Quite literally some of the best coffee I have ever gotten. I recently tried Willoughby's for the first time, having grown sick of grocery store coffee. The ground coffee produced a lot of foam in my french press, meaning it's super fresh (I believe it's the release of CO2, but I am not certain). The flavor is amazing, great cup of coffee. If you are looking to make better coffee at home, do yourself a favor and get a bag of coffee from Willoughby's!

I’m not a regular at this location but have been in a few times recently and each time the staff’s had an attitude and has been rude. Don’t ask any questions and if they don’t personally know you they’re about as personable as the DMV. The coffee is better than Starbucks but is also over-roasted.

The efficient, polite staff will get your order right, and right away, each time, even when the line is long. The coffee is always fresh, with daily coffee specials and seasonal beverage offerings. There is a good selection of locally sourced baked goods and New York bagels to go with your beverage. This location is often busy and is VERY small, but if you are lucky enough to find a seat, take time to enjoy your coffee as you watch the world go by. The coffee is roasted at Willoughby’s Branford location. Willoughby’s does a mail order business; you can buy the same coffee and tea here, ground to order. With its large selection of coffee and tea brewing supplies, Willoughby’s t-shirts, local honey, and nicely bagged chocolate covered espresso beans, this is a great place to pick up a last-minute gift.

Best coffee I have come across anywhere. I stop once a day and sometimes twice! Multiple brews daily and a super friendly staff. Unfortunately or fortunately this coffee will spoil you for the mediocre brews most everyone else serves out there.

They have one of the best latte and great beans too. House Blend (light roast) and House Blend French Roast are the two that I regularly source for my own coffee. I use them with French Press but I guess they will taste great through an espresso machine as well.

Not just a dine-in venue, I think this the best place in CT to purchase loose Tea. They have 30-40 different loose tea varieties on hand in the store, in bulk, all fresh, at reasonable prices. Of course they have a large selection of fresh-ground coffees as well. They have been here 20+ years and always great. Much better than the aging loose tea in those cans at grocery stores or god forbid grocery store teabags.

Willoughby's Black Currant Tea is to die for. It needs no milk or sugar, and is great to bring along for hikes or every day drinking. They are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is always friendly.

I used to work for willoughby's in branford, and we had a certain standard for the coffee there, the customers would always tell us that downtown the coffee tasted terrible, and I never believed them, until today... I went there and paid almost three dollars for a cup of brown water, I can't believe Barry lets this go on as it is churning away business from his company as a whole, come on man, for shame

The entire staff is awesome & so inviting... I stopped in this spot oneday after the start of a divorce process... Just to take a mental moment and regroup the atomosphere was so therapeutic I brought 2 cups of coffee and sat for over an hour... Check it out

Though I have not been to any of the store locations, over the past couple of years I've had several pounds of Willoughby's freshly roasted beans delivered to my home for personal grinding. The beans are of superior quality, rendering wonderfully aromatic and richly flavored coffee. I think highly of Willoughby's Coffee and Tea and will recommend their products to everyone I know.
