REVIEWS OF The Flying Biscuit Cafe IN Georgia

Mo Lima

Loved the food. I had the eggstravaganza, delicious! The service was marginal at best. Waiter may have been overtaxed. It was really busy with a 35 min. wait time. Grits are smooth and creamy, eggs were buttery and cheesy, yum.

Diane Luft

While in Atlanta, had lunch at the midtown location. Everything was delicious and the service was great. The biscuits were the best I ever tasted! If I’m ever back in Atlanta, I will definitely stop in for some great food.

Tyler Jenkins

Good food. The best are the grits and biscuits with apple butter. Everything else is good too, but those are a must! The service is usually a little slow. Sometimes the servers are a little awkward, but that's okay. Great location with parking around back.

Ruthanne Veillard

Food was great. Loved the biscuits. Food is very well priced and walking distance to other mid town attractions. The servers were also really nice.

Aurora Mainville

So fun and colorful! It was a bit of a wait to get in, which just shows how great of a place it is. Their French toast was amazing!

Shan Parker

Amazing food! Inexpensive.

Michele Bailey

Very good food and service. Prices very reasonable. Popular spot that needs to be renovated for more space. Loved it!

Scott Warren

I've generally had good experiences at other Flying Biscuit locations, but today's visit was unacceptable for me and my wife. Bernard, our server, managed to get everything wrong about our order and was rude for no reason at all. The manager had to tell him several times to be tending to his tables when he would get distracted by talking to other people for long periods of time. Any time we asked for something, he had a terrible attitude about needing to bring it. I don't know how he was ever hired, but he doesn't seem like he can handle basic aspects of the service industry. We won't be visiting this location again and will instead eat at 10th and Piedmont across the street.

Judie Melendez

Fantastic! Delicious! Great service! Loved it!

Jose Posada

Was wonderful as usual... hope Austin & Shells Loved it!!!

Gotta Win

Omlette was good. Service was good. Restaurant is small and can get very hot.

Kianna Pimentel

The food was delicious. They had a really colorful design and a fun layout. Hostess was really lovely and kind, but our waiter was rude and inattentive. Really disappointing considering all the good reviews!

GREAT FOOD, GREAT ATMOSPHERE, GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT PRICES. This place is a must go to when in Atlanta. My fiance and I were looking for a breakfast spot to eat at this morning. We saw the crowd and heard the live music and figured we'd stop and see. We put our name on the list, which was a descent timeframe for the number of people inside. We listened to the music while we waited and that time went fast. We were seated and waited on immediately. Our server, Chris was wonderful. He conversated with us and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. When our food arrived, well.... Let's just say great portions is a good description. The food was seasoned perfectly. I ordered the Chorizo Hash and pancakes. My fiance had the Shrimp and grits. They give you this butter for your pancakes that literally taste like butter pecan ice cream except it's butter. They have this apple butter spread for their biscuits that will blow your mind. Everyone there seemed like they were HAPPY to see you come. Very pleasant. We sat at the bar and experienced them answering the phone. They even did that with happiness, giving the callers their complete attention even though there was a constant growing crowd. My fiance and I have officially deamed this place as a go to spot Everytime we visit Atlanta. Sorry, no food pictures. It was too good to stop eating

Hunter H

Great atmosphere and excellent breakfast.

Ann Rennie

I had a terrible experience. Manager Andre did not have any people pleasing skill.

Christie Jo Mayo

Great service and atmosphere. The restaurant has giant windows that open right out on to the sidewalk. There's a tight hall of sorts where you feel almost like you're sitting on a porch, very cozy if you like that sort of thing but could easily feel cramped. Thankfully there's plenty of good seating in the restaurant proper that also has a good view of the area. Flying Biscuit is proudly LGBT+ friendly and sits on the corner of 10th and Piedmont with Atlanta's rainbow crosswalks. There's even progressive newspapers right outside the restaurant in case you want to catch up on some news while you drink and dine

Jeff Thompson

Had an awesome meal here at flying biscuit! Went here for dinner and the chorizo hash was awesome! Really tasty and fresh. Also the staff was super nice and welcoming. Had some great conversation at the bar area. Well located to get to the metro and parks.

Kimberly Gillens

Quaint cafe with plenty of seating for one or two persons (also has seating for larger parties). The staff was very attentive and prompt. My food came out quickly and was delicious. Portion sizes are great for the price. Would definitely recommend stopping by and grabbing the Biscuit Chicken Pot Pie!

