As of day the firm gets a score of 4.5 stars over 5 and this score has been based on 232 reviews.
As you can read, the average score it has is basically the highest, and it is founded on a high number of feddbacks, so we can conclude that the assessment is quite faithful. If people have bothered to evaluate when they are happy, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to give tatings when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Coffee Shop corresponds to the category of Coffee shop.
Lovely little place, good for breakfast or coffee after lunch and a sweet treat! They have a lot of vegan options and really great coffee!! I had an iced coffee with almondmilk and enjoyed it very much. Super friendly service and the lady was very knowledgeable about all the food. They have enough parking space at the back, just very few steps away. Definitely recommend JavaVino
Great experience here with great service and of course great coffee. Beans are sourced from Nicaragua and when this is combined with a modern coffee house the creates a fun experience. The turmeric coffee was actually yellow and left a nice burn on the throat. Parking was fine when I came here but I imagine it can fill up super quick.
I love EVERYTHING about this place. They roast their own beans from a family farm in Nicaragua. One of the baristas in particular, Page, offers EXCEPTIONAL customer service. She's also really pretty, which is just the cherry on top!
Coffee and wine cafe. A great pairing. Chill atmosphere. Nice staff.
This place is cool. A funky vibe with great coffee and desserts. The people are fantastic.
Favorite Café in Atlanta
Friendly people at a good place to work or relax. There's coffee & tea but also beer & wine, as the name implies. Pastries, sweets, & an great offering of sandwiches & smaller dishes. JV owns its own family farm & roasts in house so everything is done right. Come for an unpretentious, authentic, neighborhood favorite.
The barista said he made a mean chai latte and he didn't lie.
They have a little of everything- one part coffee, one part beer, one part wine. So whatever mood you may be in they have you covered. Quiet, small and comfortable and oddly enough it's never crowded except when the weather is bad. They have great snacks and a variety of coffee beans.
One of my favorite places to study during the weekdays. It’s far enough away from Tech and Emory that it’s not packed but close enough to both to be convenient. Plenty of parking. There is a small lot behind the building but during the day people park in the lot next door for Marlows tavern with no problems. Great coffee and good choice for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. One of the few coffee shops that still has decent prices. Also has the best music. It’s crowded and a little louder on the weekends but I’ve never had a problem getting a seat. One of my favorite coffee shops in Atlanta.
My first time visiting this quaint coffee shop in Atlanta with a number of coffee to choose from. Set in a community of other business and established homes, it is a welcoming place. It has an upstairs room where you can have a small gathering/party. They do, however close at 9:00pm. I like this place & would return.
Great coffee. Great ambience. Awesome owners.....
I absolutely love the food and coffee at this place! Great service and atmosphere!
Usually has a great relaxed atmosphere.
Great atmosphere
They have good space for working with free wifi and they have delicious coffee and cheesecake - a great afternoon treat!
Beautiful little coffee shop
I love this spot. Great coffee and good wine selection. Quiet and quaint.
It was ok. I didn't like the mocha they made me. It was very crowded and not many tables. The parking space is very small and when I called them they said that I could park just ride beside in the big parking space from a tavern that is a cross the street. I've of the ladies was very, very nice and the other was kind of rude.
JavaVino was a really cool coffee and wine house. I was visiting a very old friend there to chat, and the staff was astoundingly nice. I was alble to relax and talk for house comfortably. Plus, they have some amazing snacks!
Has a great venue for intimate events at a reasonable price. Staff is awesome and very helpful.
One of my favorite places to go for chai latte and a snack. Also a great place for meeting with one or two artistic colleagues about projects.
I come here time to time and decided to use the internet but didn't feel like buying anything (this time). The long bearded man behind the counter decided to say something about it. Won't be coming back : )
Great concept, actually visited to attend an event but very quaint spot.
Cute coffee shop with tasty homemade bagels and great tea.
I can't express how AMAZING this venue was to host a baby shower. The space was immaculate and cozy, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were set up and ready to go. I hope everyone books this venue for any event because it truly can't be beat!!!
Been going since they opened... great place to chill or work. Wine tastings to lattes, they always have me coming back.
I love the atmosphere and sunlight. The coffe is great and the snacks are wonderful, especially the 'everything bagel' with pesto olive oil! Oh, the people are fiendly too!!
Amazing place to have coffee and parties
Nice, comfortable atmosphere to study
Great selection of drinks and food, including many vegan options.
Their coffee beans are the best. Best coffee I've made at home. Prices are very reasonable and you can earn free coffee too!
