This Coffee Shop corresponds to the category of Cafe.
Farm fresh ingredients and really creative menu options. Really funky and fun decor. Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly service.
Can be overpriced, but really good overall fare that is often creative. Bonus is free bread served in clay flowerpots with freshly made herbal butter. Beautiful floral setting in an old greenhouse but can be chilly in the wintertime. Excellent for brunch-- BYOB at Glen Mills location.
It's that place you go to when you want to be a little fancy and have a consistently good experience without having to spend a tremendous amount of money. Everything is fresh, servers are knowledgeable and helpful, service is fast, bread is fresh made in flower pots with signature locally sourced butter. A really positive atmosphere and experience.
Very nice Cafe to get breakfast or lunch. Menu is well thought out with its gentle twist on traditional American dishes. Service was fast and friendly and the price was reasonable. Would go back for the food and the shopping at Terrain, the store and Cafe complement each other well.
Food is prepared with imagination and creativity. Perfect atmosphere for a peaceful and relaxing meal, among the greenery. Waitstaff is knowledgeable, attentive, and prompt. We go every time we are fortunate enough to be in the area.
Dishes are pricey but the foods worth the prices. Good vibe, nice staff, love the seasonal decorations. Love that you can browse the shop while waiting or after the meal. Outdoor tables have nice view with all the plants and stuff.
We were a party of 6 there for brunch. We were right on time for our reservation and we were seated right away. Dined in the greenhouse. Service was friendly and attentive. Our meals were excellent, not one of us had a complaint. Worth the trip.
Great healthy food. Wish we had a one in Seattle area
Very nice ambient, very tasty good food. It might be overpriced but the place is so beautiful, you pay with pleasure. The dishes are very original and fresh. Service was good. Nothing to complain. That's why they deserve 5 star.
Poor customer service.
This place has amazing food. One of the best.
Great attentive staff. Food is fantastic and the atmosphere is just amazing! Loved!
A beautiful place to have a bite to eat and get some goodies. Amazing plants.
I used to go for this place when i was Attended UDEl. It was a great and fancy place nearby my house where I celebrated birthdays and invited my parents over there. I loved their welcome Levander bread that was super good. The coffee was excellent. I loved to have breakfast or brunch but the dinner menu was limited for people who eats only chicken. This restaurant has multiple branches around the country. Highly recommended.
Food was great and the staff was nice.
Loved the casual, relaxed atmosphere. Try to get a table outside in the nice weather. Was there for brunch and loved the avocado eggs benedict. Hollandaise was fresh and light and the biscuit was perfectly fluffy and buttery. The bread for the table served in a flower pot was perfect given it's a garden center.
The food here is always amazing and the environment is beautiful! We go every year as a Christmas tradition. We always order the mushroom soup and I usually get the duck. One note is that there is seating outside of the greenhouse so request it if you want it.
Not a big fan of the small menu. I'm in a keto diet which is low carbs no sugar diet and terrain is surprisingly unaccommodating with their menu. I always think their food is overpriced despite always being delious and fresh. My favorite is the bread that comes in the planter. The prices however keep me from coming back too often. The lunch and dinner are typically on the louder side also. Dinner is a bit quieter.
The food was amazing. I got the terrain burger and fries. The decor is simply breathtaking. Plus u can check out the store before or after eating. Definitely worth the trip!
Good but waaaay overpriced. Service was ok. Food was good, not great. You're paying for the anthropologie chic.
Great food but make sure you get reservation of you can probably expect wait.
Super chill spot. Smells awesome and eased my hipster OCD mind
Very interesting unique place. Food was great.
The food was burned and the staff wasn't very friendly
I had the farmhouse board which consisted of an array of delicious meats, fruit and cheese. They even placed a nice portion of lox in the center. Yum!
Very cool little spot. Fun to walk around and see the unique ideas and plants they have to offer.
Nice place, I love to walk in through all plants and flowers, very different from all other restaurants and coffee shops, I recommend you to try the chocolate cake...
Heaven. It's my happy place.
Beautiful place. The food yummy
Always inspiring!!
The kids cheeseburger is adult size and looks great. I had the breakfast board which includes sausage, bacon, any style egg, potatoes and some greens. Plus a tasty biscuit. Service is good, but sometimes they seem to forget you are there, however they are always friendly. After eating we like to browse all the items for sale. Good place to people watch as well.
Great bread board offerings in a real green house setting. Attentive staff and a delight for home gardeners
Definitely a cute little cafe set amongst the beautiful greenery of Terrain. The food was good but not above average in my opinion and for the price of the meals it should be. I think it's worth trying even if it's for a coffee and pastry. Service was ok.
Amazing atmosphere and food!!!
Enjoying a great birthday breakfast for Gina with Baguio,Mia, Bob & me. Delish
This food is some of the best you'll find in the area. I've always had a good experience.
Serving food on a wooden platter does not make it taste better or worth the price.
Very good staff, a lot of creative retail inside and the food was very good.
Great atmosphere. Food takes a while but it's worth it.
Always a great selection if plants and gardening project supplies. Great atmosphere..I could spend all day here.
Love this store and enjoyed lunch at the cafe....
