REVIEWS OF West Egg Cafe IN Georgia

I’ve been here several times, and the food and service is very hit & miss. Diners usually don’t get the attention they deserve, and the wait staff spends a lot of time kvetching amongst themselves. If you prefer the ambience of whispy male servers dressed in short-shorts over a good dining experience, this is your place.

Brittany H.

I enjoy the breakfast here, but I've had better (for cheaper). It feels like a novelty and the service feels rushed, probably because the wait is so long and they want to turn tables over. The hash bowls are good, as are the omelets, but I wouldn't go out of my way to have breakfast here.

Rosystraveladventures G

Great diner with a huge menu selection. I ordered a crepe with broccoli and mushrooms. It came with cheese but they were kind enough to omit it for me. The ambiance was typical diner ambiance. The food was excellent and the portions were big. I wasn't a fan of the coffee but I am definitely coming back.

Nikita Rao

Never disappointed. Wonderful service, wonderful food. They do give large portions, so beware. The coffee drinks are amazing! You can order while you wait. Go before 10 AM so you don't have to wait for more than 15-20 minutes.

This was my first stop in Chicago for brunch. This place definitely has a laid back diner vibe with a restaurant style seating. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted and seated immediately. They have water pitchers at your table already, which is awesome if you’re an avid water drinker like myself. Their menu is extensive so I’ll find it very hard to believe if you can’t find something to satisfy your appetite. Keep in mind, they’re only open until 3pm so it’s mainly a breakfast/brunch menu. I ordered the veggie Benedict which came with a side of potatoes and it didn’t disappoint at all! Parking is the standard Chicago availability. Either walk, Uber/Lyft or just pay the usual high parking fees nearby. Food was generous in size and staff was super attentive. If you want quick service with great food, definitely come check this place out.

michael wen

quick service, delicious food.

Keir n

Great service. Very good food. Good location. Definitely recommend!

Naomi Takara

Good food and good environment. Highly reccommend.

Amanda Jackson

The place was beautiful but extremely busy. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, delicious but wayyy to much gravy.

hutch

Good spot for a quick breakfast in the area. Fast service which was perfect as I needed to get to a meeting right after. Wait staff was pleasant, numerous and tasty food options. Espresso tasted burned, didn't end up drinking it, but overall positive experience. Would visit again if looking for breakfast in the area.

Shay Alex

I had the unicorn hot chocolate, a spinach and mushroom omelet and bacon. The food was amazing. There was a wait but it was worth it. I will definitely be returning!

Mark Miller

Excellent breakfast nook for the whole family. Food is so delicious. Ask for Mr. Fermin for your server! He's great!

Olanma Mang

The staff is amazing and friendly. The freshly squeezed orange juice is a must, as well as the strawnana pancakes. The service is quick and the vibe is very welcoming. Definitely worth it!

Imani Adams

I really enjoy this brunch place. It is worth the wait! The pancakes are delicious and the service is great

Joanie Franken

Kinda loud, hard surfaced floor & ceiling. Service was poor, barely looked at at us, food was cool when put on our table. Not very inviting.

Chanté Knit

Everything here was DELICIOUS went for my birthday in November and I honestly cannot wait to go back to Atlanta just so I can eat here!!!!

Katharine Miele

The food is always amazing. It’s definitely worth the hour wait. But it stinks to go when it’s cold or raining outside because it sure gets packed in their lobby/foyer area. You have to stay at the restaurant because they won’t call you or text you when your table is ready. You have to hear them say your name. People can be a little pushy when they feel like their space is being take over - like the front few standing rows at a concert. However, upon entering the eating area the vibe changes and it’s super chill.

Michelle Heusner-Wilkinson

The food is consistent and the menu creative. The noise level is very high, though and expect to wait at least 30 min to get seated.

Dawn Bitzer

Fast... And yummy... Calvin's crepes we're awesome.

leslie kimbell

I always enjoy this place for Sunday brunch. The mimosas are delicious. The service is always great. The Salmon Cake Benedict is to die for.

Jeremy Marshall

Pretty good, not exceptional. Nice varied selection for breakfast. Coffee could be better but they give you a pit of it

Karem Flores

Breakfast was delicious! Love love the strawberry waffles, must have! Enjoy!

Natalia Polukhtin

We stopped by because the place was conveniently located across the street from the hotel and also because I thought it was impossible to ruin a simple egg-based breakfast. Big mistake! The place was packed, we were directed to wait in some hallway, and by the time we were invited to the table it was too late to escape, because we waited for too long. Instead of being directed to the eating area, which has some natural light and pretty attractive design, we were taken to some back “overflow” room - just plain room next to the kitchen, no windows, no air circulation, no wall decor - just a room packed with tables. The waitress forgot the coffee and got the sides wrong, but this would be a minor issue. The food apparently was pre-cooked. Benedict was cold and as hard as a hard-boiled egg. My daughter’s order of crepes was absolutely cold, stale, and rubbery. They did not even bother to re-heat it, apparently just got some from the refrigerated store-bought packaging and sprinkled with some not-so-fresh berries. Terrible place that capitalizes on convenient location and plays that bait-and-switch tricks by seating people in some filthy hallway at the back of the building to maximize the profits.

Terrance Heard

This place is just incredible the food to staff fantastic best place to eat breakfast

Peter Schmidt

This is the second day I had breakfast in a row here. Why? It's that good. The menu has a very large choice of food for breakfast, trust me they have something for everybody. It has a good amount of seating, either at the counter or at a table. You get a pitcher of water with a lemon in it and a pitcher of hot coffee, and it's waiting for you at the table. My food was served in no more then 3 minutes and hot. Everyone there was kind and did a wonderful job of taking care of the customers. And considering its Chicago the prices are very reasonable. I'm going to have breakfast here every time I go to Chicago.

Krista Blowe

Im a shrimp and grits lover and these dont dissapoint.

Stephanie Smith

Staff was great. The atmosphere was just not for us. It would have been better if we would have had a table just us it would have been better. We were seated extremely close to our neighbors with one long booth that crosses one whole side of the restaurant. We basically heard the table next to us their entire conversation for most of the time we were there. The food was just okay. My fried eggs still had runny whites and a piece of my bacon was extremely undercooked. The skillet potatoes were also bland.

Jody

Great customer service. Dope menu, delicious food. Can’t wait to go baaaack

Brad Torres

I am a lover of a great breakfast...unfortunatley, i did not find it here. Staff was very friendly, and service was very good just not fantastic food. May have been my menu selection, but it missed the mark.

Jonathan Cassady

The food is always awesome here. Depending on when you go, you may wait a while, but it’s always worth the wait. I recommend the Peachtree Plate and whatever specialty French toast they’re doing at the time.

Brian Silvestri

I'm really in love with this place. Not only the food makes you fall for this place, but also the amazingly helpful and polite staff does that. Excellent staff!

Ann kaiser

Menu sounds great. Fails on service and food (eggs and breakfast served barley warm.

Christian Walsh

Easy good food for brunch Good price

A M

Nice place for breakfast. Tasty, affordable and good service.

Andrei Steklenev

Was totally worth it waiting to get a table for Sunday’s Brunch- no wonder why the place is so popular Simple food made the best way! Very detail oriented staff, organized processes - asked person for an additional item and order is passed directly to our server, instead of asking them to come to our table and take the order Great Job West Egg Team!!

