We have the opinions of real people who are using the services and products of Notting Hill Coffee Roastery (Coffee Shop) in the state of Delaware.
At this moment the firm has a score of 4.3 stars out of 5 and the rating was based on 288 reviews.
As you can see it reaches an feddbacks average is really high, and it is based on a high number of reviews, so we may conclude that the score is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are happy, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to write tatings when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Coffee Shop corresponds to the category of Coffee shop.
My brother loves coffee. They have all kinds of gourmet flavors and blends of huge variety. I also got a BLT to go...and it was piled high with the fixings...I had to cut the sandwich in parts to get it all down.
Stopped in on a dreary Thursday morning. Cute little shop, lots of baked goods and coffee galore! None of the coffee by the pound has prices on it so that was frustrating. The place needs a good cleaning, but mostly they could use friendlier staff. The woman working the register really didn’t like her job and it showed in her demeanor.
Was in Lewes for my car service so went into Lewes for lunch. Quaint and historical place. Going back to see more and visit the beaches in the area.
Fun coffee and lunch place in Lewes, Delaware. Awesome bike trails, and this is a good lunch stop on the trails.
Love love love the quiche! The quaint cozy atmosphere and the creative coffee offerings!
Went for the pastries, sampled a few different ones, all which were delicious. Inside is a little cramped as others have mentioned. Staff seemed to rush to check us out a bit, but it was busy so it's understandable. The Ooey Gooey pastry is super good, it is like the middle part of a cinnabun in long form, definitely a sugar rush though.
Excellent coffee roaster. They send me coffee every month to my home in PA. And the pastries! Wow, try an Ooey Gooey! Not sure of the spelling but you need to have one of those for breakfast...
Great pastries, the best coffee. If mail order their coffee to my home.
Food and coffee here are so so good. The Nantucket wrap is to die for. But some of the staff are extremely rude and short tempered.
Had a coffee here- skinny latte. It was an okay coffee. Service was fast and efficient. They had many, numerous varities to choose from. A great selection of beans to take home.
Fresh roasted coffee, delicious sweets and sandwiches and very friendly employees
This place smells amazing. The cafe mocha was yummy. They ship coffee.
Nice location and an interesting place. Yet the coffee you buy on the premises is very very weak. I tried different types - think they need to make it much stronger☹️
My boyfriend and I are what you call "coffee snobs" XD. When traveling through Lewes, we definitely wanted to try something local (also love to support local businesses). Notting Hill was PERFECT! Small, sweet, and what looks like a local hot spot. Have stopped there multiple times when traveling along the coast. I will say they have a very LARGE selection of coffee flavors to chose from, which is a bit overwhelming. I took home the "Cookies and Cream" flavor and am already half-way through the bag!!!!!! We will be back soon!
Styrofoam cups for a small Americano seems like what you'd get for a dollar in a cheap gas station, not what cost 2.75 here. The place is small with few tables. The server was pretty abrupt, once she got off the phone.
My go to place in Lewes for great coffee drinks and those ever so tasty treats behind the glass.
Great selection of coffees that can't be found in big stores
Great little coffee destination. Cozy feel, great options.
Cozy
Very good coffee! And you have to try their ape oak "Ooey Gooey"
One of my most favorite Coffee shops on the east coast!
The lady at the cash register was extremely impatient and rude. Spent $30 on two breakfast sandwiches that were half filled on one side and two drinks.
Great pasties, great coffee.
Best place to drink a cup of coffee with some cookies
Some of the best coffee and pastries you will find in the area. Enjoy a local small business. Chocolate chip scone was delicious!
Great coffee and pastry, make sure you try the ooey gooey stick!
Great coffee and very helpful staff.
Tried their frozen mocha and frozen hot chocolate and was not impressed. If you want a frozen mocha, go to Starbucks or McDonald's.
Staff were nice but they need to have more people making coffee... The line was long and so was the wait
This place is AMAZING!!! I was really impressed with the affordable prices, even for the specialty drinks. The pastries were creative and delicious, but what impressed me most was the SERVICE! Im clearly not a Lewes "usual" yet I still got incredible, personalized service with a smile! Thanks so much!?!
This place can get very busy but I've never been dissatisfied with them.
A good place for coffee but the staff, including the owner, are so nasty. Maybe they had a busy summer and are tired.
Good coffee and pastries but a bit pricey.
