This place was phenomenal! There is a ton of room in this place and the food is great. There is a bar area downstairs and plenty of seating upstairs. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is so helpful. This place is one that I am going to put on my list of favorites. I'll definitely return if ever in Atlanta again.

Great home style Food 24hrs a day. Frances was our server, and she was Absolutely wonderful. We made sure to go back when she was working as she made sure everything was exactly right. Connected to the Hyatt Regency via the Hub. Great place to eat plenty of seating and no wait.

I love that this place is 24hrs and they play music and have a DJ. Never been to a dinner quite like this. The food does the trick especially if you been out all night. The wait staff are also real nice. Really good breakfast.

Our waiter Luis was good. The restaurant itself was way too hot, the seats were ripped and uncomfortable, and they had walkways blocked with giant fans. This restaurant is a fire code violation waiting to happen as most walkways were tiny and partially blocked. The kitchen staff bringing out food was extremely rude and would run you over in the tiny walkways even when you tried to get out of their way.

The food was really slow to come, but I don't fault the waiter. Everyone had complaints about the food. I got a southwestern chicken wrap. I expected it to be cold except for the chicken but it was full of cooked vegetables. Then it was still wrapped in wax paper that was impossibly stuck to the tortilla. It tasted good but it wasn't at all what I thought I ordered.

Fantastic place to eat. Very cool tiered seating. Came with a group of 30 students. Staff was very accommodating, and service was very quick. We were served our food in about 10 minutes after we sat down.

I took my complaining, doesn't like anything, nit picky, coworker here. I've been here a lot over the years and though it's mostly hits there have been some misses. So I was worried about my coworker who seriously is "that" customer you wish didn't eat out at all She loved it!!! She had the country fried steak and hashbrowns. I had the phillycheese steak which was delicious but I wish the bread was strong enough to contain its contents lol. The fries are very good! Good and crispy!! The folks there are always friendly day or night. They have kareoke in the evenings I'm not sure which night and open 24 hours (I think). You can order anything off the menu including breakfast all day.

Worst experience ever at this establishment. This guy named Joe, who happens to be related to the owner was very rude and disrespectful for no apparent reason to me and a few other patrons. When I placed my order with another person, I afterwards asked his name and he was being secretive. I then asked the lady behind the counter and was continuing with her and all of a sudden, Joe asked the police to escort me out. I had a long conversation with the officer and he definitely understood the situation on my behalf and proceeded to work with getting my money back for my order. I advise any person or group to not visit this establishment if you want a good experience on a visit. And the bad part is I live in Atlanta...This place sucks!!!

The food was ok. I ordered a veggie omelet with the house fries and toast. Omelet was pretty bland, but I liked the texture of the potato fries. I had to add salt and pepper and onion to give it flavor. The wheat toast had a weird taste. Overall, the atmosphere is cool for late nights when there is nothing else to eat. My food tastes way better at home, so that just motivated me to cook more. Nothing against this diner though.

Hidden gem in downtown atlanta. Wait staff is very polite and answered all of my questions and went above and beyond their role to make sure i enjoyed my visit. Food was outstanding, making it one of the best places to eat during my visit to this city. Strongly recommend for any meal!

This is a great place to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Me and my fiancee love to eat here at night before or after a movie. Nice place to sit down and enjoy your meal. Nice staff as well!

Fantastic manager and waiting staff. Superior quality service. We ordered the the Greek Gyro which is INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS, and the fries are perfectly crispy and flavorful. Highly recommend, will be coming back.

When I first looked at the menu I thought that it was a bit pricy. When our food was delivered to our table I realized what a great value it was due to the enormous portions. What my son thought was going to be a simple gyro turned out to be a monstrous gyro platter. I am a big eater, yet couldn't finish my Reuben and all of the wonderfully seasoned fries that came with it. The flavor was ex Ellen and the food quality top notch. The service staff was friendly and helpful. I give this spot 2 thumbs up

We went real late at night like around midnight. It look, service, vibe, etc was pretty nice! The FOOD was GREAT!!! We had the Gyro, Fries, Chicken wrap, and Turkey burger. All of them taste great!

It's a karaoke spot that only let's you sing fast songs. Like it totally sucks and the music is not diverse enough to serve metro Atlanta. The drinks are too expensive and watered down. On the good side they are open late.

I visit for the deserts. My co-workers and I indulge ourselves with a wide variety of cakes. They're as tastey as they are beautiful to the eye. Each slice is super large more than enough for two. If you can agree on the same cake. Good luck with that though. Cheers!