Ciruy McD

Wasn't greeted at the door while lookn around to be seated, food was ok southern fried potatoes needed help

Andra Pittman

It was Delicious! I had the chicken biscuit with tomato gravy. It was really good. I love the tiny water glasses with the old fashioned bottle, so cute! I gave a 4 for 3 reasons, 1. Staff was really nice but service was super slow, especially for a business/ college district where speed is a must, 2. Fried Green tomatoes were a little soggy, still tasted good. Just need to be crispier. 3. The chairs kept grabbing onto our clothes. I would def go back though

V Sizzle

If you’re looking for a normal SAFE pick in Atlanta, you really can’t go wrong with West Egg Cafe. It’s always clean. The vibe is very casual and cool. Not to mention their food is very good. I had the Blue Plate with eggs, bacon and potatoes. Biscuit on the side and I even split an order or pancakes

phillecia davis

I’m such a picky eater and this place never disappoints. When you walk up they have casual seating outside because that’s just how good it is. This is a popular restaurant so if your going with a group make sure your entire party is there when you go up to ask for seating. If not you won’t get seated. This is one of the best breakfast restaurants in Atlanta. They have a bar and outside seating. I also order a omelette and the ingredients are fresh and the portion size is amazing. It’s not to expensive.

Emily Darow

Great breakfast options!!! They were super busy when we got there....to our surprise we didn't even wait 10 mins!!! They do a very good job getting people in and out.... so don't let the small crowd of people waiting discourage you....I enjoyed the Bandito omelette and my husband had the eggs Benedict....they were great!!! We were also traveling with a vegetarian so we were looking for options for a vegetarian and in her opinion they had some great choices!!! Definitely a pleasant experience!!!

Lorna Hood

Great spot! Food was so tasty!

Brian Zaleski

For downtown the price is good and the food is really good

Amy Rittenhouse

Excellent breakfast/brunch choice downtown. Prices and service were good. Nice cafe atmosphere.

Nga Ly-Henschen

Quick service and good food.

Devin Stone

Amazing restaurant! This is how you do it! Fair price and very generous portions of some of the best breakfast food I’ve ever had. Will certainly be a recurring customer!

Joel Sinke

This is a great diner style establishment, with very friendly accommodating staff. They dealt with dietary restrictions very well, and were very helpful when it came to staying is -- we had an infant asleep in a stroller, and they moved a table into a quiet corner for us. Great, classic diner breakfast menu.

Lyric Melton

Such a great experience. The food was great. The staff was very attentive. Will be back.

Shareen Gawla

Delicious. Always a wait here; we were told 45 minutes, but it was much faster. Get the grits.

Rashida Parrish-Atkinson

A West Atlanta institution! I've never had a bad meal or service here. Always stop by the bakery on your way out for delicious pastries.

Rob Maguire

P.s. In answer to the owner, yes we got the correct address. Can't believe this place has such a high rating. 4.5 stars? NO WAY. This place is grubby. Looking at the standard of the decor/cleaning and the general shabby state of the restaurant I wouldn't trust the staff to clean the tableware properly nor the chef to make sure the kitchen and cold storage is clean and safe. The food was mainly frozen prior to cooking (i.e. nothing fresh) and was all fried/greasy and overcooked. Our plastic table cover was dirty with a thin film of greasy residue even though the waiting staff wiped it before we sat down and when the food arrived it looked as though it had been thrown onto the plate without any thought or regard for presentation. Is this distusting stodgy mess really typical of southern food? I hope not. This restaurant isn't cheap enough to justify the very poor standards. The only redeeming factor was the staff were friendly even though most of them looked like they had just fallen out of bed. No chance we'll be going back and overall a poor experience. We could only conclude the general public of Atlanta have very low standards to score this restaurant so highly.

Michael Wilkes

When I worked in the area, I'd stop by twice a week for breakfast. The biscuits and gravy was the go to, but they made some pretty good omelettes as well.

shamar parks

Terrible, the food and wait is too long and high to be bland . On that note my co worker was waiting for my food that I return and the manager pointed at her and said she can not eat at that table. she only had three tomatoes in a box. I was puzzled I told my co worker stop eating your three tomatoes she said why I said the manager said you cant you have to wait. I felt that was uncalled for I will never return again.

Cesar Perez

Love it!! Awesome atmosphere! Great price And food lots of it!! Definitely recommend!! Ask for Raquel

Brett Baumann

Great breakfast in a classic establishment!

K Mitch

I ordered the Georgia Benedict and it was delicious! Turkey sausage and gravy over eggs and biscuit was great. I also ordered the spicy Mexican hot chocolate, it was rich and tasty. Would definitely recommend and visit again. Also the garic grits were amazing creamy and garlicky, no cheese needed!

melysa miles

Great breakfast spot! Our hotel wanted an arm and a leg for breakfast, this was very reasonably priced, fast, and delicious!

Amber Hart

Great place for delicious American food. came in on a weds. the staff was friendly and observant. the bill won't shock you.

Thomas Kay

Nice, efficient, moderately priced breakfast place. Service was very fast and the food was just right.

anukrit saxena

Perfect place to start your day with good omelets and fresh juices. Would definitely visit again!

Frank Cannavo

Great breakfast. Super friendly staff.

Alexander Harkness

I had the West Egg burger and it was amazing. Their iced coffee was good too. Would go back. A little pricy but you get a lot of food.

Colin Ayton

Great place for breakfast, staff very friendly and served a good slice of toast and black tea.

Melba Ayala

Really good service definitely would recommend this place.

John Critz

One of the best breakfast spots in town. Huge coffee drinks (though sometimes over-sweetened), and a fun variety of inventive dishes, including plays on classic southern breakfast items. Eat there.

Marijana Ignjatovic

Decent place for breakfast, but nothing special. Had some trouble requesting information on gluten-free options as there is no special menu and waitress was not knowledgeable on the subject. Skillets are tasty. Many breakfast and brunch places in the immediate area.

Blake wood

Neat place, strong mimosas and great customer service.

Hey B

West Egg Cafe is always delicious. Be prepared to wait 30min-1hr (average) for a table. It's always worth the wait. The cinnamon rolls, shrimp and grits, and banana nut bread french toast are fantastic! Drinks are also made top notch! I only wish they would consider using the NoWait app.

Adam Ragone

Very good food. Super dope interior and friendly staff. Will have to visit again next time we're in Atlanta! Picture is Banana Bread French toast with Caramel Banana Sauce

Daniel Larin

Wonderful experience. They accommodated our large 12+ family and took great care of us. The food was great, the service was very attentive.

Cheyenne Maisey

Great food, great service! Only reason wasn't 5 stars is because we got coffee at the counter before being seating and the guy there was very sassy (in a bad way) and the opposite of helpful. Thankfully our waitress made up for that and we had a great brunch

Joon Kim

We ordered fried egg sandwich and fried chicken hash. Bread thick and soft and toasted. It's got some sort of honey mustard mayonnaise sauce that goes along well with egg and bacon. Fried chicken hash is a great choice. Corn is sweet and chicken taste good. Potato is the bomb.

Veronica Johnson

I love this place! I've been multiple times over the past 5-6 years. Great brunch choices with locally sourced goods. Great service and pancakes

Brad Richardson

Great place to eat! Really wanted to try the shrimp and grits and they were out of shrimp... Would highly recommend this place!

Azza Kazzargh

Great atmosphere and food The milky way late was great

hughesja1975

Go to place for breakfast in Chicago, great food, great staff and a nice buzz to it. Extensive menu.