Very unique and quaibt atmosphere. Food was excellent.waitstaff knowledgeable.price was high. $18 for a hamburger and french fries is extravagant.
Beautiful location for brunch on a Saturday. Meals are a bit pricey but scallops were delicious! A very fun place to shop if you have a green thumb as well!
Brunch was awesome. The bread they serve in the clay pot was amazing.
Terrain cafe is absolutely fabulous. Fabulous food, fabulous service, fabulous atmosphere. The cheese boards are flawless and every dish I've had so far is fresh and flavorful. Haven't been for dinner but it is definitely a great place for brunch and lunch!
Old, probably historic original building? It is wonderfully decorated because it also serves as a nursery. So you get 3 for one. A place to shop, a nursery and a restaurant. Menu is a bit pricey but beautiful ambiance. Food is also pretty good. A nice place to check out, even if your not planning on eating.
I’ve been eating and going to terrain for about 5 years now. Recently the service has been horrible and slow. I am never one to write reviews because I honestly could not care less but this place has really gone down hill with customer service. It’s now just a trendy place to take cool pictures but if you want good service go else where. I will never be back.
Absolutely stunning place! Amazing food, happy staff!
Overrated. Paid $18 for a meal that consisted of one avocado, a few chopped mushrooms and a few chopped pieces of cucumber. No protein or carbs. Shocking. Employees walk around with their noses high, waitress pushed most expensive food.
So good! The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was magical!
Delicious food, great service and absolutely unbeatable atmosphere. I went here for lunch recently with a friend and enjoyed the BYOB aspect of this restaurant. The exterior and interior of the cafe are just stunning. I loved walking up and seeing the staff starting a fire in one of the fire pits. The other for pit was already going and had comfy chairs and warm blankets already out. The food was delicious. We ordered the farmhouse board, the pear fritters and the smoked salmon toast. The farmhouse board was absolutely amazing, and I'll definitely prefer it when I return. The pear fritters were pretty good, although we waited to eat those until after the farmhouse board and I wish we had eaten then when they were warm. The smoked salmon toast was alright. My main qualm was the quantity of salmon to toast, but I'm certain it would be perfect for anyone who likes a normal amount of smoked salmon. Our server was great and we really enjoyed our lunch.
The only reason this place gets two stars as opposed to none is for ambiance, which you can enjoy just by walking through the shop, or go to the gables down the road. Ordered a $15 dollar salad that was the size of a side salad. Way over priced. Will never go back.
Food is great my favorite place for shopping and inspiration
My family and I absolutely love this place. The food is always good and I love the fact that they have a seasonal menu. Our favorite is the cheese platter which is all local cheese. I was a little disappointed that they did not have the fire pit going that night since it was the holiday season. Always a great experience!
Don't plan on using a gift Certificate from Terrain here. Not only did I invite a large party to dine with me but it was as I went to pay the bill that I was told that the CG would not be honored. Poor policy. Get rid of your small print for purchasers of your GCs..
GET THE CHICKPEAS!! They were amazing, you will not regret it. Everything was delicious and the service was incredible. Beautiful place too
We went there for coffee and dessert. I think its a bit overpriced. You need to have a reservation especially in the weekend. The cappuccino and latte were fine, the deconsecrated carrot cake is highly recommended, and something sort of apple pie was ok. Generally, I absolutely love the design and atmosphere
Open for brunch daily. Nice selection of healthier affordable foods, but needs a lot more natural/organic options. Very nice staff.
It already became a tradition to come here with my mother twice or three times a year, as seasons change. They have such a unique style, plants, ideas for the home, cozy cafe, barn for your events like weddings, bridal showers, baby showers and much more! Prices are on a higher end, and you can get some of the plants and decor at significantly lower raters at Home Depot, Marshalls, etc. but the charm terrain has is worth the visit and to splurge once in a while. We recently attended a garden workshop on how to make hanging kokedamas and it was a blast!
Amazing place
Drinks are ok, ambiance is great, and get the burger
Here for a wedding. Gorgeous. Here for dinner. Exquisite. Here for garden stuff. Score! #altaredvowsbytaya #capicheweddings
Delicious food, outstanding people, one of a kind experience!!
Not too many menu options.but very good burger. Great service!
Fabulous! Food and Atmosphere both
Loved the shakshuka. These guys know how to make it right and those chick peas! Wow.
While the food was quite good, its because of the service I'm giving 3 stars. Even though upon arrival, we made a reservation, the person at the desk seated many people before us having the same number of people as us. When we asked about it, she was very rude and we felt there was subtle racism. Except for this incident, we enjoyed the food. The freshly baked bread was amazing and so soft! The parnsip romesco brilliant.
Best experience in a while
I am giving five stars just for the ambiance. The server was very friendly and nice. We were there for breakfast and the place was buzzing. God presentation was good but the taste was a bit bland and lacked salt. I am a big spicy food fan, so this menu was not for me. Overall must visit place as it also has a great shop next door and a large nursery.
Fantastic dining experience in a greenhouse. Food is beautifully presented and super fresh. The service is spot on.
Food is too expensive for what you get sometimes. Small portions on some meals. Food is delicious though.
Wonderful fresh food. Creative dishes. Great service. A tad pricey, but a nice lunch spot if you're in the mood for a splurge and some shopping.
