Anna Lisa Gentile

Their coffee is spotless! A perfect espresso.

Yolani Cruz-Plemons

Great coffee at great price! The Surf Bum Burrito was a great start, too. Met some friendly locals outside while sipping on some delicious iced coffee. I forget the name of the drink, but it was coconut/chocolate coffee. Perfection!!

Kaleb Barrett

Great coffee and baked goods.

B. L J

The lavender latte is wonderful!

Edwina Duenas

Great place to chill with a cool drink, whether coffee, a smoothie, tea or shake! It’s a bit boho/hipster while still having its charms. I love the outside patio where you can see chickens running around. There’s also WiFi and I saw a couple of people studying. I got the mudslide shake with banana, pb, chocolate and honey and it was delicious! Filling and refreshing without being overly sweet or heavy. They have baked goods and açai bowls as well. I’d love to come back the next time I’m in the North Shore!

Max Scolari

Simply the best coffee shop I've ever been to. If you are in the area and getting your coffee fix from a chain store, you are missing out on something magical. The baristas here don't burn the milk as they craft your beverage, and it really seems like they treat it as a craft rather than a job. Give Coffee Gallery a try, I highly doubt you'll regret it.

Ed Lewis

Conveniently located with restaurants and gift shops. Standard coffee shop, but this place smells incredible. It's hard to walk by without stopping.

Randy Peterson

Really good cold brew Choco-Mac-Nut.

Blake WBillmaier

Super comfortable and plenty of space. Also good amount of parking so it's a good place to meetup for the north shore.

Lisa Berg

Gourmet coffee shop multiple different kinds of coffee from all different parts of Hawaii and let's face it the service was nice

Maria Roozen-Roach

This is my go to place on Oahu for coffee and REALLY DELICIOUS pastries, quiche...(NOT the usual industrial, unhealthy, sugar filled stuff you find everywhere else.) These pastries are made with honey, fruit and other heavenly ingredients that make me refuse to say no to the calories b/c every single morsel is worth it! I am forced to guard my selections before any of my children realize I saved half for later! They are like mice hunting my stash down.

Todd Irish

Great selection of products. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Just what I needed.

Seth Ladd

Unfortunately not a good coffee experience. Messed up two orders. Didn't know what kind of coffee she was serving. Yes they serve coffee but if you're looking for a place that knows coffee, this isn't it.

Jusgo 360

Great coffee shop with free wifi. The staff is great and you must try the cookies.

Kyle Kern

Nice stop

GO GETTAS 808

Calm peaceful place.

Taylor Smith

I really enjoyed their French cold brew!

Sam Lau

Overall decent local coffee shop. Haven't had the experience to sit in like other people. Grabbed a hot brew to go and it was alright for me.

Esteban Valles

Amazing coffee, best by far in the area. OK cakes and muffins

Isoldas Poncet

Very good coffee, staff is nice and the decor too ! Would come again !

Cameron Hayworth

Stopped in here at least once a day during my leave to the North Shore of Oahu. I was always greeted with a smile and the coffee was certainly worth the wait in line. Made sure to purchase a few bags of coffee to take home with me, hope I can make the pilgrimage back someday!

Adam Mackay

Really good quality espresso coffee here. The coffee flavour is excellent and milk quality very good too. The cafe itself is a really cool fitout with heaps of coffee and accessories for sale too. Vibe was friendly and relaxed. There is lots of seating available and I noticed several people working on their laptops, so it's obviously a nice space to get some work done with no interruptions.

Rafael C

Fresh bakery treats, delicious coffee /espresso drinks. Highly recommend you visit

Biagio Nigrelli

dont waste your time saying thanks to the lady making your drink, she wont respond. 5 out of 5 times nothing but a grumpy north shore face. counter ladys always nice.

Sean Trundle

Excellent coffee, delicious snacks. What more could you ask for?

Joe LaVita

Friendly staff and good coffee and tea

Dorothy Yu

Acai bowl was regular, nothing special. There is a lot of variety here if you don't know what you want, or if everyone wants something different. This store is also a cute shop, has trinkets, decorations, and some small items. A ton of chickens roam around outside too!