Sandra Alonso

We came all the way from Miami to Atlanta for vacation and ate here on July 4th, 2019 for breakfast. For starters the waitress was taking our order from the furthest end of the table where no one was sitting versus the opposite end where our party was sitting, almost like she didn’t want to be near us. We had to practically shout our order to her. Food was delicious, but the waitress decided she deserved a 106% tip and applied it to my husbands credit card without his knowledge. We over tipped her more than 15% in cash and she added an additional tip on the credit card with the same amount of the check. This is unacceptable! Everyone beware and make sure you check your credit card statements!!!!

Curtis Drayton

The wait was long but the Eggs Benedict was great.

Bipul Pandey

We were looking for a new place for brunch and came across this place. The cafe was not too busy and we were seated promptly. We ordered three different dishes and a pancake for the table. “The big easy” -It was good. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and the sausage was well cooked. I loved their potatoes. “The veggie benedict”- It was also well made and tasty. The semi-cooked veggies and the eggs made for a great combination. “The California Crepe” - It was not very good. Firstly the vegetables inside weren’t even sautéed to begin with. And somehow a piece of bacon had gotten into it and the friend who was eating it was a vegetarian. So it was ruined for us. The server was gracious enough to take it off our bill. The strawberry pancake - It wasn’t very good. There was something wrong with the consistency and it was falling apart the moment we grabbed some with our forks. The building is old and so the ceiling has some water damage. Water was dripping right by our table and some splashed on our table as well which made for a very weird experience.

Kyle Rechsteiner

The service and location is perfect. Go early on the weekend since there’s a long line. The parking deck is easy to find spots. I’ve tried the free range pancakes and banana bread french toast. All the food has a high standard quality for an affordable price. I recommend west egg cafe for brunch or dates.

Anthony Parker

As the name suggests this place serves eggs. Eggs any way you want them, and they come with an assortment of additions like sausages, bacon, tomatoes, English muffins or toast, all sorts. Great coffee and a jug of iced water. Quick friendly service, open from 7 am to 3 pm.

Ivan Johnson

Best Chicken Sausage Gravy Ever! Great menu selections.

The JadeAffect

Sooo good. I'd recommend if its busy to look at a menu beforehand that way when you are finally seated you can place your order right away. Worth the wait!!

Vincent Simmons

I'm a huge fan of "Brunch"...and very pleased to say that this experience was executed flawlessly. I strongly recommend West Egg Cafe for your next brunch date. p.s. the candied bacon is simply amazing. Huge thanks to my kids for a awesome Father's Day Brunch!

Joe Ivanis

Amazing place for breakfast and brunch. Our server Annie was absolutely on the ball and fast and so caring she's a great addition to this restaurant. The food was amazing and came out super fast. I got a 6 egg omelette and pancakes and the portions were pretty big. The coffee is fresh, they give you a pitcher of water and coffee, great so you don't have to wait for refills! We visited from Toronto and this place left a great impression for our visit to Chicago.

Brad Ferguson

Food was amazing! Convenient to parking.

MrDetroit69

My daughter was in town, she treated dad. I'm so lucky. The food is very tasty. It is a very enjoyable place. I plan to take my wife.

Ashley Hand

I can't do this review based on the food for this restaurant because I didn't manage to secure a table. What I can speak on is the level or lack thereof of professionalism among the staff. Prior to going to this restaurant I made a call to inquire about what the wait time was and I was told 45 minutes. Upon arrival to the restaurant I was told that the wait was going to be an hour and a half so I put my name down and left. one of my party came back and asked the young lady doing the time why we were told 45 minutes on the phone and then told an hour and a half upon arrival at which time someone else (a young lady with purple hair) physically moved the girl from in front of the counter and told my friend she was in training and "didn't know nothing" The manager was called where we asked again why we were told two different things and it appeared that the manager was not very concerned with the misinformation or the behavior of her staff. I'm sure the food is good but I don't feel it's necessary to go to a place where the staff and even management can't manage basic courtesy and respect.

Blanca Garcia

Wasn't worth it and was late for work because of poor communication with my order.

Madison Outlaw

The food was good and on a busy Sunday morning, the service was pretty good too. Nothing to die for as far as I experienced. The coffee cups and glasses on our table could have been much cleaner, though. My coffee cup had a large crack in it and three of the glasses on the table had to be replaced due to being dirty.

Angela Salas

Excellent service and very good food, in an attractive environment.

Benjamin Richards

Food and service we're great! Coffee was actually flavorful and vegetarian options we're available. It was a little chilly but they had heated outdoor seating. #vegetarianfriendly

Vickie Peterson

This place was amazing, great breakfast, food looked like it was ready for a photo shoot. We loved it Very cozy restaurant, get there early, its fills up fast and a long waiting line.

boshia richardson

I had came here for the first time on Monday morning and it was pretty good. I had the west side pile up which had everything that I wanted for breakfast, it was missing the right amount of meat but it was still really good! I'll definitely be nack to try more!

Davis Nell

Loved the food.was there for breakfas.. was great

Angelo Spagnola

Nice people great food

Anthony Williams

Good food and service. Loved it.

Chris Bown

Love..nice place..excellent food

Aryka Collier

Amazing food. Always a bit of a wait time but definitely worth it. Great proportions of food and excellent service.

Gene ProDNA

Great food, awesome service! Favorite breakfast spot.

Naomi Williams

Yummy that's all I can say. First time visit and everything was well organized and the food was great. Would definitely recommend

Ali Yancey

they have a great bacon, egg, and cheese. Almond milk latte needs work. they should use a barista blend almond milk if they don't already. regular almond milk is not good with coffee

Dave Sivertson

Good food, good portions, good service and reasonable prices. What's not to like?

Joshua Davie

West Egg Cage is located in a nice area of town with many shops to visit. I went on a weekend and the place was packed! The wait was about an hour and 15 minutes. The food was good but Im not sure If I would want to wait that long for it. The staff is nice and friendly.

Pamela McCuistion

Great service and food. Orders taken quickly for a large group and arrived quickly and correctly. Staff was pleasant and the portions were huge.

Zebre Jones

Get the shrimp and grits and you will not be disappointed. Might as well get a bottle of mimosa while you're there too. Yummy.

Darrell Flunker

The food is good nothing to wait a long time for, I got there early. However I give it 5 stars because my waitress Elan was so nice and kind and the staff are all very cool folks. That is a difference maker in a restaurant and I can see why people come back. However, the highlight were the coke cupcakes, I love them and I will be back over and over for that.

Kenneth Snyder

You get lots of food, but it has no flavor at all. Pretty sure its all synthesized. Country gravy tasted like a dirty dish towel. Yuk. 2 stars because it was cheap and fast.

Irene López

Great food! They have the best grits and gravy. The only bad thing about West Egg Cafe is that the best dishes I’ve eaten here were from the special menu which changes weekly so I could not order them again.

Scott Gaunt

Good service, food just ok

Kim Rahfaldt

Excellent food and friendly waitstaff! I highly recommend!

Sarah M

Not as good as in Texas but it was good and hit the spot for walking around.

Angel Soto

Food is tasty but be prepare to wait. If you are already hungry? This is not the place for you... No matter the restaurant was not crowded, after seated the waiter took more than 40 minutes to serve the coffees and to take our order. After that more than an hour and a half to serve the food. We almost stand up and walk away. Finally the food was delicious but took forever to arrive.