Blondie Nicole

We didn't eat there this time but it was very good when we did eat there and I love their Mimosas!!

TAMIKO PERRYMAN

I loved the atmosphere and the food. I ordered the salmon scramble. I initially thought there wasn't enough when I compared it to the veggie scramble my table mate ordered but it turned out to be a good portion with the delightful biscuit and creamy grits included. I can't quite put my finger on the texture of the grits other than to say, as a midwesterner, it's definitely a southern thing that takes some getting used to. The staff was friendly and polite. Our food came quickly after ordering and everything was hot and fresh. Ooh, the grilled mac and cheese is yummy. Try it! You'll like it.

Brian Smith

Good southern comfort food in the heart of downtown. Very casual atmosphere with good service and good food at a reasonable price. Don't let the Guiness Draft on the menu fool you, its served in a can.

Lucas Lamb

Good food when the order is correct. They often make the food however they want hahaha. But its typical for all restaurants in the US. Everyone is nice and food is hot.

Anthony Mandra

I'm not a biscuit person, but they were pretty good. The home fries were amazing. Wouldn't have thought to go so herby on a breakfast dish, but it's now how I do them at home. Highly recommend!

Demetris Council

We love the food and customer service! Be prepared to wait in line :),,, worth it!

Fred Alvira

Excellent atmosphere. A reasonably priced eatery with southern food fare. A number of tasty plates for you to enjoy. Try their award winning shrimp and gritts to start.

cinereal

Egg-stradordinary breakfast was delicious! Love those creamy grits. Great atmosphere and quick service!

Melissa Call

Absolutely delicious! There's a reason this place was packed the whole morning. The portion of food was large and everything on the plate was delicious. I'd recommend the southern scramble if you like collard greens at all, but my friend had the salmon scramble and also loved it. The homemade biscuits are awesome, and so is the cranberry apple spread served with them. I'll definitely visit again!

Kristin Sedgwick

Friendly staff, super cute space and delicious breakfast all day. What's not to like? On a rainy Friday morning, it was almost a full house. Lots of happy diners enjoying their meal. It was a peaceful dining experience. My friends had eggs Benedict and scrambled, respectively. Both dishes looked delicious. I stuck with the flying biscuit with cranberry apple butter. The biscuit was less fluffy, more dense than I anticipated, but it was awesome. The cranberry apple butter was the perfect meld of sweet and tangy. I'd definitely come back.

Rebecca Madole

I was excited to try this local chain. I sat at the counter with an especially unwelcoming and unfriendly server, but figured it would be worth it for the food - bacon, fried green tomatoes, lettuce, cashew jalapeno relish and goat cheese on a biscuit. It sounds amazing, and the cashew jalapeno relish truly was amazing. But overall, it wasn't as flavorful as I was expecting and hoping. I overhead another patron saying their grits are slow-cooked for hours and are amazing. If I make it back, I'll have to give those a try. The cold brew coffee was yummy, and the crowd was an eclectic mix for people watching.

Kelley Eaton

I generally love this place but the service was off, the management team was off... it was not good at all. Kinda dissapointed especially since I brag about the facility only to bring someone new to be let down

Frank Strunk

Delicious biscuits. They have a sweet sugar something on the tops that was kinda weird with the biscuits and gravy I had. I did manage to slam the entire plate though...

Michael Rice

Excellent customer service and good food. The flavors that they serve are exquisitely amazing and delicious. Very happy with their service. Everybody at this place is so cheerful and lively. I absolutely love this happy vibe place.

Janelle Clarke

Food was delish, seeving size was large for the prizes. Me, my husband and son sat at the bar. Saturdays are busy!!! We were told an hr wait but got seated in about 30 mins.really tight seating, super busy but only because the food is great!!! Biscuit was crustier than i like my biscuits but the flavor was good, pancakes were perfect and eggs scrambled to perfection. Personable staff made the food taste even better lol. WILL RETURN!!!

Sanjay Senthilkumar

Loved the food there! Gotta thank the friend who introduced me to the place! Now I am a regular! The location is great, very accessible. The food is yum! Perfect brunch spot

Cynteria McCoy

The cinnamon bun pancake is amazing, it's not too sweet or anything, it was just right. The tofu scramble could taste a little better and the portion was a little small. The smell was great but I prefer they chop the tofu up a little better.

