REVIEWS OF Little Goat Coffee Roasting Co. IN Delaware

Olivia Sutton

Wonderful spot, I love that they kept some of the elements of the skateboard shop that was there before. The lattes are my go to every time I come in and of course get some CBD in it. Fair prices. Could use some more indoor seating though!

M V

This coffee shop is great. It's one of the few in the area that roasts in-house, paying close attention to the flavors of the beans and the art of brewing coffee. Staff are always polite and timely in preparing orders, and I have never been disappointed! Plenty of indoor and outdoor space also to work. There are many outfits anymore that try to dress up coffee too much with flavoring, adding it to frappucinos, etc. If you desire to sip on a cup of coffee with complex, natural flavors from the beans, this is your place.

Larissa Guilford

a really nice menu selection and fast and friendly service. the interior decoration is fantastic

Ricky

Felix Smith

One of the best spots in Delaware

Frank Mayer

Great new coffee shop in Newark and perhaps Newark's only coffee roaster. The staff is friendly and it is located on Haines Street in the building that formerly housed the Switch skate shop. The new occupants have completely remodeled the interior and added a large deck outside which will presumably provide plenty of space for outdoor seating when the weather improves in the Spring. The brewed coffee is excellent and pour overs and French press's for two are also available.

Taylor Cunningham

Staff was friendly and the coffee was great. Parking is a little difficult but not too bad.

Jose Bestman

Updating my review: I absolutely love the guys and gals here at Little Goat! I was mistaken on my original review and just wanted to admit my misunderstanding and give props to you guys! Coffee here is amazing and locally roasted! Doesn't get any better than that!

Darshil Patel

Worst coffee I have ever had. Given such high reviews, I tried this place out but I was very disappointed.

Dani Sanchez Carretero

No other coffee compares to their coffee.

B L

Nice place, good coffee, friendly service. I will be returning here when i am in the area.

Mike K.

It's nice to have local coffee roasters in the area. My wife and I bought a bag of whole bean coffee to take home, and a couple of cold brews on a hot summer day. The older I get, the more I appreciate a quality cup of coffee. Little Goat is quality and I will be coming back to get some more of that sweet sweet java when I'm in the area.

Fatemeh Izaditame

Such a cozy environment. I like it.

Lawrence Motyka

Local shop roasting coffee on-site. Get a cup of coffee and beans to go.

The best lattes anywhere. Much better than the big chain on the same street. The staff are excellent and always make you feel at home.

Matthew Cohen

Best coffee in Newark!

Shaun Farrugia

I'm visiting Newark over Thanksgiving and was handed a note telling me about Little Goat Coffee Roasting Co. It's great that Newark has a third wave coffee shop in the town now. I hope that people realize that this place has way better coffee than Starbucks. Give the espresso a try. Olivia is friendly and will talk to you about coffee.

ADrunken Ewok

Their coffee is fantastic and service is even better!

Robert Witt

This is a nifty little place, in an old home, on a side street. The coffee is nicely-roasted, and the service is amiable and intelligent. I had a cup of the Ethiopian, which had wonderful berry notes. I will be there tomorrow morning, to get a "fix".

Zsuzsi Keszthelyi

Best coffee house in town. Lovely ambiance and staff. Own brewed coffee.

Brian O'Dell

Great artisan coffee. Laid back atmosphere. Perfect place!

I still think about this place often, even with all the coffee options I have here in Dallas. This place had it all: good coffee, good people, and a unique environment.

Robert R. Odle

Great coffee, atmosphere and service.

Jennifer Leach

Little Goat is our go-to spot to stop on our way up 95. They make an excellent cup of coffee, and their decaf roast is good and full. It's a fun spot, and the people are nice, besides.

L Moore

Rob Lennon

I got a vanilla latte, was pleasantly surprised I'll be coming back again

Julian Scopatz

I've had a hard time finding good coffee in Newark but Little Goat is perfect. They sell their beans to local grocers, and their store off of Main Street is awesome. The staff there is very friendly. The shop is split in half, one area is seating and ordering, while the other area is where they roast the beans. The coffee is always amazing and delicious. Definitely would recommend to everyone, and support the local business.