Amazing coffee! And the wine lounge upstairs was right up my alley.. I'll most definitely be back
My favorite coffee shop in Atlanta
Cool cafe, friendly staff
This is my all time favorite coffee shop. Atlanta is my hometown. But I've moved. But every time I come home, I have to visit and get the chocolate bread pudding. Warning: it is super rich, but worth the calories. Lol The name pretty much says it all...they have great wine and coffees. Not the run-of-the-mill coffee stop. The only thing is it's pretty cozy. So, it's best to catch off peak hours. Still ... I highly recommend a visit. Oh...and I'm not sure if they still do this, but they have a smaller bistro area in the basement and loft above that they rent out for events. My book club used to meet there. It was a great option -- good food, good vibes!
Quaint little coffee shop (that also serves wine) with good atmosphere
Good food, good coffee, nice atmosphere.
Frankly, I've not had such a disgusting experience in a coffee shop as I did today. Alex and Ari were working and they were terrible and NOT what I have ever experienced at Java Vino ever. They apparently have either had a lapse in judgement allowing these 2 to run shop on a Saturday or they are experiencing a terrible decline in qualified applicants. Either way, I wasn't aware it took a genius to scramble eggs. I ordered a breakfast sandwich that 1. Eggs weren't scrambled 2. The eggs were not cooked 3. It took 20 minutes to even receive. After receiving, and noticing this was a bit awry, I politely asked for a new sandwich as IM PREGNANT and can't eat uncooked eggs. Well 10 minutes later I re-received a microwaved and chopped up old sandwich. Pretty unsanitary if you ask me. After declining a third try, who knows what I would have received, the "cook" came out to argue with me that it was the cheese that was runny.....seriously? I'm quite aware of what the color differentiation between cheddar, albumin, and yolk are...but THANKS. So, needless to say, I will now be choosing highland bakery as my breakfast go to. I'd happily pay a higher fee for friendly, competent staff and properly cooked food. Thanks for a few good year's, java vino. But this experience has me moving on! ROBYN STEWART
Get the bee sting latte
Great espresso drinks and blended frozen drinks, but limited seating and most of the parking is down a VERY steep hill into a crowded, small lot: nerve-wracking if you drive a manual. Only good for groups if you rent their meeting room, and the layout is not conducive to working with few distractions. Kinda over-hyped.
Quaint little place to have cup of coffee. Friendly & helpful staff.
Cozy and good taste
Enjoyed our coffee!
I support this cute lovely local coffee shop. Has local coffee and great snacks and food.
Very friendly staff and great coffee!
Nice unusual selection of pastries and goodies although I didn't have anything but coffee which was delicious. Counter clerk was a bit stiff and the place was tiny but well worth the visit
To me, Java Vino is the definition of a corner coffee shop. It's comfortable and welcoming in all the right ways. It's small, in a very cozy way. It's friendly, in a neighborly way. The menu provides everything you'd need from a coffee shop during the day, and from a local hangout bar in the evening. About the only gripe I have with Java Vino is the location. It's not on the friendliest part of Ponce, but it is right next to the Highlands. I came to Java Vino never having seen it (it's just off the beaten path), and frankly never having heard of it till Jaclyn mentioned it as our next spot. In fact, I drove right past it without realizing it. Because of that, I've had to keep my eyes much more open every time I drive. I'm kicking myself for not having found or tried this place earlier than I did. Atmosphere- To me, this is the biggest appeal of Java Vino. It's a cozy feeling place. Comfortable couches in bright sunny spots, tables for work in less sunny areas, and a very clean overall feeling. There could be a few more seats, but I think they have a winning formula that they shouldn't mess with. The art's also a nice touch. Coffee- Java Vino brews Selva Negra Estate coffee, which is grown by Java Vino's owner's parents. They roast their own coffee on site, and offer a wide selection which you really can't find anywhere else in Atlanta. The coffee tastes amazing, and there's honestly nothing to complain about here. Service- Cordial, friendly, neighborly. These guys know their coffee, and the best part about it is their willingness to share. Other places have baristas who like to show off their knowledge. Java Vino does not give off that vibe, and they feel very down to Earth. Location- It's in the Poncey-Highlands area of Atlanta, which basically means the other side of Ponce from Virginia Highlands. It's not a bad neighborhood, but it's not the best either. Parking is available in plenty though. Legitimacy- They grow, roast, and brew their own coffee, and they've been up and coming in the Atlanta scene. Their coffee is brewed in a few other locations, and all of this adds to their legitimacy.
Quiet place where you can enjoy your coffee and take your conference call.
Red Iguana ❤️❤️❤️
Terrible
The place is small but popular with people of all age group. Georgia State U kids hang out here a lot. My daughter and her friend have me meet them there for coffee and sandwich.
Great food and great service!