A real little gem, this one. A Cafe with a great ambience. Lots of character here. Excellent for light meals. The decor is different - perhaps French Provencal. One's spirits are lifted immediately you enter this venue. The service is very good with pleasant and attentive waiters. We had four different dishes between us, and each one was well-presented and delicious. Altogether an enjoyable experience.
My wife and I ate at Terrain Cafe for our wedding anniversary this past year. Though a very unique setting that makes you feel as if you are eating outside in a garden, the food fell short of my expectations and the service was below par for the price. The store is easy to find from the road, however once parked, finding the restaurant is moderately difficult. The entrance is in the very back, where you must walk through part of the outdoor store to notice. There are signs to lead you in the right direction, but for someone unsure of where they are going and carrying a bottle of wine (Terrain Cafe is BYOB since they do not have a liquor license), I felt out of place. Online, Terrain Cafe portrays itself as more towards fine dining than what it truly is, a cafe. The tables are placed very close to each other, so do not expect much privacy at your table while you eat. Finally, the food left more to be desired. I ordered the steak medium rare, which came out rare and was tough to chew. I got through half of the steak and couldn't finish because my jaw was sore from chewing. It seems odd that the only side offered with the steak (one of the more expensive items on the menu) was french fries. I expected more from a "Farm to Table" restaurant.
The cafe is located in a beautiful green house. Food is consistently delicious and creative. There is also a great selection of tea and coffee. Perfect brunch spot.
A hidden gem in Glen Mills, literally tucked away off Rt.1. A very unique eatery, with delicious food and friendly staff, all in a cozy and rustic setting. The outdoor seating is recommended during nice weather.
The atmosphere was amazing!!! Food tasted like it was harvested that day and prepared fresh at time of order. I will DEFINITELY be going back. Awesome place!!! BYOW if that’s your thing.
Went here for Mother’s day and everyone loved it!! Amazing atmosphere. Food is delicious and healthy. The Harvest Bowl was our favorite dish. Great to walk around and shop before or after eating.
The wedding venue was beautiful. The staff are great!
A favorite stop whenever I'm in the area. Even if you don't buy you will leave witg plenty of ideas!
Amazing place! amazing food! Can't wait to go back. I feel so inspired!!
One of my absolute favorite places. The cafe is a culinary joy, and the shop is like no other experience I can compare it to. Curated garden, decor, and books, plus so much more. You must experience Terrain for yourself.
Good food yes, but more notably, super friendly staff
Wonderful and relaxing shop/restaurant.
Love love love the food! Healthy food, perfect portions and beautiful ambience!
This is the place to get you in the Christmas mood as they go all out making it a magical shopping experience. I get so inspired with all the creative displays and I could easily spend two hours shopping touching everything. They also have a very busy cafe.
Expensive
Visited here on a Tuesday for lunch with some girlfriends. Such a beautiful dining space amongst an even more beautiful garden space! The food was delicious - I had the burger with an egg+bacon on top, that the server recommended and I was very happy! The beet salad was also delicious. My friend got the cauliflower sandwich & it was amazing! I almost wished I had gotten that. Price point is a little on the high side, but everything was really good. BYOB is also a huge plus! Don't forget to leave time to wander the grounds & sneak in all the Instagramable spots on the property!
Very $$$$$
It was like stepping into another world. The decor with the plants and whimsical pieces made you feel like you were in a hidden oasis somewhere in a secret garden. Beautiful warm and inviting.
A little expensive, but nice menu and good cocktail list. Good for brunch. Very nice interior.
Awful service. Rude management
Such a beautiful garden center with unique flowers and gift ideas!! And the food at the cafe was delicious. Such a fun menu and fun setting. It can get a little loud but not Terrible, more lively!
Great afternoon spending time looking at all the gorgeous plants and stunning displays. Food was delicious! Definitely worth the 4hour round trip drive!
Excellent food. Very high noise level.
Always the best, food, service ambiance!
We could have picked a better day to try. The cafe was busy during Father's day and service suffered a little. The food was good and and invitingly presented. The store and the gardening center outside had a lot of interesting plants and accessories. On the whole, an enjoyable visit.
Great atmosphere, menu has a nice selection.
Interesting venue and food. I would say a must try, without children, if you were visiting Longwood Gardens. Be prepared for a pricey menu
Excellent food and atmosphere. Staff is excellent and friendly and the service is fast. Drinks, wine, etc. Very crowded and noisy garden center decor - very clever seasonal displays. Always a good place to meet for lunch or diner. Wish they had more parking, but I'd park illegally and hike a mile to get there. Use 'Open Table' for a reservation as this place is crowded - always... Update 4-17-2018: Added about 20 more parking spaces seemingly overnight. Reconfiguring the Garden Center. Was there today for lunch - their excellent Caesar Kale Salad with any of - salmon; scallops; shrimp; chicken - just perfect. Upon reflection, I may have gone too far - don’t go here. Ignore this review - and - don’t take my parking space...
Terrain was amazing. I was there for a friends wedding and the atmosphere and ambiance was fantastic.
Nice ambiance and tasty food. Breakfast board has a little bit of everything (french toast, salad, eggs, bacon and sausage)- we shared it. And we finished off with ricotta/ pear fritters, which is technically a starter, but worked great as a light dessert as well
Interesting setting inside of a store, food was good.