Aris

Awesome little coffee roastery. Cool and friendly staff and a chill vibe. Great place to grab some great coffee and catch up with a friend.

Angi Whelan

Very flavorful vanilla chia, great employees and mellow, relaxed atmosphere

A Mer

Love their dark roasts.

Laird Cummings

Little Goat Coffee Roasting Company is a classic small-town coffee shop; specializing in high-quality authentic coffee and related beverages. You won't find over-sweetened mass-produced 'coffee' here. Instead, you'll find the Real Deal; Coffee as it was intended to be before corporate chains got their hands on it. Beware; This is not coffee as American has been fooled into drinking. It's real, and really different from all that other stuff - it's goooood.

Tijjeroo Woopdidoo

Best traditional brewed coffee I've ever had. You can seriously taste the quality of the coffee beans, and the differences that come from individual origins. It was almost like my taste buds were transported across the world. Seriously was amazing. Especially if you legitimately enjoy the subtle tastes of coffee, and don't cover it up with sugar, or extreme amounts of dairy. Get the Pour Over to order for the best experience, and you can pick one of the single origin beans that they have in stock, which they have nice descriptions of at the counter. I haven't tried any of their espresso drinks, but considering how amazed I was by the drip coffee, I'm sure it's good.

Erin Sparks

Love love love this place. Their basic coffee is delightful, but their lattes are my go-to. The current selection of Smoked Salted Maple Latte is amazing. The baristas are awesome and Jordan and Sean make the best lattes. Try it! You'll love it.

Sam Poat

Best coffee shop in Newark! The Ethiopian I had was excellent. Starbucks pales in comparison to this cafe. Not a ton of seating indoors but still a nice place to hang out. The roast their own coffee right in the store which is a huge plus to getting fresh coffees.

Michael Sedor

Super friendly, great coffee, hidden goats, wonderful!

Natasha S

Not a lot of seating but my beverage was tasty!

Eric Gottlieb

Fantastic coffee and everyone is very friendly. Has a pleasant small town feel too

Matthew Pappa

My favorite place to get coffee. It's a cozy place to sit and drink a cup on the weekends.

Caleb Davis

great coffee, best coffee beans, friendly people

Jari Santana-Wynn

Their house chai is delicious!

Bob Cirino

This is a great addition to the Newark coffee scene. Great atmosphere, really good coffee roasted in-house, and quite friendly staff.

Frank Oranzi

Hands down the best coffee I have ever had. The owner truly cares about good coffee. Rather than other chain shops that care about their image and profits. I buy the coffee by the five pound bag it's so good. I even take it when I travel. I'd sooner drink warm mud than choke down the garbage Starbucks calls coffee. It's Little Goat Coffee Roasting or nothing. If you've ever had Illy brand it's like a much better version of that. Seriously. It's the best coffee you will ever have.

Bobby Graham

Some of the best coffee around. Great lettuce place with fresh beans ready to go

Andrea W

Friendly place , fresh coffee a half block in from main street . Have been there twice

Christine Scheirer Mangat

Coffee is amazing and super friendly staff. Not the best place to do work (like phone calls) but otherwise a great atmosphere!

Maddie K

Delicious coffee roasted in house! The staff are really friendly and you get a discount for bringing your own reusable mug holla. Drink local, this place is cuter than Starbucks anyway.

Lindsay Cummings

Interesting and delicious drinks

Jamie Magee

A coffee enthusiasts' shop, and the only coffee roasting operation in Newark. Little Goat roasts and brews the best coffee with friendly and extremely knowledgeable service. And it has a great community feel, too, with lots of local collaborations.

Matt English

Excellent coffee as well as wonderful service. It is located in an old house so you will definitely feel at home.

Jeff P

Good coffee and great vibe. Santana on the play list is better than elevator type music found elsewhere.

Merle Doughten

Very busy Sunday morning, but they handled the line very well. Great service, the gentleman took the time to answered a couple questions for us non coffee shop people which is greatly appreciated knowing how busy they were. We were so pleased we came back after lunch and grabbed 2 bags for gifts. We will definitely be back!!

Shakhlo _N

John Whisler

Best roast around.