I walked in and the smell was wonderful. The wait, however, was long. There was a bit of a line, and just to get to the front it took about 15 minutes. One lady behind the counter was sweet, apologizing for the wait. The other one seemed a little grumpy. Tried the Erin Go Brew... It wasn't all that great. I was honestly a little disappointed. The bathroom is nice and clean, but definitely not wheelchair accessible.
Always really busy when I come to visit. Huge selection of flavored coffee (including decaf) to take home!
I ordered a small cafe au lait and received a minuscule styrofoam cup, had to pour my own coffee and then they added steamed milk for me... for $3.10
Great local coffee shop with the most fantastic pastries..... you can buy coffee beans and grind them at home or they will grind them for you..
Friendly service, a little cramped inside but cute. Delicious coffee and really good sticky bun. Took some dark roast home. They also have tons of flavored coffee. Definitely recommend this place!
Once a very nice coffee shop. As of late it appears a bit inefficient and not very well run.
Wide variety of coffee pastries as well as other soups and sandwich type items. Surprisingly slow service and lack luster coffee. More hype than it is worth unless your just looking for any cup of average to slightly above coffee.
Delicious bake goods.
Busy! But seeing as how it was Labor Day weekend, these guys and gals know how to get things done. I'll patronize them again for sure!
I don't drink coffee regularly but they do have a selection of teas and other drinks. The pastries always look and smell amazing not to mention the smell of roasting coffee. On two different days I went with my mother the same girl was working at the counter. The second time some 2 days after the first visit my mother was asking what coffee was made two days before, the girls in the back found the coffee she was going for (they have a rotating selection of flavored coffee) and ground it for her. My sister also got a chai latte from a packet, which she really enjoyed.
I can't express how much I love this place. Not once have I had a bad cup of coffee or breakfast sandwich or interaction with the people that work there. This is truly a special place that we have to visit every time we vacation in Lewes. The baked goods are fantastic and they even have gluten free options. The variety of coffee served and sold is quite enjoyable and I like the way they mix it up each time. Again, I can't express how much I love this place and I hope to keep getting coffee here when we visit.
If you stay in Delaware and haven't yet visited Notting Hill Coffee Roastery - you are missing out on really good coffee. As a coffee enthusiast, I drove almost 2 hours to get to this place but I did call ahead to make sure that they had what I wanted in stock - the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe and Tanzanian Peaberry. Also, they grind any coffee bean you choose to buy - and that's the best part! You can also get them ground based on the way you prepare your coffee - for a french press, for drip or flat base. This is my first real foray into exotic coffee and it's been wonderful so far! Also, it won't be fair to not mention the sticky bun - and yes, it's as good as they say. Will definitely be back !
Incredible selection of coffees and teas including fair trade beans and loose teas. They also have a bakery stocked with fresh delicious and decadent goodies.
Enjoyed a cup of the coffee of the day. Almost too many beans to choose from.
Coffee etc brilliant. However the staff could benefit with training in customer service, on how to speak to the customers in a nice friendly manner! We found them very abrupt!
Love it
Great coffee and baked goods! Nice, cute and clean cafe!
Friendly employees EXCELLENT COFFEE I also purchased a bag of Sea Salt Caramel Mocha this is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS
Cozy, but alot of flies inside
The best pastries I've ever had , honestly get a different one every time and they always are so tasty thank you
Nice baked goods and coffee spot. Great stop on a bike ride.
The coffee is good, the food is ok (the danish are a bit dry) but they are BUSY. I understand why, especially as we went during the busy tourist season. They also sell fresh roasted flavored coffee which is amazing. My only complaint was that there were so many to choose from, and I was unable to buy them all! They sell them in full bean, but they will also grind them for you, and they do ask what kind of coffee maker you plan to use, so they can grind them to the right size. Very nice!
Love their Crossaints and baked goods, coffee is also very good although some things are overpriced. Have been coming here through the years, and the staff is always very unflriendly and downright rude at times.
Huge selection of coffee, pleasant atmosphere
The ooeey goeey is so good!
Great coffee roaster
Notting Hill is a quaint little coffee shop with a large variety of flavored coffee as well as a collection of excellent coffees from around the world. They also boast a variety of breakfast treats and delicious croissant sandwiches. The only knock that I have is the small size of the location.
Excellent store. Service is excellent. Can buy ground or plain coffee beans.