Roman Battaglia

There was so much food I got three meals out of it. The brunch was really tasty and it's a really cute place for a quick bite or a meal. Location is kinda small so I recommend small groups.

L. B.

It's an ATL favorite. I frequently come here because it's in my neighborhood. Staff is friendly. Food is good. Place gets very busy though. If you're looking for a twist on southern cuisine, try this place.

Anny Jimenez

Small but cute! The food was great and not costly. Definitely should come experience it.

Michelle Ganchar

Excellent food. Lovely location. Wonderful service.

josh spivey

We always find a Flying Biscuit on our trip to Atlanta. We've been to three locations and all three have impressed.

collin browning

Some food was great, some ok. Worth checking out this Atlanta staple

ExclusiveTV

WORSE customer service ever. I’m a big fan of Flying Biscuit, but I will never go to this location again. Do better

Anthony Mandich

This was my third time eating here. Every time it’s just awesome! The food is delicious. The staff is just absolutely the best. Love this place. I look forward to our next visit.

Beeuty nGrowth

Came here with a friend, this was my first time visiting ATL. The food was great, I'm here to write about the service. Our server Champ was hands down the best server I've had in years and just an all around phenomenal person!! So nice, friendly and attentive even in the midst of being incredibly busy. He made great recommendations and has such a lovely energy about himself - you can tell he loves people and likes his job. EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! Our trip to Atlanta would have not been the same had we not met Champ. If you're ever at this location, pray that you get seated in his section - order a mimosa and tell him Gemi says hi

Dominic Carlina

Small place for brunch and breakfast lovers in midtown Atlanta. I went there for lunch. The staff was friendly and conversational. I ordered the chorizo plate on their Featured Specials. It was tasty but I have tasted better chorizo blends elsewhere in the city. The place is small with limited outdoor seating. Would recommend for a 1-2 person meal but nothing larger than that.

Sean Sain

I really like this place for brunch. Although there will definitely be a long wait, it's worth it sometimes. My favorite thing to get here is the Southern Style Biscuit Benedict. The pimento cheese creates a wonderful combination with the typical Eggs Benedict items. I really also like the Buttermilk Pancakes, they are extremely fluffy and served with a butter that is sweet enough that you might not need syrup.

P Gandiga

We love this place! The good people watching, the staff is always great, and of course the flying biscuit doesn't fail to deliver on some solid comfort food. The grits are probably a heart attack waiting to happen, but oh so worth it, and I really like their southern style eggs Benedict. Be where of the lines though: there is always a crowd waiting for a weekend brunch that runs up and down the block and they won't let you call ahead to make a reservation. A good selection of vegan and vegetarian options, including fake meat

Sidnee Freeman

Food is always great. This location isn’t my favorite because of how the building is set up. My waitress was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed to have a nice dining experience. One of the greeters was VERY rude. Black woman with fake dreads. Had a funny attitude. Didn’t offer us a menu or anything but she did to following customers. Also didn’t say “Hello”. If she’s a server I’m sure this isn’t the first time she’s been rude to someone and I wouldn’t want to be waited on by her.

Kyra Nicole

2nd time visiting. Bomb! Those biscuits, those grits, the pot pie, chorizo hash, salmon scrambler, grilled mac n' cheese, greens...LOL. I sound greedy, but I tried something off every plate of my friends who came with me. We all loved it. It's a small place with HUGE taste. Customer service was love.

Ethan Reeves

It's always crowded, but for good reason. The food is marvelous, and the atmosphere is distinctly unique. Everything is fresh/made from scratch, and the flavor combinations are consistently marvelous. Do be warned that the wait is always long, as in one hour or more, especially for groups. I went alone and managed to get a seat in 20 minutes, but your experience may vary. I always recommend the Flying Biscuit Cafe.

Erin Owens

Delicious food. Long wait

L King

Great breakfast spot when you want simple to the point options. I am vegan now but this place made me find a love for grits. I would say the best on the east coast. (just my opinion). The wait is sometimes unorganized and the door attendant isn’t usually the nicest. Overall great spot to grab food for a quick breakfast.

Rostislav Tkachenko

Great atmosphere and a wonderful experience. Staff is extremely friendly and the food is well worth the wait. Shrimp and grits are a huge hit, definitely recommended. For all the mac n' cheese lovers out there, their grill ed mac n' cheese is an absolute must. Something completely different and amazing.