I came to Metro Cafe Diner for lunch while staying at the nearby Hyatt Regency. When you walk in, it's an odd sort of place: sports bar/wet bar downstairs and family restaurant upstairs. We were seated right away. Our server was a nice young man. I had the chicken philly with fries. The sandwich was perhaps one of the most dull hot sandwiches I've ever had--it's hard for something covered in cheese to not be immaculate. The onions tasted like they were over cooked in too much water. The fries were really good so was the sweet tea. When I entered the desserts looked amazing! We ordered a slice of strawberry shortcake to split 3 ways. My drink cup was empty for a good 30 minutes before my waiter noticed to refill it. Honestly this whole experience can be summed up as "meh."

It was pretty late, but we wanted something light to eat. We shared the spinach pie appetizer on the recommendation of our server. It did not disappoint. Ample serving to split. We had the million dollar cake for dessert. Yum!! Karaoke night was pretty sorry entertainment. Our hotel recommended this place for live music. It was fun, but not very good!

We were told there was only a 20 min wait and waited over an hour, our waitress seemed to have TOO MANY tables as she would try talking to them while we were ordering, we waited 20 min after being seated to get our drinks, although our food came quick my mashed potatoes had French fries in them, I didn't say anything because I didn't have time to wait for more I had the fried fish platter it came with mashed potatoes and what I think was supposed to be steamed veggies but they were almost completely raw, the fish was great tho perfectly cooked and the starter sauce was fantastic. This place has some amazing desserts which I didn't get to have because we waited sooo long and I didn't have time. The atmosphere is nice but was very crowded. I should add that my experience was during the ATLANTA DRAGON CON CONVENTION.

We ate here on a whim. I googled a place close to Stone Mountain and picked this place because of the variety of food and I was not disappointed! I got the Greek Gyro and it was absolutely amazing. Burgers and chicken were also ordered and they were really good. To finish off our meal we had the Apple Crumble Cheesecake. OMG!! It was light and creaminess magic. An absolute party waiting to happen. If I had known it was going to be that good, I would have ordered it first!! If we ever come back in the area I would definitely come back to eat. Thank you for an amazing lunch!!

Amazing food, but very spotty service in the morning hours. Arion was our server and barely visited us during our stay. At one point we took our drinks to the kitchen and refilled them ourselves. If they were busy, I'd be more forgiving but there were only 5 tables full. When we received the checks, we found that she had added an 18% gratuity despite us being only a party of 5. We disputed it and she removed it, but we thought that was very sleazy of her to sneak in an 18% gratuity for nearly nonexistent service.

Have you ever heard of the lair (sp) of the lotus eaters? Every time I go here thats what I’m reminded of. The bar downstairs is always alive, karaoke being sung, drinks, the games are on. Upstairs at the dine in area it feels like you’re on set for Scarface. The mirrors and the music make for a pretty decent experience. The after the club crowd is always still coming down and the mix of tourists with us locals makes the entire place a great atmosphere for everyone. This is a great place. Food is always amazing. Wings are great, and i mean it considering this is a wing city. The whole menu is awesome and I promise you my wife and i have tried them all.

Food wasn’t bad. The cheesecake was really good though. Our waitress however, was rude. She asked for ID and instead of handing it back to you, she laid it on the table while your hand was out. She also tried to slap a desert menu to the table while my hand is out and it created an awkward situation where I’m trying to “catch” the menu as she tried to lay it on the table. This is all while she avoids eye contact and tries to blow by our table. Being the person I am, I gave this little girl a 20% tip anyway, because I don’t know what she’s going through - this type of service isn’t acceptable, but unfortunately, is the norm in Atlanta and I’ve grown tired of it. Stop hiring people with attitude problems.

Went here for karaoke. Absolutely loved it! The drinks we're basic (nothing complicated here), but the staff was lovely, the crowd lively, the cake delicious and the atmosphere chummy. Everyone was very nice, the DJ was welcoming and it was just a very fun, welcoming atmosphere of dancing and comradery.

Service is good and friendly. Ok when a diner serves a gryro, you gotta try it. It was very good. The fries that came with it was a bit disconnected from the gryro. My wife's trio of fettuccine, lasagna, and chicken parmesan was average. Huge portions. Can easily be shared. We dined late and this place was empty.

I come here every year for dragon con. Food is good and reasonably priced. The French fries are the lightly battered crispy kind which are my favorite and pretty rare elsewhere. Music and karaoke down by the bar, though that may be an event thing.

I mean, if you have a 24-hour diner in the middle of downtown, you may as well lean into it, right? Make it a party! A 24-hour diner is gonna be a sh!t show no matter what. So why not have a bar on the main level with karaoke? And why not design the mirror-and-neon decor to looks like M.C. Escher designed a 3-level strip club? There are mirrors everywhere adding to the late night trippy daze, and the neon tubes seem very retro. Enjoy yourself downstairs, have your drunk food upstairs, and maybe get lost in the middle somewhere. Come in sober and leave with your head spinning, alcohol optional.