Robby Stefanisko

Best coffee in Newark. Great staff.

Philip Gurgel

Awesome coffee shop! Very tasty coffee. Far superior to Starbucks.

kathryn jones

Absolutely the best-tasting coffee in Newark (or anywhere around). We drive from out of town just to buy the beans, but the locally-owned shop is so welcoming that it begs one to linger. Beans are roasted onsite which fills the cozy shop with a delightful aroma. Next time, I plan to try the matcha tea which I've heard is terrific. Newark now has its own coffee-brand, not available anywhere else, and it's worth supporting.

Victoria Cox

If you want to pay 6.50 for a cup of coffee this is the place to do it! I had almond milk with was very foamy but delicious.

Jennifer Myers

An essential community hub filled with craft coffee and friendly faces. A Newark icon in the making. Support local business to help your neighbors thrive!

Betty Malone

The food is great, and the atmosphere is relaxing.

Mike Manfredi

One of those places that *really* knows how to make an espresso. Cool, knowledgeable folks. And tasty, gluten free treats.

Taylor Graham

The GOAT of local coffee roasters.

Sylvia Vela

Coffee was decent- service was OK but a small 12oz iced latte (AM) is 5 dollars.. pretty bold when you're down the street from Starbucks.

David Buckingham

Fantastic espresso and coffee. I wish they were there when I went to UD.

Joshua Cross

Fantastic coffee , great vibe inside

Zach C

The quintessential coffee shop that every town needs. Since they've opened, there hasn't been many weeks that I haven't went in and purchased a cup. Their roasts are great as well, my favorite is their Brazil (medium) roast. They also have a fantastic cold brew that goes perfectly with their vanilla flavoring syrup.

Tyler Walker

Hands down the best coffee in Newark. Can't beat the freshness of roasted 10ft from the counter. Great atmosphere and even better staff.

Jin Tak

New favorite coffee shop. They focus on coffee and do it right.

Colleen Leithren

Very fresh coffee. Staff and owners knowledgeable and friendly.

Samantha Stauffer

Great coffee and friendly service. I especially enjoy their specialty drink "Lil Coco Loco"

Corey Fields

A small business startup with fantastic coffee and staff. Chic shop with lots of character where they roast their own beans. All fair trade and organic. Popular with both the college crowd and people who work in the area. Very little indoor seating.

Jeffrey Marvin

Best third wave coffee spot in the area.

andrea bonney gould

Brandy Kozloski

So good. . I moved to Austin and this is the only thing I miss about Delaware.

Colin Eldred

Probably the best coffee shop I have ever found. Coffee is amazing. Staff is fantastic. Atmosphere is just what you want in a coffee shop.

Brian Bulkowski

I have been in all the nice little independent coffee shops in Newark, it is a decent scene. Little Goat came in 2017, and they are serious about coffee. Sure, it is cute and comfortable, but the top planned closer to campus are too. Little Goats add is the quality of coffee. They are not stridently third wave, not stumptown, but the coffee has serious soul and depth. Just get an espresso, you don't have to fancy it up with milk and syrup.

Morgan McRay

Great local place

Kit Ramsey

Absolutely slaps, best coffee around

Abdullah Almalki

A cute little cafe in the heart of Newark. Wonderful coffee, wonderful staff and Charming and cozy inside! It's a perfect spot to join friends or get some work done. Couches to sit and chat, and lovely house roasted coffee! They know what the are doing here, whether you are getting a specialty drink or buying beans to enjoy at home! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable to help you find what suits you!!

Vincent D'Amico

Friendly service and the best coffee in Newark. Proprietors Olivia and Joe are available and knowledgeable. Great to have our own coffee roasted in town! All the coffee and coffee-related drinks are on point but I especially like the mocha - not too sweet, just perfect. If you are a serious coffee person have a shot of espresso; they've got a very good blend that they've developed for it and the baristas know how to pull.

Jacob Hinson

Awesome customer service, fantastic coffee, good vibes

Debra Berke

Great coffee, great service. Love the name and logo!

Alicia Luciano

Everyone who works here is not only friendly, but super knowledgeable about the product. The place has a palpable vibe that suits just about everyone

Gerald Har

The brewed coffee and cold brew was really nice; but ironically, the pour-over was not as great as I expected. In any case, enjoy the ambience and the feel of the shop!