Ydamis Estrella

I enjoyed the atmosphere and service. They served fresh avocado with my burger and bacon with slight sweetness that was crispy without being too oily. I also liked their garlic mashed potatoes. They definitely serve foods on the healthier side of fast food, however their desserts are not sweet or tasty enough to make it worth the calories or price. Their chocolate bread pudding had great texture, but the taste was quite bland. Overall, I recommend it if you're in a hurry and want a degress of healthy quality to your food, but not if you've decided to indulge in some junk food.

Charlotte Anne Bond

Meh, the food is okay, but not great. Service is inconsistent. Our server today had a bad attitude and made our visit unpleasant. If I didn't already know service is usually better I would never go back. However, given service can be this bad and food isn't great and the biscuits are terrible, yes TERRIBLE, I won't be in a hurry to go back.

Diane Phillips

I dont see what the rave is with the biscuits.my friend and i went first time.they had the steak.it was very tough.i had shrimp and grits.i love the grits .frankly they deserve five star.the sauce was plain tomato and some onion very bland.but grits were creamy and good.

MakéInu Parvenu

Great food and pretty good service. They're always busy it seems so it takes just a little while to sit down and get the ball rolling on breakfast or brunch.

Ethell Nunez-Suazo

Love this place! I will never taste anyone’s grits and feel the same way I do about the ones here, so yum!

Octavia Smith

This is a happening place for sunday morning. The wait was totally worth it. Very inviting staff. The service was lightning fast. I ordered my plate and received it within 5-10 minutes. The biscuit was fluffy and somewhat sweet. The apple jam served on the side complemented it so well. The grits are also pretty good. They are vegetarian-friendly, but not vegan friendly. It has half and half and white cheddar(which I didn't see coming). But still really good!

Daniel O'Rourke

It's a small space that is usually crowded, and on weekends for brunch you'll need to wait on the list. The wait is more than worth it, because the food is great and I love going!

CJ C

Went to here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon and the wait was insane! We waited 90 minutes before we got seated. Then when we get in we waited another 30-40 minutes for our food. Not entirely sure if there is only 1 cook in the kitchen because our food came out 1 by one. Half our party had their food and the rest of us did not. The oatmeal pancake is weird but the biscuit was good. The food was not worth the wait because it did not blow me away.

Daiana Andrews

The most delicious in budget hole in the wall with lots of art and life honestly. The vibe in this place is like no other, well my server wasn't the greatest and I still loved the place, the food and the atmosphere. Parking.....well it's in ATL what can you expect

Oliver Surriga

I was soooo full after the breakfast and I wasn't even planning on having a big meal. It was all worth it. The grits was perfect, I could have that any time of the day. Having the warm peach compote on the organic oatmeal pancakes was classic Georgia. I recommend trying this place out.

Samantha Wilken

Food was delicious. I orderes the french toast plate which came with grits, eggs, bacon turkey sausage and biscuit with cranberry apple butter. I swapped the grits with the moondust potatoes. Firstly the food was amazing! We travel a lot and are big fans of breakfast and I think this was my favorite breakfast I've ever had. The French toast came with raspberry and honey creme anglaise. Ahhhmazzinngg!! Secondly the quantity and price was ridiculously good. You really get bang for your buck. It was so dang good we came back before flying out! Would definitely reccomend!

Amy Madison

Awesome location and tasty food! Try their chorizo hash for sure!

B. Smith

It was tasty, the jam/jelly for the biscuit was amazing. I got the smoked salmon and scrambled tofu... I thought the salmon would we laid on the side but it was chopped up in my tofu . It was still good but I'm use to my smoked salmon being one whole piece.

Jeffrey Grant

very good food and service. Yummy gravy.

Valerie Craig

Definitely try the grits... You'll be sold! My family enjoyed each meal (we tasted each other's)

Jennifer Bennett

Stopped here on the way to the airport, fun environment & yummy food!!

Ryley Tedford

Waited 25 minutes to eat here and it was definitely worth the wait. Food was very good, the biscuit pot pie was fantastic as was the French toast and southern style biscuit benedict. The service was great even though it was very busy. I would definitely recommend to any one who likes food.

Vivica Stokes

Located in Midtown, this place has its an eclectic Southern charm to it. I had breakfast there before leaving out of Atlanta. You may have a small wait but the food is worth it. There is a pet store nearby for those with a furbaby.

Lr Hamilton

Hosted was very rude when arrived. Once seated- server was excellent! Food would have been great but it was just barely warm. Not sure would go back.

thomas curtis

Amazing food and service!!