Kinjal S

Came here for brunch, of course it was busy! Waitress was nice but a little forgetful. I got the snow slide, a coffee cocktail they had as a special. It was strong but good! I also got the tofu scramble and really enjoyed it. The veggie sausage I was skeptical about but it was tasty. Overall could've used a little more seasoning. I got grits with cheese and they were good! Skillet potatoes were big chunks but flavored well. I tried some of my friends pancake and it was so nice and fluffy. I wish I got some too. Another friend got the pimento cheese and bacon omelette and loved it! Prices are more reasonable compared to other brunch places. I can't wait to come back again. There's a free parking deck right by as well. Bathrooms need a little more attention.

Tim Johnson

"Eggcellent" breakfast. Great selection. Our waiter was a boss at getting things done. Food was fast and tastey. Great presentation and portions for the money.

Bill Weisssmueller

Great food, friendly service!

Alanna P

WOW this is a must if you are traveling to Chicago, EXCELLENT.

Walt Mangen

Very good food and reasonable price

Phil Steffensmeier

Delicious breakfast, just what I needed on my way out of town. The waitress was highly accommodating to us. Tip well for the excellent service! The Benedict was exactly how you'd expect it. Delicious hollandaise. A jewel of the Windy City

Derek Matchette

Cold brew coffee was top notch and at a good price point. Place definitely has a laid back chill coffee shop type of atmosphere. Interesting menu with a lot of twists on breakfast staples. Vegetarian options too. I had the tofu scramble with grits. (Picture)

Terence Dupree

Milkyway Latte was awesome. Food was really also. Although I felt as if the bowl for my Shrimp & Grits was very shallow. Outside of the +1hr wait time, it was a good experience. I would definitely return but not if there's a ”45min" wait.

Steven Ford

The corned beef hash was good, but not the best. I would recommend returning here as the service is good. The staff is nice and the place is clean. I've been here before and had a good experience.

Anne Schmidt

Excellent veggie skillet!

Rich Ripley

Expensive, long wait for a table, and very loud atmosphere. If you’re a hipster and are more concerned with being at a place “to be seen” then West Egg is the place for you.

Iona Leighton

The staff is friendly and the food is tasty. Long wait, but it's worth it. I love getting their matcha green tea latte with almond milk, black bean cakes and potatoes, or their tofu scramble. Great vegetarian and vegan options!

Danica Mckoy

My sister and I went for brunch and the food was delicious!

C Sherman

Hubby and I were seated promptly. Annie was our server, she was fantastic. A very genuine and warm spirit which was such a pleasant add to our visit. Food arrived quickly, was fresh and hot. We enjoyed our meal and server.

sarahi trevino

If i can give this place 100 stars i would, came here from houston for a conference and we found this hidden gem. Awesome food, great customer service and price is affordable. Definitely would recommend this place and i would come back. Thank you West Egg.

Юлия Казначейская

Prices for entrees are 8-15$ and portions are huge.

Maritza Barta

Great menu selection. Breakfast all day. Delicious food!

Simon Robson

Absolutely an excellent experiance. Atmosphere, service and food quality were all excellent. We only waited 15-20 minutes for a table at 9:30am, but when we left we could hardy find the exit for all the people waiting. So the earlier the better if you don’t want to wait too long. Young vibrant clientele. Parking is available in a near by parking garage at no charge. They serve breakfast and lunches.

topher Dick

Service was amazing, absolutely fantastic. Coffee was OK, but not inspiring. The grits were exceptional, but my over-easy egg was a little underdone. It felt a little overpriced for breakfast, but I'll almost certainly go back.

Beaker Tincher

Over priced, less than stellar but okay service (too many people for the appropriate coverage of wait staff) Awful mix for the body mary. Good but not great food. Definitely overhyped, but okay. Good coffee. Definitely loud. Bring your kids. They won't disturb anyone in this suburbanite style, downtown 'brunch hot spot'

Sarah Odeh

The food here is amazing! Delicious omelettes, great coffee, fast and friendly service, and good prices. I went twice while I was staying nearby and both times the waitress was super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely return the next time I am staying in Streeterville.

Torrey Williams

Great food and atmosphere!

Eric Knapke

Enjoyed a great brunch here and would recommend to others as well. The black bean cakes with potatoes were great and the pancakes were just as good. Service was quick and friendly, even on a busy morning.

Julie Laidlaw

Always delicious. We always come here for breakfast when we are in town. They are so nice and helpful. Lots of a unique twist on favorites.

Jane Wilcoxson

Awful food. They obviously precook a lot of their food and heat it up. I'm pretty sure that only the eggs and toast are cooked to order. I ordered crepes and asked for the filling to be served separate from the crepe. The crepes were cold and so dry I could hardly swallow the mouthful. They had obviously been cooked hours or days before. When I complained the very kind waiter said he would have the kitchen cook up a fresh batch. No surprise to me that they did not have any batter to cook up a fresh crepE. However, 20 minutes later they were still serving crepes to other customers if you smother anything in cream or cheese who's to know how fresh the food is.

Anika Ampadu

I’ve been to West Egg plenty of times and my experience is always worthy of 5 stars. I’ve had the Westegg Pile Up. A delicious blend of potatoes, eggs, veggies, and bacon. I'm a big fan of this restaurant. A simple breakfast with their sour cream pancakes, eggs, bacon. Their fried egg sandwich. I’ve tried their mimosas. There’s several choices such as original with orange juice, grapefruit mimosa or even strawberry mimosa. The teas and lattes here are great as well! I love to try something new every time I come here and I haven’t been disappointed yet! Service is always pleasant as well! :) Be forewarned the wait time on the weekends can be pretty long, and they are required to seat you at your table once the whole party has arrived. They have a huge parking deck which they share with other west side provision establishments. So parking should be fairly easy as well. I’m telling you this restaurant is definitely a must try!

Ben Larson

Stopped in for some breakfast to start the day and we were quite happy with our visit. Everyone was friendly as soon as we walked in the door. Food was good, portions were just right and so was the price. It was very clean but the best part was the service. Raquel gave us some of the best service the wife and I have ever had.

Lennie Amores

My server, Rami, was the best! Great food and really good prices. I will go back the next time I am in Chicago.

Spencer Watson

Good spot for breakfast. Food was good and service was prompt.

Rikesh Subedi

Delicious breakfast & brunch food. Friendly staff and a rich atmosphere. Had some of the best French toast I've tasted in Atlanta. Definitely recommend to kick off a weekend morning.

Tracy Peters

Excellent spot for american food. service is always awesome even when they have a full house. i've had nothing but pleasant experiences here and plan to keep coming back. this place has a nice feel to it.

Mat33

The food was very good and the place looks nice but our waiter was a little rude (unmotivated) and our table was very close to the one next to us so it almost seemed like we were together

James D'Angelo

Great little spot for breakfast. Huge menu, and everything is delicious. Highly recommended for a quick breakfast or lunch.

Mudhead Borneo

Great breakfast food. The bacon was especially good.

Nita Hollywood

Really cute restaurant with beautiful decor and delicious food.

Arnold La Gambina

Found this place while in Chicago, on business. Well It was great! Large portions, too large to finish. Very affordable. Delicious! Great staff! I, absolutely, recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a good breakfast in downtown Chicago.

tommy d

Great breakfast menu, went once & then brought back the wife with me. Delicious food, served quickly. My wife had a marbled rye with roasted turkey, bleu cheese, bacon. It needed tomatoes, but I found myself stealing bites of it. The home fried potatoes were legit. Chips were freshly made (with salsa). Very popular joint.