Barbara Anklam

Shelly Silva

Sean makes a great cortado and is an amazing barista! Very friendly staff and love the vibe of this place

Joshua Olney Zide

Good coffee, nice atmosphere, and friendly staff! Prices are not low, but they're not bad, either, if you compare apples to apples. Comparing good, freshly roasted coffee to Starbucks is not sensible.

Matt Mangat

You won't find better coffee then here. Friendly & knowledgeable staff and cozy atmosphere. They'll grind beans for you based on your brewing method.

Heidi Hoistad

Great coffee and great atmosphere! Best coffee in Newark hands down!

Sujith Nair

Mac Curry

Really good coffee with all organic ingredients at a reasonable price.

Forrest Nowland

By far the best coffee in the area. Wish they sold beans closer to Hockessin but worth the drive.

Tim Alexander

Best coffee in the area. Great atmosphere, knowledgeable/friendly staff and they roast the beans in house. This is definitely a place to stop and get a cup from if you're coming through the area. Truly a jewel in Newark.

D Spiot

Awesome people & delicious coffee

Kevin Quinlan

Great new coffee place, I have bought many bags of coffee beans from them since they opened. A great new addition to the area. High quality well roasted beans, and a cool little coffee shop. Only thing I would like to see added is a roasted on date on the bags ;)

Cedric Jacob

Good, but really expensive

Jennifer Hill

I love the coffee at Little Goat. If you want to go local, they are a great alternative to corporate coffee. There is a small cozy seating area if you are meeting friends or colleagues. They also sell their own brand of coffee here and at my local farm co-op. Don't forget the free parking spaces behind the building!!

张玮芳

Hands down best coffee in this area. And the only place for some good coffee.

Selby Seador

Little Goat is the best! Their coffee is amazing and they have some really cool drinks. The honey latte is one of my faves! Super cozy atmosphere as well, so it's a nice place to study or read while drinking a coffee, tea or espresso.

Chris Thompson

Great locally/family owned and operated coffee shop/roaster. Fair trade and single point origin offerings with good espresso drinks/tea/small snacks. Interior is a bit small, but comfy and well decorated. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and you can watch and smell the beans roasting.

Nick Thompson

Really good coffee here, and the two guys working Thursday morning were super polite

Valerie Lane

By far my favorite coffee shop in Delaware- heck, all of the east coast!! Little Goat has high quality coffee that is roasted in-house, addicting speciality drinks, and one of a kind teas. The environment is cozy enough for a winter morning, or chill enough for a summer afternoon. On Saturdays, they have delicious “bites” like muffins and homemade savory tarts. The owners and staff are super friendly and they allow dogs! If you have not been here, you’re seriously missing out!!

Dakota Kelly

Without a doubt the best place to get coffee in Newark. Very friendly staff, and has a super cozy atmosphere that is great just to sit and enjoy. The coffee is delicious, and they sell bags for your machine at home. Staff is knowledgeable about coffee and loves to talk about it!

Christy Jeanne

Damn. Good. Coffee. Warm staff. Excellent outdoor seating (limited indoor). Very chill vibe, and I repeat: damn good coffee. Large, clean bathroom (if that matters to you). Highly recommend!

Joe Jacobs

Absolutely awesome beans! My new go to coffee roasters!

Jason Mitchell

Really wanted to try this place bc I'd heard about it from a friend, but it doesn't open till 7 on Saturday (every other day of the week it opens at 6) - this is how business is lost, especially to that huge multi-national coffee company that was the only coffee shop open at 630....

Bryan Baldwin

Best macchiato I have had in the area for a long time.

Nick Thompson

Really good coffee here, and the two guys working Thursday morning were super polite

Chris Connelly

Coffee is amazing. If you like Drip's then you'll like this stuff too.

Kevin Cameron

Always fantastic. Love Little Goat!

Jake Newman

The best coffee shop I have ever visited. Gourmet coffee, lovely staff, and a fantastic atmosphere. If you ever find yourself in the Newark area make sure to stop into Little Goat Coffee Roasting Co.

