Our Host took four of us out-of-town visitors to this restaurant for lunch on a sunny afternoon. It was not crowded and the patio was available. The menu had an assortment of dishes, all sounded wonderful. I ordered the Nachos to share with the table and I mean that dish was large enough for all five of us! Absolutely Delicious! I also had the Chicken Sandwich with Fries. Tasty. A $20 bill can go a long way at this location (mine was more than that but, hey, the bar had great selections as well). Thumbs up.

Tisane was just the place I always wanted to hangout with my friends, the service was great, food delicious, overall a great atmosphere, NOT ANYMORE, you have to wave and raise your voice in order to get the bartenders attention. Even though they are in front of you. Central air doesn’t work as supposed to so place gets very hot quickly, I can assume employees are cranky because of that? Any who Tisane is not what it used to be. The manager gets sarcastic and “funny” the wrong way. Overall and okay place to hang....

Not my first time eating at Tisane but my first lunch review. Service was quick for a leisurely lunch, 45 minutes from ordering to check. Lunch menu was extensive as far as fare for vegetarians and carnivores. Great server and fantastic coffee.

I love this place! I never liked martinis until I came here. They have so many varieties. The food is also delicious and unique. The atmosphere is very nice and the people that come to this restaurant are so diverse. Only problem is the parking and they need a bigger place.

Great food, great drink menu, indoor and outdoor seating, cozy and comfortable with wonderful friendly people. I came here alone on a Saturday night after moving to Hartford and met so many great people and had a fun time! I will certainly be back soon. This place is popular with locals and is a must for anyone looking to meet friendly new people or just try great food. Also they had a great DJ starting around 11:30pm and they clear some tables out of the way for people to dance but have a separate section for large groups to sit and eat where you won’t be in the middle of the dance floor. Basically, they have everything covered, despite being such a small place. Enjoy your visit!

Very nice atmosphere. Not a place to go to for a date but with friends to socialize yes. The food was ok. I had a Cobb salad it tasted different. The service was good, although I felt like my waiter was paying more attention to my date than me. I saying I just noticed the lack of eye contact with compared to the guy I was with. My boyfriend and I met here for drinks a year ago for our first date. We had such a good experience that we decided to come back for our 1 year anniversary. My boyfriend called ahead to let them know about our special occasion, and although I don't believe they usually take reservations, they sat us at the same booth we had last year (yes, we are corny) and had a small vase of yellow roses on the table. Our server Victor was very friendly and had good recommendations, and the manager dropped off our entrees and checked in. We were treated so well and I knew I had to leave a great review right away. <3 (Also the Pad Thai was delish!)

The food is always good, but the menu is short and almost never changes. The bar suffers from a similar situation. A small cocktail menu with few choices. If you want a drink off menu be prepared to explain what's in it.

While in town visiting friends, we met for lunch. I was surprised at the menu offerings and super thrilled with my delicious Pad Thai for lunch. I recommend saving room for dessert, the creme brulee of the day was so good it was hard not to lick the bowl!! Our server was perfectly attentive and fun, overall a great experience. I will definitely go here again next time I'm in CT.

A trendy cafe and bar that serves amazing euro Asian fusion cuisine, wonderful teas, and some of the best cocktails in Connecticut. There is nothing there that falls short of being spectacular. The staff is consistently phenomenal and provide exceptional service that one would expect from a far more expensive restaurant. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Delicious!! I got the Sunday blend tea, iced. It was delicious with a hint of almond and I nice little kick of caffeine. Also ordered the turkey burger with fries that was good, my friend ordered the caprese flat bread that looked awesome. Good prices, friendly staff. I was here a few years ago last time I was in hartfird and came back. Will do next time I'm in Hartford. The customers all seem cool, and so does the staff, a little hipstery. But they have live music, which is awesome!!!

The menu has good choices to satisfy times when you need a full meal or a snack or just a drink or a cup of coffee. Menu is creative, every time I order a new (to me) dish, it's always a bit surprising. Tisane puts their own twist on everything they serve. I have never been disappointed yet. The staff is pleasant and helpful, atmosphere inside is lively and usually pretty busy. Highly recommend.

Bad service, our server frequently walk past us never stopping to check in with us. We had to stop her few times for things we needed and wait... the Pad Thai was horrible, dry with no flavor. All I asked was if they put onion in the dish because I cannot eat onion, she answered no but it has scallions which I told her that was fine. I don’t know what happened in the kitchen but it looked nothing like the one I saw on the website. It was late in the night and the kitchen had closed by the time I got the food. Smh

Tisane is a small and cozy place to get good drinks. Their drinks are unique and the food is good too. I highly recommend visiting this cafe for date night or going out with friends. My only complaint is the parking. It's hard to find a spot because the parking area is small. But don't let that stop you from trying this place out.

After trusted friends raved I was highly disappointed. The drinks were weak and watered down tasting. They also took forever and our glasses had a lot of melted ice. The server was very nice though. The food took a while but it was a busier brunch so understandable. But the food was ok but not stellar as expected. I will probably give it a second try as bad days happen but not any time soon.

Excellent food on regular, specials menu and happy hour drinks are great. Can't go wrong there! However, tried two of the happy hour specials. Buffalo chicken spring rolls were lackluster. could not detect the chicken in the rolls and Calamari paper-thin with more greasy batter than squid. Service was excellent and attentive.