Awesome home grown coffee shop offering premium coffee varieties from all around the world!! Very competitive pricing and staff is very friendly and down to earth. The organic naked lady is an excellent brew, probably the best I've ever had!! :)
In the Poncey-Highlands/L5P/Virginia Highlands area only several coffee places stay open late, and kudos to JavaVino for being one of those places. The coffee and food are not my personal favorite, but they do have tolerable cookies. What really limits my excitement about JavaVino is its unreliable service: maybe you'll get your coffee; maybe you'll get a whole banana for a fruit salad; maybe your order will go MIA in the kitchen. JavaVino would benefit from improved organization.
Incredibly friendly staff for the coffee enthusiasts and newbies alike. Ample space for seating inside and the outside patio is great when the weather is right.
Love this place. Great for wine, coffee and tea!
Great little community café, the vibe services a more focused, work-oriented crowd during the day. Menu-wise, the London Fog is excellent, a good alternative if you're not a big coffee person. I'd give some of the other teas a miss, unless you really know what you're about in the tea world. Their sangria is an Atlanta summertime staple. Also, they have excellent and generous hours. Tip accordingly.
little hipster girl at the register dropped the N-BOMB while i was waiting on my food, i was like ughhh at least wait until i leave to do that... nice coffee though but too many options around for all that
Such an amazing place and tje baristas are pretty darn fabulous!
Great small coffee shop. I ordered a green tea, the tea used was a good quality, not something cheap. The atmosphere is relaxing, inside is a nice place to sit quietly and either read or work without distractions. There is also an outdoor patio. It is near the street, but the noise of traffic did not distract from conversation. As the sun set lights were turned on outside, and there were some heaters as well to help with the cooler air of night.
Nice call environment in the big town, easy to miss so be careful
hi mom hi dad if your reading this i'm at school and giving 5 stars. love the free muffins ps its aiden(your favorite son)
Delicious coffee and great atmosphere
Awesome ambiance, Great Vibes, and Nicaraguan Coffee they also support local bakeries and shops. Need I say more.
Inside is awesome. Parking is a nightmare.
One of my favorite cafes
I like everything about this place except the limited parking. The coffee is good. The wine selection is fine. They had glühwein near Christmas. They have a jar of shortbread!!! I'll be back. A lot.
Amazing breakfast burrito
Steve is the only farm to cup coffee provider in town! Amazing cup of coffee!
I love their beans, food, drinks, patio; everything but the rude barista. I think she was more mad that she forgot my food and I had to ask about it.
Cozy spot for coffee and wine.
Love it.
Pillar of the neighborhood. Ethical, highest-quality coffee in unpretentious, homey setting. Baristas kind to a fault.
Went to a baby shower & the place was great!
Very helpful. Gave me just what I needed. Great coffee.
There was actually some parking and pretty good options for sitting for a Saturday night. Plus they have heavy cream for your coffee!
I love this place and the people who work there. It was amazing!
I found JavaVino when I was looking for a venue to host a baby shower. They have a small area above the cafe for rental. Unfortunately I didn't rent it because I needed a bigger venue. The manager was very friendly. This location is nice for a small gathering and it also has a balcony.
I really like this place but the staff is slow, they spend a lot of time outside, smoking.
This is a great place to sit and study. I came here early evening on a Saturday and there was plenty of parking as well as seats available for my friend and I. The customer service was great and I was recommended some great drinks and foods as a first timer here. The vibe is very down to earth, not fussy at all! I'll be coming here more often!
Coffee+Wine...count me in! One of my favorite coffee spots in Atlanta! Great Virginia Highlands location, delicious pastries & vegan treats, great sandwhiches, wraps, and soups. They also offer rewards where customers can earn free drinks. Great spot for reading, computing, or having coffee/lunch/drinks!
They've got Vietnamese coffee and it's legit.
I've been going going here since they opened.
I like this little coffee shop and wine house, it, definitely feels like a local spot where you might see repeat customers. I've only been here twice but I've enjoyed my coffee and meal on both occasions but I have to say the service is not consistent. It's not bad, it's just mediocre. The baristas can make a killer cup of coffee though. As the name suggests they offer coffee and wine, they host monthly wine events/ tastings. I need to check out their website for the next scheduled tasting. The shop is located on busy N Highlands Ave between Freedom Pkwy and North Ave. They offer free parking directly behind their building which is always a plus in the city. It's a very cozy shop with a few places to sit inside and they offer patio seating also in the front. I've had their top seller Bee Sting: Espresso, honey, vanilla and steamed milk topped with frothed milk ($4.50 12oz). After one sip I instantly knew why this was a hit. Its just the right amount of honey and the coffee is perfect. Maybe it's because JavaVino roasts all their own coffee, the house coffee and many of the blends come from their very own coffee farm, Selva Negra Coffee Estate, in Nicaragua. I've also tried the Dancing Cuban: chai, cinnamon, gingerbread and espresso ($4 8oz). 5 star drink that is absolutely delicious and smooth. My veggie friends you can find lots of vegan pastries in the case for purchase. Yummy!!