Silvia Cortázar

The best coffee ever

Karen Karadimov

Friendly service great coffee Liz is fantastic

Todd Irish

Great selection of products. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Just what I needed.

Tiffany Chan

Love it here! Awesome Espresso!!

Shaun Holthouse

If you’re an Australian wondering where to get actual coffee in Hawaii, this is it. Great vibe too

Nikhil Turaga

Tried their coffee and life by mocha brownie.. it was great.. must visit if your are in North shore

Megan Julien

I totally fell in love with this place. So cute and so good. The kind of place that makes me remind why I love Hawaii that much.

Yoon Lee

coffee was amazing to me, it couldn't be compare to starbucks, coffee beans thing. huge size and coffee taste was really plenty.....i wish i could have it now. tried to have acai soy milk, but coffee smell was taking me choose it. Friendly staff. there was seats inside and a bench for waiting. really huge tree near coffee shop and seats available, you can have short relax under tree and feel wind blowing at there.

Dave Oman

Not as good as we remember when we use to visit Oahu and the North Shore years ago. We love their garden and porch seating areas, but the staff, although polite, don't make you feel as welcome as in other establishments in the area. We believe they may be a little stressed out by the ever increasing lease rates there. We spent $150 there over the 8 days we stayed in the area. On the last day directly after ordering coffees and muffins, my wife accidently knocked her coffee drink over in the porch area. They did not offer to replace the drink so my bought another one. It was my wife's fault, but I was a bit surprised they didn't replace it. Days earlier the Barista recommended a particular scone. I bought it, took a bite and hated it. I asked for the blueberry one I normally buy instead and paid another $3.50 for it. Again, just weird because the product cost on a scone is a few cents and if it were my establishment I would have not charged for it. Neither of these incidents really matter much but stuck in my mind as kind of weird and a little off-putting. The coffe drinks are good but not exceptional. Their blueberry cream cheese muffins ARE exceptional, and so are their frosted blueberry corn meal muffins.

Caroline Carr

Super cozy environment, delicious unique baked goods with gluten free and vegan options. The rose cardamom latte is habit forming, so watch out!

Lily Nazareno

Feels like a tourist attraction (because of the number of tourists in here--can't be helped!) but overall, good service and variety of roasts and brews. I like learning where my coffee comes from and enjoy knowing what flavors to expect. The outdoorish space is also a great hangout spot, if you don't mind the occasional chicken.

Michael McMahon

A nice place for a coffee on the north shore. Great opening hours and wifi provided along with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Limited options for charging devices, but a definite boon for a global nomad or digital debonair.

bonnie redmond

Aroma therapy

Leonard Nimoy Sings

Turmeric golden milk was great

Matthew Andersons

I can still remember the first time I went to this coffee shop, that was three months ago after my entrance exam. That time, the room was very crowded that I couldn't almost find a seat for me. Thanked God that there was a good Samaritan who handed me his seat after he finished his order. I gotta admit, I actually promised to myself that I will never go back to that place again or else I'll be spending my leisure time finding a vacant seat. However, when I tasted what I ordered, I instantly had a war between my mind and heart. I fell in love with their coffee and became a huge fan immediately!

Ethan Simonton

This coffee shop was utterly disappointing. I will not be returning. Independent coffee shops like this remind me why I go to Starbucks. This place is evil. Go to Island Village Coffee instead. Read below to find out why... The Bad: - NO ELECTRICAL OUTLETS : They have removed or covered all electrical outlets. This is the number one reason why I will not be returning. - NO BATHROOM: You have to go across the street for the bathroom. I rather not leave my stuff unintended to walk across the street. - NO OUTSIDE FOOD: Signs up saying not to bring outside food. - NO or Poor AC in seating area: The seating area was pretty hot The Good (I would've left 1 star without these things): - The staff here are super friendly and cheerful. Some of the friendliest baristas I have ever experienced. - I had a white chocolate mocha. The price was very reasonable for the island and it was a dang good drink. - Plenty of seating and some comfortable couches - Free Wifi Overall: Go to Island Vintage Coffee instead.

Douglas Rowitch

Great food & drinks. Love the ginger tonic. But, EVERY time I come here, their free internet doesn't work. They should either fix this or stop advertising free internet.

Alejandra Sanchez-Rios

It has a beautiful patio