Awesomeness. Great food great atmosphere. Ordered the breakfast board and it was incredible. The bread in the terracotta pot is out of this world!
Great food!
Very good food l. But louder than i expected
Such a cool idea. This cafe is in a very well decorated gardening store. The concept sounded a bit weird to me at first, but when I got there and checked it out, it was very well done. The cafe has a rain forest type vibe. The coffee was great too. Will have to go again to try the food. A bit pricey though, but its Westport what do you expect.
Dazzling decor, inspiring products, amazing food and helpful team members from cafe to sales.
Great place to catch up with a friend. Service could be friendlier, however.
Every detail of our brunch was spectacular!
Great food, service was a little lacking. Great location, very cool.
Delicious food and an even better ambiance.
I love Terrain!! The ambiance is Above Par. You're surrounded by nature and a beautiful garden centre... Score!! Everyone is friendly, I tend to sit at the bar more often than not coming here. Bloody Mary's are delicious.. Always! The food is healthy, seasonal, fresh and tasty. I love how they bake their bread in gardening pots and their butter always mixed with herbs or honey or whatever it is for that day. I'd give them 5 stars if they had homemade hot sauce or any hot sauce for that matter other than siracha.
Terrain Garden Cafe is a lovely experience. We go there often for lunch and dinner. The menu changes seasonally depending on what is available and we have yet to have a bad meal. Their bread is amazing - a brioche that is light and full of flavor. It is a fun place to meet friends for coffee and pastries. The staff is always friendly. Terrain itself is a feast for the eyes - all of the greenery and decor is magical and dreamy.
Terrain is a food lover's dream. The restaurant, nestled in essentially an oversized terrarium, boasts a seasonally-focused rotating menu of creative dishes. Dinner is wonderful, but this is definitely my go-to brunch spot.
Working with the staff at the Terrain Garden Cafe' I planned and hosted a birthday celebration dinner for my wife and her 24 closest friends. Each step of planning and execution were a pleasure. We held the event on a Sunday evening overlapping the last hour the store was open with another 90 minutes all to ourselves (we did not have access to the store after it was closed - that was fine). We were very pleased with the attentive serving staff who did a fine job working their way through our planned program. One of our guests had a series of food related allergies that she was able to discuss with a server and the chef upon her arrival. Beautiful and tasty alternatives were provided at very short notice. The rest of our guests enjoyed their dinners beginning with soup, followed by main courses, delicious desserts and accompanied by prosecco, quality red and whites and a selection of beers, coffee, tea and soft drinks. All food was artfully presented, a joy to our pallets and season (fall) appropriate. The dinner was nearly a month ago and my wife is still delighted as am I. Make a trip to the Terrain Garden Cafe' (we drove 25 miles up from Westchester County) the overall food and shopping experience will convince you to make it a seasonal road trip.
Exquisite food and atmosphere. Perfect for a day of plants, home goods, and getting in touch with your local shops. Beautiful.
Love this Cafe, Very Tasty Burgers (lots of other options, I just love their burgers) & wonderful service! Nice place to stop, eat & relax after Shopping in Terrain!
Nice space, fair service and expensive
Great cafe and amazing store! Haven't eaten here yet, but have heard it is amazing and I can't wait to try it! I also highly recomend it for engagement photos or for your wedding!
Pleasant cafe with good brunch and coffee drinks in the charming yet expensive design store. Note their updated pet policy for those who used to bring Fido along with. Definitely not an economical place to get a meal, but tasty.
Mother's Day brunch, just lovely as usual. A definite treat with wonderful atmosphere.
Went to Terrain yesterday to celebrate a birthday. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The food was great and the atmosphere can't be beat!
Favorite lunch and plant shopping spot!
Beautiful landscaping with large stores selling home goods as well as outdoor plants and wood. Cafe is rustic with great food from local ingredients. Service was nice. It can be a little confusing getting to the cafe from the parking lot when it’s dark. Smoked salmon and fig toast. Chocolate mouse cake. Salmon salad. Bread and butter was very good. Moderately priced. Parking free. Near Glen Mills Mall. Accepts cards and cash. Recommend requesting seats away from the door when cold out—it gets very cold. Will return to try menu.
Very good food, somewhat long wait time
Nice ambience, thought the food was a little over priced. Great service.
A little schizophrenic, but the food is phenomenal (get the toasts) and the shop has interesting selections for those who love to grow things.
Food is great but the people and the service here is absolutely awful. They don’t answer their phones for reservations/“phones are broken”, they sit parties of two at tables for 8, hostesses don’t communicate with the servers... again, great food, but most annoying dinning experience.
Always a lovely place to visit. Aside from the charming shop and flower selection outdoors, the destination shines as a fabulous spot for a delicious lunch. Great service to match!
Really earthy atmosphere, service is good and many healthy food options. Great place to buy some unique house and patio stuff.
What's not to love! Beautiful setting and farm fresh food.
Great brunch spot!