Tunes are always on point and same for their java & vino.
The coffee here is my go-to. Every chance I have to get my coffee here, I take it. Since everything is locally roasted, and family grown, you know what you're getting. In fact, this is the same place I buy my coffee at home from, too. So good! I urge you to take the plunge.
This place was classy, quiet, and elegant. I would've definitely given it five stars however they were out of toilet paper and paper towels in the downstairs bathroom where my group meeting was being held. Other than that the staff seems pleasant, and the atmosphere was quite relaxing.
Great space. Sweet treats are very yummy. I'm a tea drinker -- they have a nice selection -- but I can't attest to the quality of their coffee.
I wish I could give a more detailed review, but honestly, I just come here for their almond milk chai latte. It's that good!! They said they get it locally, which is awesome. It's a decent size space, has a great atmosphere and the staff is always friendly. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend trying it out. And a neat little fact is they get their coffee from a family farm in Nicaragua.
Really like this coffee place to sit and work. Food is good as well.
Great coffee and food, a decent study spot too.
Good cold brew, nice outdoor seating
My scarf was stolen while I was studying last week.
Great local coffee shop. The coffee is awesome and very nice people.
Love this little gem. I’ve been coming here for a few years and the coffee is delicious. Also, do yourself a favor and grab a biscotti. They’re huge and heavy and worth every calorie they possess.
I love trying new coffee shops around Atlanta and this was my latest stop! Went later on in the day so the place was overall pretty quiet which made for a great place to work at. I enjoy the coffee shops that also provide more than just simple pastries! I got a latte and a panini, both of which were great. The service was excellent and staff was friendly. Will be returning
a taste of Italy
Best coffee and breakfast burrito in town.
Friendly baristas, delicious signature drinks, (try the Bee Sting), cozy and quaint atmosphere for studying.
Wine and coffee in a delightful location.
Dog friendly place
Nice good and friendly
Waited iver 20 minutes for an egg and cheese with 3 mushrooms. After having to send it back for coming on the wrong bread. It's not busy in here at all. Girls were nice service was not.
Fast and friendly service with the best Cappuccino in the Atlanta area. The goat cheese brownies are also to die for.
Love it! Love it! Love it! I go here to just hang out and make sense of the world. And the coffee is second to none
Everything about this place is just right, from the coffee to the food, and especially the atmosphere. The music is never too loud and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Did I mention they're very good at making coffee beverages?
Terrible. AND I've never recovered from their associations in Nicaragua. They claim to be In fair trade, yet feature in their library a book by a Somoza family member. That regime never supported fair trade on any level. I can taste the hypocrisy and deceit in my coffeee. Plus, worst grilled cheese ever. Afraid to try the wine!
Fantastic staff, great music, and a lovely neighborhood feel. Great coffee selection and preparation. Oh, and the food is delicious!
My wife and I drive over to Atlanta just to go to Java vino...we love it, and the nekid dirty man coffee (it's the way the bean is roasted)
Wonderful place, they have event space available
New mgmt is suspect
A great place for great service, good coffee and welcoming environment.
very nice
Barista staff knowledgeable and quick to give orders. Sweet and welcoming. Free WiFi with purchase. Offers outdoor seating, unisex restroom, and self served water if needed. Gets crowded but also environment relaxed at certain hours.
It definitely is a place for coffee of beverage. I wish there was more entrances. The store is kept up and details are thought out.
The story of this coffee shop is truly special - and the coffee and almond croissants are fantastic too! They have a direct relationship with a single farm in Nicaragua where they source their coffee beans. You can even see the entire process documented on the wall (see picture)! This is a coffee-geek destination, the true embodiment of farm-to-cup. Plus wine, tea, beer, and breakfast sandwiches and borritos! Parking is tight but welcome to Atlanta. It's a short walk from the Jimmy Carter Library, which has plenty of parking.
Came here with a group of around 7. The location is a block away from the freedom park trail, so it is relatively easy to get to on bicycle. The location is a little bit cramped inside (for groups), but there is a cozy outdoor seating area that easily fits a moderate group. I kept my order simple and just ordered a hot coffee. I was pleased with the taste of the coffee, and availability of condiments for the coffee. I can not comment on the other menu selections, but many of them seemed interesting.
The food is fresh and delicious and I have enjoyed their wine selection
Great coffeehouse
Meh. The barista was completely uninterested in serving me anything. The chocolate croissant was given to me without warming it up and it was a hard piece of crap anyways. The coffee was Ok, but tasteless really. Nothing special here. The inside and outside is kinda nice but the service and items are just lame. Hit Chrome Yellow instead for a pastry and coffee. I'm still trying to find better spots.
Great neighborhood coffee shop. The employees are always friendly and it's a chill place to relax if you into that. Don't forget the beer and wine!