This place is my favorite coffee shop on the whole east coast. The service is always friendly and the coffee is always fresh, I look forward to visiting every time I come to Lewes
Quaint little cafe. Delicious food, amazing pastries, croissants as big as your head.... I highly recommend it! Seating is incredibly limited though. Perfect place to relax. Also lots of coffee and loose leaf tea for sale.. I could go on and on, but don't listen to me go there and find out for yourself. Oh and they have the a massive assortment of hot chocolate flavors!!
The pastries are phenomenal and the coffee is delicious
Terrible cappuccino, stale croissants, people hogging sests to work on laptops. No dates on bags of coffee.
This is my first time stopping in i saw it across from the bank. And I thought hey might as well get some coffee. So I came in and the coffee was amazing I hate getting coffee at most places because most of the time it's over powered or to weak. But there coffee was wonderful. Had some pretty amazing pastries too I had a dark chocolate drizzle puff pastry with black cherry in the middle. Pretty awesome!!!
Great coffee. Roasted in house.
Great pastry, great coffee, friendly service.
Great coffee, brewed flavors are very good. Pastries looked awesome, although the egg sandwich I had wasn't anything spectacular. (Not that it needed to be) very friendly service as well.
Great coffee. One of the only leaves caring mlesna
We love stopping by for coffee and pastries :)
Great service and ambiance but mediocre coffee
I love every aspect of this great bakery and coffee shop. Amy is awesome.
Never visited, it was closed when we got there, no posted closing hours, only "open 7am." Nothing in the web either. We wouldn't have driven out if our way while traveling if we would have known...
Love this place, great Service and food! Its really worth the wait
Best little coffee shop in Lewes
Delaware's premier bakery and coffee shop. Best in the state.
Meh
Great place.
Great accurate service. Very friendly atmosphere behind the counter and in the seating area. Great selections of teas & coffee beans( which the will grind for you) as well as pastries, sandwiches and wraps. Very nice! It's one of my favorite places my wife and I enjoy getting our fresh coffee beans from!
Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Bought pastries for the hospital and they cut them up for us so the staff could sample everything. Sticky Fingers and ooey gooeys Yum yum!
Love it here. Great food and coffee!
My wife, Peggy, and I spent time in Delaware this summer. We enjoyed breakfast here every morning. The food was only surpassed by the friendly staff and delicious coffee. The coffee was so good, we just had to purchase some for home. Now, we learn that we can enjoy this coffee by purchasing on line. Life is GREAT. Don't miss this experience in Lewes.
Fun cute historic coffee shop in Lewes Deleware. Very friendly and helpful staff. Coffee was truly amazing!
Need more non dairy options
Love the Deep Dark Mocha Latte and the sticky buns the most but everything I've had has been very good.
Quaint. Small but homey. Coffee is fantastic. Croissants are fabulous! Very nice staff.
Good coffee. Not very good customer service...the barista had a bit of an attitude with the other barista and with our group.
Ordered 2 cappuccinos, they were an atrocious, foamy mess. Smallest size is 10oz for a cappuccino, and tasted as if they used only a double shot for the 10oz drink, on top of that the taste was bad, either coffee or milk, not sure. Gave two stars because the fruit smoothie was good. Won’t be returning.
I don't normally drink coffee, and I needed a pick me up on a hot afternoon stroll, so I stopped in. The workers were friendly and helpful in suggesting a refreshing coffee drink for me. I settled on an iced house blend with vanilla syrup. I love that they kept real, fresh milk in the fridge to add to my drink the way I wanted it. It was perfect. Then I decided to get an Ooey Gooey, and I was so glad I did! The texture of the pastry was reminiscent of the delicious breakfast pastries I enjoyed in grad school in Spain. The cinnamon/sugar sauce really make it a treat. I think everyone should enjoy a stop in at Notting Hill!
Friendly service, delicious coffee and sandwiches. Beautiful handmade baked goods and tons of flavored coffees for sale. Worth the wait if the line is out the door!
Great coffee. Interesting personalities. Located in an alley where you can sit and relax with your coffee outside.
Super busy, had to wait 25 to buy some whole beans. Cashier was rude since I was paying with debt card under 10.00$, too small and crowded. Mostly dark roasted beans and candy flavored abominations. Not impressed.
Good coffee. The owey goowey is the best! Need more seats and seating outside.
Good coffee and steamed milk oatmeal. . Need to control the flies inside.