Marci Dean

The shrimp and grits were really good. I enjoyed every bit of it. I look forward to returning again soon. Preferably when the traffic isn't so bad because of Superbowl week. Customer service was really good. Individual taking my order was very friendly and patient. Food was ready upon pick up! Keep up the good work.

Amy Cleveland

A really enjoyable place. Everyone was really nice. I got the vegan tofu scramble and it was delicious and full of flavor. I only suggest if they are going to serve a vegan meal not to add a biscuit that is made with dairy to the meal. Overall a great experience.

Robert Talley

Fantastic place for breakfast in Atlanta. I had the biscuit pot pie. No regrets. The biscuits have crystallized sugar on top and the pie was very tasteful. I would highly recommend this restaurant and the service was great. It is very busy on Saturday and Sunday mornings but fine on other mornings.

Josiah Walker

Breakfast was amazing!!! So much flavor, tasted like it was all from scratch! Food does take a long time to come out, however, worth the wait! Will be returning soon! Great friendly staff too.

Jennifer Riedel

The menu options definitely make you feel like you are in the south - in a good way! I had the 'Not Your Mama's Pimiento Cheese Sandwich' which was delicious. It comes with fresh basil, diced tomatoes, feta cheese, and serrano peppers, topped with turkey bacon, lettuce, and tomato. I thought the prices were reasonable for the area - definitely a place I'll come back to.

Keisha Salmon

Yummy, but I was a bit concerned with cleanliness.

Claude Griffith

Shrimp and grits. Great service!

Lexi

Great breakfast spot. It is small and they are creative on their use of space. It was busy however we were still able to get a table. Their grits are fantastic. I had the Meggxican wrap and I was delicious! They have limited parking in the back. Alcohol is served during breakfast.

An Ha

Had to wait a while but definitely worth the wait! I can't say enough about the creamy grits and baked Mac n cheese. We will definitely be back!

Carlos Cousin

I loved the turkey meatloaf, just awesome.

Maria Stone

The ladies were so nice. The food (I got the shrimp and grits) was awesome

Harold Lutz

To be honest I went back and forth on doing a 3 star or 4 star review. However, I'm pretty sure that visiting this place after a 10 hour drive with 2 tired kids caused me to think about this place a little more negatively than if I had visited fully rested. So I went with the higher star rating. On to the review! For me, I thought this place was good. The Oatmeal Pancakes with peaches was very good. The grits are excellent. The biscuits were not as good as I expected. The kids had a rough time for parts of our visit, tired kids will do that, but they generally love breakfast food and there are a lot of choices on that end for the kids. Also, on a good note, the staff were very friendly and did a great job engaging with our tired family. My wife wasn't as big of a fan of the Biscuit Pot Pie. Maybe it was because we both were a little disappointed in the biscuits. The cost was a little higher than I would expect for the food we had but not astronomically so. Overall, I'd say food was good, staff was great, I'd recommend a visit. We'd love to give this place another visit when we're back in town...hopefully less tired next time :)

Punkin from Pluto

Selbie was AMAZING and gave us Excellent service, she was caring from start to finish. Edward our Waiter was wonderful and patient from beginning to end. The food delectable hot, seasoned well, and tasty. MANAGEMENT in a filled restaurant still showed us individual attn. Thank you Flying BISCUIT Team. P.S This was my God Mother's first visit, she is an Elder and knows what she wants. Thanks for your patience and attention...

Nett G

I don't remember the exact name of it, but loved the salmon eggs dish. I replaced the cream cheese in it with goat cheese

Jack McKinney

Spinach, tomato, and chicken sausage three-egg omelette was off the chain. Biscuit was very good as well. Great place in midtown. Thank you.

Daniel Foster

Very tasty breakfast and a slice of neighborhood life on a Saturday morning

Dominique V

I like Flying Biscuit...I've been a couple other times; each time was a good experience. I love their grits. Potatoes were..ehhh. Service was really good/friendly. Reasonable prices. Restaurant was clean. Parking could be iffy. Also, it gets pretty crowded and wait times can be pretty long. Plan accordingly and you'll be fine.

Jason Courtney

This place was amazing. Chris was our server and attentive to our needs providing excellent customer service. He is a huge asset to this establishment and the food was amazing. My family and I had a great time and we came in town from Spokane, WA. Keep up the good work.

Rich Dansereau

Great selection of unique southern breakfast classics! Friendly staff, fresh food, good prices; a winner all the way around!