Adam Davey

Best coffee, great atmosphere, friendly folks, freshest beans in town. Love it

Kenneth Jones

If there is one place you must visit in Newark, DEL, then it is, undeniably, Little Goat Coffee Roasting. Simply put, there isn't a venue like it that is still standing, or has ever stood for that matter. Secluded just off Main Street, on Haines-- you can't miss this little gem and you won't soon forget it either. Little Goat roasts their own beans that they select and they do it with aplomb. That has nothing to do with bombs, but so to speak, they are the "bomb" when it comes to coffee, service and sanity! The folks at LGCR are family and you'll feel that when you pass through the threshold. I typically don't write reviews, but in the case of LGCR, this one just has to be shared. A day isn't complete without a visit to Little Goat!

Steve Da Cunha

Cozy quaint vibe with a great espresso selection. Lacking in breakfast options which is a bit of a bummer. Pretty limited seating if you're looking to hang out for a bit. Otherwise, quaint and pleasant with a nice staff.

Mark Hopkins

Nice little coffee shop just off Main Street. Several seating options inside and out. My cappuccino was excellent. Service was good. There are not many food options, just some very good cookies. Free WiFi and it was very popular with students.

gaia 3465

The staff is always friendly, the drinks are always delicious. They are also the go to coffee to have in my house...I even mail bags to my sister in Tucson because she absolutely loves their coffee!

Saajid King

Amazing coffee in a very cozy cafe. They roast their beans in store, and the whole place smells amazing!

Jackson B

Great cold brew

Burford Manning

Got ripped and walked in the employee entrance by accident, the owner was super cool about it and the coffee is always great

John Zeron

This is a really great Hidden Treasure of Newark. I had a great experience there. Not only do they brew the best coffee in town but they also roast it on site. It was very interesting seeing how the raw beans turned into nicely dark roasted beans.

Melissa Gregorio

Freshly roasted coffee and simple quality ingredients

Angel Ortiz

Best cup of coffee I've ever had

James Simpson

Delicious Fair Trade Organic Coffee that is roasted in house with a spectrum of roasts from Light to Dark. Lots of local friendly smiles from the staff. This is great addition to the local Newark Community. I will be back for sure.

Ernie Lundgren

There is no better coffee chemistry going on. Or real small business spirit than here. Get the Coco Loco or make cold brew w the plum blend.

Daniel Baruffi

What a great little spot! I always avoid the "S" word when I'm looking for actual good coffee. These guys don't burn the coffee beans during roasting, and they provide a great, cozy environment to get laptop with done, or just meet with friends. Plenty of plug-in spaces. Indoor and outdoor seating (when the season is appropriate). Super close to Main st action without feeling cluttered and crazy.

Isabella Weber

I'm not a coffee drinker by they have tea too. All my coffee drinker friends love the coffee. Great outdoor seating. Wish the indoor seating was more comfortable for reading/studying.

John Slack Jr

My favorite place for coffee in Newark. Small business owned and friendly atmosphere. Fantastic selection.

Michael Banbury

This wonderful little spot has fantastic coffee and very knowledgeable staff. It's a comfortable indoor sitting area or weather permitting a really nice outdoor porch. Right in the heart of the busy downtown Newark area, this coffee shop allows you to slow down and enjoy one of the great Pleasures in life.

Samantha Baranowski

Awesome lil gem right off main st. Nice change to the generic Starbucks and DD coffee I always drink. Hipster atmosphere, super cozy, they have an obvious passion for great coffee. My only complaint would be the screaming child they had running around the back, not very relaxing.

Kevin McCann

Best coffee, cute space, amazing people. Be here now.

Angel Ortiz

Amazing owner and definitely recommend coming here for some of the best coffee I've ever had

Marty Dekkers

The best coffee in town, period.

Deren Harper

In from out of town. Glad to find a quality coffee shop. Great service ... Espresso was balanced, bold but not bitter, subtle nutty finish.

Sam Chessman

Fresh roasted coffee is always good. Nice atmosphere, very friendly.

samet oynamis

Very good alternative for starbucks and nice place. And close to td bank

Austin Kuba

The best coffee place in town. By far.