Extremely mediocre is the most charitable description. This is my second time with exact same impression. This is the living proof that you should stick to what you do well. The cafe is an appendage to the store and the service was extremely slow and the food was disappointing. When we pointed to the waiter that there was hair baked into the bread he didn’t apologize and simply took it away and dint bring another one. The food orders were messed up from both what we ordered and how we wanted it cooked. The food was edible nothing more, tough to believe they could mess up a burger! It is a rare day when my kids done finish their food. The cadre is very nice however I would only recommend it for a cup of coffee and maybe a croissant.
Lovely setting with yummy food
I have been to the Terrain Garden Cafe twice, and both times have been wonderful experiences! My Mother-in-law recommended it to me, and I am so glad she did! The food was delicious, the service was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere was beautiful and cozy. I recommend the mushroom soup, and the lavender vanilla and peach and pear spritzer were very good! I took my sister there for her birthday, and she loved it as well! We had such an enjoyable time walking around the retail shop and premesis. I can't wait to go back!!! Highly recommend!
Great lunch but pricey
Everything is excellent. I love this place.
Beautiful with really good food
Great, trendy atmosphere. Delicious food and a garden store with something for everyone. You can buy plants like a regular nursery but also gardening accessories & indoor gardening things as well. They also have dinnerware items and candles, soap, & jewelry. The restaurant has fresh local ingredients & butter baked in little Terra Cotta pots. This place never disappoints.
Perfectly fine but a space for coffee and cake diners would be great.
Amazing place food and staff was great
Delicious food and beautiful garden atmosphere
The food was fabulous and the service very attentive.
Terrible service mediocre food!
Thoroughly enjoyed having brunch at Terrain. The decor is amazing and the food is delicious. Will definitely be back for brunch and dinner.
Terrain is magical. I love it.
Most of the time I love this place, but every once in a while the food is only so so. It has a very cool atmosphere, you basically are having dinner inside of a greenhouse. The attach store has many lovely things, but they are pretty crazy expensive.
Had such an enjoyable experience at Terrain — both shopping and eating at the cafe. Menu, service and food was all impeccable. As a wedding photographer, I absolutely loved their attention to detail. Can’t wait to go back to shoot for both personal and professional work! Highly recommend making a reservation at the cafe and enjoying the whole experience they offer.
0 costumer service waiting for 30 m for mashrum soup still waiting and workers are don’t even give a f...
Exceptional food. Fresh with great presentation
Its nice and good service
A great explosion of flavor in my mouth after every bite. From the sound, to the sandwich and dessert. The place is surrounded bu this lovely garden which makes the visit even more worth it.
This is the cutest cafe I think I've been to. There's a cafe with plenty of room and then a store with lots of gardening and other fun stuff in the back. Chickpeas were spicy and crunchy. Started out with bread in a pot but tasted meh. Super Instagram worthy location.
Food was underwhelming. It may be fresh but lacks flavor
Always fantastic food and a great atmosphere. Plus we can shop when qere6done! We stop every time were remotely close.
I wish I could give Terrain more than 5 stars for the ambiance alone, so so happy to have discovered this gem! We came in here for dinner with a large-ish group on a Thursday but I had made a reservation in advance so there was no issue getting seated. Got to take a little walk around the shop before they closed at 7:00pm and then enjoyed an awesome dinner afterwards. We started out with a cheeseboard for the table along with two orders of Crispy Chickpeas. Both are great apps, the chickpeas are definitely a very unique dish. And of course the bread in a flower pot is pretty much the cutest thing I've ever seen, not to mention the bread being delicious. The butter is great here too, apparently they have a different type of butter every day. For my main course, I got the Roasted Chicken Breast (with cardamom spiced farro, green tomato harissa, pickled radish, fresh garbanzo). The dish was not only photogenic but super fresh and healthy. The only issue I had with it is that I found the flavors to be a bit bland, it could definitely use some more seasoning.
I took my wife here not knowing what to expect. We had an enjoyable experience. We were seated at the same table as another couple. Food was priced well for the portion size and serving.
The food, service and atmosphere are really, really great...interesting menu choices...highly, highly recommend.
Relaxing healthy plants from all over the world that will last for years to come. Store arrangements inviting with a restaurant.
I'm from Michigan and I loved this Cafe
Everything about this place was just excellent. From the service to the surroundings this was a wonderful pre-spa treat with my besties!
I had an excellent lunch. The "toast" is amazing! The atmosphere is warm and rustic. The best part of Terrain Cafe is shopping at the gift shop and nursery.
The place is amazing, the food is not so great. Overall a nice experience everybody was nice and friendly. The shop part is really nice and a bit expensive. The bread&butter was very good!
Beautiful setting, fresh flowers and greens. Delicious hummus platter, kale Caesar salad and spring green salad. Attentive service.
Interesting place in the middle of a plant and gift store. Very busy!
One of my favorite places on Earth! I love the people, I love the scenery, I love the food. They had this fantastic Autumn harvest dinner and I love that they have events like that. It was family style and we met a lot of great people. We'll be back again and again!
Most cozy atmosphere even during winter. The retail section will definitely get your creative juiced flowing! Very inspiring place.
Food is prepared well
This was my first time here for dinner. I've come here and number of times for lunch and always had a good time. Tonight was especially popular so there was a lot of people in the dining room today. It is a bit of a trendy hidden gym the combination of rustic and elegant. It is a BYOB.
exquisite atmosphere and service. Delicious food. A real gem of a place.
