Starting out for another eatery, but wasn't disappointed with this restaurant (as a backup). The orange juice is freshly squeezed and tasty. The food was similarly fresh. And the coffee was to die for. Like the rest of Coral Gable, this place doesn't have parking so if you're in walking distance, it's better to hoof. If you go here, you will like there food.

I don't know why this is not advertised. This place is a little gem if you are looking for something authentic and unique. Probably one of my favorite spots in all of Miami. Yes I bring Gucci!!!

Cafe Demetrio is a relaxing, quaint area to stop by for a coffee and a quick bite to eat. I grabbed a Chicken Caesar wrap and an iced tea for lunch. The iced tea was spot-on, but the CCW seemed pricey for $12. I wouldn't recommend the food, although it wasn't bad. Just expensive for what you get. Chips are Lays brand, regular style. Just "meh". Overall, the ambiance is great, though.

Ordered breakfast with them though Uber eats and I got to say the poached egg was delicious and the food really good! The only thing I would ask they improve on is the roasted potatoes were yummy but they gave me only 3 halves and they were the tiniest potatoes ever. Too good for only 3 little one I’d say at least 2 more on a plate. Great job either way!

This coffee shop might seem hidden, but the architecture of the outside makes it noticeable. The patio has a big tree and twinkle lights that make your whole experience there really quaint, like you're not in Miami anymore. I love sunsets with an afternoon coffee here. It closes early, like at 6 or 7, but it's very European in the sense that you can sit there with a coffee and converse for hours.

Perfect brunch place in Coral Gables. Came here with my husband when we were visiting Miami. We came here around 12 and the place was not too crowded. We sat outside to eat as the weather was great. I ordered eggs florentine and my husband got the scrambled eggs with veggies and both were great. I really liked my eggs florentine. The great thing about this place is that the quantity is just right and one can actually finish everything on the plate. We got the coffee of the day and it was really good.

Very poor customer service. I asked for a guava juice they falsely present as real fruit juice, and it was made with guava jam. Asked to be exchange for another juice (orange) and the manager said no and did not even come out to explained why. Not planning to come back even though their food is excellent.

Oh dear. I'm hoping I caught this place on a bad day. Went for breakfast. One order was wrong. The other order didn't even turn up! We didn't bother waiting for our other order. Was a shame as it seems like a nice place with friendly atmosphere and a nice outdoor courtyard.

How things have changed. Used to be great. Now, Horrible service. Exhorbitant prices. Empanadas were ice cold. Cappuccinos warm at best. Served our food but no utensils or napkins. I had to get up and request. I will never come back.

Don't understand the bad reviews, which honestly almost kept me away. Listen, their breakfast and coffee is really good and their customer service is excellent. My breakfast was brought out without the bacon I asked for. So I began to eat thinking the bacon was on its way. Needless to say the food was sooooo delicious I had completely forgot about the bacon. The bacon finally came out as we were leaving and I told the waitress I no longer wanted the bacon. They apologized for the inconvenience, and to make up for it, gave us a chocolate crunch eclair (made by them), which was amazingly delicious. Do not hesitate to give them a try, you won't regret it. I sure don't.

Great coffee and meeting place. The sandwiches are big, the omelettes are great as well as the Benedict. The croissants are big and flaky and warm. The outside patio is shady and comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The only drawback is you cannot order at the table. Besides that, Its super!

Delicious cafe, very nice service and beautiful classic place. The place is lovely with wood panels and brass accents. The cafe cortado is served in a small preserved fruit jar, deliciously foamy and a straw allow you to navigate through the layers of your drink. The service is very attentive and make you feel at home. A pleasant place to spend a bit of time off the heat of Miami's sun.

Really dont understand the hype. The food took forever and I received the saddest excuse for steak and eggs possible. I had to walk to the counter to ask for more water after being dry for minutes, and they pointed to a pitcher which upon my arrival had a fly in it. Worst experience ever.

I absolutely Love this Cozy Cafe.!! My first impression as I entered for the first time was that of being transported to this Cafe I had visited many years ago in Europe. The staff greeted us as if we had just been there the day before which caught me a little off guard and thought that they had confused me with another patron. No, it was genuine and seems to be part of the culture and familial Ambiance of their Cafe. The service is A+, the Staff is sweetly courteous and if Demetrio himself happens to be there, he bends over backwards to make you feel like family. I have returned several times and have had their soup and croissant sandwiches which are always delicately delicious! The menu includes light meals as well as more hardy full meals like fish, chicken and pastas. Everything looks deliciously tempting right down to their coffees and deserts. I can never leave without finishing off my meal with their signature Cappuccino served with the loving ambiance that I experience each time I visit!❤

The breakfast is fantastic. There's a reason this place is always crowded in the mornings. Their signature coffee with the mocha and without it is also superb - it completely hit the spot for me needing no sugar. The spicy tomato sauce with the omelette was great because I also like tomatoes. Their sauce was tangy and felt like a derivative of bottled salsa which i hope it was not for the prices I paid. The decor is vintage and you can spend a good 30 minutes pouring through items in all the rooms.

Love this place. Very zen and pretty to look at. One of my favorite sandwich places. Soup is homemade and super yummy, it's a great way to get my vegetables servings for the day with their pumpkin puree soups. Desserts are even better, my favorite is the napoleon but they are all good. Italian hero or smoked salmon sandwiches are my favorites... Update... The sandwiches have changed to thick slices which are saltier and more commercial... Dropped this place from my favorite list.

One of the very first places I visited when I arrived in coral gables. Definitely a stable in the community, they have good coffee and cakes and such. Friendly staff. Easily the best breakfast I’ve had in the Gables, and what better than an indie cafe to create it? Corpulent waffles are cooked to perfection with lush fruits and fresh aromatic coffee. The eggs Benedict are also a notable specialty. Again, this is the sort of place that offers that sense of ease that might bring on an idea or two, so if you are in a hurry, try a fast casual place with a less crafty bent. Otherwise, you will most likely enjoy an eye opener or two here.

My favorite place in in the Gables, by far, to just hang out before or after dinner. The coffee is amazing and so are their desserts (they have sandwiches too, but I have to admit that I haven't tried them yet). Be sure to sit in the patio. So this place seems straight out of a story book. This is the last place we stopped at on our way back home. It was definitely a breath of fresh air from dealing with the crowded SOB restaurants. We ordered the Belgian waffles and the salmon omelette with a strawberry fresa and of course their famous drinks. They were all spectacular. Our waffles came out super late and they were very gracious and gave us 2 free Americano so it was still a great experience!

The best thing about this place was their Saturday's life music and poetry reading on Friday night, but unfortunately they are not longer open late. Coffee is good, food is over priced. Vary nice location and cute arquitecture.

An institution in the gables. Been there forever, and doing the quality coffee thing before it was hip. Great pastries. Great decor (old school classy french/Italian feel) with lots of wood Whit some beautiful antique brass and copper machines and antiques. The patio is nice too, if you can take the Miami heat - moderated by the shade trees and fans.
