French toast special was very good! Plain French toast was nothing impressive but good. We asked for extra crispy bacon but mine was not crisp at all which is why 4 not 5. Otherwise great!! Definitely worth the wait.

This place is a gem. I come here whenever my schedule allows it and order the "Something Special"..a mash up of hashbrowns broccoli sour cream cheese and bacon. Absolutely wonderful. I see a lot of locals visit here consistently and the quality of the food speaks for itself. Just remember to bring cash- they do have an ATM outside if you find yourself in a pinch.

Always a hot good quality breakfast. Prices have gone up and the value is not as good once was way that's why only 4 out of five . Example I had a egg and sausage sandwich with coffee my husband and omelet listed on menu coffee and our bill was over $30 without tax and tip. Still a nice place to visit.

I ordered the Home special which was very good but the home fries were a little burnt. Hazelnut coffee was good. The City omelet was also good according to my son. Service was awesome. Prices and atmosphere good. I'd definitely go back when I'm in town.

When going out for a sit down meal I like being served my coffee. Taking order, checking back and refilling my coffee. Couldn't figure what to tip for just dropping off food. It's a great idea for takeout but not for sit down. The food was good but I'll go where I get served.

Pancakes were very good. Home fries looked like they were heavily seasoned, but they were very bland-just no flavor. Waitress was mediocre, didn't check on us much at all. I noticed that anyone who needed something would either ask the hostess or a busser for help. This place is very popular, but I doubt I'll be back, underwhelmed.

While this little hole in the wall may not be much to look at, the food is absolutely phenomenal! I love their banana bread french toast and help yourself coffee bar. Their home flavored coffees are delicious. The staff is friendly and I like that there is covered outdoor seating as well. They have an array of daily specials, and there is not a bad choice on the whole menu. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Stopped here around 10am on a Sunday morning and it was the best decision we made all day :-) It's a small place so you may have to wait to get a table. We were seated straight away but by the time we left there was a line out the door. The staff here are nice and friendly. Decor is cute and fitting for the atmosphere. The have a bottomless coffee and tea station, with to-go cups. Makes perfect sense since they were super busy when we were there and it saves time for the staff if that's one less thing they have to worry about. The food here is phenomenal! I had the French toast with the hash special - chicken taco. The hash smelled amazing and tasted as great as it smelled. The French toast was great as well. I was totally satisfied. My husband had the omlette special (tomatoes, mozzarella, and a bunch of other things). Came with toast and home fries. He loved his and I tried the home fries - excellent. Glad we stumbled upon this place. I'll have to stop by next time I'm in the area.

This is such a cool diner! It is very close to I-95. They have great food and such a large menu. Eat of all, they serve breakfast all day! Our service was great, the waitress was kind and attentive to our table. What is interesting is that this is a cash only restaurant, but they have an ATM outside if you don’t have cash.

Great food! Friendly environment! All of our food was great only issue I had was that it was so busy the waitress forgot our kids drinks and they had finished their meals before we had a chance to say anything so we just didn’t bother. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the seasoning on the rosemary garlic hash browns are amazing.

Food was good. Coffee was weak. Homefries and such are a la carte. 2 breakfasts, 2 coffees and 2 juices came up to $43. Cash only, so I had to use their very own atm, which charges a $3 fee. So, with tip $50+ for breakfast. Insane. No breakfast is worth that much money.

Very small and quaint but menu choices are awesome at least for our liking. My daughter and I are the only ones in our family that "Do Breakfast " so the fact you can choose from the whole menu all day is perfect. I also like the help yourself with the coffee and drinks so you can make it and have it as soon as you walk in. In our book it's always a favorite quick stop especially when we're out on the motorcycle and if you're in Waterford their sister restaurant When Pigs Fly is just as yummy.