Pastry great, coffee weak, very unhappy about the coffee, sandwich barely had any egg salad on it
Great coffee all flavors are good
Best coffee in Lewes with a broad selection of international coffees. Home made baked goods are also quite delicious
Came here to get breakfast, and it was a really cool looking place with great food, if you want a great breakfast and you want to take home some delicious pastries too, this is the place to go. Definitely coming again next time I vist Lewes. (Btw, staff if you see this post, thanks for the food it was really good
Cozy little coffee shop with a friendly vibe. They've got a wall full of coffee for sale, in every flavor you could dream up. For your sweet tooth, there's a plethora of baked delights to satisfy your hungry belly.
First off I'd like to say that I am not one to give negative reviews. But, my time at Notting Hill Coffee Roastery was very unpleasant due to the people behind the counter. I am a local from Bethany beach and have visited Lewes many times, but this was my first time trying Notting Hill. My family ordered a muffin, latte, green tea, a caesar wrap and everything was delicious! While ordering a caesar wrap and I specifically asked what kind of lettuce is used in the wrap due to the recent recall on romaine, the older woman behind the cash register acted as if it were a chore to go and ask what kind of lettuce was being used, rolling her eyes and exhaling loudly, basically showing what an annoyance I was. I couldn't get a straight answer and was continually told green lettuce.... There are so many types of green lettuce so why couldn't she have just told me the specific kind, it should say it on the label. Next, I ordered a green tea and I didn't realize that the tea was self-serve. So, I waited for my hot water and started to search for the green tea bags only to find out there are none and that they need to hand bag it themselves. Again, the older woman came over and huffed and puffed that I dare to ask a question or be slightly confused. Once I picked a green tea another young person behind the counter literally yelled at me that it would be an up-charge. I have absolutely no problem paying for what I ask for, but would it be possible to do it in a more polite way. Lastly, I am not condemning this place on its product because their product is really good! I also recognize that people have off days and maybe the older woman was dealing with some type of personal problem. I will visit again and I will update this review.
Great coffee selection and pasteries. Friendly people.
Fair
Really nice place to slow down and enjoy outstanding pastry with a good cup of coffee!
The coffee and teas are great as are the baked goods which is why the line sometimes streatches out the door.
Great place for fresh roasted coffee in so many ibteresting flavors. Yummy coffee & tea drinks made to order along with homemade sweet treats! Any & her staff rock!
Great selection of coffees. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.
They're the best! I'm in northern Delaware and I still get all my coffee from Lewes Bake Shoppe. Once you have it you can't go back.
Place is super tiny, but still great. Food is good, and their own baked creation: Ooey Gooey is absolutely fantastic. I recommend ordering it the day before, as they often run out of them at some point in the morning, and once they're out for the day, that's it.
I love this cafe. The best tea, coffee, AND TREATS
We love this place. Coffee and pastry or great lunch menu. Great friendly service and food.
While the coffee was decent and had a large selection, our breakfast eggs were so overdone that they were inedible.
Great place, excellent service.
Great coffee and fantastic service. Nick (might have been Nicholas?) was very patient with me when explaining menu items. I'll definitely be coming back
A wonderful little (dog-friendly) coffee shop with a great atmosphere, huge selection of flavored coffee beans, & delicious pastries. The staff was friendly and quick even with a line forming out the door. Note this place is tiny. So tiny it was hotter inside than outside (75°). Seating is sporadic, especially tight with a stroller and no clearly marked restrooms. Lastly, my iced latte was a little on the weak side for a large. These are minor gripes. This place is lovely.
We watched the owner/manager.. I'm not quite sure what she was yell and belittle her younger employees. Seemed like an awful place to work and we will never be back. Had already order the coffee so we tried it which lacked flavor. Seems to pair well with the atmosphere of the shop however.
Overpriced for quality. Large bean sacks and other objects reduce sitting space. Polystyrene cups!? C'mon. Environmentally wrong choice.
One of my favorites when I come to town, great food, awesome baked goods and terrific coffee! Everyone's so nice!
Tasty! We stopped in for pastries and drinks and it was delicious, as always. My daughter loved her seashell pastry filled with nutella and the strudel my son ordered was tasty as well. We tried the iced vanilla chai and the pineapple Italian soda. Delicious! I love Italian soda and now my kids do too. Next time we might try the lavender flavor... :)
Stay away from the frozen lemonade which is made fresh from the reallemon (tmi) bottle. Not worth $6.
best coffee I've ever had! and I love the loose leaf tea section!