Carol Beard

Compared to the other locations, this one seems a bit relaxed. The French toast wasn't the best, which is a bummer. Every other location has excellent and consistent service AND food. I'll be back tho, just not to this location.

Kristen Kareha

They certainly pack a lot of people in here. I felt like i kept every bumping into everybody. However the food was worth it

Mikki Nuckols

Oatmeal pancakes were amazing and oh so filling. Service was top notch!

Dennis Yancey

I love patronizing this restraint chain. The food is good at a good price.

Patrick Johnson

The food was fantastic, but don’t expect to be in and out. Took about 45min to be seated, the wait outside was benefited by the dude playing guitar. The staff was very friendly just a little slow due to the high volume. I had the Egg-stravaganza which was a lot of food. Biggest complaint is that it was hot inside, the a/c wasn’t working well

Sean K

The food and portions were really good. However I did have some egg shells in my gravy/eggs. Also we were only given water once and no refills. That's why I had to remove one star. But I'd love to come back and explore more on the menu.

Shannor Trotty

It wasn't that great. Service was bad even though it wasn't that packed. Took 10 minutes before we even saw our waiter. Never got a refill on our water and had to actually find the waiter to give our bill to when we were ready to leave. We both got omelettes that where pretty dry and over cooked. The biscuits were hard and dry. The best part was the grits.

R Mark E-W

Wonderful food, busy/loud atmosphere. Sunday mornings expect a wait but well worth it.

Erika M

Order breakfast and everything was pretty good. I ordered one of the ones that serves 6 people and it was plenty of food. The grits were amazing.

David Seon

Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else. The wait to get in for a 4top was 40 mins. Then, we sat for another 30 with nothing but coffee and 2 hungry children. We watched tables that were seated after us get served long before us. I will not be coming back, and would definitely not recommend this place.

Dominick Martelly

Great food and service. I had the Southern Egg Benedict Biscuit. I definitely recommend it

londun lanae

I really enjoyed coming here . This breakfast spot sits right in my neighborhood. Would have given it five starts but the pancakes came out cold . Nevertheless. I really enjoyed my food. Try the grits . Bacon was swell . Biscuits were rather underwhelming tho . I’ll be coming back .

Ambi D Henry

It was good with my server with the Caribbean accent. However, she had gotten real busy and another person came over to bring my food and his energy was so lazy, Unprofessional, Unapproachable, not a pleasant individual at all. I know we all have put days, but maybe do some soul searching to figure out what it is you want to do on this journey. Thatll bring greatness out of you every day. HINT* REMEMBER DREADS MEAN DREADFUL. DO YOU HAVE LOCS OR DREADS? LET THAT SINK IN. TAKE CARE.

P J

Food not all that great. My scrampled eggs were all brown and burned the potatoes were too salty. The best part was the mimosa and the waiter was friendly.

Nicole Smith

Service is very good here!waiting staff is extremely nice.you might have to wait a few minutes for a table because it's a small place but they get your food out to you very quick, it is exceptionally good and it's decorated really nice with a ton of artwork. Try the smoked salmon eggs and the grits are AMAZING!!!!! Bacon is cooked perfect also. I am a extremely picky eater and this place knows how to make delicious food with tons of flavor

Rob Robinson

Food was delicious. Sat at the counter, the server there was not at all welcoming or attentive. Bottomless coffee, good luck getting s refill. Oh well the food was really good

Sidni Jackson

One of the best places to have breakfast, I really enjoy the creamy grits and biscuits with the apple butter. This place has fun colors and lively atmosphere. The oddly shaped layout is a bit confusing, but it give the place character.

Sandra Wilson

Service was quick. Server was pleasant and attentive. Food was good. Ordered the classic Flying Biscuit. Grits we're on point !

bluesean24

Love the food and service.

Kathy Cheek

Great food, funky decor, great service, awesome people watching.

Kelsea Ogden

Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is unique and the staff are all friendly. Our waitress Ezzie was awesome and had great recommendations and provided great service. Everything was great and my husbands eggs Benedict was awesome! Grits were creamy and the french toast with raspberry sauce was delicious! Would definitely recommend paying this place a visit if you are rolling through atlanta !

Levi Villars

Make sure to sit in Sara's section. This place has great biscuits and really good chicken sausage. Chef Raúl makes great food and even has a few secret menu items that are really weird on paper, but great in reality.