Claudia Valrie

Awesome brunch experience. Loved the Peachtree Plate, salmon patties and fried chicken hash for the table! Great silky grits and delightful brown sugar bacon. Get there early or a little after 2 to get around the crowd on Sundays. Also Julianne was a great server! For stars only because the drink tasted like spritzer water..

Jesse Phillips

LOVE this place! It has a great ambiance, delicious food, excellent coffee, great servers. It is definitely OVER popular for a weekend brunch. Probably don't attempt it on a Saturday or Sunday, unless you come early. Another thing I love is that it has some options where you can REALLY eat CHEAP. An egg and cheese biscuit with a side of potatoes is plenty of food and is like $6, or something. Worth a visit! COME EARLY! I love the 3 egg omellette with cheese, potatoes and a biscuit (great biscuits!)

nichole schultz

Was actually surprised to walk in the door, be seated and served within 10 mins. Very friendly surroundings. Great food and amazing service! Will definitely be saving this one on the map for future trips to Chicago!

Ryan Safford

Solid option for breakfast. Fast service for quality food

Joai Broughton

Waited over an hour to be seated after being told it would be 45min. Then was told the wait would be an additional 30 min. Communication was very poor.

Gareth Lloyd-Jones

Fast, good value, good food

Christina Hubbard

Great coffee and my breakfast was one of the healthiest I've had outside of my own Kitchen in a very long time. I will definitely be bringing my friends and family back!

Lisa Miller

Best biscuits I've had in a long time.

Jeremy H

Great breakfast spot. Worth the walk from anywhere in the area. Portions are large and filling, coffee is awesome. Service was friendly and the food came out quicker than expected. My table of four ordered different things and all were pleased. Would come back again and again.

Suzanne Smelser

Great food, drinks, and service..Rachel was great

Mohammed Alasmar

Nice food, the service is fast but the staff is not very friendly, I highly recommended if you need a fast and delicious breakfast

Zia Bhatti

I haven't even started eating my breakfast yet, but I wanted to come in and leave a review for such an excellent service by Victor! Thank from me and my family!

Whitney Rawls

Enjoyed a good lunch at West Egg while visiting friends in Atlanta. The meal was great. I'd give 5 stars except for the extra small glass they provide for water. Luckily they do pit the water carafe on the table and keep it filled.

Stevens Berry

Normally this place is Great, but on this visit the service was poor and the food and coffee were cold

gabriel benitez

There was literally only a 5 min wait for my party of 5 in the middle of brunch hour !!

Emily Farhat

Yummy little diner in Chicago. Loved “The Big Easy”. Flavorful and while I would have preferred it spicier, that was an easy fix with Tabasco. Fairly priced, especially for Chicago. Would return if in the area again.

James McCornell, Jr.

One of My Chicago Favorites...Great Food!

yowseph Dapier

It was overhyped but decent. Although kind of expensive the food and drinks were good. I waited like 50 minutes to sit at the bar.

Neeti Menon

This morning, having read some great reviews, we stepped into West Egg Cafe for brunch. Located conveniently within walking distance from Water Tower Place, this place did not live up to our expectations or it’s previous reviews. Soon after our food arrived, I had to move to the farthest end of my seat to dodge water dripping from ceiling, owing to poor maintenance. Our server paid no heed to my discomfort and casually commented that ‘it happens’. While we tried to ignore the drizzle and enjoy our meal, we found a piece of meat in our vegetarian California Crepe order. Although we got that plate taken out of our check, it ruined my vegetarian fiancé’s morning. The Veggie Benedict and Big Easy were good, but several other cafes in Chicago serve much better pancakes and coffee. We left with a bad first impression!

Deanna Roberts

Very good food. Great service. Very noisy. Hard to converse when it's busy.

Kristen Wiloch

We got in before the Sunday rush. Our waiter was phenomenal and cater to our needs with small children. The food was so good! Prices were just right too. I ordered a veggie skillet and it did not disappoint.

Mehtab Iqbal

Well worth the wait to get seated. The food and the drinks were amazing. The bloody Mary was the absolute best. Our bartender Alon was the nicest and the best!!!

Internet User

Great omelet and coffee. Service was great and so was the atmosphere

Angus Cooke

Great for a counter meal, quick and easy. Very good service from staff

Daniel Rangel

Great place for breakfast and very fast service.

Lynne Davis

What a wonderful place to go for breakfast. Lots of activity. Very friendly staff and great food.

James Hall

Fast, friendly and delicious as well as not very expensive.

Cory Dearing

This place is just okay. The food was okay nothing special. Service was quick and fast but overall it's typical Diner food.

Christopher Miller

Midwestern diner meets dowtown Chicago. Prepare for value platters and kind service.

Robert Spaans

Good service, good quality food. Interesting breakfast menu. Jekyll Island shrimp and grits we're fantastic.

Hilary Andersen Carter

I had an uninspiring omelet. And the coffee was burnt. Don't go for the food. But great service. Speedy in and out on a blustery Saturday morning.

James Barrett

Great food. Easy parking. Bit pricey but they don't hide that.

Jason Stratford

Decent food and fast service. Staff are really loud and annoying shouting at each other across the restaurant though. Made the atmosphere loud and uncomfortable.

Gabrielle Gamarra

Amazing!! The food was incredible, the service great, and the atmosphere very pleasant. Superior quality to most restaurants, run very well. Everything about it was great. I got the chicken chilaquiles - would very highly recommend!!! The banana bread french toast was a little dry (and not really french toast, more so banana bread cut in the shape of french toast), but still good. Overall a great place for breakfast! :)

Cameron Hucker

Fast ++ super friendly service and great food. Excellent all around.

Alex Fischer

Food was amazing. Would definitely recommend!!

banana mazter

Fast, friendly service. Not cheap, but priced on par with the neighborhood. Food is nothing to write home about, but theres nothing wrong with it either.

andres lopez

Great food for a good price. Also the staff is nice and always checks in.

John Alles

Excellent breakfast. Service is quick, food is cooked correctly, like the feel of the place. Price is good

Ana Távora

Very good! Plenty of options, quick service and almost all dishes around $10 to $12. Perfect for brunch :)

Hannah Lucas

The food was delicious but I have to leave this lower star review because of a few smaller details. I couldn't decide what to order so I asked the waitress what was in the corn beef hash. The waitress just replied by saying "we don't make it we buy it". I definitely didn't ask about where it came from I asked what was in it... And she didn't even tell me what was in it

Jisquianne Timo

Service was okay, not the best. I ordered salmon cake Benedict and the poached eggs were like hard boiled eggs and the hollandaise sauce was very watery. Bathroom smelled like port authority bus terminal. But the waffles was on point

Joey Apple

Amazing as always. They have a super comfy waiting area. The Milky Way latte definitely set the mood. I’ve eaten here a few times and ordered different items each time and been super happy each time.

wittyn pretty

I typically dont let my boyfriend pick the restaurant but he did his homework and made a good choice. We had no wait to be seated on Memorial weekend!!!!! Our waitress and server were both pleasant and attentive. I can tell the entire staff share in the responsibility in making sure there patrons have a good experience. What I mean by that is the server bought our food out but also refilled our water cups and asked if we needed anything. The food is Amazing I had the West Side pile up and it is a ton of food. My boyfriend had the Blue plate and throughly enjoyed. Nice little gem. We definitely will be back and sending our family & Friends

Ashley Wallace

Parking was a bit of a nightmare because it doesn't say that you can park on other levels of the parking deck, but you can! The service was attentive and they were so nice. The food was incredible. The potatoes were underseasoned but whatever they cook them in have it the rest of the flavor that was needed. The bacon was smoky, the fried chicken was juicy and crispy, and the waffle was buttery. The biscuit was go fluffy. The specialty drinks were good too. I can't wait to go back. Yum.