Great food and ambience!
The only part I didn't like we're the hard wood chairs.
Both the food and the atmosphere were absolutely top-notch. We went there for a girls' evening out and just thoroughly enjoyed the walk through the store and the dining experience. To make it a truly perfect experience, make sure to BYOB!
A welcomed escape from the real world. It’s like eating a gourmet meal in a secret garden. Love that it’s BYO.
The food and atmosphere were awesome! Would definitely recommend.
Great food, wonderful atmosphere.
Was here for a wedding and the manager was so rude, she ruined the whole night for us. Would never come back here.
This is such a cool place! Covered with plants and beautiful lights, it feels like dining in a freaking fairy forest. The food seemed well thought out and varied, which was great. I always push for more vegetarian options, but the cheese plate was awesome and soup. Definitely recommend.
This a unique food experience in that you eat delicious food in a greenhouse among lots of plants. I was a little disappointed by the quality of the flank steak. However, all of our other food was delicious! My wife took me here for my birthday. It is definitely a restaurant for a special occasion.
Oh my my happiness abounded as I walked through the enchanted wonderland of twinkle lights, antique pots, fresh greens and french linens on my way to the restaurant . Food was creative, healthy and filling .A brioche bun in a terracotta pot with a floret whipped butter for the table to start while eating in a conservatory-like room filled with living plants..did I tell you it is January when we dined ??
Very tasty and light. Our waiter was excellent and the surroundings can’t be beat.
Adore eating at terrain. Great brunch menu, love their daily flavored teas. You can't beat their adorable atmosphere!
Noisy inside the glassed in area. Food great! Shopping for unusual plant, soap, lotion items was fun?
Awesome burger!
Wonderful atmosphere, tasty bites and friendly staff, be sure to reserve a table online during peak season! I always recommend stopping at Terrain for the ambiance and inspiration before heading to Longwood Gardens.
Absolutely delicious... food and surroundings!
Excellent place for brunch
Adorable garden that's perfect for brunch, shopping, and events! Their food was deliciously fresh and the coffee very tasteful. I especially loved their fire pit outside and the Christmas decor.
Just Excellent! What a gem of a place! Cozy, great food and the personnel is very polite. A solid 10!
A bit expensive, but fragrant ambience
Lovely patio! Menu was full of amazing options, it was hard to pick. Service was friendly and timely, but not rushed. Look forward to returning!
Way too campy. Food, meh. Certainly not worth the price. Ok service. Don't blame them....hard to get excited about expensive, mediocre food.
The service staff were lovely and the decor is beautiful, but the food was meh at best. I had a disappointing French toast that was dry with a few peaches to add color all sitting in a very sour yoghurt, and my husband had the tiny burge
Good food, beautiful outdoor atrium, service ok, wonderful home and garden shop
Beautiful area and gardens, the interior is unique and celebrates plant life! The food was delicious I will be going back again. I can't wait to see it in the spring!
A little pricey but the quality of the food is worth it! I recommend the shakshuka.
Great ambiance, staff and food.
Very good appetizers, the food is a bit pricey. $16 for a hamburger when Ruby's across the street is 10x better. Nice atmosphere.
Very interesting unique place. Food was great.
Waitress was great, as well as the other staff members. Food was delicious. Must get the cheese board.
I Really Enjoyed The Cauliflower On A Brioche Roll -Delicious
Went with a large party for my girlfriend's going away dinner. While the food was decent and being a byob is great, the service was below average. Our server was gone for half the meal, replaced by what I think was either the GM or the hostess. An app was forgotten, and then I had to go over to the host stand to get someone to take our cards and pay our bill after 20 mins of waiting. To top it, she got our payment amounts backwards even after explicitly telling her how much goes on what card and saying the color of each card as a memory-jogger. The difference wasn't drastic but really?? Especially after having to find you to pay?? We won't be going back.
Lovely place delirium food gently service
The best salmon I have ever had. The atmosphere is great and the food is delicious.
Good food.

Loved it! Great coffee and delicious eats! Very cool store surrounding the cafe as well.
THE CHEF JES IS KNOWLEDGABLE, GRACIOUS, AND CREATIVE. WE WENT FOR A SPECIAL EVENT WITH GAIL SIMMONS AND THE MENU AND PRESENTATION WERE ALL FANTASTIC. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR LOCALS AND VISITORS ALIKE. WE WILL BE BACK!
Simply amazing! I recommend this place for a true experience of savory, fresh, and delicious food!
Only giving this place 2 stars because of the beautiful ambiance. Otherwise, the food was nothing special. Ate lunch at this restaurant today and there was a hair in my food. Waitress brought me another meal and apologized. I would have atleast expected she would take my coffee off the bill for the trouble, but nothing. Really lost my appetite after this experience and it's unfortunate because it's a beautiful restaurant. Wanted to share my experience, hoping no future customers have to experience the same.
Bonkers! Super cool spot!!! It was sooo busy I could not even get a table but I had some great La Calombe coffee (still the best) and a pumpkin scone and hung outside by the fire pit. I’ve got reservations for the next visit
gorgeous scenery and tons of things to see here. lots of lovely plants and flowers. there is a nice garden cafe which is beautiful and very Instagram worthy and picturesque. there are also some lotions and beauty supplies available. they also have furniture for sale. there are some books (even children books)... there is a huge variety here!