Paula Ruiz

This place has got tasty food and a great location! Right next to Piedmont Park, it's a great spot to walk to for breakfast. They don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait. Their tofu scramble is very tasty, as are their biscuits.

Tameisha Chinn

I wouldn't have minded the wait except that they had a 2 party list and a 3-4 party list. They intentionally sat 3-4 party tables first no matter when they were put on the list. The rest of the 2 party groups waited for over an hour to be seated while parties of 3-4 were seated after only about 20 minutes of waiting. I'm trying to find the sense in that. My steak was overcooked. I asked for medium and it was almost well done. The grits don't taste as good as I remember. I won't be returning to this location. I gave 2 stars because my friend enjoyed her meal.

Valerie Jenks

Quaint home cooking cafe. Excellent service, great menu, wonderful home cooked food. Love the decor and views.

Be2ful1

Nice place good food

Kamal Black

Had a great time food came fast everyone was nice great place to bring friends and family. Selbe was a amazing manager I recommend this if your in midtown

Edward Hines

I love this place egg extravaganza " French toast" and grits

Next Phaze Productions

No wait but they didn't have 2 of the items I wanted to order. Service was mediocre and the waitress wasn't very informed regarding the menu. Ended up with Salmon and grits which were awesome btw, drinks were eh,location is awesome for people watching and great vibe inside

Murray Klein

Still very good! Nice menu with many different things. I had the Southern scrambled eggs which include collards and turkey bacon. They were a little dry. The grits are really delicious! My biscuit was also a little dry and overbaked.

Ashley M. King

Great service !!! I love coming to this location and we’ll definitely be back soon!! Thank you guys so much keep up the great work and atmosphere!!! Selbe and Bernard are the greatest !!!

W J

Great little slide in slide out cafe with a well seasoned grill sizzling out great breakfast/brunch. The biscuits are heavy and filling.....All you need is one. The service was excellent. I’d put this at the top of my go to list in midtown Atlanta. This location is one of the two originals. It has since been franchised.

Lauren Bales

1000% worth the wait. Eat the shrimp and grits, you won’t regret it! The apple jam is out of this world. Couldn’t have asked for a better breakfast.

Alicia Grubb

Cute, smaller version of the Flying Biscuit I've been to in another part of the city. Staff is great. Guests are kind. Manager is amazing! Super chatty and provided me with things to do in the city nearby while I'm visiting town!

Eric Erks

The service was fantastic. Their shrimp and grits and chicken potpie is delicious.

Derrick Harper

Great place, food was delicious an cook to order!

Seating was awesome, the service was terrible. I waited about 30 minutes to get my food & the order was wrong twice, barely anyone was in the restaurant during this hour so I didn’t understand why my food took so long to come out. Food was ok, I wouldn’t recommend.

Food here is great, service is nice, location is good and if you come sit by the open window on a nice day it will make a big difference

We went here based off all the good reviews they had and I wasn't disappointed. If you go relatively early (8-9am) there isn't a long wait. The place is on the smaller size, however people who did wait were seated within 10 minutes. My friend had the shrimp and grits plate per our waiter's recommendation. I opted to try something else from the menu and had the eggs, biscuit, and gravy. This was so good! It also is served with grits on the side.

Delicious and Cozy. Like eating at home in your comfort

Loved the floor to ceiling windows that open up to make it feel like your sitting on a patio while inside . Food was good and quick . Will be back !

Food was great! Area is small but they make good use of the space!

Elizabeth Chambers

Excellent when you really want to go downtown. Food is good.

The flying biscuit is scrumptious!!! Actual quotes from friends and family I have brought here: "This is the best shrimp and grits I have EVER eaten!!" "This is the best bacon I've had in my life

Brittani Davis

It wasnt good to me but the service was good

Tabatha Morgan

The shrimp and grits were a HUGE disappointment thats excluding the undercooked biscuit. The wait was entirely too long to recieve a less than okay meal and undercooked biscuit.

Party of 7 that was split and had to wait a hour to be seated and over a hour to eat. One table of the party got their food before the other table. The food is not worth the wait..we were hungry when we arrived. This is not the place to go if you have something to do for the day.

Great grits, enjoyed the rest of my meal also. Very good service and good price/value. Very tight seating, but we'll worth it.

kiara nicole

Oatmeal pancakes are good! Customer service from the Male host and waiter were superb. Sweet small place.

Awesome atmosphere, the creamy dreamy grits are simply AMAZING not to mention the cranberry apple butter OMG. Overall I am very impressed and glad I stopped in to eat.