Love this coffee!!!
Good coffee and great, unique amazing pastries. I wasn’t impressed with the egg sandwich which was a bit pricey and was made from either an egg mix or frozen eg patties (not sure it not fresh cracked and cooked eggs). The place is small and crowded as it’s very popular. Worth a visit for the pastries.
Incredible selection of coffee available in both bean and ground form. Also have at least 6 varieties brewed already available. Large selection of fresh pastries available as well
I stop here every time I come to Lewes. The sign says "Lewes Bake Shoppe" though, which is slightly confusing, but it's still the one of the best places for coffee and pastries in Lewes! We bought croissants last time and made sandwiches with them--AMAZING! You can also buy their coffee, ground or whole beans, and loose tea. Prices aren't bad, either.
Went there today to try this place out. Unfortunately, the three women at the front were all extremely rude. Also, expect high prices for their food. Sticky buns were 4 dollars each (very small)! Same with sandwhich and wrap. Both cost close to 17 bucks and barely filled us up. Small store - not good if you are claustrophobic; lucky to find a seat to sit and eat or enjoy your coffee. Will likely not be coming back here and will recommend other, more friendly bakery/cafe options to family and friends. Eric
Mind blowing selection of tantilizing coffeehouse classics here. The sticky buns will rock your world. Long wait at times.
I drive three hours yearly to stock up on their Holiday blend. Great staff and wonderful coffee.
The coffee here is excellent and I have been routinely coming to Notting Hill for the past few years. I even got my parents addicted. A couple of times per year I even order from them online and get the coffee shipped to my home. Yet, my most recent visit this week was not a positive one. I came with my wife and young son, and we purchased roughly $120 worth of coffee. The staff was incredibly rude; constantly pushing us to make a decision when there was only one other patron in the shop. Plus, the person who rang us up did not know what she was doing. Sadly, I will have to think twice next time before entering this Lewes coffee shop.
Expensive and disorganized. I asked for a cold coffee and got a 1/4 cup of hot coffee.
I’ve been here twice and both times I was unimpressed with their coffee. They all taste very similar and I question the freshness.
It's a bit crowded outside and there is no water inside. The food I got was pretty good.
Super baked goods!
The seductive baking aromas floating out into the streets at 5am almost knocked me off my bicycle...... Great local spot!
Coffee is great! But the customer service is horrible. The staff is completely rude and unprofessional.
Notting Hill Coffee Roastery is a wonderful, quaint local Cafe on Second Street downtown Lewes. I have eaten there a handful of times now and the food is always delicious and fresh, especially the featured soups! They also have a great selection of quality coffees and teas. A must visit!
Amazing staff!! Delicious coffee and quiche. Very busy place, but they keep it moving gracefully.
The coffee and food are great. Staff is friendly and nice atmosphere.
Love their coffee so much I have it shipped to me in SC!!!
Very overpriced. The menu was not clearly displayed.
Great coffee and pastries!
Great variety of coffee.
The coffee today was fine, but the staff hate their jobs! I'm sorry you guys are not into the customer relations bit. But, in your industry it is a requirement. So figure out how to be charming and supportive.
Service was slow and coffee was not exactly what I ordered.
Independently owned and operated. The roast all their own coffee. The best place in Lewes and worth the wait. Go early to avoid longer lines. Coffee is good and so are baked goods!
Great fresh food and coffee! Happy and friendly staff!
Love this little coffee shop. I have only visited once, but loved their Earl Grey loose tea so much that I order a pound every few months. They fill the order quickly, tea is always fresh when it arrives in vacuum packed bags, and customer service is fabulous. I highly recommend!
Always a pleasant stop on a trip on 2nd street. Great bakery, sandwiches and coffee. My husband loves the hot chocolate
This is a fabulous place to get coffee and pastries!! Love it here!!
Coffee is excellent. Place does get full, so plan on some wait. They have a large selection of bagged coffee to take home at reasonable prices.
It's good morning. Coffee shop
Good coffee and pastries.
Customer service was horrible
Absolutely amazing pastries and tasty coffee. Highly recommend after a long bike ride.
First visit for lunch. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Is on our place-to-go for casual lunch.
I love getting coffee here to make at home! Really nice place.
The smell is heavenly when you walk into the bakery and drinks and pastries are excellent. I went there while on a bike trip and happy I stopped there.
Good food and drinks but a little pricey for the quality
