Food is always excellent and fresh, service is good. Worth a visit. I really enjoyed my antipasto chopped salad, eggplant parmigiana and spaghetti. Great sauce!

I feel really bad giving this restaurant lower reviews because the staff was incredibly nice but honestly the food was terrible. Portion sizes were small and I was hungry when I got up from lunch. I ordered the lunch size ziti (see pic) and salad and my friend ordered the lunch size spaghetti and meatballs and salad. There wasnt really dressing on the salad (also ceasar salad with no parm?) and both of our pasta sides were cold. Aside from the sauce tasted worse than a jar from a grocery store, the cold food was a major turn off. Our waitress was so sweet and the meal cost was cheap but I wouldn't go back. Sorry.

I LOVE this place! It's a "Pizza Joint" and if that's what you're looking for, you get that in spades. BUT- these guys know how to cook! I don't think I've had everything on the menu (I often can't seem to talk myself out of the "Pollo Alla Elizabeth [I hope I have that right]) but I've been impressed with every dish I've tried. This is a pretty small restaurant and I imagine some folks won't appreciate the fairly tight seating. Also, it's a few rungs down the "Fancy Restaurant" ladder, but it is awfully good for what it is. A final note: If you like calamari, if you like it but don't like its rubber quality, if you've never tried it or if you tried it but weren't exactly impressed with it elsewhere, TRY IT Here!! I've had calamari many places around the world including throughout Italy.... Theirs is BY FAR better than I've had anyplace else. ...and it's been that good every time! Again: I Love this place, I take out-of-town friends there and I recommend it to you.

Pizza is good. Under no circumstances should you purchase a pasta salad. It consists of undercooked pasta, week old lettuce, olive oil, a tablespoon of a tomato, an onion and there might possibly be some mozzarella cheese in it. It was $10.

Pizza person behind counter asked for my order. I asked for 1 slice of cheese pizza. Then, he took the slice put it in the oven and asked for ~2dollars for the slice. He took my cash and brought me change. Then he touched my slice of pizza as he removed it out of the oven. That is unsanitary to say the least buyer beware.

Café Verdi is terrific, its got great prices, and great food, its pizza is fantastic and its non pizza food items are also fantastic, I like it for dinner or for take out and I think the value is very impressive, its prices are extremely competitive. the staff is friendly and helpful and their wine selection is a good quality with reasonable prices.

Took a friend here to eat. Ordered personal pizza because they dont sell slices. Woman behind counter attempted to heat up a really old pizza. I stopped her before she could put it in oven and politely asked for a fresh pizza to be made. She gave us alot of attitude. Eye rolling and annoyed faces..ect. Very poor customer service. My friend said she should be working in the back doing dishes with an attitude like that. My friend wanted to leave immediately. So to get away from her negativity we went upstairs when pizza was ready. But then we were stopped at the top.of the steps by a woman who said we werent supposed to bring food to 2nd floor. And again my friend wanted to leave. Uncomfortable atmosphere. So best part evening was seeing my friend worst part was coming here to eat. Pizza tasted ok...

Don't be fooled by the sneeze guard and ran-down interior, this little lunch spot charges big league prices. Pizza by the slice? That'll be $6 for cheese and $9.50 for the combo. I ordered a bowl of soup for $6--it had about 50 calories in it, I could have been more satiated by a fun-sized snickers bar.

My wife and I eat at this place very often, and although the menu is standard fare, the quality of the food is excellent for the money. This is a very respectful business, in which the owner and his wife do their best to make their customers feel like you are eating at their home. They gave everyone in the restaurant a sample of their homemade Limon cello last Christmas. It was a friendly gesture to thank us for our patronage. This business has been at trolley square for years, and I thought it was pretty low class when the other higher-priced Italian restaurant opened up a few doors down.

Giving it one star is even too much. I just got 2 slices for lunch. Just about got done a slice and saw a piece of hair baked into the pizza. I almost threw up. I called expecting to maybe get a refund but instead they offer me 2 free slices next time I come in. I can assure you I will not be in again. Would love the $7.50 back that I spent on this disgusting meal.