Quality and quantity of breakfast superb. ambience excellent ,gives the feel of sitting in a garden. Location convenient Service outstanding. Ample free parking Price $$$.
Very cool place. Lots of really cool house hold things. Food was great. Service was fantastic. Pricing is fair but leaning to the high side.
Incredible all around.
Very cool ambience and good food. But he wait staff is what sets it apart - nice and very attentive without being overburdening. We enjoyed our time here and will come back with friends.
Came here for a rehearsal and dinner. Definitely have to recommend this place. Staff were great; food was delicious; ambience was quaint, intimate, and rustic. Definitely have to check this place out!
This is a beautiful place and much more than just a garden center. There is a large retail area which sells everything from bath soap to kitchen bowls and more. We have driven by this place hundreds of times but we never thought to go in. We sure are glad that we did! This place is obviously well run. There's a dining area in a old green house and it's BYOB. We had a wonderful dinner and experience.
Delicious. Terrain brings some of what made Waterloo Gardens (to those of you familiar) so special and adds a touch of sophistication, so it's no surprise their on site restaurant keeps with the theme. Lots of local options, smallish menu, was impressed with the quality for the price. They have a rotating ice tea I highly recommend.
Nice vibe. Casual somewhat upscale dining. Very enjoyable.
Love this place, however the staff should not put their noses in the air. The customers are paying your wages.
Food is absolutely amazing and keeps you coming back despite service being a disaster. Wait staff is friendly but order to serve time is absurdly long, and I've had to flag staff down to ring me out. Despite having a reservation system, they can't seem to get logistics down. But as I said, food is stellar - high quality, creative plating, good value for the price, good menu diversity. Ambiance is also top notch.
The cheese plate is amazing. Took a while to get, but definitely worth it. Our service wasn't too grand, somewhat hit or miss. She'd come get our drinks order, but they no longer return for 15 minutes. Same thing with our food. I had ordered the steak and it was outright delicious and cooked perfectly. My wife had the duck and again, cooked perfectly. The lack of service definitely brought it down a little bit, but the food none the less tasted great.
We had our annual office holiday party at Terrain this year. Beautiful setting, attentive service and excellent menu!
4.5 - Everything about Terrain is expensive including this cafe. If that's not a concern, then this place delivers on so many levels (I was fortunate enough to be with someone who could get us a discount). Two words - endless bread. It comes in a cute little flower pot and is so deliciously dense! Between the four of us we ate 5. The waiter was impressed. We came for brunch and stuck to the breakfast options: shakshuka and omelettes. I've never had shakshuka and have always wanted to try it. I really liked the egg and chickpeas in a tomato base. The tomatoes in the omelettes made them a little too watery it seemed like, but definitely hearty portions. We also ordered the artisanal cheese plate, which came with a number of different cheeses, apple slices, bread and crackers. It's a great deal for the value and I highly recommend getting it! This specific location is in (I believe) a converted garden center, which contributes perfectly to its organic and green ambience. I recommend sitting in the greenhouse patio as it is perfectly lit with natural light. After eating, you can walk off all the excess bread by exploring the massive Terrain store.
Planning a wedding so I sent them multiple emails and nobody ever got back to me. Extremely unprofessional clearly didn't want my business. The food is also overpriced for the quality. Don't get me wrong it's good but they overcharge because of the current rustic trend the world is obsessed with. If you're only going for the aesthetic this place is for you!
BYOB only so all dinner goers make a note of that. American eatery serving brunch daily and dinner on most days. Highly suggest having a reservation ahead. Looks like an absolute dreamy home with garden shop. Local Farm to table organic seasonal based food is served in the restaurant. Mushroom soup is the best. Liked the duck breast, small portion but quite rich with egg. Deserts were great, ordered sea salt Carmel with churro, one of the best deserts ever. Home made Drinks are great.
Great food
Great Atmosphere and allowed some shopping!
Very poor customer experience. I am not sure what was happening in the kitchen for the brunch crowd, but they were several tables behind on orders people were waiting more than 60 minutes for food to come out. The bad thing is they knew they were having problems but they still continued to seat people which just exasperated the situation. We canceled our order and left.
We visited after the garden shop had closed, but we were able to have dinner and everything was delicious. The popover served in a flower pot was so cute.
Wow! This place is magical, delicious, and a slice of botanical heaven.
This was my first time dining at Terrain and definitely won't be the last! Such a cool hidden gem. Fresh tasty ingredients! Can't wait to try everything on the menu!
Terrain is one of my favorite places to visit any time of year. The food is always fresh and different in season options. The ambiance is my favorite as well, it is stunning and I wish I could decorate my home in this way!
Food was great, very friendly service and you could walk around the shop for hours
The best time !
Beautiful place to enjoy lunch and shopping. The food is fresh and delicious. Loved how artful the food was presented with the fresh bread in clay pots. The avocado toast and salmon toast was delicious! I love going here in all the seasons as it is always so well-done. The store is a visual treat!
Great service, great food. Menu is always changing keeping it fresh snd interesting.