Nathan D Eastman

Sub-par breakfast and overpriced. Their focus was on turning tables quickly not offering a quality eating experience. For $15 a plate for breakfast it has to be better than that. $3 for a cup of terribly bitter coffee too. Not recommended.

derick flowers

First time eating here! I loved it

LM Jogbäck

Food was great! Service was mixed and inconsistent. One day extremely good service, the next a different staff working and I almost felt sorry I came an disturbed...

Kathy Potvin

This was the perfect home style breakfast place while on my visit to Chicago. I went twice, and will certainly go again on my next visit!

Parrish Doss

I was in for the first and last time on Sunday, April 28, 2019. I walked in and put in a to go order that shouldn't have taken but about 10 minutes max. I was patient because they were busy. I finally got my food after asking three different people, 35 minutes later. My food was not cooked right and when I called back to speak with the manager she acted very nonchalant about it. No care attitude. For the amount of time it took for me to get my order inconvenienced me and three other people's schedule. Not good service!

Irving Silver

We came here in the early afternoon and we both had and enjoyed omelets and garlic grits

Optimus Prime's head

We stayed at the Double Tree across the street and did NOT want to pay to eat in the hotel's restaurant. We saw prices for West Egg and thought to give it a try. Place was packed on a Saturday morning, but the owner made sure we got seated quickly! Waiter was very attentive. Food was very fresh and delicious, price was good! They even make their potatoes from scratch! We will definitely be back when we come to Chicago next.

Alison Price

The blueberry pancakes are delicious!! They melt in your mouth but still have a crispy outside. The eggs and potatoes are really good as well. Our waitress was awesome! I forgot her name but she said she had been there for 26 years and was very helpful and nice. I definitely recommend this place.

Kevin Deas

food was amazing. I love the chicken Hash plate. so fresh and always fulfilling. Also, menu has so many other great items I want to try as well. sounds like I'm returning in near future. Haha.

Adrián Hidalgo

Great breakfast place! It gets busy though!

Jermaine Lockett

Great food and service walking distance from the hotel Ivy

Kimberly Hardwood

Service was great. Food was fabulous

Cora Bagoli

Wonderful breakfast. Staff is extremely accommodating and quick with service. I was in a rush and several people made sure I could get in and out. They were so busy and were on top of their service with me and typically people aren't so attentive when someone is in a hurry and they've got a full house. This has been the best service I have received when a restaurant is completely full. And wonderful food!!

BeE Gomez

Awesome. First visit today! Great service, Joshua. This was the first time I have ever eaten all my pancakes!!! Great Atmosphere and welcoming smiles. Did I mention the coffee...❤️See you soon!

Žarko Aleksić

Awesome breakfast at reasonable price. Efficient service!

Dave Girgis

Very fast service

Corey Robinson

My wife and I ate breakfast here and loved it. Food is cooked close to perfect and the prices are surprisingly reasonable/cheap. Very busy place. Cool and modern environment.

Linda Chickering

We had a vegetarian omelet, a plain waffle served with fruit, split, for the two kids, and a whole wheat and Walnut pancake. My pancake was on the tasteless side. I also ordered a hot chocolate that was forgotten, but it was removed from the bill without complaint. The pancake was served with a ramekin of apple pie type filling, which was sweet and not very flavorful. The maple syrup appeared to be artificial.

Cathy Morgan

My fav spot for quality american food. Loved this place from the first taste.

Lorna Balfour

I like this place but they are hit and miss. I came and they had one of the best shrimp and grits I've ever had. Came again and it was watery and subpar.

Daniel Park

Pretty bad all together... service-felt like a fast food place as I never had more than 5 seconds to speak with the server. Also took our orders across a banister along with having my food delivered that way. My order was without surprise wrong as well as missing the English muffin (ordered country fried steak with sunny side eggs), taco salad was for my guest and hers was in a bed of water...it looked absolutely disgusting and ruined our appetite. Perhaps you should drain your lettuce before serving it as a taco salad. Did I mention the awful non existent service?

Walter Oles

Great food reasonable price. Good service. Diverse menu.

Paula Williamson

Thank you!!! I had flashbacks of my grandmother's cooking. You all brought a warm feeling to my heart. Thank you again.

Shinnita Tagoe

The Sour Cream pancakes are heavenly! Wait time wasn't bad and the staff was great.

Beverlyn Dyvonne

I had shrimp & grits & a side of field greens a fancy name for a salad. Everything was great, the food and the service. The atmosphere is very nice. They also have a patio you eat on if there isn't a private event there.

go out and live

West Egg was decent ambiance is def an A+. Also like how they have outdoot seating and a express section if you wanna grab something quick. I got the plattter with eggs bacon biscuits and potatoes. Everything was good until about 45 minutes later. Watch out for those eggs! Lol.

Brian Kincaid

The staff was fast and friendly. The Big Easy (New Orleans breakfast skillet) was delicious. I appreciated getting right in and seated. The prices were reasonable for a very expensive part of Chicago. I thought the coffee was good as well. I will definitely be returning when I am downtown.

Hailong Li

Food was decent but because of the awful service we will not likely return. Took waiter 30 mins to bring out a cup of orange juice. There is no excuse for such poor service and pitiful sizing for nearly $3 OJ

Wendy Rollier

Food and service were great

Gary Jenkins

It was so good that I crushed it before the picture. The service was excellent and and the food was top notch.

Anna Polischouk

Awesome breakfast place! Friendly service, yummy food. Highly recommend!

Jennifer Riedel

We got the pancakes, Georiga Benedict, fried egg sandwich and the skillet. Everything was amazing! The pancakes has this hint of cinnamon flavor in it which makes it taste really good. They have a nice coffee selection as well. We got the milky way, hot chocolate, and vanilla iced latte

Fred Linthicum

Excellent service, great food, and the space has a great urban vibe to it.

Kionna Posley

Food was delish, great customer service, food was seasoned well and nice portion size for the price!

Derwin Bolden

Awesome atmosphere and food

Sarah Chandler

OUTSTANDING service and food

Jon DeVries

Great place. I got the veggie Benedict and it was some of the best breakfast food I've ever had. There was a long line, but they got through people quickly and the food was definitely worth it.

Amanda Catherine Turmel

The service was good! Went on a Saturday and got their special cinnamon rolls! Only recommendation is to get there early on the weekends! It gets busy fast!

Marcus Kasperski

Super fast and efficient service. The food was ready within 10 minutes and everything seemed freshly prepared. I particularly liked that the food wasn't overcooked: the omelette wasn't dry and the broccoli still had a nice crunch to it. Potatoes were only lightly seasoned which allows for adding salt/pepper to suit one's taste. Be aware that the coffee is $3 per person. To be fair though, it does come with free refills. All in all a great breakfast/brunch place with many fresh and tasty options.

Stephanie Morris

And as if it couldn't get any worse, the poached egg wasn't cooked properly. The egg white wasn't cooked all the way, so it was raw and clear. No one wants a runny egg white that looks like snot--yuck! Texture wise, everything except for the shrimp was very off-putting. The overall seasoning and flavor wasn't good either. Definitely the worst shrimp & grits.