Service 100, Food 60, Atmosphere 75. Food Value and Price.. 40 Not really happy with the food there. I expected better. I had a simple Pancake breakfast with eggs and bacon. The pancakes were not very good at all. Had it not been for the gracious and wonderful server I would have returned them and just paid for my soup. The lemon chicken soup was a bit bland but nothing salt and pepper could not fix. I've been there for karaoke and drinks and I think I'm going to keep it that way from now on and eat elsewhere.

Good place to stop in for almost any kind of fare. They even have omelette's available 24 hours a day. Be warned it can be more of a club environment at night as a different crowd comes in and they will probably have the music turned up. The first floor is more of a bar setting than a diner anyway. The top floors are arranged in tables. They have some great cakes available for dessert as well. Loved the throw back tunes playing while we ate.

I have been attending a convention in Atlanta for the past 2 years now and this restaurant is right up the street from the hotel I stay at. When my group and I are at the convention and get hungry, we often stop by this restaurant to grab a bite to eat. When you first walk in the restaurant, the ambience is a bit dark than most people may like, but it isn't too terrible

Great place to get drunk I'm sure but if you are going there to try to get food you will either be asked to get it to go or told to go eat at the bar where nobody will take your order and there is no where to sit. Staff were RUDE and dismissive of concerns!

The waitress Dee was very informative and she was very tentative to our needs and questions at the diner that had a late night menu which was very different from the regular menu they use at the diner. She explained to us and led us on the right path to a great tasting meal. The atmosphere was relaxing and restaurant clean. Dee was truly awesome!!

Disclaimer: Traveling and came ONCE. This is not a bad diner, but it's just "good". They keep the temperature way too hot (I was uncomfortable the entire time) and the upper deck is cramped. Besides that, the food was good. Had a classic American burger and it was great and the fries too. Their house Lager is also great. Customer service was also just "good".

My friends tried to warn me about this place but I wanted to see for myself. Unfortunately they were completely right. I ordered a hamburger and a sweet tea. The tea tasted like it had been sitting for at least 4 hrs and someone dumped a whole 4lb bag of sugar into it. The burger, which I ordered well done, had a bunch of pink on the inside of it and wasn’t seasoned at all. Made a very bland burger. The Kraft cheese that was thrown on top was horrible as well. I asked for no tomato and no lettuce but ketchup and mayo on the side. The Mayo was missing and they added the lettuce and tomato. I won’t be coming back here again.

Had to make this review months later after my first night in ATL and my family and I biked around and found this place after searching for food, and I had such a great time here it was poppin and we met a lot of influential people while waiting for our table. Food was BOMB and after we ate we went down and enjoyed the music. Loved my time there and will definitely return when I come back also loved that the place is open late and made me wish i had something like this in Minneapolis where I am from.

Great service, always. Went here Christmas Eve, and for a work lunch more recently, and both times the service was great, and the food was exactly what you expect from a diner. I really really enjoy there sandwiches and burgers, and their prices are so reasonable. And it's a fun atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

The entire place is practically in shambles, a lot of the mirrors are cracked, the lamp above our table was held together with duct tape.. Service was insanely slow, had to flag down a waitress just to get a drink refill. Food was mediocre at best with almost no flavor at all even when doused with a hefty dose of salt. We were left waiting for our check long after we were done eating. Honestly extremely disappointed with this place and won't be coming back again. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Great drinks! The bartender was poppin. The food tastes great. We need a place exactly like this in the north. Great internal layout. There are two huge fans as you walk up the stairs that you can stand in front of.....so convenient if you're coming in from the hot outside. The waiter gentleman I had was friendly. And again, good drinks! I was there with a group. All of our orders were accurate. No complaints!

The atmosphere was nice. My homemade lasagna and salad were delicious; however, my boyfriend's steak tips were bland. Additionally it took an hour for our food to arrive. We were minutes from leaving. From the time we put in our orders, the waiter did not come and check on us. We had to flag the waiter down and ask him about the status of our food. He also did not refill our drinks. If we hadn't been so patient, we would have left.

I love this place! We went Saturday night around 7 or 8 PM waititng for karaoke. Everything was fairly priced to be in the center of downtown. I paid 4$ for a side of fries. They do not do split checks for a party greater than 6!! If you want to do karaoke you have to buy a drink from the bar first. The place gets busy around 9pm so if you want a seat get there around 8:30. our server was super nice she explained everything and didn't rush us when things got busy! I will definitely be going back. also the cakes slices were huge and good (according to my friend)

Location/signing is a bit odd from The Hub but it's decent good for a good price. Ate breakfast here and my waitress Vanessa was extremely nice and gave great service.