Having been to their sister restaurant "When Pigs Fly" I decided to stop in for breakfast with my mother the other morning. The restaurant was cute on the inside, nothing spectacular, but cozy. It seemed though, that we got a revolving cast of waitresses. Im not quite sure who was our waitress. One brought us drinks, another took our order, and a third delivered the food. And 2 of the 3 came back at separate times to check on us. I ordered the french toast and 2 eggs fried. And when they arrived both were overcooked. The eggs were quite dry and a little spongy like they sat under a heat lamp too long. And while my french toast looked delicious, it tasted like stale bread. All in all, it was edible but not very tasty. Food-1.5, Atmosphere-3.5~4, service-4 (although confusing, they were all polite and professional)

Fantastic, out-of-the-way spot for breakfast. Large portions, good menu variety, great (serve-yourself) coffee, very friendly staff. Cash only, but an ATM onsite. Go on a weekday or during the off-season...you'll typically have to wait 30-60 minutes to get a table on a summer Saturday.

This is our number one favorite family restaurant. We've been going here for 7 years. We started going when we had a new born, now we have 3 crazy kids. The staff have seen them grow and are always so friendly with our family. Oh and the food is always amazing. I've never had anything sub-par. The atmosphere is cozy, like home.

This is a great little place to get any meal really. The staff are always nice and supwr helpful. Prices are average but the food quality and quantity are very good. Plan on waiting for a table because they are always busy and for good reason. It is worth the wait!

The food is okay - specials sometimes are good, but overall I'm pretty indifferent on the food. It's nothing I couldn't easily make at home and probably make better myself. Service is usually nice, but sometimes can be slow due to the crowds. Definitely a place where the locals go and you'll see regulars there all the time. Good choice if you just need some breakfast staples and aren't looking for anything too out of the ordinary.

Great food, very reasonably priced. I really like the decor and the people there are usually quite nice. You can get a large breakfast with lots of extras for two people for around $30. The only negative is that they don't accept credit cards which is inconvenient if you don't typically carry cash. Years ago, I wouldn't have complained about that but there are really cheap services like Square/Stripe for small businesses.

Just had the best breakfast with my fiancé! Cute family owned original breakfast nook! Everyone was so nice and welcoming and the food was so amazing! I got the breakfast quesadilla and my fiancé got the breakfast burrito. We also had AMAZING hazelnut iced coffee and they were so nice and let us take a big cup of it home! Highly recommend and wish it were closer to us. We were coming home from the casino and stumbled upon this place! Next time we stay at the casino we will definitely remember to come back here!!

I honestly cannot tell you how this place has any ratings beyond one star. My fiance & I were in town for the weekend & this was by far the worst dining experience & yet most expensive we had. We showed up on a Sunday at around 10:45 am & there would be a 30 min wait. Fine, it's prime time for Sunday brunch & we figured the wait was indicative of how spectacular this place would be. WRONG. Let's get something straight, if you're going to run a breakfast spot do not make your customers get their own coffee - even Dunkin Donuts serves you a coffee. Or please make it feasible to do so, your staff is exceptionally rude & you have it squashed up in the corner right by the kitchen & register & you literally have created a cluster traffic pattern begging to have some innocent person bumped into while spilling hot coffe all over them. Hope your insurance is better than this business model, because that's a lawsuit DYING to happen. And it's not as though the staff couldn't be troubled with bringing it to the table especially at these prices. Next was the apathetic waitress and the ridiculous wait for some eggs & toast. After all this hassle we were expecting to be wowed by the food. My omlette was luke warm & the avocados were barely ripe. I've made better omlettes at home. After our waitress brought our food - we never saw her again. Didn't bother to ask us if we needed anything or how everything was. Next thing I know some other lady just walked over & put what was presumably a check face down on our table. Good thing we didn't want anything else because asking for the check wasn't one of them. Then came the shocking price. The price for an omelette & a quesadilla, it was $30. This is the biggest offense of all. We ate at MUCH better breakfast spots that weekend for less. My fiance & I live in the NYC area & for that price I have one overall message for the owners, I think you owe it to yourselves to start having some real insight about this deplorable establishment you call a restaurant & realize that while you think that purchasing more locally grown food equals good business, your place is the perfect example of why it is not.

Best Breakfast Ever! Hands down this ranks as one of the best breakfasts I've ever eaten. The atmosphere is inviting and the decor is retro. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The menu is huge and we were giddy with all of the choices. We went with the sampler and that was the way to go! We got to try the Banana Bread french toast and it was Amazing! We are from the South so we were skeptical about the grits but they did not disappoint! Don't skip this one! Yummy!