PC_Playground

Food and drinks were great. The patty melt was more than enough for one person. The wait was good for 0930 on a Saturday. The 1 star loss was because the bathroom was horrible and the toilet was broken. The service good but she really tapered off on her attention once the food came out. At that point we had to constantly request her service rather than receive it as we should. 1 star demotion for that. We will certainly try it again in hopes it is a single less than stellar experience.

Kai toyhart@hotmail.com

first time visiting the West egg. My son and I went there for breakfast. I love this place! Especially love the service and the conversation with our waitress.the food was good and there was a good portion. I will be back when I visit Chicago again.

Paul McNamara

Great brekkie, well located from much of the central activities/sites. Slightly manic pace on a crowded Saturday morning, but staff are well drilled, slick servers as well as very pleasant. The selection and quality of food is ... in Aussie vernacular ... the Duck’s Guts.

Derrick Thomas

Nice place good food

Renee Davis

Busy Friday morning brunch. It was pretty packed but it was also still summer vacation so plenty of college students ss well. The portions were huge, prices were affordable and the service was fast and friendly. The food was good but not ultimately fantastic.Loved the grits!

Jessica Buzzelli

Big portions and yummy food, just pricy and always long waits on weekends. Very loud inside and hard to hear people at your own table, but worth it for one of the best brunches around.

Katarina Vukasinovic

Fast service and great breakfast food. Prices were reasonable and the food was tasty.

Malek Saad

Amazing place, tasty food, big portions, great service and prices. Im starting to feel we come to chicago just for West Egg

James Bearden

Friendly staff, good food and fast. Couldn't ask for more.

S Holden

Awesome food and service.

Dottie Smith

Customer service was wonderful even though they were really busy and the food was delicious

Jay G

I really enjoy eating here. I get the blue plate and every single time it's on point! I have no complaints what so ever. It is a popular spot so it does get crowded from time to time but in my opinion it's well worth the wait. The prices are fair and the staff is friendly, just an all around great places to have breakfast, lunch, coffee or whatever you want.

Manon Klaassen

Good enough breakfast with a great Jenny, but the food is a bit disappointing.

Jin Lim

I got the chicken hash and I really liked the dish. The dish itself was seasoned very well and full of flavor. The pancake was fluffy, and it melted right away in my mouth. Overall, food was great. However, I cannot say the same for the service. It took me three attempts to get a knife to start eating, and it was very dissatisfactory.

Adam Shapiro

Amazing breakfast place in every way. Love it.

マーチングリーウェスリー

Phenomenal tasting food. I had the smoked salmon avocado toast. It was a beautiful blend of flavors. Thinly sliced salmon that melts in your mouth. A light marinade that assaults your taste buds. All on top of perfectly ripe sliced avocado and toasted rye. My only complaint was the hint of sweat and body order that permeated throughout the restaurant. I became numb to it after a few minutes though. Overall a wonderful experience.

Arjun Rao

The food was awesome. I had the fried egg sandwich and the tomato jam on that was amazing. The place does get very busy and the service is very slow.

M S

Outstanding, you have to go! Glad we got in early, huge queue when we left. Great staff, superb food. We are returning...

Matthew Hajek

Great food and great service. it's a pretty small but busy restaurant.

Butta ThaBombshell

The food was okay, I wasn't thoroughly impressed. However, the atmosphere was nice and unique. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Ken Burnett

Above average food. Wide menu selection. Good service. Casual atmosphere.

michael perry

Good food....very busy but very fast service

Bo Castell

Another great restaurant. I like everything. The grits are great. Can't go wrong with anything you order. The food is seasoned right. So is the coffee. Service is just ok. It's like they know their food is good so no need to go the extra mile.

Emmett Henley

Absolutely wonderful experience. The food was fresh and easy to order. The service was incredibly good. Rami was our server and I swear he could read our minds. Very customer friendly experience, the best side of Chicago. Thank you

Richard Davis

A great place to stop for a quick bite.

Brandon Cote

Went here breakfast. Really good service and fast service! Food was excellent as well.

Curlyheadjayy

My waffle normally is crispy with a great taste, however something was off in the flavor. I prefer crispy and well seasoned roasted potatoes. I tried the Mediterranean eggplant sandwich, it was average tasting and I wish it was baked instead of fried to make it a more healthy option. Good vybe and decor.

jeanettesdaughter

Best breakfast in town. Great coffee.

Lily

I was told to try the West Egg, but because we also have one in ATL I never bothered too much. Anyways was a good breakfast

Nick Bond

Extremely long lines on weekends. Don't even try. Came on a weekday to see what it was all about. I'm not going to say the food is bad, because it's not. It has a southern twist and is too oily/greasy for my taste. They also do not plate their foods very well. It didn't look very appealing. The waiter was nice and the decor was okay. Food was just not special and not very flavourful or well plated.

T L Le

Solid egg choice for bfast. The Myron's and Phil scramble is good

S Martin

Good busy brunch spot near Northwestern Hospital.

Eric Scott

Great eggs Benedict, served was very friendly and wait was not too long for a Saturday morning!

Leah Brundidge

My overall experience at West Egg Cafe was excellent! A few friends and I visited while in town to celebrate NYE. The food was great. I ordered the Blue Plate from the breakfast menu with a single pancake. I have 0 complaints about the food (I think I actually cleaned my plate

Pamela Loomis

Wait time was only 30 minutes considering how popular this place is. Food was awesome. DJ our waiter was great. I ordered The Peach Plate but ask for my grits plain and it was no problem! Will definitely eat there again.

Cal C

This was my third visit to the West Egg Cafe and I must say the food was just as good as the first visit. The first time I went I was by myself and only waited 10 minutes for a counter space to open. I have the Georgia Benedict which was recommended by the server and absolutelt delicious. I ate all my food and was wondering how I could get someone else to come here again with me. The second time I went it was Sunday and extremely busy we waited an hour and thirty minutes outside on a bench. Although the wait was long the food and service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their food and we were satisfied. The food came quickly. The most recent visit was with my sister on a Friday morning and it wasn't a wait, we seated ourselves and the food was put on ten minutes. She had the shrimp and grits and loved it. I had the Georgia Benedict again and it was better than the first time I ordered it. West Egg Cafe keep up the good customer service, and food quality.

Nyangau O

Best food, best service and friendly too. Very very fast service did I mention that and flexible. Will do it again when in Chicago

Elizabeth Mays

Delicious! The wait was absolutely worth it.

jay howard

This place is awsome food was amazing and the staff was very generous. I'm definitely coming back again!

Noah Martin

It's a very friendly place with happy people. The food was great and perfect for a cool day with a comfy jacket to warm up to with your coffee.

Aaron Zimlich

Food was solid. Great biscuits. The best iced coffee I've ever had. The wait was long. Not their fault, but be aware before you go.

Elourie Taylor

One of the best breakfast spots in the Atl

sonny crocket

Lovely food great service nice prices

Joshua Stephens

Was excellent service food and atmosphere, kind staff and food was great. However, they lose a star for forgetting we where waiting to be seated.

Adam Tucker

Service was great, it took us longer to figure out what we wanted to order than it did to get it made. We'll be back!

Priscilla Fermin

Love this place! I had the Breakfast Salad (yogurt parfait) and a side of bacon today. My favorites are the Turkey Benedict and the Bandito Omelette.