Such a small place but the best place to go when you visit Georgia. I am a native of Georgia and usually go to the slop tops such as Waffle House. However, if you would like a nice breakfast that is filling and flavorful, try flying biscuit. Be cautioned that oftentimes you have to wait for a while. Worth it, and I don’t even like breakfast food.

It's been 8 years since I last had their food. It was just as good today as it was 8 years ago. The biscuits are made with love and the grits taste like my momma made them!

Charlotte Mcfadden

Food was good seating tight service and server's fast and polite would come again

Heather Young

This place is worth the wait outside. They are great to their employees so everything is slightly more expensive, but honestly compared to other brunch spots, the prices end up being about the same! Personal favorite: the mimosas and the omelettes!

Today was my first time eating here and let me start off by saying the woman who seated us was extremely rude. She had a very nasty attitude and should not be the one first greeting customers into this restaurant. On the other hand, our waitress Esmeralda (I may have spelled that incorrectly, if so, I apologize) was very sweet ♥️ and attentive. I ordered the tofu scramble with fresh fruit and was not disappointed. Definitely one if my new go to places for breakfast!

Given the high ratings - I expected this place to be delicious - but it was not. Got the High Flyer with potatoes and my eggs scrambled. The potatoes were so salty I could not eat them. The eggs had many odd orange and brown discolored spots which were very unappealing looking, the oatmeal pancake was raw and mushy in the middle and the biscuit looked awesome but was hard on the outside and raw in the middle. Bottom line - could not eat this breakfast and left hungry. Top side - our server was very nice and the manager apologized and did not charge us. But I would have rather had a good breakfast and paid.

Today we had our first visit to the flying biscuit..we are visiting from California and my cousin recommended this place for breakfast. When we were seated the table was wet, so we had to ask for assistance. We didn't receive our utensils until after our food was served, and those were dripping wet yuck..I was excited to see the tofu scramble; which I ordered. After placing our order, the food took a while to arrive...The scramble was very salty and had a vinegar taste to it, not sure if it was from the collard greens I discovered underneath or just heavy handed seasoning..it was more like a tofu and mushroom scramble because there were alot of mushrooms in the dish compared to the other veggies listed on the menu. After a couple of bites I couldn't eat it due to the overwhelming salt, so I asked for a couple of sides to go because everyone at my table were almost finished with their entrees..oh my mom asked for mayonnaise for her turkey burger and that took a few minutes, the waitress stated that she had to order it through the kitchen so we expected it to come in a ramekin or some sort of small dish, but she came to our table to wash 2 refrigerated packs of mayonnaise lol..and the mac n cheese is fried in a square and had no flavor other than a processed cheese taste. The restuarant and small and I was continuously bumped whenever a patron passed by. They had the windows open and I think they had AC but I couldn't feel it and flies were flying everywhere. This place and the food truly did not live up to my expectations.

I placed a $20 order and my biscuit was over cooked and the food was cold. .. this location is not as good as the sandy Springs location

Really yummy brunch food! The menu is diverse and the service is good. Sometimes the food is a bit salty. The biscuits are more sweet than savory but still yummy.

Patricia Ayala

Loved their food. Green fried tomatoes was yummy

Kendall Dodson

Creamy dreamy grits! 'Nuff said.

Manisha Krishnan

The Flying Biscuit had delicious food and good coffee. The grits and biscuits were especially exquisite. The server and host were really friendly and we had a great conversation through my meal. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that would like a taste of Atlanta hospitality!

Jamie Smith

The best food ever. I had the Coca cola BBQ burrito yummy and fried green tomatoes

Sven Sharpsword

Really busy place but all the staff was keeping up really well. All of the food was cooked perfectly to order. Nice atmosphere for a quick bite, but I wouldn't linger too long for sake of the other people waiting!

It was my first time here and I thought it must be a really good place to have breakfast just by looking at the long line outside the restaurant. Service was fast, but I was disappointed by the French toast, and the "moondust" potatoes. Also the Bloody Mary was more pickle juice than anything. Everything else tasted good, nothing extraordinary. I don't know how are the lunch/dinner items though. It was a little too tight to move around in there but the place looked clean at least. The restroom capacity is inadequate for a busy place like that.

Food was good & plentiful. Our server was great too and gave us good menu suggestions. Had the Southern scramble which has spicy collard greens in it...loved it!