BEWARE: CASH ONLY! Signs are only posted in places after you've been seated. There is an ATM on site but it's an inconvenience to leave the table and pay an ATM fee along with your bill. They have self-serve coffee while you wait, which was nice. The restaurant and ladies room was clean but outdated. The staff isn't too friendly. Service was cut and dry. The food was not great quality for the price they charge in the mystic area. The quality of food and service is what turned me off the most. I'll likely try a different cafe before coming again.

Amazing little restaurant! Great coffee that is sever your self all you can drink, and the menu has a lot of options to even include breakfast burritos and quesadillas and for those that know this area there is not a whole lot of Mexican food around here so I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Service was awesome as well my only complaint was that it can get a little pricey, but keep in mind the bigger the menu generally the more they have to charge to keep that kind of stock for the variety. Food is excellent as is service. Prices outrageous. Nearly $50 for breakfast with nothing but an eggs breakfast special with homefries, toast and Apple juice and a chicken wrap. Love the place but who can afford those prices for a casual restaurant with no view and nothing fancy? Could have eaten a good steak or seafood for that price. Sorry, but we are done.

Kind of sad by the service I received. The atmosphere seemed really nice, the food was pretty good, they have an open coffee and tea bar. Ordered a house special omelet, came with roasted pork, banana peppers, red onion, spinach, tomatoes and feta. Got it, no spinach. They also forgot the chocolate milk ordered by one of us at the table and had to be reminded.We had been waiting 20 minutes to get seated, and another 20 for our food, so I let my server know it was missing spinach and they offered to cook some for me. I declined, because I was hungry, and just wanted to eat it. Asked if there was another option, maybe knock a few bucks off the bill. She said she would check, and came back in 10 minutes to tell me they magically had the spinach on the stove for me, and had just forgotten to put it in the omelet, putting a plate of spinach next to me. I thanked her, and let her know I didn't want it as I was done with my food at this point. We also do low carb, so we opted out of toast and home fries. The money they saved in our dietary preferences would have offset comping us spinach. I even ordered extra bacon and paid an upcharge. Sigh. It was good, but not that good. I wouldn't drive from RI again to come here. Update: my son was getting coffee and heard a conversation between our server and someone behind the counter where they told our server "just give her spinach, what's she going to say?".

Used to love this place. Went for breakfast when we were in Mystic and not pleased with the food I had. Ordered eggs, geometries, and toast. The home fries tasted nasty. Weird spices. I couldn't eat mine. Toast was stale. You would think they would tell what was in the potatoes on the menu. With so many dietary restrictions, some people cant have a lot of spices. Dont think I would go back for breakfast.

The matridee (spell check?) might be wearing a shirt that says something like - today is a great day to leave me alone - :) Food is good. Like basic wonderful good. I expect the place will be around for a long time. We go about once a week and will continue to do so. Misses says coffee is of good diner quality. Good luck parking anything with more than 4 wheels. A friend brought us here. Really amazing food. You may have to wait a while before being seated, due to the sheer amount of people trying to get in. (30 minute wait for us) But the food is super worth it, not to mention the BOTTOMLESS COFFEE which you can grab (self serve) while you wait to get seated.

I don't care for the way my potatoes were cooked. Homefries should be Krispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My bacon was a brown that only meat sitting in grease for too long gets to be and didn't have that yummy flavor I do love so much. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the lemon water I ordered was just rt. I won't be back however if you make it there... try the brisket hash... that was delicious... just wish it was a bigger portion.

Somewhere in Time serves breakfast and lunch. I've only had the breakfast burrito here which I love. the burrito has eggs, sausage, black beans, salsa and cheddar in a tortilla which is topped with salsa and cheddar and comes with home fries. Unlimited supply of various coffees.

I really wanted to to like this place . I had some egg dish with home fries and the paprika was so overwhelming that it was bitter and greasy... I would still give them another try if I go back I would try the pancakes, they look delicious