Delicious brunch on Sundays, there aren't a lot of veggie options but they have been happy to modify items for me when I asked. They have a great tea and liquor selection and it's a cool atmosphere inside. The brunch does get busy so I usually try to get there right when it starts at 10am. the staff is always very knowledgable about the food and extremely friendly. I gave 4 stars only because I wish the menu was more vegetarian friendly.

I had drinks and a starter at Tisane. The frites and grilled (and chopped) portobello was absolutely delicious. The addition of the Gorgonzola butter gave them a taste I hadn't experienced. The cocktails were also flavorful and strong - although still tasty and not too sweet. Just right! It was a great, all inclusive crowd that ebbed and flowed on the Friday night we were there. Really a great experience and delicious food.

The food is ok, it's a little pricey for what it is but also serves as good drunk food if you get a little tipsy (which I often do here). Parking is pretty limited though.

Tisane is a fine place with good food, but their Byzantine rules for when you can sit and where completely ruins the experience. It is trying to be a cafe, a restaurant, and a bar. This means that coffee drinkers get marginalized seating as early as two hours before happy hour. They also institute a cover charge on one night only - the night most popular with gay men. Perhaps it is just me but I feel like all customers should be treated equally and fairly no matter what they order or what their sexual orientation is.

The food is very good... but the service is not good. Our waitress (blond highlights and I think names Bridgette) while a very nice person, was not attentive to our table. Our forks weren't given to us at the beginning of the meal, from what I recall she never stopped by to see how things were or if we needed more (we also had to leave the table or ask for her to come) and we didn't have our order taken for a long time. She was very kind but maybe server training would be a benefit.

Tea was good. Innovative menu executed poorly. I ordered a pasta special, it was overcooked and cold. I sent it back. I never send anything back. The Korean pork sliders I got instead were gamey and served on cold mini pancakes. Edible, but not good. Someone else had Genral Tso's chicken, nothing special or fusion about it. Service slow and inattentive. Drinks looked good. We didn't understand all the hype. Maybe they had a bad night.

I love there food and teas! My favorite tea, is obviously Rose (168 I believe) I like getting Tea Drunk there, (no alchohol needed, but can be provided) The food is awesome! Salads, bigger than expected and guilt free. Sandwiches are so good. I had the buffalo chicken sandwhich and they came with BLEU CHEESE FRIES! So, friggin good! I don't know how they do it, they did it.

I just enjoyed a delicious lunch at this little gem. I got the cheese steak sandwich (sub mozz instead of Swiss) with sweet potato fries. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. The flavors were spot on and the honey sriracha was the perfect dipping sauce as well. The selection of teas was amazing- I got the organic rooibos ginger lime. Service was great. This seems to be a popular gay hotspot in an area where there seems to be a limited selection of hangouts. I will definitely come back again.

I chose this place from an online search to meet a friend and glad I did. I'm normally not a coffee guy and wanted to get something non cafinated and saw the tea menu. They do real loose leaf tea and have a great assortment. I ordered a chocolate and roobios tea. It was delicious by the way. The only negative thing I can saw is the parking. The lot was full, probably because the place was hopping. Definitely check out this place, it's worth the trip!

Unfortunately, I usually don’t write reviews but the service and food that I received at this venue was mediocre. My fiancé and I hadn’t eaten all day and we were excited to try many various dishes, however we left rather hungry and disappointed to say the least. When we arrived, we were seated at a very small table which is understandable since it was a busy Friday night. The server attending us had brown hair and wore a long black dress with a choker, sparkly brown eyeshadow (didn’t tell us her name). She asked if we wanted drinks and we replied no since we don’t drink, and we gave her some apps to start us off. We also asked if it was possible to be moved when tables were available since we have a tendency to order various dishes and try all the flavors, she replied that “she will try.” The food took long but It was a busy night, however what was really remarkable was how that she completely disappeared for the next hour, leaving us wondering what happened to our waitress. We ordered the wonton asian nachos, which was basically just wonton nacho chips with hardly any salsa and there was absolutely BARELY any cheese. We were literally stuck eating plain chips for the night, and we also ordered vegetable potstickers that were okay. We weren’t able to tell her if it was okay if they fixed the nachos because she never came!! There was a young blond skinny girl who brought the food to us, tables were getting empty and we asked (again) the girl if it was possible to move since we will be ordering more dishes. She said she will ask the waitress for us. She came back 10 minutes later saying “GO AHEAD SHE SAID SHE DOESN’T CARE WHAT YOU DO” which was really off putting. We moved over to a larger table with menus still in our hand waiting to order entrees. Mind you, 45 minutes passed and we still haven’t seen her. She never came to check on us and I was consistently eyeballing to see where she was. We got so full of eating plain wonton chips and so appalled about the lack of service that we decided to NOT order any more entrees or apps as we had hoped. I had to ask the young host with the orange hair “WHERE OUR WAITRESS WAS ???” And to tell her to come to our table. 10 minutes later she came and just because I had a sweet tooth I simply ordered the chocolate fondue to see if it would make my experience better. We also asked if she can bring us some water since our glasses were never refilled at all during the night. And boy were we thirstyyy. Instead of bringing us the water we had asked for, she completely ignored us and decided to give more martinis