Nouf

YUMMY! Amazing breakfast and great service and quantity. Price was super reasonable. The menu has big selections and options, and food came up super quick. Highly recommended for breakfast or brunch, I also would suggest reservations during weekends.

Karen N

Good atmosphere in a better part of town. The sour cream pancakes are what this place is known for. The “small stack” is very generous, although a little on the tasteless side if I’m to be completely honest. Still, the hospitality and the cafe itself is 4 stars because it’s one of the nicer cafes in Georgia. Come here for breakfast on the weekday when there are zero queues at 9-10am!

Amanda Swofford

Great mimosas, tres leches pancakes were to die for, their bacon was great, and the shrimp and grits were awesome. The service was also top notch.

Wabe Redink*

The price doesn't match the taste. Service was iffy, possible language barrier.

Mary Robinson

Amazing service and amazing quality food! Our waiter AJ was good and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Will be returning!

Rafael Coy

Fast service, good food and relatively cheap for a city spot

Michael Holmes

Good food .. Southern hospitality .. did I say good food already!

Ella Thompson

Used to love this place but they’ve changed some things. Sandwiches are made differently, but also why on earth would you take fries (the best fries on the Westside) OFF the menu completely?

Nilda Hansley

Small menu, but good food. Loved the garlic grits. Taylor was our waitress and she was very attentive.

Clay Cooper

Loved it. Always quick and delicious.

Eric Otto

Phenomenal, efficient service. Seated immediately, order taken soon after, food on the table in minutes. Reasonable prices and large portions.

Chris Carroll

Excellence! Had the Peachtree Plate and and it was perfectly cooked. Will come back next visit to the ATL.

Kongpope Naranong

Great place for brunch. Their sandwiches are one of my favorites. Their hot chocolate and coffee was also great. Would definitely stop by again.

Bob Chambers

Very delightful place. The staff is nice. Gets really busy sometimes though. Good prices for big portions of food.

Lizzie Jade

On a trip with my boyfriend, we were heading out to get breakfast on our last day there. We planned to eat somewhere else but got distracted by West Egg Cafe before we got there (-great to have a menu on the window). Our waitress was kind, and our food was delicious! We each ordered a meal and then two bluecrunch pancakes to share, and we had a hard time finishing. The pancakes were huge. I had a delicious vegetable crepe, and we were too stuffed to eat lunch that day. Thanks for a great last meal in Chicago!

Michael Woodman

Great breakfast spot with a twist, vegan/vegetarian options. Food is excellent! Very busy but the wait wasn't that bad and service was good.

Angela Chelette

Fantastic breakfast place with great biscuits & gravy. Wash it down with a spicy tequila Bloody Maria & you have three perfect start to the day!

Irielle Webber

The food here was great. The service even better. We ate here on our second day in Chicago and loved it. Our waiter told us great places to check out in the area.

Olympia_ mgmog

Let me start off by saying I had the highest of hopes for this place because I've visited in the past. Now I'll continue by saying if I could give this place 0 Stars I would or maybe negative one. So here were my issues with this establishment: -my table was being stared at and laughed at by staff..... STAFF .... i brushed it off and stayed there. - i ended up having 4-5 large undercooked homestyle potatoes where i couldn't bite through. -told the server about it, she offered for them to make it again. -i then said , no, i dont want more potatoes i want something off the bill , ask the manager what they can do. - manager came back and said due to it only being a few peices , and due to food cost, he was choosing to only take off .50cent .... a few MOUTHFULLS of my meal... right.... -DESPITE A NEW FRESH ORDER OF POTATOES BEING COOKED AND MADE AFTER I TOLD THEM I DIDNT WANT THEM. That wasnt a problem for food costs but taking another item off was. -then my dining companion was told by staff "hey anyone ever tell you that you look like rick James" ..... same man who was staring and laughing earlier..... -when i told my server, she said incredulously "oh hes new"

A God

Hands down greatest place I visited to eat! I love when restaurants have water ready for you without having to ask! fast and accurate service. when asking for a to go box it came with a plastic sack, napkins and utensils! Excellent service without having to ask is super cool and sadly unexpected but the west egg is an 'egg'ception!

Tabby Tran

I came here twice. Service was great! The first time I came I asked them for recommendations. The servers were very knowledgeable about the foods. I also love that they have a glass bottle for customers to refill their own water. I ordered the eggs Benedict and the eggs were poached perfectly. One problem is that they seem to be not consistent with their food. The first time I came, it was busy so my food came out hot! The second time I came my potatoes and egg Benedict were warm. Additionally, there is free parking in a deck.

Carson Snyder

Food was barely edible but it came fast I guess.

Mina YD

Visiting West Egg Cafe since 2007 and I always enjoy it. Nyammmm

Jenny Lee

Great place! Service is always consistent, food is delicious with a variety of choices. Love the atmosphere.

Marshall Davis

First time and not good!!! Friend omelet was wrong, sent it back and next omelet had hair in it!!! I'm not sure what all the hooray or hoopla is all about but I say no thanks! Is it just because of the "trendy" spot or their "different take" on food? I say what about the taste of the food and the cleanliness of the food??? I'm just seeing that there was a failed health inspection in 2018. No carafe of coffee stays on the table so that means you have to continuously wait to get a refill! There is a charge for coffee to go! (Which is ok but only if you're not at the mercy of a waiter/waitress keeping your coffee fresh since the carafe is not left on the table). Also, we both said the coffee was not a fresh hot (it was warm) and it wasn't good! I'll stick with Egg Harbor Cafe for now until I try some of these other so called top breakfast spots!!!

Princess J

We had a girls brunch here last Saturday 8/17. The food was sooo good! The service was good as well. Oh and the mimosas were DEFINITELY on point. Lol. Our first time here & we'll definitely be back. The The only con that I had was the wait we waited 1 hour for a table and we had to keep going to the front desk to check on the time because 2 groups who arrived after us got seated first. Other than that we had a great time. The food, service, and atmosphere was bomb! Good job guys

Gloria Hoffman

This is a great little breakfast place. We were in town for some business and were getting tired of the standard hotel fare, so we asked the front desk for an old school breakfast place and they recommended the West Egg Café. The staff was really friendly and we were seated right away. They had all of the standard breakfast feels with everything having some great flavors. The pancakes were awesome and the serving sizes was more than enough!! They had counter space, tables and booths and the place is kid friendly. If you are in the city and looking for a great breakfast, you should really consider the West Egg Café!!

Crepes were just right. Had blueberries, strawberries, and bananas in them. Great start to the day and not overpriced.

The best breakfast spot not only in Chicago but literally the Midwest! If you’re in town make sure to stop there!

It was so good we went back the next day to get what I couldn't get the day before. I forgive the not "french toast" Banana Bread french toast. It's really just sliced banana bread with caramalized banana reduction. I think doing the egg dip and fry would have worked (see pic). The Shrimp and Grits did not disappoint (sorry no pic, I ate them too fast) and the Chicken Chilaquiles were amazing!

Pancakes were delicious! Shrimp and grits! Not so much; no flavor and the sausage was not a good pairing. It just tasted off! And for 15.00 I want more than 8 shrimp!!! We ordered a bottle for mimosas and we got water glasses instead of champagne glasses. Took away the mimosa feel. It was very busy in there on a Sunday.

The Waffles were amazing and loved the country ham.

american food and the setting here is excellent. I can say this place does it for me. I had a brother come into town and he asked me to go back here. Bring your hunger - portions are generous.
