Very authentic little French walk up café. Croissants are to die for, but you have to get there early. The crepes are delicious as well. Very friendly workers always happy to see you.

Coffee was good but once i finally got my coffee, i had the choice of getting into a line 20 people deep to get a breakfast crepe or walk away. I opted to walk away since i actually wanted my coffee still hot during breakfast. Can't just get breakfast ordered together. Disappointing not to have been able to try the crepes but entire time i was drinking my coffee, the crepe line did not move.

As someone who has lived in Europe this past year and spent a lot of time sampling croissants from France, Belgium, Switzerland, and other countries with French inspired cuisines, I'd say this cafe is among the best I've tried. My family and I always look forward to our annual trip to the beach and a visit to Papillon. This place is a Rehoboth Beach gem.

Loved everything about it. Best croissants I ate since Yosemite! Had a super continental breakfast which included delicious cheese, and real orange marmalade. OJ and great coffee were included. Location - in a cute, pretty alley. Long line of waiting people shows how good it is. Will definitely visit again on returning to Rehoboth . Thanku!

My favorite little hidden gem! I have been coming to Rehoboth for 26 years. This place is amazing! On several occasions I have awakened to an unwavering desire for one of their crepes, and driven 2 1/2 hours to come have one. There’s always a line for a reason.

We have been coming here for as long as I remember. We love the crepes and croissants. We come here for a nice ham, egg, chesse, and tomoto crepe or a ham and cheese croissant. And then snack on a strawberry, nutella, and fresh whipped cream crepe or a creme brulee. Everything is tasty. Do expect long lines if you come at peak times.

I ordered a latte and ham and cheese crepe, both of which were delicious. It’s a cute place to eat and grab either a meal or pastries. Fair warning, there is no inside eating area. For hot days there are fans but if you can’t stand the heat I’d suggest taking it to go!

I got the ham, cheese, and tomato crepe which is pictured as well as an almond and chocolate croissant. By far the croissant was the better item. It was flaky and delicious with the right amount of chocolate filling and almond topping. The crepe was mediocre. The filing was cold and the ham and tomato came in such large pieces it made the crepe annoying to eat. I'd definitely just stick to the bakery goods on my next trip.

I hesitated to do 5 starts because of the cash only policy but.. my goodness! This was too delicious for anything less. Best croissants and crepes I've had outside of Paris. Croissants were flaky, buttery deliciousness. The egg, cheese and tomato crepe was perfect. The egg batter was thinly distributed on top of the crepe so that you got the perfect bite throughout. Will definitely be a go-to next time we visit.

Crepes are marvelous. Wide variety of sweet and savory crepes made on the spot in front of you. Have had several varieties of each. Recommend the thyme on savory crepes. Note, I've not visited the portion of the restaurant that doesn't make crepes (why would you?).

Cafe Pappillon - Great crepes. Savories are good, but their more desserty crepes are even better. I especially recommend the Brown Sugar, banana and sour cream one. It would be even better if they pan caramelized the bananas in butter, but I digress.

I have never been able to figure out how or why these croissants are so incredible. This is a MUST-try for anyone staying in Rehoboth; I look forward to it each year. I recommend the apricot (pictured here) and the almond. Definitely come early for the best selection (prior to 9:30AM).

A definite must for a tasty breakfast/brunch! I've only been visiting Rehobeth for two years now, but every time I'm here I stop by Cafe Papillon. Great options, great prices, something for everyone! The staff are super friendly and service is awesome. We even heard the staff chatting in French for the full crepe experience :) FYI - this place is a walkup with outdoor seating, and is CASH ONLY, just so you know!