The cutest place for a meal. Food was delicious and then browsing the store was just as awesome. I love the flower pot filled with bread and the honey butter.
Great food & atmosphere. Lots of cute stuff in the shop.
The food is great, albeit expensive. But, the natural ambience of the green house setting along with the friendly wait staff and delicious eats and drinks always make it a favorite for me.
Loved this place. It’s very fresh and service was great. Need a reservation on weekends. Coffee was amazing and menu very curious & delish. It’s a BYOB. The store is adjacent to the restaurant, so have some time to explore:)
Beautiful and friendly environment. Food was delicious and staff was amazing. Service was very fast. Would recommend.
Great food, great ambience. Host was not so nice. I was alone and wanted a table. Despite the fact there were multiple tables available she gave me quite a hard time.
Great place to wander, shop, and eat.
Lovely place for lunch - lots of brunch-y items.
I love this place
Awesome place, food it is very tasty and fresh!
Beautiful setting and delicious food... The fries with pecorino were delicious and a generous serving! I definitely recommend!
It’s the best brunch spot. It’s soo pretty and the food was amazing! Customer service was great too. Loved the ambience as well.
Warm friendly staff. Eat in an eco friendly environment with farm to table excellence A culinary treat in Westport! The bartenders were attentive, knowledgeable about the food and socialable in a busy environment
The environment and staff were amazing and kind! The food was light and delicious
Great
I absolutely love this place~! It has an elegant yet casual atmosphere & healthy, fresh food. The cucumber salad is made with fresh cucumbers, the bread they serve are baked in cute little clay pots & the butter is light & very well whipped. My love & I shared french toast. They gave us two giant, fluffy pieces of french toast with a blueberry sauce topping, whipped cream & a side of yummy Vermont maple syrup. Best breakfast ever. The staff is friendly & approachable, very polite & poised. They serve their drinks in mason jars, which by the way the blood orange hibiscus ice tea & freshly brewed & amazing as well as the homemade lemonade. I really love this place & enjoy it every time I go.
Was there with a friend, her first time.We ordered the bibb salad and the kale salad-$16.00 each.No dressing, tough inedible kale with a couple of chunks of tasteless squash and 3 tiny shavings of cheese, bibb lettuce with no dressing and tiny amount of cheese. We sent them back and had to reorder.Got a pre-made quiche that was probably frozen, salad with no dressing-ridiculous. Don't bother .
Definitely worth the visit. Different menu but very good. Huge selection of garden items. Bring your credit card.
Pumpkin soup was delicious. Fresh bread was great too.
Terrain Cafe is a really neat BYOB garden Cafe. The food is really food and the ambience is really cool. It can be a little noisy but other than that it's great for a date or groups.
Amazing!! Great ambiance & menu!!
This place always has great food, and it’s fun to walk through the store to get to the cafe in the back.
Pleasant setting for a quick nosh.
Great atmosphere. Great food. Go early, walk around and explore.
Went here for mothers day today. At $55 a head it seemed a little steep for a buffet of sausage, eggs, bacon, and some sweets but we thought the experience would be worth it. There was nothing special, food was average, there was no "experience," just a room that looks like a barn inside stuffed with tables. Good was average, nothing special about it. The worst part about the whole day was the 6 hours doubled over in pain afterwards. Not just for me but 5 of the other 9 people that were there with us. Now I have been here before for the regular restaurant and that was fine, a cute little place and much more of an experience than this. I would never go back for this mothers day brunch again, and I would recommend no one else go either. They need to step up their game if they want to charge that much for eggs. They also pushed us out, didn't give much time to sit around after we ate and talk. Overall very disappointing and not how I would like to spend a mothers day ever again.
What a little Gem of a Restaurant tucked away in a Botanical Garden Type Store. I love the food here. the menu has something for everyone. everything is fresh and flavorful to the last bite. Cant wait to go back.
Terrific setting and innovative food.
Friendly prompt service. Great food
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant. I really liked that you could customize your lemonade. Before we ordered our food I made sure to tell my server I was allergic to lavander. Then two mins later she brings us out bread and butter. She then says heres your bread and lavender butter. I reminded her of my allergy and she replaced the butter with normal butter. The bread was very plump and delicious in a terracotta pot. I also orderd the chicken dish as pictured. Both my fiance and I really enjoyed the food. He said it was the best burger he ever had. For the prices your paying on food the service should of been better. After we were brought our food our server forgot about us. It took so long to get our check.
Birthday brunch was great. Eggs Benedict with avocado and chai tea. It was delicious.
Good drink options and polite staff, be prepared to wait 30 minutes on weekend lunch/brunch
Fantastic food and lovely, quiet atmosphere.
I had a Birthday Party Brucnh there yesterday, and it was amazing...the food, atmosphere, hospitality, service...You truly made my day...The Server was amazing...Sorry I can't remember her name, but she needs a raise...I hope you share this post with her...thanks for EVERYTHING...Crystal
Absolutely beautiful, with even better food. Great variety & everything is super fresh.
Fabulous! Food was wonderful and atmosphere was unique!
Cool idea for Cafe. Keep in mind that kitchen doesn't work from 3 PM till 5 PM :) Unfortunately, I was surprised by this news
